The Last Stand

Darren saw the blast that was sent in the direction of Onyx. he could do nothing to help him, because if he did, his own power would be depleed from slowing Onyx down. Instead he used his lighsaber to block the shot that came from the droids eyes. the power of the blast was unexpected and made Darren stumble alittle. Darren used the rubble around him as weapons to launch at the droid crushing it.

he faced the Darth to know that his atacks were not doing anything. Not even felt by him. Darren cursed to himself as he ha staed back and ot Onyx in trouble because of that. He growled as Darren put away his lightsabers and pulled out his White Sith sword. The blade's weight felt good in his hands. It has been a while since he had used the blade, but none the less he would use it to get rid of the turned dark lord.

Darren simple walked forward to the Sith master. If he didnt do anything Darren would be forced to use hand to hand combat. Right now this was not a fight of power, but a fight of wits. Who would be the one to overcome the other.

Jaxton seemed off, but Ben did not have time to worry about him, he was too busy fighting and trying to figure out what the heck they were going to do. When Darron told him they were going to be taking out the power core, Ben nodded, and instantly racked his thoughts on the schematics on the World Destroyer. The place they were going was in the heart of the giant droid, and it was not going to be fun getting there, they would face plenty of resistance and they were going to have to be on their toes constantly. One little prick from the droids would turn them into one of the mindless drones. Glancing at Seroth, he nodded his head, hoping the Knight was ready for this situation they had gotten themselves into.

"Seroth, watch my back!" Ben shouted as he relieved himself from the battle. Standing atop the droid, Ben plunged his lightsaber into the metal, and he began to cut a giant square for the two of them to jump into. He was not sure where they would be landing, but he knew they would have to fight through at least three stories to get to the level the power core was on. It took him a few moments, but eventually, a square that was big enough for one person to jump down at a time appeared. Nodding to himself, he looked up at Seroth, "Let's go!" Jumping in, he fell much further than he expected, and landed hard on the ground.

Standing up, he almost cursed, he had landed in the middle of a large number of droids and Seroth would be doing the same shortly. "See you on the other side, Seroth." Ben muttered before the droids, who were surprised at first by the sudden emergence of two Jedi, gathered their wits and began to attack. The battle was on.

He stopped and looked at the man. He could prove useful, hopefully, on the inside, so why not? "Get a speeder, find one and get it in working order so we can get to that thing quickly. Go now." He spun gracefully on one foot, letting his blades fly out from his hands, they themselves beginning a tight rotation as they were guided through the mobs of droids starting to surround him, cutting swaths through them.

Letting them continue on their path, he swelled energies within him for a moment before allowing them to explode outward, denting the constructed 'ground' beneath him and sending the droids back with scattered remains of their fallen comrades. It gave him some much-needed breathing room to plan in as he reached out, drawing the saber hilts back to his hands.

Kiyala had begone to think that things were looking up when @[member="Darren Shaw"] & @[member="Dark Onyx"] seemed to team up. Everyone seemed to want to help her get off world, she was amazed at their bravery and dedication as they crossed the battle field. She offering limited help but slowly getting a better grasp of deflection; which impart stemmed from her prophetic talents. She had managed to stay behind Onyx but that didn't mean she was fully safe with all the massive amounts of droids so she began countering what she could but remaining safe still. She knew had she attempted this alone not even her prophetic talents wouldn't have saved her today. But the force will always sustain you even when your too weak to know it She honestly couldn't explain it but she lately has been hearing voices and it seemed to have started when she fully awakened herself to the force.

But as always things turned for the worst with the sudden and somewhat stunning entrance of one of Omni's agents that she could feel was vastly powerful within the dark side. She didn't dare try to look fully into his darkness, she didn't know if she was strong enough to come back. Three Seraph droids whirled around them and Kiyala readied her blade not knowing what to expect from them at all. But more people came and provided aid which was good the more people joined in the more likely their chances had to seem. She felt her vision began to weaken which usually happened before a vision but this time it became different. She literally couldn't see but was seeing the future in a way where she could walk confidently ducking into a small area which only someone her size could fit in the wreckage. The vision fully took as soon as she was in relative safety, she was seeing Onyx future currently but it always seemed to fade away. She cursed herself as she began to feel Shaw, but again it feel through.

Then it hit her, @[member="Darth Apparatus"]'s Omni presence made her visions fade. So every time they clashed she would lose track of them; how curious of a thing is that. Both Knights were fighting with their all for their own survival and hers, their moves so quick that they were dizzying for her to perceive. And it wasn't until later in their confrontation that she finally did it, thinking on her vision connection it was lacking because of interaction with the Omni agent. She sung one of the first spells she was taught, as her magics spread upon her allies they would soon realize that now they are not only invisible to perception but in the force as well. She couldn't offer much but she would try anything that would help her friends however now she was already running on her reserves of strength with that waning.

Her enemy's tactic clicked in her mind, and her eyes went wide. The clever ploy might see her fall a painful distance into the ocean.

Instead of attempting to break free of the trap's limitations, she focused on Kaine's Force Slow -- and amplified it, drawing heavily on his own strength as well as adding some of her own. As the floor fell out from beneath her, she remained floating in midair, armored feet gently pointed.

She hovered there for a long moment, rising gently away from the hole. Air crushed in around her, a reverse shockwave that molded itself to her body as it gathered strength. Force Repulse, it seemed -- but then she filled her lungs and roared, a Force Bellow that took the full might of the Repulsion and directed it into a wide shockwave. Railings tore away, and, thirty metres away or more, the entire World Devastator rocked, its armor plating dented. But the superweapon was not the target.

The targets of the broad shockwave, well, were obvious.

Thraishe ran off in search of a speeder. A short way away, he found a two-seater swoop bike that was barely in working condition, but he managed to get it started and drove it back to @[member="Reyven Samoth"] .

"I found one! And it works!" Thraishe shouted.

He shot at some droids as he waited for the Prophet to get on.

Onyx was thrown back from the sheer power of the Dark Lord. Omni had only strengthened his powers. Onyx could feel something. He didn't know what it was but it was coming from Kiyala. He ignored it.

He refocused on the Darth, who was several feet away after he last attack. He decided to change tactics. Putting one blade away, his left arm ignited in force lightning. He launched himself forward. Hitting with his lightsaber then launching savage punches at him.

As the fellow knight was being healed by the master Jedi. Au'Rus was out of the rubble they were hiding from using her double-sided saber to deflect shots and beams from the droids that were amassing to their position. The sudden hiss of missiles erupted from another corner and were rapidly approaching her area. Au'Rus stretched out a hand and called upon the force to drag the debris around the area. Small pieces of rubble, scrap metal and other debris clung together and with a flick of her wrist were launched into the on coming missile fire. The resulting explosion tossed Au'Rus across the destroyed street and to crash into a wall. Her back smacked against the concrete and her head snapped back. Au'Rus fell from the wall holding onto her head. Shaking it off she stood again. Her vision blurred for a moment, the flames began obscure and unrecognisable. She had to centre herself. She took some gingerly steps forward and with each step her vision became more clear. Moving about the carnage, taking what droids she could with her she entered into the rubble hide-out.

"What's our situation, Master?" Au'Rus spoke as if she was some military commander, "I can hold them off as long as you need! But, we must make ground and carry the fight elsewhere."

"I'm with you," Roxy followed her, shooting along the way.

Suddenly, Roxy felt pain and fell back, hitting her head. She was only barely conscious and she noticed she was bleeding from the head, with a blaster burn on her right shoulder. She couldn't move. Pain shot through her.

Jaxton Ravos

Mindwalker of the Outer Rim
Jaxton saw Seroth come closer to him, then strangely he backed off. As if he was worried about something.

"It's... It's a fine thing, Jax, having you with us now. But... I'm not sure what direction this is you're taking. ...Or why you're taking it all. Omni's put millions to the pyre..." Seroth said in a very cautious manner. He could tell the man was a little off edge, and Jaxton began to worry. He disagreed with Seroth's reasoning, the Sith had killed trillions over the last tens of thousands of years, and the Sith would always be fighting for control. They would never stop. Omni however, after getting through all that refuse to assimilate, will never have to kill anyone again. Murder, chaos, destruction, will all simply cease to be. But before Jaxton could inform Seroth of his misgivings, he received orders from the Grandmaster. He would be going with the Grandmaster and Seroth would be going with Ben. It seemed he would have to inform her later.

"Let us go then." Jaxton said and followed the Grandmaster @[member="Darron Wraith"]. He could harm a few droids. Omni would see the use sacrificing a few droids for the assimilation of the the Jedi Grandmaster. All Jaxton had to do was get one touch, and that would suffice. He followed the Grandmaster and made sure to stay close, watching for an exposed piece of skin, and waiting for a moment to strike.

Kaine cut off his assault and moved to try and run out of the way, but the delay of cutting off his attack cost him dearly. The shockwave of force didn't hit him head on, but the outer edges of it did strike him, sending him spiraling towards the edge of the platform. Kaine struck the side of the platform, yelping in pain as he felt a few of his ribs break upon impact and his mouth leaking blood. The remaining seraphs moved to attack Ashin to provide cover for Kaine to recover and launch a counter attack. Kaine called upon the dark side to rise to his feet, although he stumbled slightly, pain spiking through him with each movement, his head spinning. He called his lightsaber back to his hand, and hooked it to his belt as he summoned the dark side for a different kind of attack, using the force to create a sphere of water from the ocean below the city, and throwing it upward towards Ashin. He also called forth Sith Lightning to his finger tips, and unleashed a barrage of the arcing energy towards Ashin, attempting to use the water he threw earlier to electrocute her.

Ashin settled down on un-melted deck just as the water sphere and the lightning reached her. Her sabre moved to intercept the lightning, and the water sphere struck both. For a long, long instant, lightning permeated the water in crackling arcs around the place where her blade was turning the water sphere to steam. As the remaining, superheated water splashed her and the somewhat-dissipated lightning struck, Ashin closed her eyes.

She had grown used to being surrounded by conductive material -- her armor's metal edges touched her skin, forbidding her from using it as a Faraday cage. It was thoroughly possible to electrocute her through her armor, with even a glancing blow. And thus, she had long since developed a countermeasure. The hunger within her would normally open up, a blend of Force Drain and tutaminis, and consume the energies of the bolt as it entered her burned body. Those energies would dissipate; portions of them might even be reusable.

But this time she did something far, far different -- something she had tested against Darth Apparatus himself in the guts of Belsavis. Her own lightning lanced out from her free hand to intercept Kaine's bolt as it touched her. She modulated the energies just so, a piece of mastery she had invented in dire need, and their combined lightning cracked.

An electrostatic discharge blew out every electronic component in a hundred metres, apart from specially shielded things like lightsabres and, perhaps, the Seraphs. Apparatus's active defense had told her that the nanites and cybernetic augments of a high-ranking servant of Omni were, in some sense, vulnerable to electromagnetic pulse.

She could only trust that the same applied to Kaine.

Kaine could only watch in horror as the EMP charge created by Ashin from his own attack hit him, sending him stumbling backwards as the EMP destroyed the nanites within his body. Like a machine, Kaine shut down momentarily, falling to his knees and then collapsing on the ground as the wave passed over him. The two remaining Seraphs were also affected, and fell down into the ocean below. Kaine's eyes fluttered briefly before they opened up slowly, taking in the strange surroundings around him. He propped himself up on one arm, hissing in pain at his broken body, looking down to see blood freely pouring from a dozen or so minor wounds across his body. His head turned towards Ashin, and he whispered/breathed, "Empress? Where am I... Wha-... What." Kaine would then fall down as his strength failed him, blood pooling underneath him.

Auri Vesta

Captain of the Rimrunner
" Keep your eyes open, your not dying on me now " Auri studied the womans injurys. Smoke wisped up from a blaster wound on her right shoulder, and blood seeped out of a cut on the back of her head. Not life threatening Auri decided, but the healing process would be a long one, unless of course, someone had a kolto tank in their back pocket. " I'm moving you back to my ship " Auri told Roxanna. Using a mix of strength and adrenaline, Auri slung the woman over her shoulder and sprinted back to the ship. She opened the ships loading ramp and ducked inside, moving towards her sleeping quarters.

Auri laid Roxanna down gently onto her bed. " This is the best I can do for you right now, i'm sorry " Auri said apologetically. She turned and walked out of the room, heading next to the engine room. There she found her R9 unit, working away at the ships shield generator, which she had damaged on her way down to the planet. The R9 was an antique that she had found in a forgotten corner of her ship when she got it. Despite being ancient, it ran in mint condition. It was just as good or Auri would argue better than the current models of astromechs. " Hey R9 " The droid squealed and spun it's dome around to face her. " Get the ship somewhere safe and wait for me to comm you for pick-up " The droid whistled an affirmative. " And not too crazy, we have an injured passenger aboard. "

Numerous amounts of droids descended on @[member="Auri Vesta"] and @Roxanna XelKor. The Seraph droids that were shot began to pick themselves up. They grabbed a hold of whatever metal they could find and fused it into their "wounds." Then, they would attack again - this time with blades formed with their arms. Yet they managed to escape the scene to a ship.

As @[member="Dark Onyx"] stood several meters away, Darth Apparatus turned his head toward the World Destroyer. Through the Force, he sensed the battle that occurred over it. Omni's Champion had been traveling toward the terrible machine. Onyx, @[member="Darren Shaw"], and @[member="Kiyala Demont"] stood in his path.

The dark side of the Force enveloped Darth Apparatus as Onyx charged at him once more. Once more, Darth Apparatus's red lightsaber met Onyx's with a loud hiss as both plasma blades touched. When Onyx threw a punch, Darth Apparatus took his left arm and swiped Onyx's punches away. Then, the Darth took a couple steps back. He twisted his body around - pushing against Onyx's blade just before his disengagement.

Then, Darth Apparatus extended his left arm out at Darren's location. The same type of electricity that Onyx coated his arm with also covered the Darth's. A quick bolt of lightning shot toward the Dark Jedi with the same strength as if Onyx created it.

"P͠etty tr̸ic͘k͟s̵ ͞i҉n̛ ̸t͘h͟e҉ For̴çe͟ ͡ar̸ȩ ́u͡s̕eles͝s̵," exclaimed the Darth, alluding to Kiyala's attempts to obscure her fighting companions. Darth Apparatus's voice was horribly distorted - clarity abandoned his words.

The last traces of the Force Slow faded, but Ashin's steps were still ponderous, deliberate, her armored boots thudding against the metal deck. She did not touch Kaine or get near his blood. Even a handful of surviving nanites might reproduce and re-assert control over Kaine.

"And thus," she said to herself, finishing her own thought, "I have to be thorough. You are an asset, Zambrano. That is why you are not dead. Your usefulness, both potential and current, deserves the blame for this."

Purplish lightning cascaded from her gauntlet's fingertips, wreathing Kaine in a powerful electrical field. Any remaining, functional nanites would lose functionality -- permanently -- under this kind of an assault. She poured her full strength into the blast, and then, once she was certain that every bit of Omni's influence had been scoured from his body, she stepped away from him and redirected the lightning storm towards the immense World Devastator.

Onyx suddenly thought of a idea. It was suicidal and stupid, but it just might work.

He deactivated his lightsaber and began to meditate. He was honing in with the force it was then that he began to whisper. Not though mouth, but through the force and into the Darth. "This isn't you. You wouldn't do this, you would never jeopardize the Empire or the Sith order. Let go." He only hoped this plan would work, otherwise he was completely defenseless.

Without hesitation he was on the back of the speeder bike, watching the droids close in. He pointed a saber over the head of the driver towards the Devastator. "Go, before they mob us again. I'll be sure to keep them far enough away that we can get to it without any problems." He thumbed off his sabers and returned them to his belt, reaching out with the Force to form a barrier to block them from getting closer as they rammed their way towards the behemoth.

"Your good to go," she sighed placing her hands on her hips for the moment. "We better go check on those kids. I'm coming with you," she couldn't allow him to go alone. Not that she didn't think he was capable it was more along the lines as now she was worried about the children. What in the blazes were they doing on this planet still anyway. This was a huge battle which was an understatement in of itself.

"We are going to find those children," she looked to the woman next to her. Kalia was very familiar with military protocol, following orders and the like. They needed a leader and it looked as if she was it. Fine, she could lead people into battle it wasn't as if she hadn't done similar before. "He will show us the way. The plan is to get them somewhere safer if I can off planet. We will evaluate the situation more once we arrive."

Thraishe sped away towards the large structure.

"What do we do once we get there? Cause right now I see what looks like three Sith fighting each near the base of the construct!" Thraishe yelled over the sounds of the engine.
