The Rise of the Black Bha'lir [Open to CIS]

With people leaving the cave, Petra heard the blue man from the blue man group offer a ride. She planned to correct him about the words he chose to use. The first thing needed to be done was her taking the moment to speak privately to the men that were with her. They were told what they needed to do while she was away. She wanted them to prepare the ship for starters. Then followed it up with contacting La’Ca back on Dathomir. Petra’s plan for dealing with this Black Bha’lir. In her mind, she wanted her La’Ca to assist them since out of her cult, that witch was the only one that could easily follow the ridiculous codes of Black Bha’lir.

Once done with them, Petra walked out to take a seat on Cyran’s speeder. No words were given yet. In her mind, it would be more amusing to wait for the speeder to get going before pushing him out. Of course, it would be after she educates him how not to use sweetie unless she says it.

The ministry was mostly empty at this time expect for the droid guards. Anyone who knew the office knew it was way to quiet. There was usually scientists or others wandering around late into the night. But it was silent and empty. In the office of the minister was a protocol droid known as e-espo it woke up rather suddenly looking at the armoured man standing before it. It wasn't long before it reconsigned the man as master. The man said nothing allowing the droid to stand there looking at him.
kytzqkd1.png
The man then would walk out of the room and head towards a simply simple wall. The wall would then part showing an elevator. It let the man down into the depths of the complex where all of the data he was looking for. He knew there were people coming. He could feel the presence of one [member="Scherezade deWinter"] among their number. This was going to be fun. The board was set and they had the first move.
kytzqkd1.png
However when they arrived they would find more than the normal complement of droids. They would find some of his newer creations floating around. Such as the trio-death-bots, the-rolly-polly, ant-droid, c-3-drone-droids. There were no humans or life-forms beside him here. Expect for in the hydroponics section where there some of his projects were perfected as he collected the data from them. Now he would wait for them to appear.

At least the bird had some sense in him. But Cim thought the others may be hard to control at it related to Code One. Son of a Sith harlot, couldn’t I have fallen in love with a handsome, rugged smuggler who enjoyed killing sentient beings, too pleasure even in it like she did?

While Kingsley tried to cozy up to Ms. deWinter, Jorge slid in beside her.

“I’ll be honest with you, I have not been with them very long. But Nydo, one of the Old Guard has been the leader as far as I’ve known. There is a Tribunal he reports to but their identities remain a secret, even to him.”

She powered up the speeder, and they zoomed off towards the Ministry of Science. “The pay is good and is dependent on what sort of jobs we take on. Salary is determined by the Tribunal. Apprentices like you will receive upwards of 20,000 credits per mission. I hope that’s enough for you. You do seem like an enterprising type, Jorge.”

It did not take long to reach the Geonosian Science Headquarters, but it was eerily quiet outside, as though the facility had been abandoned. Cim’s stomach growled audibly, which made her wonder if Jorge would not mind the feeding advances of an Anzati, but he seemed a bit skittish already. Better not push it. Not yet.

“You go on in. I’ll wait for Nydo here,” she said, keeping the speeder engine on. Under the noise of the vehicle she could hear the faint hum of security droids.

That was it, then. They'd all move themselves towards the Ministry of Science HQ, and then things would be in motion. Scherezade suddenly and magically had a new idea for something she needed to do there, and she'd have to work quickly to do it. The coordinates of Maramere didn't truly interest her - she was here mostly to wash the Black Bah'lir's hand, so that her hand would be washed instead.

As everyone began to depart, Scherezade felt the edge of one of her knives through her pants, and made to leave as well, when the bird man suddenly showed up in... A freighter? That was decorated like... oh Force, was he for real? The young Sithling blinked once, and then blinked a second time for good measure. And then, she frowned.

"Rule number one," she spoke, her voice as stern as that of a fifth grade teacher, "if you call me 'baby' again, I'm pulling your beak out and feeding it to the rancors on Ryloth." And then she just stared. Other rides had filled up. She was either going to have to walk it, or run very fast with the Force, or... join bird man.

She rolled her eyes and got into the speeder. "And thanks for the ride."

Jorge liked what Cim told him about her organization, and when it came to the pay, he responded with, "Oh, at least 20,000 per mission is great, if that's the case then I may just be joining you at the end of this." He smiled at her compliment. "Thanks, I only wanted to know what I needed to bring to the table. So you can count on me."

When they got to the facility, Jorge followed her instructions and hopped out of the speeder. "Thanks for the ride Ms. Salro." He said as he started to walk over to a nearby boulder, Jorge sat down and waited for the rest of the gang to show up. In the meanwhile, he looked over his pistol and made sure there were enough shots left in the gas canister. Along with making sure he had all of his weapon attachments just in case, Jorge didn't know what type of resistance to expect inside, so he wanted to be prepared for anything.

Grinning to himself he got in along with the women he started up the speeder, letting it speed up and following the other craft. As they sped across the arid environment he looked out over at the horizon. Despite the planet being home to billions of bugs, he felt like there was a sort of beauty from just being on the planet of such industrious people.

The Duros would mainly hum some to himself on the drive. It being one of his own tunes he was practicing. But after a bit he spoke over to the women sitting beside him. "So, what brought you to this meet up? Me personally I just wanted something to do. Go on an adventure you know. You can't really sing about your cool experiences if you don't have any. You know what I mean?"

However, something told Cyran that she wasn't particularly in the mood to speak with him. But little do he know that she wished ill upon him. As they approached their destination they got pretty close. Nothing would really set then back on their course unless something pretty radical happened on the travel.

All legs, the Anazti exited the landspeeder, blaster at her hip. She surveyed the scene outside of the science facility, her preternatural senses picking up sights and scents a normal human would not. Jorge prepared himself, ,and Cim started towards the Ministry of Science.

A jawa scuttled over to Cim, seemingly out of place on Geonosis, though it was a desert-ish planet.

“Are you Ms. Salro?”

“Yes?”

“Nydo is dead.” The mysterious jawa showed her a holopic of the human’s corpse. She began to breathe heavily a shallow, hollow sound, her chest rising and falling rapidly. Tears pooled in her eyes, her face twisting into a tortured mask of pain.

Falling to her knees, Cim screamed, “Nooooooooooooo!!!!” and let out a feral, blood-curdling, soul-shattering howl. Any type of security would now be alerted to the presence outside of the science facility.

“Jorge, go! Get the coordinates.”

Cim picked herself back up, a bewildered look upon her sinister features. One knee of her leather pants had a huge hole in them, and her pale skin was exposed like the raw grief she felt over being told that her lover was no more.

Securing herself in the speeder was the first thing she did before anything else. Of course, there was a reason besides safety first. The craft did not seem like a rust bucket. Petra did not acknowledge the hums. Instead, she mouthed a spelled. “Apel pe nisipul de bug-uri, doresc umor în plictiseala mea.” Even when he spoke to Petra, she mouthed the spell over and over. Focusing on causing red smoke like ichor to form.

Her will began to force the ichor around the speeder. Increasing the speed while some of it slipped into the vehicle itself. Like a snake, it moved over Cyran to squeeze his legs. The ichor lifted and took the blue man out of the speeder. She did not just throw him out, but the ichor was used to drag the man behind.

Petra leaned back in the seat, a large smile on her face. The spell kept going until they reached the destination. Unbuckling and stepping out. The witch had a great greeting she had to listen too. Cim screamed was one thing she was not expecting in this mess. However, there was a blue man that needed attention.

Moving to the back of the speeder, Petra squatted down next to Cyran. She grabbed the man’s collar and pulled him up. Nothing was said, the silence was all there was between the two. Then came her tongue, it licked his cheek. Still not a word as she got up to walk away. The lick on the man’s face did react. Ichor began to grow out from the path of the lick. It moved over him. Snap of her fingers and the ichor plunged inwards. The lick was actually an act to cause the force to heal the man since he was dragged.

The witch looked down at Cim, letting a sigh of disappoint out. Then focused on the building’s wall. Reaching out with the force to grab it, she pulled hard on it to cause it rip open like two hands pulling double doors open. There was no real care about what she was doing. It was a bit amusing. Get caught on cam and let her son, Isley see what happens when she gets bored a little bit. At least she was not on some planet enslave the people to worship her.

The scream startled Jorge and he looked up from his weapon to see [member="Cim Salro"] on the ground. He started to ask her what was wrong but she spoke before he could, giving him an order. Jorge was hesitant to follow. He trusted his ability to get things done, but he didn't know what would be waiting for him in that building. He made up his mind eventually to do as she asked, not wanting to upset his employer more than she was. Jorge reluctantly stood up and turned towards the facility to witness the witch in the group tear a hole in its walls. He had never noticed that she or the blue musician arrived during the commotion.

Jorge walked over towards [member="Petra Cavataio"] and joined her at the hole in the wall. He was no longer hesitant about going in without everyone, before he didn't know how much power the band really possessed. Jorge drew his weapon and gestured towards the opening. "Shall we?"

It was ironic really that Cim spent much of her life, holding onto a limp body, watching in gleeful anticipation as she drained the soup from them, feeling their pulse slow, a flutter of death upon their eyelids. But thinking of it in terms of Nydo?

Devastated. No other word came close to how she felt.

But she raised up, dusted herself off and unholstered her blaster. And you know that little speech where Cim said to keep the pistols on stun? The Anzati completely ignored her own advice, her grief making her into a lethal weapon.

If only she had organic targets.

“Feth it, anyone have an ion blaster? Nydo was supposed to show up with a crate of them.”

Sprinting to catch up to Jorge, she also wiggled through the hole in the wall that Petra had created and said, “Be careful. I need you alive later, human.” The new Old Guard of the Black Bha'lir, taking upon the mantle of leader for the group, led the way into the facility towards the databank which held the coordinates.

Cyran was a little confused when the speeder started going faster, but hey, it meant getting to their destination quicker. At least that's what the Duros thought. However, this weird rest mist like stuff started taking over. "Hey uh..." Cyran then looked over at the women beside him. Who he saw was moving her mouth.

The next thing he knew was that he was flung from his seat. Being raised up and over the speeder. The only being held by his leg was suddenly being dragged across the ground behind the vehicle. At first he was just really confused. But soon after he realized what was happening he was feeling the pain of being dragged across the ground at high speeds. Especially over such rough, hard terrain. Leaving behind a trail of dust as he body ungracefully tumbled behind after each little bump or rock hit him on the way.

When they finally got to their destination and stopped he was in a rough place. One, he was really dirty. Two, he needed some medical help. He could barely tell that they had stopped, his head was spinning and his vision was blurry after an good hit a rock got on his head. His already pretty featureless face was seemingly smoothed out even more, and his neck felt pretty crooked. The next thing he knew he was off the ground, and all he could see was the blurry image of the supernatural women. The next thing he felt was the sudden feeling her tongue against his cheek. When she finally walked away from him he fell back down even as the ichor was beginning to heal him.

Slowly he got up to his knees and was able to see clearly again. Looking over he saw what the situation was, but was much less enthused about moving along with there mission. "But the show must go on..." Cyran simply said to himself. His voice still as gritty as always. Getting up e drew his blaster and joined the group.

Kingsley

intergalactic bird of mystery
"Hold onto your human bits, sweetheart!" before [member="Scherezade deWinter"] could even glare at him, Kinglsey slammed down on a big red button on the center console, kicking his XP-38 into overdrive.

They were both thrown back into their seats by sheer force of acceleration, breaking off from the others as the Hiitian and his reluctant passenger boosted ahead. Too drunk to keep heading in a straight line, it took several moments for the bird to remember that only [member="Cim Salro"] had the exact coordinates to their final destination. Before he knew it, the others were already distant specks in his rear view. He tossed a sidelong glance at Scherezade, gulping slightly the moment he saw her unamused facial expression. At least, he was pretty sure that was anger. With humans it was difficult for him to tell, it was either anger or constipation. In either case, he should probably get them back on track as quickly as he could.

"I can fix this! I can fix this!" he squawked frantically, slamming down on the handbrake and drifting the landspeeder in one massive semicircle.

By the time Kingsley had completed their circuit, both his feathers and Scherezade's hair were hopelessly askew for the smuggler had not bothered to activate the speeder's transparisteel top. They were now also behind the other speeders again, this time his speeder was the distant speck in their review. Slamming on his acceleration peddle, they both experienced minor whiplash as he struggled to coax the XP-38 back to furious life so that he would not lose track of the others.

They didn't pull onto the same city street as the Ministry of Science building until a short time after the others, and even in the distance they could hear Salro's sudden piercing cry and glimpse her slump down to her knees in an emotional display of grief.

"That doesn't sound good," he shook his head, keen eyes catching sight of distantly approaching building security even through the blur of his intoxication, "That's even worse! This was supposed to be a smash and grab, right? In and out before they even notice!"

He glanced over at Scherezade, then scanned their surroundings. He groaned.

"Looks like we're improvising," he squawked at his passenger, "I have a brilliant plan. Hold on!"

Not waiting to hear her objections, Kingsley pulled them around into a violent u-turn and then circled the block until he had turned back onto a city street that led directly to the front of the Ministry of Science. Throttling down on his foot pedal, the Hiitian's talons revved the speeder's engines a few times, and then he released his brakes and they were off like a rocket, headed straight towards the main threshold of the Ministry at the XP-38's top speed.

At the last moment, Kingsley drifted to their right and rerouted full power to their repulsorlifts, springing off the street and up the arced back of a labor vehicle. For a brief, terrifying moment they were both hurtling through the air before violently crashing through Ministry windows on the second floor of the building.

"Rrrrawwwk! Nobody move!" the drunken freighter captain stumbled out of his smoking speeder and chambered a round into his scattergun, "This is a distraction!"

[member="Jorge"] | [member="Petra Cavataio"] | [member="Cyran Vaas"]

"Well then, I guess so." Taking Cim's actions as an answer, Jorge followed her inside the building.

Almost as if he knew the plan would go awry, Jorge was prepared and he had his own ion blaster. While fitting his ion attachment to his pistol, he said, "I have one, but only one."

Having earlier been out of the range of the conversation between Cim and the Jawa, he didn't know that Nydo had been killed, which prompted Jorge to ask, "What happened to Nydo? Is he not coming along now..?" He didn't really need an answer, he thought that Nydo had abandon them to do the work for him. It turned out that in the end he wasn't going to get an answer, because he was interrupted by loud sounds of crashing coming from the upper levels of the building. Since there was such an upset going on, Jorge didn't think much of Cim's request, and he responded with a, "Whatever you say."

Jorge thought that all the personnel would be distracted by whatever that sound was, and now would be the perfect time for them to make their move. Ready to begin, he started to walk deeper into the facility, following Cim's holomap.

Petra smiled as it appeared the non-harming rule was gone. This allowed the witch to come up with her ideas of fun. So as they began moving to get the map. There came an explosion of sorts above them. Another floor got a surprise for sure. This made her turned in the opposite direction than the group. Summing up the force, she torn down the ceiling, walls and lifted the floor to block the way. It was her way of being sure that no one could surprise them on the way out.

This was how she handled the matter. Ways were blocked so they could have a possible smooth retreat once they got their goal. In Petra's mind, the others could take care of anything else that popped up, and she could continue doing her thing.

Rex would watch as one of them would turn the wall of the science centre into butter. Well now he was glad he had sent everyone home. If he hadn't that would have killed a lot of people. As the group moved into the centre Rex would have several alarms trip along their route sending several B1 and B2 battle droids at them along with some ant droids. They would see the group and open fire upon them. They were droids they wouldn't ask questions.

A saying he had once heard was "This is getting out of hand there are two of them now." And right now that couldn't be more the truth as someone jumped their speeder into a lab on the second floor. Up there the B1 and B2 ran to engage along with some Explosive buddies. Those buddies would try latching onto [member="Kingsley"] and [member="Scherezade deWinter"]. He sighed as he looked at the screen 60% finished. Once it hit 100% he would move to the training base to download more. They would never find out why he was there. But they would know he was there.
