"THE LAST MAN, ALONE WITH GOD."

Excerpts from the distress signal containing a message to The Imperial Confederation from "The Revenge" in The Sundering Dawn | Act 1: - The Giblim Incident.

New Alderaan is falling.

The burgeoning, fledgling Imperial Confederation is still reeling from the aftermath of the collapse of The Empire of the Lost and the end of the dreaded Dark Empire. After the loss of The Tion Hegemony , thereby ending the Imperial occupation of this ancient place in the galaxy, consolidation and politics were set to takeover as the Imperial remnants dealt with the internalize corruption which led to the demise of their previous states and the formation of new alliances set to give birth to a new confederation made for all Imperials that is set to usher the rise of an Iron Sun.

Then The Sundering Dawn began.

In the wake of the great Planetshift there are eerie tales of ships going missing across the Outer Rim Territories and how hyperspace lanes are collapsing. Sightings of strange creatures that are dubbed as STARWEIRDS have been sighted all across the galaxy and how entire star systems, that were once documented and substantiated for millennia, are no longer where they should be. Vast satellite galaxies, that were recorded beyond the regions of Wild Space out unto a frontier where few men have travelled to are now closer than ever before and inexplicably accessible as they enter orbit to our galaxy, destabilizing the status quo and order of things. Some speculate that the dreaded Blackwall risen by the Sith somehow has something to do with all of these disturbances in the force.

While members of the Sith Order, Royal Naboo Republic, Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders and The Diarchy deal with the visions of BLOOD, ECHO, AXIS & CALLADENE there are other heroes and villains, on the other side of our galaxy, along the Outer Rim Territories within the Ash Worlds-- in what was formerly Imperial space-- who are dealing with the eerie aftermath of The Giblim Incident. The planet of New Alderaan, once a stronghold for the former Imperial occupation, was lost in the wake of the Planetshift, after the former flagship of The Empire of the Lost was dispatched to quell the revolts which took place following it's economic collapse.

New triangulation, and astronomical data registered by the new Imperial Confederation suggest that the planet is falling through space. Something, no doubt linked to the other disturbances registered among the territories of the galactic superpowers, is causing New Alderaan to move through the cosmos into a new position along the Outer Rim Territories. As the galactic map is redrawn, and new lines are measured to differentiate the star sectors across the known galaxy, The Imperial Confederation make their move to investigate the anomaly, record the phenomena, and charter the new location of a planet designated as critical to their re-emergence as a galactic power.

As THE KILRAN TASKFORCE move on from the eeriness surrounding The Giblim Incident to find the world and investigate, creatures that have come forth from the celestial power that is CALLADENE are set to be their next adversary.

Can you stop the STARWEIRDS and discover what is happening to New Alderaan before it is too late?

"...Further analysis by the program suggests that the FOURTH BATTLE OF BASTION, which coincided with the liquidation of DREY INCORPORATED, and a crisis within the agricultural, and mining markets, which contributed to the economic collapse of The Empire, were linked and orchestrated by third parties hostile to the Kilran administration.

Imperial holdouts on
NEW ALDERAAN requested that the IMPERIAL SECTOR AUTHORITY deploy the military in the NEW ALDERAAN SYSTEM to quell the revolt, and re-establish control of the planet. The VELRAN-CLASS SUPER STAR DESTROYER, "THE REVENGE" -FLAGSHIP OF THE EMPIRE OF THE LOST, FORMERELY UNDER THE COMMAND OF EMPEROR KILRAN - was deployed on STARDATE: 150425.

"THE REVENGE" IS MISSING."
-- Excerpts of an analysis provided by The Direct Surveillance of Domestic Threats discovered during The Sundering Dawn - Act 1 | The Giblim Incident.

The world is falling.

TK-73 stood on the observation deck of The Karn's Resolve as The Kilran Taskforce followed New Alderaan. Through the viewing port nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Out in the cosmos, the sun continued to burn and shine brightly even in the deepest reaches of the dark. Transmissions from the planet surface continued to report pockets of the revolt which had risen up following the economic collapse of The Empire of the Lost. Everything was exactly how it was supposed to be according to expectations.

Yet nothing was right at all.

Somewhere in the Calamari sector, "THE REVENGE" was being salvaged by pockets of the taskforce and a quickly made-up skeleton crew which had splintered off to escort the Super Star Destroyer back to the Imperial Sector Authority for analysis. It's crew were all missing, and presumed dead, following the eerie incident that had occurred along The Giblim Route. To exacerbate tensions among the ships and crews of the taskforce, which had been mobilized to save the former flagship of The Empire after it had been deployed to New Alderaan to quell the revolts, analysis provided by The Direct Surveillance of Domestic Threats had placed the planet far from the quadrant that it should have been.

To discover what had happened to the missing crew of "THE REVENGE", and what was happening to the planet it had been sent to subjugate, The Kilran Taskforce moved to intercept the world using the triangulation provided by the investigation that TK-73 had performed on board the ghost ship. Upon their emergence from hyperspace they discovered, through their scans and analysis provided by their instruments on board the half-dozen Star Destroyers and Cruisers which made up the taskforce, that space itself was being warped causing the planet, it's sun and other extraterrestrial objects to move together through the cosmos.

It didn't make sense.

The planet itself should be lifeless under such extreme force. Pulled out of orbit of the sun, combined with change on it's axis, and multiple other factors which all coincided with it being moved in such a way, would have resulted in the atmosphere being vaporized; earthquakes that would have destroyed entire cities; oceans caving in onto land as the planet was literally shaken by such extreme gravitational energy; and more natural phenomena that made TK-73's head hurt as she tried to reason with what she and the other members of the taskforce had discovered.

Yet none of these events took place. New Alderaan had not been knocked out of orbit of the sun. It's atmosphere was fine. No reports of earthquakes, or tsunamis. All transmissions being picked up from the planet indicated that it was caught up in the frenzy of revolution, and anarchy following the economic collapse of The Empire of the Lost, and the end of it's Imperial occupation. It was as if they didn't know what was happening to them, and yet scans clearly indicated gravitational forces were present, causing space itself to bend and warp, as the planet fell through the cosmos towards a destination that she did not know.

Behind all of it was the same Disturbance in the Force that she had felt for the past several weeks since the conclusion of THE SARTINAYNIAN CRISIS. Elusive, yet ever present, somewhere out there in the galaxy, which she felt was the cause of these strange and eerie phenomena. Folding her arms into either sleeve, TK-73 kept her gaze upon the planet, as her mind raced at the possibilities. What could be causing all of these strange events that were taking place across the galaxy?

Reports from across the Outer Rim Territories into the Mid Rim told of other eerie coincides and strange stories. Some were even emanating from the luxurious, rich systems of The Core Worlds. All except from the systems hidden behind the dread BLACKWALL raised by her adversaries in The Sith Empire. Were they behind this? Everyone galactic power were suffering under the effects of this strange, mysterious, elusive presence in the force. The reports were from everywhere: Diarchy space, Alliance space, Nabooian space. All except known Sith space.

Was it a weapon of some kind that the Sith had created during their period of isolation? Was THE BLACKWALL raised to obfuscate, and stop the other galactic powers from discovering such a weapon, before it was too late? What could make an entire world, such as New Alderaan, move like this? Was it them, or something else?

Meditating on the force, TK-73 closed her eyes to reach out once more. To try and glimpse into the elusiveness of the mystery in an attempt to acquire insight, and guidance on it. The meditation techniques she used were learned during her time as a Jedi. Her hatred, anger, and fear were replaced by feelings of calmness, focus and joy. The force swirled through her as she tried to reach out into the force while her Imperial associates took up positions to deal with the oddities surrounding this crisis.

Finally, at long last, a vision came forth.

The Vision of ECHO.

He stood in front of a large see-through container, his eyes filled with a darkness hidden within the vibrant hues of crimson and gold, these orbs filled with malice and intense desire looked upon the contents of the container, the spectacle of that which manifested itself within said container reflected within his very own eyes. An energy, crackling like lightning, yet flowing like liquid, like blood, began to twist and turn, expand and contract, strengthened and energized by the vicinity of the still-living souls of those connected to the force being mentally tormented and forced to be subject to unimaginable horror and terror, unleashing their latent powers in order to fuel that which was concentrated within the large central containment chamber.

"These are strange times, times in which the will of many can truly, unabatedly serve the will of one," The deep, raspy voice emanated from within the voicebox of the mask He wore, a grating chuckle escaped the device as the man reached for the container with a set of sharp, electrum nails, gently caressing the hardened see-through surface of the containtment chamber. A hackling cough suddenly seemed to wrack the man's body, a wheeze, slow and sickly, like a final gurgle, a final gasp of life leaving the man's throat.

Everything was strange, everything was out of order, even for one who had found himself to stand not within the natural order, but outside of it, whatever was occuring within the galaxy was proving that even one who had thought themselves beyond the reach of the force and all it entailed, was still bound to some of the natural laws which bound the galaxy together.

The Force itself felt warped, twisted into a mockery of itself, hyperspace was writhing in response, the galaxy was being torn apart by an unseen force. Yet, rather than fear it, rather than cower from the strange nature of that which was rearing its head, the Lord of Hunger saw this as an opportunity, a simple fact to intrigue him, to peak his inate curiosity and thirst for knowledge.

Reports came flooding in, notes on a Super Star Destroyer; The Revenge having been found in rather peculiar circumstances, with no crew, no apparent logs that could detail whatever had happened to its crew and ofcourse the ship itself, though while this itself was already interesting, the additional news of New Alderaan's fate was perhaps even more intriguing. A planet being drawn out of its orbit inexplicably, a changed axis, a hampered and reversed rotation, without any reason or rhyme to explain it all, this was quite the intel for Credius to work with.

Turning around, the man reached for a small device within his cloak, a miniature holoprojector, which he utilized in order to attempt to contact a certain individual, one who considering their own agenda and way to get information from the furthest ends of the galaxy and the deepest dredges of society.

Yet as soon as he aimed to press the button to activate the device, his eyes blanked, a feeling of utter void washed over him, it was as if in a very brief moment, the Lord of Hunger could see it all, yet he could not grasp it, he could not fathom it, only to finally find himself staring at images, at something that could happen, could have happened, or was yet to occur...but one thing he knew for certain...

It was a vision...

A Vision of ECHO

The Kilran Taskforce, part of the Imperial Confederation, comprised of elements of the Empire of the Lost and Dark Empire in some manner, had extended an invitation that the Aether join them in pursuit of New Alderaan, a planet. Given their abrupt appearance in the vicinity of the Super Star Destroyer, "The Revenge," it was surprising that they had extended such an invitation. At first they'd not been inclined to engage the Aether and his crew, but they had been enraptured in uncovering the mystery that had afflicted one of their largest, most powerful vessels. Once they'd established a perimeter they'd been more open to dialogue with a foreign vessel of unknown make or origin. Suun hadn't taken their initial reaction to heart; after all, they hadn't opened fire on the Aether either. At the time his size and armament may have spared them all that unfortunate confrontation. A matter the taskforce had made up for in number should the Aether abruptly turn hostile. A prudent strategic move on their part -- though it likely had more to do with their pursuit.

Which brought this Report back to the Chase. For New Alderaan. A planet.

Despite the hyperspace distortion initially seeming familiar, no one of the Aether could honestly say they'd ever heard of -- or seen -- a solar system relocate. Further, relocate intact without massacreing all life in it.

The Aether was no science vessel out to explore the cosmos, so they didn't have countless scientists to study or hypothesis on what had or was presently occuring. Their Chief Engineer had assembled a report stating that it was not impossible for these events to occur, just inexplicable. A conclusion that answered the question without actually answering the question, but Suun didn't rebuke them for that. These certainly were strange times.

While they had nothing to do with the Imperium -- so far as the Aether knew -- such unprecidented events warranted investigation. It could serously hamper their investigation into who was furnishing their enemies, and pose a danger to the ship and his crew. With that in mind, Suun had graciously accepted the opportunity to accompany or join the taskforce in its pursuit.

Admiral Suun stood in the Helios, the command rings, on the bridge of the Aether, her attention on the holographic display recreating the peculiar spatial 'distortion' they were witnessing. Perhaps others in the taskforce had the scientific resources with which the information may be useful. The crew was doing their best to unravel its mystery, but they were a ship meant for battle not... whatever was right before their eyes. Certainly not something to meet in battle.

Tod was fiddling with his helmet when a screen near where he sat suddenly turned on and started blasting music. The loud noise startled him enough to fall back in his chair, landing on the hard metal floor.

"Not funny, rust-bucket," he grumbled at the ship, knowing there'd be no response.

Lying there for a moment, Tod sighed and pulled himself up using the desk he had been working at. Rubbing the back of the head, he winced at the slight bump where it had hit the unforgiving floor. Shaking his head in annoyance, he checked the computer to see what had triggered the alert to go off.

It was from the rogue transmitter that he had been listening into for the past few days. Ever since hyperlanes stopped working normally, he figured information was key. He had joined several illegal relays to gather what he could. So far, none had proven useful. This, however, was an emergency alert. And he had set the volume way too loud.

Reading it, he muttered in confusion.

"A ship reappearing? Unconfirmed if there was a crew..." Tod read under his breath. It seemed like there was only so much information gathered through taps and other listening methods.

Standing, he grabbed his helmet off the desk and moved toward the ladder to pull himself out of his armory. Once topside, he headed for the rifle hanging on the wall.

"Guess I'll scavenge the ship. Who knows? Maybe it's haunted," Tod said, trying to amuse himself. Moving to the bridge's chair, he sat down, spun it toward the controls, and immediately tapped a button.

The whirring of the engines vibrated through the ship as they powered up. Tod spun the chair toward the navigation computer next to the steering console. The transmission had come with coordinates for anyone interested. Tapping them in, the confirmation button blinked and emitted a little beep. But the beep seemed to get slower with each passing moment.

A cold feeling washed over the mercenary. Though he reached out to tap the confirmation button, it felt as though it was getting farther away with each beep. Tod closed his eyes, and the noise seemed to fade. When he opened them again, he was no longer in his ship.

En Route to New Alderaan

Selrik had not slept well of late. Things were changing in the galaxy around him that were difficult to perceive. Though the Empress did not seem bothered by them, something that he found annoying, he was. Routes that had been established long ago were suddenly tenuous at best, downright deadly at worst. Several transports had been lost with shipments of goods being used to construct new starships and fortifications that he had the misfortune of having to undertake the effort to find. Or, rather, he had to delegate someone to undertake that effort, but it reflected back upon him and he was ultimately responsible for the answers.

Worse, one of their largest vessels, a dreadnought larger than any he had personally laid eyes on, had sent a distress signal and then been discovered completely devoid of life in the location where New Alderaan should have been. They'd deployed the Reaper's to the location to secure the space around it, along with elements of the fleet and several of the Imperial Knights, but they hadn't turned up any signs of the crew. All they had managed to do was triangulate the current location of New Alderaan.

As Grand Moff, the location of New Alderaan shifting was something of concern to him because, as the impending capital of the Confederation, it fell under his Moffdom. Organizing a force of vessels to go in search of it would have been easy enough, but with the triangulated position, he just needed to utilize those coordinates and they could make their way to the world. En route, they received a communication that an uprising was ongoing, and their assistance was being requested in quelling it. Leave it to those who wanted more than their fair share to find an opportunity in crisis for making a play on power.

He was fortunate, as it were, that he was untouchable by the Force. Were it not so, he would have been sucked into the same vision that plagued and haunted numerous others. Many of the crew around him reported strange visions and several indicated a strange marking upon their hand. The work of something in the Force, he knew. Only something of that disturbing power could cause such an effect on people as this had. It angered him that said power could be used in such a fashion to affect people throughout the galaxy against their will.

He stood on the bridge, watching the whiteness of hyperspace outside of the viewport, waiting for their arrival at the coordinates indicated as the likely location of New Alderaan. It was probable that others would traversing to the system as well. If they were, he hoped they would remain disciplined in how they approached the situation. If they did not, there would be a lot of disciplining that would take place post this event.

"How long until arrival?" he asked the captain of the vessel.

"Five minutes, Moff Lorcas. I've already relayed orders to have all hands ready stations upon arrival."

Selrik nodded, but didn't look away from the viewport. His crew was good. They could handle it. It was everyone else he had to worry about.

Novik had waded into the thick of the Imperial Confederation's first crisis since its foundation. Her father was off chasing his own visions, while her brother had become engrossed in pod races of all things, and was off elsewhere in the Galaxy, his mind even further away than that.

Leaving Novik to represent their family to Dark Ladies and Moffs and Imperial Knights. She was not, herself, a member of the Inquisition and wasn't a Squire Knight. Officially, she was just an ordinary citizen of the Imperial Confederacy. Who used the Force. And had her own Lightsaber.

It was a little much for a fourteen year old girl.

She wasn't angry with her father and brother, not really. The truth was she just wanted them here, being here and guiding her through this, rather than being alone and dealing with a situation that was not appropriate for a fourteen year old girl.

That wasn't totally fair. The Empire was dealing with crisis after crisis. She needed to think of what she could do rather than dwelling on the fact that she shouldn't. Jedi threw children younger and less trained than her into situations, and she was better than any Padawan her age.

She had already shown her talents on board the Revenge itself by pulling up the medical records. She hadn't had much time to do more than pull them from the system before the location of New Alderaan had been found. Her instructions from her father had been to assist Lady Varokscar Lady Varokscar and while Novik was eager to dig deeper into her investigation, she did so at the Dark Lady's side, awaiting her instructions.
