The Last Stand

Couruscant: Space
Ashara was nervous. She knew that she very well may not come out of this fight alive, she knew that many of her brothers and sisters in arms were not coming back from this battle. As the Tra'galaar launched holding twelve other Mandalorians, the heavily armored assault transport made its way to the planet known as Coruscant. She had only ever been there once, and to see it the way it was now...It was frightening. One of the most powerful governments in the galaxy had been toppled in less than a week. Now large black spots adorned the surface of a planet that was almost as bright as a star. Her lekku twitched nervously. This would be the fight that liberated this planet. Hopefully. She did not want to die in vain.

Ground
The turrets and cannons could be heard all around the ship, the droid starships flying back and forth in a dance of death with the allied forces. Looking around her she noticed that some of these men and women were not Mandalorian. They all were wearing different kinds of armor. It made sense. The Tra'galaar was one of the strongest assault transports out there right now with its beskar plating. It was the safest thing to use to drop and receive troops. The ship rumbled as it broke through the atmosphere of the once golden planet. From the tactical display on the wall she could see the four other transports landing and dropping its troops. It was almost time to drop. "Alright guys, this is the drop! Good luck vods!" shouted the pilot as the bay doors opened. They were atop a small building, hardly any droids around. but there were to be some soon. With a sigh, she put her helmet on, activated her HUD and hopped out of the ship, her jet pack softening her landing. Her rifle at the ready she awaited her orders.

The sounds of war echoed throughout the megacity. This, however, was not the warfare relished by Mandalorians old and young. It was a war for survival. The Mandalorian fleet would provide as much support as needed, but the battle above the planet was raging. No guarantees there. The Tra'galaar had survived the anti-air guns bothering to target it. Beskar was the metal of choice, after all. And for good reason.

Verz Horak, Mandalorian Rally Master, jumped from the dropship onto the rooftop. Already the pilots had detected the besker'ad forces pf Omni sending troops to investigate. His HUD and buy'ce worked together to give him a view of his fellow Mando'ade. Thousands of Mandalorian troops would be landing soon, but Verz and the others assembled here were the proverbial tip of the spear. Fittingly, the Mandalore was here. Verz raised his Verpine, hand crafted in the Roche asteroids, lrft by his father. The scope synced to his HUD, and he used the zoom to scan the rooftops nearby.

He was ready. Ready to fight for the survival of the galaxy.

And if need be, meet his ancestors to protect that galaxy.

Reid was leading some of the younger padawans towards the safety shelter. The kids kept on pestering him about wanting to go fight but he just told them that they would get their chance when they were a Jedi Knight. They ran up to a fork in the road and he hid behind a wall. For some reason this road was empty. Way too empty. The droids had to know that this was the safety shelter.

He had just realized it was a trap when the first bomb landed. He threw himself forward to protect the kids. He hit hard on the ground with a piece of shrapnel stuck in his shoulder. He yelled at the kids to go and watched as they ran into the shelter. The kids were safe, but the shelter was now locked and he had nowhere to go for help. He was wounded in the shoulder. And he needed medical attention. The next bomb hit further away, but he was still impacted and flew back an couple of feet. "Help! Someone please! Anybody! Help!!!"

Coruscant - Reid

She used to call this planet home but that was months ago before it was taken from them. They had to fight just to leave the planet and narrowly escaped at that. She remembered waking up the children in in the middle of the night to try and make a run for it than. Just the thought of it made her shudder slightly and she didn't allow a lot of things to affect her. This though was much bigger than anything she had dealt with in the past and on top of that she was going into the heart of the battle. Normally her skills were better served in the medic bay not today though. No she needed to be right there in the thick of it. They would win today, they had to so much was at stake.

Kalia heard the Grandmasters message but her mind was really elsewhere right now. She hoped the children were doing alright she missed them already and John. She hoped he was being careful and staying safe up there in the sky which she dared not even look up to it. She didn't even want to think about something happening to him but it could. They both knew the danger they were in and had said their goodbyes to each other earlier this morning each promising to stay safe. Hoping to see the other again.

From where she was squatting for the moment she heard the cries for help through the sound of the bombs. Peaking her head around the corner she saw someone laying on the ground not dead because he was still moving. Glancing both ways she got up from her spot and ran over to where the man was yelling for help. She couldn't not help him. "Hey, we got to get you out of here," she yelled through the blasts sliding down to the ground too on her knees. "Are you ok to walk?" A quick glance only showed shoulder damage but there could be more. Kalia could heal him no issue there but it would be better if they could go somewhere with more cover.

Droid after droid came at Au'Rus, but the blades meet their challenges. The mariluka spun and turned. Her blades danced among the metal fields. With another spin she came back with her other hand and launched the force into a pack that followed her. Au'Rus paused for a moment. Heavy breathing consumed her body's attention. A blast from a larger droid buried itself into the earth beside her and she was thrown about. Crashing into the ground she rolled about. Her face scratched and cut she pulled her self up. But there was not time for a gingerly rise, a droid beside her landing reading a blast. Au'Rus flung her head up to meet the droid's cold stare. She threw her arm up and the force cast him off as well. Her arm the lowered rested on her knee and she pushed herself up. Not your brightest idea Au'Rus, but there is much work to do! The force suddenly shout out to her. A voice and the endangered flames of light-side pulled at her being.

"Help! Someone please! Anybody! Help!!!"

Au'Rus spun her head about and she could sense the call. She projected her thoughts towards the crying voice Do not fear brother, I am coming to you! HOLD ON! Au'Rus pointed her body towards the call and summoned what force energy she could muster left. Pushing off the earth she leapt in series of leaps and lungs across the battlefield, even using the heads of droids as stepping stones. She came to see a young man caught between some rubble, as more droids came to claim his life. Au'Rus was losing her strength but she held on to it and yelled out a powerful challenge "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!~" Landing between the boy and the droids her double-sided saber whipped about and cut at the bot's limbs. Their bodies degraded to their basic metal scrap components. She turned and addressed the fallen boy, "Quickly brother! Take my hand! We'll get out of here, I promise!" Au'Rus extended her hand out towards the young man. She could see he was hurt and she used the last of her force strength to summon a healing aura around her hand so that the force could flow through her and into him.

[OOC: oh LOLZ. Sorry Kalia, posted at the same time as you hope its ok xD, we both had the same idea]

Reid looked up at the two women trying to help him. He was grateful he was loosing blood quickly and he needed help. He could take the pain though. Ten years ago, when he was seven, he tripped and fell on a rock that injured him in the same way the shrapnel did. The kids were what he was worried about. He hoped that they were alright. It's almost as if the droids read his mind. One of the kids opened to door to the shelter and called out for him. As soon as this happened, a bomb dropped from the sky. "Noooo!" The shelter exploded with a bang. There was no way that anybody survived. Reid was openly weeping at this point. Even though those kids where annoying as hell, he loved them like they were his siblings.

Darren was fighting on Courscant. The city planet was burning to the ground every where he looked. a few droid here a Jedi with troops there. Darren this time was by himself. he wielded his white blades casting a bright glow around him His armor was also glowing blue in the visor slit and other slits in his armor. He looked like a ghost as he fought his way through the Droids. He took a few out when all of a sudden they stop and turned to a hooded blue figure and a girl.

He didn't have to use the force to tell that It was Onyx. With the force Darren lifted rubble from the ground around him and sent it flying at the the Droids controlled by Omni. he made sure that none of the rubble his the pair that was infront of him. He then unleashed a fury of blows taking out the droids one by one. the last droid was to far for him to reach with a lightsaber So he gathered an energy ball of electricity and unleashed it on the droid making it explode from the high amperage.

Darren walked over to Onyx and said in a smirk tone. "Is that the 4th time Ive saved your hide?"

The transports jet downwash kicked up a murk of ashen dust flecked with metallic shavings. Fleets of unguided, surface-to-air rockets streamed overhead, impacting across scorned building faces with dirty eruptions of sick, mottled oranges and pissy yellows. Seroth's nostrils felt burnt at the overwhelming stench of death and machine decay, wafting upwards from the lower levels where hundreds of thousands, if not millions of corpses were laying unclaimed. Their implacable foes hadn't been idle since their retreat from the Crown World, doubtlessly overworking to change the atmospheric properties into something more droid friendly. He recalled the ancient pict-plates of Coruscant as the Vong had conquered it; vast spires riven with guano-like coral growths, vast portions of the surface industrial landscape rooted with alloy-consuming flora. Omni had simply taken the opposite tack and if Coruscant had ever felt soulless with its impeccable displays of high-technology, the A.I. had completed the aura.

He took up guard off Darron's right flank, cloak billowing as stray shots plinked in from far off the shivering dorsal plating. A green sword cut around, flashing aimless parries as the Grandmaster completed a few last minute tidings to their fellow passengers. High over their grit-stained brows, noon skies were darkened to an almost pitch shade of bluish flint. High atmospheric winds curled great collections of alloy grit upon its gusting plumes, threading ill-lit veins of lightning. Distant explosions across the farther skylines strobed, casting odd and eerie shadows across both spire and avenue flooring. It would take a particular track of time, before the great city-planet healed the augured scars Omni had cast upon her surface and forgot what further wounds the Clockwork Rebellion had infected.

"Spast..." Seroth uttered under a passing squal of air.

The World Devastator loomed beneath, repulsor pylons backlit with pulsating exhaust. It held station a long click west, but its shuddering tractor beam projectors made the air ache. Long cannons hung slunk off oversized scaffolding, discharging fire at distant, unseen targets. The ground quaked bare moments later, dust shifting off debris at the unseemly vibration. Spiked gun-towers atop the repulsor pylons rotated to track overhead flights, weathering bomber salvos across its fore-bow, shuddering its thickened steel hide. More pertinent was its holding course, standing at the guard unerringly over this particular stretch of disembowled street work and architecture, rather than joining its counterparts in scouring these fleshy invaders from the surface.

"Darron!" He called over the wind howl. "Ben! The clock's running against us! Come on!"

Kalia watched in horror as a bomb dropped on the shelter. She hadn't seen how many children had been in there but she knew that there was at least one which was enough. She worked with Younglings and Padawans all the time and even had three of her own children. Seeing a bomb dropped on their head had struck a cord for her and she closed her eyes for a brief second trying to center herself. There was no time to get emotional as she could see the droids coming closer her. They needed to move now.

"Where should we take him? He's losing blood fast and there is no time to.." she didn't even get to finish her sentence as another bomb went off a couple of feet in front of them. They didn't have just a minute for her to heal him. Jumping up from the ground she turned to reached for the boy's other hand to try and help him to his feet so they could go. "If I must I'll carry you." If he didn't get up in three seconds he was getting picked up and carried. Being a healer her focus was on him more right now than the droids when it ought to be on both.

There really was nowhere good they could take him as this whole place was crawling with droids.. Five minutes of peace was all she was looking for but in this hell hole it was almost impossible to find. She didn't need all that time but would like it. Some old abandoned building might work. She wanted to check him out and make sure he WAS really alright. He was going to need all of his strength today. Sure she could heal him right now but not if she was going to do it properly. She wasn't about to just start pulling pieces out of his shoulder.

Jaxton Ravos

Mindwalker of the Outer Rim
Some planet somewhere

Running. Jaxton was running. Where to? To the largest Force Signature he could find. He had overslept his alarm on the way and was supposed to be deploying . . . Any minute now! Jaxton thought to himself as he checked his Chrono. After darting across, through, and over various troops, both Force and Non-Force Users, he managed to just barely get himself on the Transport headed to ground. As the Transport moved he inspected his rations, equipment, robes, and anything else he might have forgotten to leave. Once he had finished his self diagnosis he heard the voice of the Grandmaster

"Whoever is coming with me, do so now. If not, you will be sent to the next enemy target." The Grandmaster screamed, and Jaxton rushed out of the transport, taking a dive as the ship took off, and plummeted to the ground. He used the Force to slow down his descent, but still landed with a thud as his body continued to the earth after his feet made contact. He brought himself up, and then felt around for the presence of his comrads. He could barely feel the presence of the 'Adamant Company', but he could feel them. They were a strong distance away, but he could make up the time with his feet. They were all strong in enhancing their speed, but Jaxton had a much stronger base speed to start from. He climbed up to his feet and began running towards the group,

But after the first step he stopped. Some object had lodged itself in his back. Jaxton fell forward, then turned around slowly to see a Blade droid towering over him. The droid looked at him for a moment, before hitting him with some sort of scanner.

"Identification: Jedi Knight Jaxton Ravos. Proven Warrior. Skilled in Battle Meditation. Worthy of assimilation." The Blade spoke in a shrill, metallic voice, and then touched it's palm to Jaxton's chest. Jaxton could feel the nanites swarming into and around him, healing his wounds. Jaxton tried to fight off the droid, but then stopped. He could see it. He could see Omni's future. The path to evolution. Omni's reign was inevitable, it was destiny, it was what the Force dictated. Jaxton rose to his full height, and A Seraph droid came and motioned over to pick him up and take him where he knew he needed to go.

"No, I will go alone. They will be suspicious if I come to soon. They must only see me, and I will show them the way of Evolution."

Kai Xyn Dependus

The Sexiest Jedi Alive
Kai heard the familiar sound of the hatch doors unlocking, Kai's hilt was in his hand before he could even think to do so. Kai felt the rush of the wind as the doors opened, it was funny looking below as most wouldn't expect to come back. Kai however would make it a game until the end, how many droids could he defeat before seriously getting worried about the odds. Mother, I hope your looking down on your son today. Hopefully I will bring honor to the Dependus family today. He thought to himself as he watched the Grandmaster leap out of the ship. Pausing before allowing the young padawan to go first as she seemed to be ready, it wasn't until then that Kai took in a breath before leaping clear from the ship. With a snap hiss his silver blades sprang to life, he twisted them around deflect fire as he descended.

Landing in a roll, he detached half of his saber sending it spinning in front of him at leg length. Many droids would now find themselves on the ground, while deflecting with his left saber he lifted the fallen droids sending them into the group following him. However, Kai was at a impasse as warriors that were once normal citizens began to clamor his way and Kai couldn't end a life that didn't deserve it. So as the Sith forces began to join him Kai fell back attempting to regroup with @[member="Darron Wraith"] & @[member="Seroth Ur-Rahn"], it was then that Kai had truly began to see the true devastation Omni had caused to the galaxy. It filled him with a sense of a righteous fury, his form became crisper and he began to move with added purpose. Slashing and parrying became like a dance, these droids had no chance against a battlemaster however the sheer numbers of them would be the test.

Kai spotted the Grandmaster on a lower platform, kicking a droid back he pushed off sending him easily into a back flip. Landing on the railing, he switched to a mix of Makashi and Ataru for the balance and agility needed to stay where he was. It was then that Kai heard a familiar voice called out for help, he could already see a master and another of his kind rushing to the boy's aid. But would they be able to stop the droids coming at them and help the young jedi. Kai had no time to think, he gathered the force to give him clarity as he leaped off the railing. As he descended he could see the droids about to rush @[member="Kalia Vondiranach"], he slammed down in front of the droids pure kinetic energies shocking some but pushing them back as well. He offered them one look before screaming over the explosions. "Do whatever you have too. I'll keep them off of the group." It was then that he began to move quicker, slashing and slicing faster than before as with them being grouped up it painted a bigger target for them.

Auri Vesta

Captain of the Rimrunner
Coruscant - Space
Auri panicked and dropped her ship into a fishtailing swoop past two battling star cruisers, immediately followed by an upward spiral away from the planet. A quick glance at her sensors showed that nine of the twelve droid fighters following her had avoided collision with the dueling capital ships and were still hot on her tail. " Time for some fancy flying " She decided.

Lowering her shielding to thirty percent, she managed to get her autocannons and missle pods online. She whipped in, around, and between Republic squadrons and droid fighter attack formations, as the pursuing ships slowly started making ground on her. Just as she was about to get within range of the droid's short-range homing missles, she shut down her forward thusters and prepared for target practice. The fighters sped past her. " Too predictable " she grinned, firing her laser cannons all the while, smashing ships to bits. " If only there weren't so many " It did seem as if it was a hopeless battle, but if this monstrosity could'nt be defeated here, it could'nt be defeated anywhere in the galaxy.

Mon Calamari

Several reef sharks swam by, the waters surrounding New Coral City seemed calm at the surface. Beneath the waves, however, no one could hear the people of Mon Cala scream.

Mechanical tentacles ravaged the city as a very large avatar of the artificial intelligence known as Omni swept through the city like a siege engine, carving a path of destruction for the aquatic infantry droids who instantly began their work by enslaving civilians to the will of the Clockwork Rebellion. In the distance, barely appearing to any who looked as a shimmering monolith through the murky depths, a column of Planet Breakers made their way behind the troves of droids and machinery towards the city.

Thraishe ran through a group of droids, twirling his lightsaber pike and cutting down multiple droids. He had to do something about this. He looked to the World Devastator then back to the line of Sith, civilians, Jedi, Republic and Imperials as they fell dead by this innumerable amount of droids. But it wasn't only on the ground, fighting was also in the sky. A small starfighter was blown apart, debris crushing the droids and humans alike. He saw a large droid come at him as he raised his pike in defense.

"Holy-" Thraishe didn't finish his sentence as he was knocked away by this hulking droid.

He turned his comm link channel to open and called for help as the massive droid pounded him.

"Help me! Someone!" Thraishe yelled.

The kiss was unexpected but fully reciprocated. Through wind-blown blonde hair, Ashin watched Kaine and his droids deploy. As she broke away, she touched Spencer's arm -- a simple contact, all that was necessary. She stepped away from her lover and focused.

Ashin was not one for bluster. Kaine spent his time talking, repositioning -- Ashin's attention was entirely on the distances and angles of the coming fight. Alone, Kaine couldn't stand against her, but with those droids on his side at that range, the odds had shifted in an improbable direction. She moved farther away from Spencer, drawing their attention and giving her own little Darth Vader the chance to engage the superweapon.

The Force whispered, and she threw up her arm across her face just as the Seraphs blasted her. Her nigh-indestructible armor superheated almost at once, burning her past the point of pain and well into the realm of damage. The air rippled around her in fervent heat; blast efflux wrapped around her upraised gauntlet to sear the corners of her face and neck. She shunted the energy away with Velok's finest teachings, and metal deck plating warped beneath her boots.

And then, because her attention had been on the physical and not the mental, the full weight of Kaine's Force Horror descended on her mind. He had, apparently, learned much during his time with Omni, and she had never been terribly strong against this sort of mental attack. The more insidious things, certainly -- she could repel those with ease. But something as brute-force as this? It hit her hard, despite the difference between their levels of strength. She grunted as psychic assault, raw imposed emotion and horrific images flashed before her eyes.

But she did what she had done when Radon Mont used the same power on her, not that long ago. She latched onto the Force Horror with Force Drain and sighed as the burden lessened.

The heat trapped in his armor was significant; lacquer bubbled under the impacts of the beams. She gathered that heat and sent it back in a wave hot enough to burst electronic components and boil flesh.

Onyx laughed. "I don't count Korriban as saving me but whatever floats with you."

Onyx then looked down at Kiyala. "This is Kiyala, I am trying to get her off world." Onyx moved past Darren, he was now in the middle of the ruined road. He pointed to a tower that was about a mile away. "I am trying to get us there so that my ship can pick us up." Onyx turned back to the two of them. "Mind giving us a hand?"

Reid couldnt believe it. All that he had known was wrong. He had no living members of his family left and he had no friends. He had no purpose. He had no city anymore either. He decided to forget it. Forget the killing. Forget the loneliness. All he needed now was to survive. Reid stood up ignoring the pain in his arm. He looked at the woman who was just talking to him. "Take me to a place where I can get help." He then looked at the other woman. "And you go check the shelter to see if there are anymore children." He didn't care if he sounded rude. This was war. And this was the only way to communicate efficiently.

Kaine cut off his Force Horror assault to jump back as the wave of heat exploded from the Empress, which all but rendered the three attacking her dead, but the other three were far enough away to not be destroyed. With the loss of those droids, he had less backup to work with as of this moment, but he would make due and keep up with his plan of attack. He knew he couldn't defeat her out right, but if he kept her at bay, staying out of range and hammering her with his force abilities, he could have a chance to strike a lucky hit. Kaine decided to attack with one of his weaker abilities, Force Slow, as well as hurl quick bolts of lightning towards the Empress, just trying to keep her away from him while he thought of a better plan of action to take. The Seraphs would remain idle, waiting for another command to attack, but only at the right time. Timing was everything in this instance, and the nature of where the city was situated gave Kaine a couple of ideas, but he'd have to wait to execute them.

The touch was enough, that’s all she needed to be reassured. Kaine descended upon them and Spencer quickly took this moment as a chance to move towards the super weapon. She had to take it down and return to the Empress to help her – do whatever she wanted to either destroy or save Kaine Zambrano. Spencer ran towards the edges of the city, even though she couldn't hear the Mon Cala crying out during their death. Spencer could feel the connections of the force disappearing as they passed, she cringed every moment.

It was sudden, but Spencer soon got an eyeful of what this Omni could do. The infection ran rampant and Spencer searched for a way towards the super weapon. Droids that were connected with the intelligence soon met their hopeful demise with a crack of the Force Lightening. Her blade ignited with a dull crimson color. Looking back, Spencer caught a glimpse of the fight between Ashin and Kaine. It took so much to not try and run towards her and fight alongside the Empress. Cursing, she continued to move towards the water’s edge trying to find a way to the super weapon.

The Force Slow was a unique move, and it worked just fine -- for both Kaine and Ashin. She was, essentially, a Sith tank in armor like this. Rather than resist it, she ignited her grandfather's sky-blue lightsabre. The blade dipped through Shii-Cho forms, intercepting bolt after bolt with deliberate, simple movements. Each bolt grounded itself on her lightsabre.

She bit back a touch of Dun Moch -- it never worked against Omni's people -- and stretched out her free hand. A storm of lightning arced out at the remaining three droids.
