The Last Stand

Once @[member="Dark Onyx"] finished his statement, a blur seemingly fell from the sky and crashed into a burnt up husk of a speeder. The impact tossed up some gray dust into the air, creating a cloud that would have obscured the vision of Onyx, @[member="Darren Shaw"], and @[member="Kiyala Demont"]. A couple Seraphim droids descended from the air toward the trio - repulsorlifts on their wings holding them up. Their eyes began to glow brightly and were fixated on the small group.

As the dust cloud began to subside, the shadow of a large man could be seen. Then, a crimson lightsaber ignited and the cloud dissipated in an instant. Darth Apparatus - in the attire he donned since revealing his allegiance to Omni - faced Onyx. Darren might have recognized the corrupted presence in the dark side - tainted forever and permanently by Omni.

If Onyx wished to reach the tower, this Sith Lord stood in his way and blocked his path.

Onyx tumbled backwards only to face the now corrupted @[member="Darth Apparatus"]. He was in awe at his presence. The sith lord was never intimidating. The only thing that scared Onyx was his sudden revelation of Omni's loyalty during the Galactic Response meeting at Kuat. Another reason he was happy he didn't attend.

He sighed and pushed, @[member="Kiyala Demont"] behind him and @[member="Darren Shaw"]. His ignited both his lightsabers and turned to Darren. "We have to get to the tower. No matter what cost."

Onyx then launched himself forward towards the opponent. He knew his strength was no where near his. But he knew if Darren helped they would have a chance to at least drive him back.

Darron called for the last of them to join him, and he stood by his side, on the other side of Seroth. The wind whipped in his face, the noises of the battle echoed in his ears, he was all to familiar with situations like this. Looking around, he took in all of the scenes, especially the World Destroyer. Now that..... that was something he had never seen before. Gazing upon it with a mixture of fascination and the desire to destroy it, he could not help but gawk at the spectacle, how were they going to destroy something like that? Well, there was no turning back now, not that he would. He could feel the presence of so many Jedi and Republic soldiers who were behind him and already on the battlefield. This was what being a Jedi was about, these were the moments he had been breed for, to save the Galaxy one giant droid super weapon at a time.

He heard his name and his attention was snapped, looking over at Seroth, it was time. The transport landed, the doors flew open, and the battle was upon them. Leaping out behind Darron, his lightsaber sprung to life, just in time to block a blaster shot. They were all skilled, there was no question, but if they stayed out in the open for too long they would be killed. It was not a question, it would happen, they were going to have to act faster than they ever had. His mind drifted to Jaxton, what was he thinking? He was always late, to everything, the boy would be late to his own funeral. It may come sooner than they had all anticipated as he had missed the transport, jumping like a fool, and now Ben could not pinpoint his location. He was gone, on his own, to fight or to die. Ben whispered a silent good luck to him as they jumped into battle.

The young Padawan jumped into battle without thinking, Ben's eyes sprang open, what was she thinking? She could not possibly think she could do this battle all on her own. She fought valiantly, but for how long? She was only a Padawan and even Ben himself was not sure that two Masters and a Knight would be able to survive in the middle of the battlefield. Whoever was training these brash Jedi needed a stern talking to, they did not think, they only acted. Acting upon impulse was not what Jedi were about, no matter how noble or brave their impulse was, a dead Jedi was a useless Jedi.

Explosions, death, screaming, crying, they all flooded his mind for a second before he closed them off. He had a goal, and the goal was crucial to winning this war, he could not be distracted no matter how much he wanted to save everyone. Death was certain here, he could not stop it all, he could only do his part to help bring Omni down. "So how do we go about destroying this thing?" Ben shouted over the sounds of battle as he himself deflected and destroyed any droid foolish enough to get near him.

Reyven Samoth

Grand Lord of the Tribe
@[member="Thraishe Krine"]

He was baffled as the man ran off blindly, it seemed, into the mass of droids, only to be knocked aside by one particularly large one. He sighed and let loose with a torrent of lightning on the large machine, burning up smaller droids in the path of the current as he overloaded the circuitry of the behemoth and keep it from killing the man. Hopefully he would learn from this, because Reyven would not be saving him a second time.

His sabers gripped in his hands firmly once more, he began slashing his way through the droids again, making sure not to be hit by their attacks. He'd heard quite the depressing things regarding wounds. Would be better to lose the injured limb. There were several unique ones moving through the swarm. Clearly not part of the pack mentality. More of a problem, it would seem. One that seemed to be heading in his direction. That just wouldn't do.

Taking the fried hulk with the Force, he swung his arms, blades lighting up the path of his swing as he sent it flying towards the Blade that was coming at him. He had no intent to hit, unless he was incredibly lucky. No, this was a distraction. He pushed the Force into his body, increasing his movement as he ran through, aiming to simply ignore the masses as much as possible while getting on board the hovering monstrosity.

Coruscant: Sector 8

Selena rode down between the skyscrapers through on an attack speeder with a group of others. They surged down towards a world devastator at great speed. Seraphs and Blades were all around swarming the attack group. A lot of what was going to their advantage was just that they were blitzing past the threats. The deeper they dove in the more enemies appeared but they just kept on flying down. Blaster firing just clearing the path directly in front of them. Those that were Jedi used their lightsaber for defense. Behind them was another wave of speeders as well. Behind that even more. Different sectors were using different strategies. It likely would not stress the mind of the AI, but whatever could help would be good. Her sector was very much just driving the nail in. Selena had volunteered for the effort easily, death was not a concern for her at all. Lending herself to the war effort was enough alone.

For the most part, she did not move the speeder much but the occasional droid forced her to swerve. The problem was when many of them were before. The Force guided her well, but then it happened. A Seraph adjusted properly sacrificed its body by crashing right into the front of her speeder.

The moment was eerily familiar to when she was trying to escape the planet. Crashing was something of a gift at this point as she dove her speeder through a window pain in a walkway. With a quick move she jumped from the speeder and rolled upon her own impact. The speeder crashed into the ground and burst into a violent explosion. That was her queue really. Naturally coming out of the roll she ran full speed down the walkway into the building. Speed speed speed. It was her gift at this moment. If she moved any faster her limbs would likely fall off. The droids were mostly outside though, so obstacles were few.

She found a turbolift shaft and cut open the wall quickly. She looked down it and saw a clear path down. It was possible to cover a lot of distance by dropped down, but unlike other Jedi she had no gift for telekinetic so she could not slow herself down near the end. In this regard, she was like any other force user. However, given the construction of the turbolift, she had plenty to grab onto. Without much thought she began jumping from beam to beam. It was not the quickest method ever but she needed to track her way down to the level with the World Devastator quickly.

"Thank you sir," Thraishe yelled back.

Thraishe continued slashing down the seemingly endless amount of droids, but decided to head back to where this Prophet was.

"Sir! I think I have a plan," Thraishe shouted over the blaster fire and explosions, "If we work together, we can bum rush the damned thing."

He pulled out his heavy blaster pistol and starting shooting at the droids.

She turned as she heard a voice and nodded. They wouldn't have to move him now seeing as she was a healer. "I'm a healer, you'll be fine," she mumbled as she gently grabbed a hold of his arm and began gingerly picking out some of the pieces that were stuck in it. Kalia was sure it hurt but he was a big boy and she was sure that he could handle it. He had no choice in the matter anyway. Gathering up the Force she placed her hand over his shoulder. Her hand glowed a faint blue as his shoulder began to repair itself. "What do you mean more children? What are children still doing on this planet?" If Reid was correct this was madness. A war was no place for a child it was far too dangerous and even the most skilled warriors were not going to get out of this alive what chance did a child have?

A part of her wished to stay and help the man whom had helped them. Her motherly instinct though told her that the children were more important and that he would be fine still she couldn't just abandoned a fellow Jedi. "We should stay here help him and than go get those children. They are somewhere safe, right?" The worry and concern was plain to see as she turned to Reid her light saber in her palm. There was way too much talking going on.

@[member="Reid Anaxoid"]@[member="Kai Xyn Dependus"]@Au'Rus Rhaeyns

Reid was in a lot of pain. He needed healing and this lady was a healer. However, the most important thing was the kids in the shelter.
"There is another bomb shelter a few blocks down. There are at least five kids there and seeing what happened to the kids at this one, I'm worried about the kids there. How long will it take to heal me?"
If she could heal him fairly quick then Reid could go check on the kids himself, but if it would take a while to heal him then the kids are the top priority. He barley noticed the jedi protecting them but he did look familiar.

Coruscant - Surface
Auri took stock of her equipment, with a grand total of three frag grenades, a high caliber marksmen rifle, a small arms blaster pistol that fit snuggly in her holster, and Echani Desh armor plating that could sustain several blaster bolts. It would have to do. She stood at the bottom of her ships landing ramp, accessing the carnage before her. The massive city world had been all but stripped of its top layer of buildings, leaving the true surface of the planet visible for the first time in centuries. Droid fighters buzzed around everywhere, raining bombs down on civilians. Battered and beaten groups of sith and jedi did their best to hold their ground. One group in particular caught her eye.

Three lightsaber wielding individuals, who she presumed to be sith, stood battling a tall, and ominous figure. " One of Omni's goons " She thought. In quick fluid motions, the Sith worked as one, blocking, deflecting, and attacking together. Their opponent however, was unphased, not giving them an inch of breathing room in between strikes. Auri scoped in with her rifle. " If those Sith can keep him occupied, I can put a big dent in his head " Auri reasoned. Smiling, she pulled the trigger.

Jaxton Ravos

Mindwalker of the Outer Rim
Jaxton ran as quickly as he could, the nanites flowing though his body making him strides stronger, his thoughts quicker. He never stopped or tired as the nanites and the Force gave him the energy he needed to sustain himself. Closer and closer he came to the three members of Adamant company. He could feel their Force Signatures, both the powers and subtleties of Master Wraith, Watts, and Knight Ur-Rahn. All of them were strong people, all of them were good people. Jaxton needed to save them. They needed to see the truth. He couldn't bare to see them die when they could be assimilated, evolved. After about ten minutes of a nearly effortless sprint, he could see the Grandmaster's large frame, counterbalanced by Seroth's small height, along with Master Watts hanging somewhere in the middle.

"Finally found you guys. I . . ." Jaxton paused and thought about how he wanted to talk to the company. "I think we're doing this the wrong way. If we win this battle there will be many more to come between the Republic and the Empire. We have an opportunity to bring true peace to the galaxy. Why fight today to bring suffering tomorrow when we can end it all?"

MON CALAMAR
@[member="Ashin Varanin"]

One of the droids was caught in the lightning storm, frying its circuits and sending it careening down into the depths below, the other two moved out of range of the lightning. They then began to use their beam weaponry on the platform beneath the Empress' feet, using the beams to heat up the metal in an attempt to melt the floor beneath Ashin. Kaine continued to keep up his Force Slow assault, trying to make sure that Ashin would be in that spot when or if it fell into the ocean below. To keep out of range of attack from Ashin, the droids would keep moving from spot to spot, but if timed correctly they could be taken out at the spot they landed at.

Familiar pin-pricks of cold pressure dug in across his nape. Seroth wondered if it wasn't a simple reaction of his steadied nerves, standing atop the vibrating dorsal plating, a dimpled industrial hellscape wafting with cooked ozone burning up from the Devastator's humming flight pylons. To his side, Master's Wraith and Watts busied themselves with brief counsel, shifting between fast exchanges of tactical debate, fixing to build a quick plan of work. The boy fought against instinctively ducking under an overhead pitch of squealing droid fighters, darkly matted scav-hawks wrapped in lubricated cabling. They banked with insectoid precision, hurtling onward through Coruscant's shattered metropolis speeder canyons. The pin-prick egged again, this time pulsating across the film of his brain. The background tapestry of wounded Force energy was... warning? Or at least trying to scream caution. Seroth turned a fast, snapping look over his shoulder, watching a familiar figure work his way across the uneven plating.

"...Jax!?" Seroth called out.

The Zeltron giant approached, the boy quickly pacing over to slap a welcoming hand across his muscular shoulder. Then, the pin-prick grew to an inordinate jab of painful alarm, forcing Seroth to stagger back by a cautious pace. A chemical stink burned into his nose as the Devastator's underside tractor-beam arrays tore into the surface plane, dismantling and devouring raw materials for its hyper-production facilities. The mind-jab didn't relent. The youth snapped his gaze up to Jax, mouthing a word of alarm, when he saw the strange, deeply serene glaze that stuck like glossy varnish to the Zeltron's eyes. "...Jax?"

"Finally found you guys. I..." The man stammered, working up his nerve. "I think we're doing this the wrong way. If we win this battle there will be many more to come between the Republic and the Empire. We have an opportunity to bring true peace to the galaxy. Why fight today to bring suffering tomorrow when we can end it all?"

...Seroth glanced around the man's hulking frame, noting his initial direction of approach. The boxy framing of the World Devastator didn't allow for any gradated climbing, though the Knight didn't rule out Jax simply clambering aboard from some adjacent apartment husk. Yet, last word from Kuati orbit painted Knight Ravos of being on route to lend his assistance in defense of Corellia. Grey eyes narrowed, with Seroth folding his arms and leaning back against the shuddering wall of a tall, rotating cannon-tower. The Zeltron, by character, was rarely ever given for proposing alternatives in the face of combat. And the subtle emanations of some undirected threat, echoing from the Force across his instincts... Never mind the inconsistency of Jax's sudden appearance...

"It's..." Seroth began. "It's a fine thing, Jax, having you with us now. But... I'm not sure what direction this is you're taking. ...Or why you're taking it all. Omni's put millions to the pyre..."

Darren smiled at Onyx's comment about Korraban. He was about to say something himself when a explosion detonated just behind him. he faced it to see a person he once knew. Darth Apparatus. The man had helped him when they fought the beast that carried the stupid Shockpod. He shook his head. His white lightsabers glowed around him as he watched Onyx as his friend charged the Sith master.

He knew that the Darth would stop all if not almost all of Onyx's attacks. The only way that both of them could fight the man at the same time was to attack from all sides. That meant mentally too. Darren opened himself to the force to feel everything around him when he felt someone in a ship somewere off in the distance. Right now he didnt care. He focused his power at the Sith. Stabbing at the man mentally If he could find an opening to attack with his blade he would but for now he let Onyx keep the Sith at bay.

Onyx wasn't letting up. Each strike was more aggressive. Each strike was meant to kill.

He suddenly felt someone else. Someone else was helping them. He ignored it. He went back to focus all his hate and anger of the war in his strikes.

With just one hand, Darth Apparatus brought his lightsaber up to protect himself from @[member="Dark Onyx"]'s charge. The subsequent strikes by Onyx were easily met and the Darth seemed to show no signs of being taxed. Darth Apparatus used a single lightsaber to swiftly parry the dual lightsabers of Onyx with little apparent effort. As @[member="Darren Shaw"] attempted to attack the Darth's mind through some method, there would have been no response in the Force. Absolutely nothing could have been gauged by such methods - no thoughts or struggle or resistance.

Then, Darth Apparatus his left hand forward for a moment, leaning back as well. At that instant, a powerful telekinetic force struck out against Onyx - much like a quick punch. The power behind it would have been enough to toss a humanoid body several meters back - and the Darth just summoned such an attack with ease. Just a moment after, a blaster bolt zoomed past Darth Apparatus - just in front of his head, where had been in the path of the bolt just a moment before.

Meanwhile, the two Seraphim droids that arrived with Darth Apparatus fired their eye-lasers, which were charging up just a moment ago. They were each aimed at Darren and @[member="Auri Vesta"], who gained more attention than @[member="Kiyala Demont"] for her attack.

Coruscant

Atop a World Devastator

Deep in Vaapad, the GrandMaster of the Jedi Order was a force of battle. For every Seraph droid that approached him, only pieces of smoke and metal where left on the ground below his feet. The battlefield on which they were engaging was an actual war machine, and with each step it took, it's vibrations changed the complexion of the battle. Where temporary bastions of cover once stood, there was now only bare durasteel. Mountains of metal and wire were forming and disappearing as the weight of Omni's forces were being destroyed by the Jedi that had made their way on top of the World Devastator. Though the battle was intense, the Jedi Master had a sneaking suspicion that this would be a long day. If the reports that had been coming in just as they had left the Teferi were true, then this was just the tip of the iceberg in the final battle. It seemed the intelligence was sending these terraforming monstrosities to all galactic hubs in a bid to snap the spine of the resistance.

That won't happen, he thought.

Another flurry of blaster shots were deflect back to their senders as the rest of Adamant Company formed around him, although Jaxton's tardiness was noticed.

"Hey, Jaxton lets try not to be late to everything. It's one thing to be late to a Council meeting, the biggest battle this galaxy has ever faced...not a good idea!"

Another blaster bolt was reflected, and the pair of sky blue blades once more cut through another Seraphim as it foolishly attacked him. A quick pull of the Force, made a mound of the droids remnants form up and give them some semblance of cover. With their speed aided, the foursome made their way to the impromptu cover.

"Ok guys, here's whats going to happen. Ben and Seroth will try and take out the power core to this thing. Me and Jaxton will take out the driver. Lets get to work!"

After he spoke, the leader of the Jedi once more sprung into action with the Zeltron at his side.

Coruscant-In Orbit
Roxy had snuck onto a republic frigate going to Coruscant to help with the Omni Conflict, in which they were taking heavy fire in orbit as as soon as they came out of hyperspace. They were loading troops onto gunships for planetary landing and Roxy had to get to one, fast. She hopped in an empty ammo container and was loaded onto the gunship.

"Status of hull is 97% and we are taking heavy fire from approaching fighters," One of the troopers said.

Sparks flew and she heard screams of soldiers and people shouting orders to each other. The ship crashed and Roxy blacked out. A short time later Roxy came to and climbed out of the box, seeing all the troops bodies. She limped out of the crashed gunship and looked around to get her bearings. She heard the sounds of fighting in the distance and readied her beam rifle. Roxy made it to the "frontline" and saw @[member="Auri Vesta"]

"Hey! Do you need any help?" Roxy asked the woman.

Auri Vesta

Captain of the Rimrunner
Just as Auri was about to take her second shot at @[member="Darth Apparatus"] she noticed a Seraphim droid heading for her, it's central eye glowing bright crimson. She rolled to her left, away from her ship, sensing trouble. A beam of light struck inches away from her foot, singeing the ends of her hair and sending her toppling to the ground face first. Quickly, Auri spun around onto her back while simultaneously drawing her blaster pistol. " If that droids eye is really a laser cannon, where are its photoreceptors? " Auri wondered. " Well, thats enough thinking for today " Discharging her pistol into the droids chest.

" Whata piece of scrap metal " Auri said, unimpressed. Omni was going to have to do better than that to take her down. Grabbing her dropped marksmen rifle, she returned her attention to the Darth. Now that her element of suprise was gone she would have to compensate with multiple shots. She dropped into a crouch and steadied her aim, but stopped. It would be better to keep the droids off of the sith's backs and let them do their work than intervening. It was three against one, they had to beat this guy, and Auri could always high tail it out of there if things turned for the worst.

Auri, dropping several droids flying toward the fight, heard a noise behind her. She spun around and leveled her blaster to see a young woman in heavy armor. " A soldier " Auri decided " definately not a tourist " eyeing her large beam rifle. @[member="Roxanna XelKol"] " If your looking for cheap entertainment you've come to the right place " Auri said loud enough for the woman to hear her " Drinks are on me if we win "

Roxy shot at various droids with her beam rifle, disintegrating them. She noticed @[member="Auri Vesta"] shooting at something in particular and she eyed the general area where she saw lightsabers slashing at each other. She wondered what was happening but just shrugged it off.

"Whats happening?" Roxy said to the woman.

She continued shooting at the endless amount of droids.

Auri answered with one word. Sith. " I'm covering their backs while they fight one of Omni's freaks 'a nature " She explained. " Just focus on the droids ".

Auri drew out a frag grenade from her belt and casually slung it at a group of droids. " These droids arn't much to look at but there sure are enough of 'em to catch your eye huh? " Suddenly, in a rare moment of silence, Auri heard a voice calling out. " Must get to the tower. " the voice said, fading on the wind. " Where did that come from? " Auri wondered, counfused. " We have to clear a path to that tower " She pointed to a tower she had just now noticed. What it's purpose was she did not know, but she tended to follow her instincts. " Follow me " She said and didn't look back.
