' Warriors who know that the Force is not a shield to protect the useless, but is, in reality, a weapon to empower the worthy. '

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • | Intent | To submit a specialized unit with Force Sensitivity artificially bestowed upon them.
  • | Image Credit | Source
  • | Role | Force Sensitive Hunter Unit
  • | Permissions | N/A
  • | Links | The Reborn

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Seekers like many other groups that shared a similar purpose in the past such as The Inquisitorious are a group of Force Sensitive individuals trained in hunting down and bringing down other Force Sensitives. What sets the Seekers apart from past groups is their artificial infusion of the Force to enhance them. Individuals of exceptional skill and physique are chosen to fill its ranks and imbued with the Force, granted skills and ability only possible by those who could utilize the Force - A process done by the Anzati Sith Kor Vexen through Essence Transfer; imparting the skills and powers of individuals he had consumed in the past into individuals deemed worthy of handling the power. Seekers do not have any 'specific' uniform but are traditionally clad in black and masked, with a majority of them wielding lightsabers, though some opt for use of ranged weapons or weapons of their own personal design and function. The emblem of the Seekers is a red, upside-down version of the Anzati Sith's to denote their fealty to him in exchange for the power he grants them.

COMBAT INFORMATION
  • | Unit Size | Medium
  • | Unit Availability | Rare
  • | Unit Experience | Elite
  • | Combat Function |
Seekers are dispatched to handle tasks where hostile Force-Sensitive individuals may be present in which case traditional infantry may fail. They specialize in handling such individuals and are trained to summarily subdue or terminate them if capturing them alive proves to be too difficult. They are a supplementary unit on the battlefield and are traditionally deployed in small groups of three or four; typically one naturally gifted individual powerful in the Force (Typically a recruited member of the Saaraishash) and two to three exceptional individuals with the Force artificially infused into them. When not playing an active combat role on the battlefield, Seekers are typically assigned to information gathering as well as cloak and dagger operations, something similar to that of Jedi Shadows. They hold no tactical authority on the field, but at the same time pursue their own motives in whatever way they see fit and answer to no one other than the one whom they serve under.

Strengths |
  • | Predators | Seekers often hunt in small groups, typically giving them the edge in an encounter where they are pursuing a singular target by numbers alone. They are also incredibly skilled in the pursuit of their prey, with excellent tracking and combat skills to locate and bring down their quarry. Where one is to be found, there are usually several others lurking in the shadows, waiting for an opportunity to strike.
Weaknesses |
  • | Natural Talent | While those naturally gifted in the Force that makes up the senior members of the Seekers do not suffer this unfortunate drawback, those that were artificially infused with the Force are typically not as skilled as Master or veteran Knight level Force Users. While they are skilled enough to deflect blaster bolts and use basic Force powers like Push and Pull effectively enough to overwhelm isolated targets, they pale in one on ones with natural Force-Sensitives.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Given the inherent danger Force-Sensitives pose to traditional infantry units on the battlefront, a new unit was established using a rather unique process to enhance the individuals within the unit. Through a once thought lost ritual, those who were selected to be a member of the Seekers were artificially infused with the powers of the Force, turning Non-Force Sensitive candidates into ones capable of using basic Force powers and an enhanced combat ability that would allow them to counter hostile Force-Sensitive individuals on the battlefield. Though initially purposed to be solely a non-military detachment that functioned as assassins more than anything, their presence on the battlefront would greatly reduce casualties from infantry detachments meeting resistance against Force Users.
The Seekers are comprised largely of former Non-Force Sensitive members given the powers of the Force, with senior members consisting of members from either the Saaraishash or the Brotherhood of the Sith who were naturally gifted Force Users. They function much like a pack, using numbers and ferocity to take apart any individual they come across; after all a single Jedi or hostile Force User could not hope to protect themselves from several angles at once. Given the nature of each individual, the introduction of artificial Force infusion enhances their base talents, exponentially increasing specialties such as melee combat, ranged combat, weapons handling, etc.
Seekers are granted their gift by Kor Vexen, utilizing his innate talent of Essence Transfer associated with his feeding and reversing it to chosen candidates. This allows for him to transfer skills and experience to them while infusing them with a powerful connection to the Force associated with an individual that Vexen had slain in the past.

This is a solid little force-user hunter submission, please keep them far far away from my Jedi.

There are just a few small points I want to clear with you before we move this submission on.

Template

  • | Intent | To submit a specialized unit with Force Sensitivity artificially bestowed upon them.

  • | Links | The Reborn

While your submission is correct for the old template, you're actually missing the permissions field which is present on the new template. As per codex rules, 'The entire template must be used in your submission.' Could you please add the required field to the submission?

Weapons

Assortment of Weapons/Explosives/Tools

Could you expand on the above? What kinds of weapons, explosives and tools are available to the unit? In its current state, the description is a little too vague and as such you could conceivably claim that they have any weapon you need for a particular situation. By filling it out with a little more detail, anyone facing the unit will know what they're dealing with and prevent any issues further down the line.

Added the Permissions section - Slipped my mind when having the submission moved for judging.
As for the assortment bit. It's quite literally what it says - They'll utilize whatever blaster, vibroweapon, grenades/explosive devices, equipment etc. that they get their hands on or specialize in. The Seekers are written as not exclusively lightsaber-wielding individuals, something comparable to the Knights of Ren if you'd like a better idea. I didn't specify any links for the purpose that they are probably going to use generic equipment unless a PC ends up writing their own unique gear.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this.

Thank you for adding the permissions section.

Regarding the assortment, that makes sense to me, if you could please include words to the safe effect as your explanation in the submission that will make it clear to anyone who comes along to read the submission in the future.
