Description: After the insurrection on Kaeshana and the bequeathing of the Citadel of Dusk to House Zambrano, immediately preparations for its rebirth began. The Arch-King Kaine Zambrano alongside the King of Thule and Rattatak, the Arch-Prince Braxus Zambrano brought the best imperial architects under their command together and along with a horde of laborers began the process. The entire citadel had been gutted down to the foundation and redesigned starting with its size, which was increased by approximately a hundred and fifty percent. The monarchs imported massive quantities of black stone fresh from the mines of Cropis on Panatha which can be seen in the exterior design of this malefic fortress.

The two monarchs meticulously poured over the plans for their new territory and one of the many decisions they made, was its purpose. Almost immediately they decided it would serve as both a fortress, and a laboratory for nefarious experimentation especially involving the people of Kaeshana, and it needed to serve this purpose. A common design shared among many holdings of House Zambrano were the militaristic designs in the halls, with many designed to serve as choke points. To accommodate this an expanded complex underground was designed to act as a containment facility for any subjects brought in. Immediately above this complex one would find a level devoted to a barracks for the Crownguard Order who garrison the tower, and one needed to pass through this level in order to reach the slaves ensuring maximum security.

The focus on the citadel was a laboratory and research facility rather than a personal home and so the two monarchs decided to cut out a vast majority of the miscellaneous rooms. Most of the citadels levels were reserved for staff living quarters, laboratories, testing facilities, forges, holding pens for their more progressed creatures. It wasn’t until one neared the top where things began to change. A second Crownguard barracks separated the rest of the tower from the apex where the personal wing of the two monarchs was designed. In these halls one could find their expansive personal chambers, a kitchen, a dining room, two offices, a sitting room for entertaining guests, and other miscellaneous rooms.

The entire complex was filled with a variety of cameras and sensors as part of the expansive defenses installed. Approximately four dual turbolaser turrets were installed on the citadel for aerial defenses, with fixed gun emplacements that could be moved around in order to take on intruders from the ground. The last major defense the citadel has is the military base around it which garrisons a force of the Blackblade Guard, who defend this citadel from behind its tall dark walls.

History: Long ago the Citadel of Dusk was constructed by the Eldorai Queen Anais II many centuries prior to the cataclysm that devastated Kaeshana, ultimately leaving both the citadel and the natural inhabitants of the world decimated. Years would pass as the citadel continuously fell into disrepair until the First Order came to Kaeshana seeking to aid the beleaguered Eldorai who had either by choice, or fate, remained on their ruined homeworld. However; before the First Order could properly conduct their humanitarian mission on the shattered world they were beset by the foul forces of the Galactic Alliance.

Through might of arms and sheer determination the First Order cast back the Alliance, sending them screaming into the void and out of the system. With Kaeshana firmly under the control of the First Order, they set about continuing their delayed humanitarian mission by detoxifying the world and building brand new structures and settlements to house the survivors of the cataclysm. To this end the Citadel of Dusk was torn down, its foundations uprooted and all traces of it obliterated from existence.

In its place rose a spire of glossy obsidian and heartless steel.

The Zambranos had always been stalwart allies of the First Order since the inclusion of their kingdoms into the territory of the Order, and had fought valiantly on the Order’s behalf against the trespassing Alliance dogs. As reward for their unwavering service they were allowed to build a new construct upon the recently acquired world, and they chose the former site of the Citadel of Dusk for their new fortress.

Within its dire halls they would conduct all manners of monstrous science and magic to further the goals of the Order, warping flesh to their wills to create new horrid amalgamations to fight against the armies of the Light in the war that was to come.

Intent: To replace the demolished Citadel of Dusk on Kaeshana after the successful takeover by the First Order
