- Heavy Firepower: Between all the missile launchers, megamasers, ion cannons and turbolasers, the Reprisal-Class is a heavy hitting weapons platform.
- Solid Defence: With multiple layers of shielding, a hull made of materials designed to absorb damage, the Reprisal Class is difficult target to assail.
- Thickened Armour Plating: To assist in absorbing the kinetic blows of missiles and other ordinance, the Reprisal Class is packed with a five meter thick plate of armour to alleviate most forms of damage for a time.
- Fighter Compliment: Most other vessels the size of the Reprisal carry a far larger compliment, compared to the meagre collection of fighters stored within its hangars.
- Kyber: The Reprisal Class makes extensive use of the weapons capability of kyber crystals. As a consequence of this, energy weapons batteries when destroyed incur far more damage.
The Reprisal Class as a concept was rather simple really. It simply was an effort undertaken by Prefsbelt Command to renovate their aging Resurgent-III Class Star Destroyers, and refit them with the purchased and licensed armaments of the New Imperial Order. The result of this work was the Reprisal Class. A battlecruiser capable of fulfilling a key new role the warlord fiefdom required. This role being that of a regional headquarters, capable of fulfilling the less than earnest agenda of Prefsbelt Commands higher ups.
The Reprisal Class itself is a vessel series able to engage most other vessels in ship to ship combat, with its extensive defences and weapons systems. Great effort has been invested on this end, with the Reprisal being coated in an additional five meters of reinforced composite armour plating. As well as an armament comprised of multiple sources, allowing for a versatility of bombardment on the part of the Reprisal.
This however does not mean the Reprisal is an invulnerable titan. The Star Destroyers fighter compliment size is left wanting meaning if left unsupported, the vessel is vulnerable to fighter bombers and other craft, no matter how many point defence guns have been stowed aboard. The Reprisal also suffers from a lack of maneuvering, meaning evasive actions for the vessel are a struggle at best. Nevertheless, the Reprisal is an imposing vessel whose presence can be felt on the battlefield.
