It was the mention of Quinn that only drew Sibylla's sense of quietness to the fore. The woman was a complicated piece, and truth be told, another matter that also tugged at Sibylla's heart.
It was, however, hearing Cora mention that Aurelian was not the first person who she knew had been stabbed by her. Before she could inquire for clarification, Aurelian had proceeded to show his audible disdain, followed by mentioning only in passing what occurred with Ace. Sibylla met his eyes of expression that thanked him for keeping it quiet and leaving it up to her.
Although the mention of Lysander in Aurelian's choice words left Sibylla with the slightest of grimaces, even as Lucy drew Sibylla's attention again -- now it was the gentlest of pats along her jaw, softening the bunching of Sibylla's eyebrows as she gave a soft smile back to the cherubed face infant.
But the Voice caught well how Makko had stated that people could not be responsible for the decisions of everyone they share blood with.
Which was true.
"No, we are not privy or responsible to others decisions.. but that does not mean we do not care or wish for them to choose better. Act better. Realize the mistakes that they have made and that a better path follows."
Much like with Ace. Would he think back and regret what occurred? What he'd done?
If so, then what? What would happen then? If she saw him again... what would Sibylla say? Do?
And while Lysander had only been a part of her life for a short while, there was still a part of her that wondered with guilt if she had something to do with the finality of his decision. It was silly to consider, and certainly, there was no confusing what both had done... and the fleeting wonder if meeting Lysander had been one of the reasons why Ace had fallen to the darker path as well.
The truth of it was that it irritated her. Frustrated her. How the Force affected them and had driven their choices. Had she not had the friendship she had with Cora, Sibylla might perhaps be of the same mind as Aurelian regarding Force Users as a whole. And truth be told, perhaps she wasn't that far off as well.
However....
Hazel's eyes swept over to Makko and Cora, and then, as a follow-up question, Sibylla asked quietly,
"Have you ever met anyone who had been able to be saved from the Dark Side of the Force?"
She didn't know specifically how to verbalize it, but it had been a question she had not been able to fully ask anywhere else. She had the conversation with Fenn, but he had been different. Tormented and twisted by his experiences as much as the trauma and PTSD he had felt.
But what of people like Lysander? Like Ace? Like Quinn?
Thinking back, Sibylla thought of how the conversation had ended with Ace back on the Trinity. The words she had said. Spilled. Half of them in frustration, anger, disappointment, and seeming finality.
But things were not so clear cut. Not so easy. Was that terrible of her to have a sliver of wonder. Of what could still be done? Lorn had told Ace he would be here for when Ace saw his errors.
But was there a path for him to?
Could she hope?
