The Imperial Remnant - Faction Advertisement

For thirty years, the Galactic Empire ruled over the galaxy with an iron fist. Under the shriveled hand of Emperor Palpatine, tyranny, xenophobia, and sexism ran rampant throughout the Empire, inevitably proving to be their downfall when the Rebellion triumphed during the Battle of Endor, paving the way for the final fragmentation of the Empire after Operation Shadow Hand in 11 ABY.

That was until the unification of fragmented warlord forces into an Imperial Remnant the following year. With Admiral Gilad Pellaeon taking the reigns, the Remnant would vastly improve many of the issues that the Galactic Empire of old had, but it was still not enough to keep evil from coming into power once more.

After eight centuries later and multiple failed attempts at restoring the glory of the Empire. A new element rises on the Inner Rim world of Bilbringi to attempt to quell the fears of the galactic population and defend them from the soon to come Galactic War.

After eight centuries, the Empire strikes back.

The COMMAND TRIUMVIRATE

The Imperial Remnant is led by three leaders of three branches, with neither being more powerful than the next. The Supreme Commander of the Imperial Army, the Grand Admiral of the Imperial Fleet, and the Grand Master of the Imperial Knights. Branches do not intersect, meaning an Army General cannot command an Imperial Fleet, a Navy Admiral cannot command Knights, nor can a Master of the Knights command an army.

The IMPERIAL ARMY

The Imperial Army is the greatest example of the Empire's will on the ground, be it by subjucating a planet, supressing a rebellion, or defending from an enemy invasion. The most well known element of the army is the STORMTROOPER CORPS, the elite white-armored enforcers that serve as a reminder of the Remnant's power with their near limitless numbers.

The IMPERIAL NAVY

The space-fairing aspect of the Imperial Remnant, with fleets sometimes large enough to blot out the sky. From nimble corvettes to mighty star destroyers, never underestimate the power of the Imperial Fleet. Within the Navy stands the IMPERIAL STARFIGHTER CORPS, piloting swarms of fast and powerful TIEs against the enemies of the Empire.

The IMPERIAL KNIGHTS

A sect of Force-users tasked with protecting the leadership and carrying out dangerous missions for the Remnant. Neither Light nor Dark, the true allegiance of the Imperial Knights is the Force over all else. Those who serve the Knights do so for the rest of their lives, with rare exceptions being made. The Imperial Knights will remove any of their brethren that succumb to the Dark Side, even their own leader if the time comes.

IMPERIAL INTELLIGENCE

Every get that feeling that you're being watched or followed? This is the job of Imperial Intelligence. Designed to gather information on individuals and organizations both within the Remnant and out of it, Imperial Intelligence is responsible for internal and external security, including preventing enemy agents from stealing the Remnant's secrets.

The MOFF COUNCIL

The Moff Council is the minor 'government' of the Imperial Remnant. More of an advisory board than a council that actually gives orders. The Moff Council is composed of high-ranking military individuals who have decided to govern planets, systems, and even sectors within Imperial territory. Moffs themselves have no power over the Remnant or its military, only retaining the military position they had before garnering the title of 'Moff'

If you want a genuine Imperial experience, join the Remnant now!

All criticism (not salt, criticism) wanted! Technically I asked for this as soon as I created this thread!

I have come as the prophecy foretold.
So how long do you think this little Fel Empire rip-off will last until you go crawling back to the First Order?

Always assuming he had the option, which he does not.

I wish him well, though, honestly. Good luck, Imperial Remnant #9281!

Editor's Note: I saw what [member="Darth Carnifex"] posted and thought general roasting was permissible. I see now that Graf only wants roasting from specific people, so I have removed the inflammatory portion of my comment. Apologies to [member="Tanomas Graf"] for the error. Good luck with your new faction :)

My suggestion for [member="Tanomas Graf"] going forward is to really, fully, commit to the faction. Otherwise this will be a very short endeavor which ultimately succeeds at absolutely nothing.

You couldn't find it in yourself to post to our threads in the First Order (all while complaining about not having anything to do) while secretly plotting to defect to the Alliance, only to defect from them(?) in order to start up your "genuine" Empire -- which, I have to question why, considering you were equally vocal about previous unnecessary factions in the past.

I really get the feeling you're just doing this for attention and to scratch that ego itch, and not because you really intend to make a vibrant and active faction for the site.

In the meantime, as a show of good will from the First Order to your Imperial Remnant, I urge you to keep the 'General of the Starfighters' rank and position, so that your genuine Imperial experience can use original concept ranks created for the First Order!

At the moment, this will work. Give it time to evolve?
Oh no no I am not going to make any premature determination or guess towards the success or failure of this endeavor.

I am simply saying there are parts that....................shall we say I would do differently.

I have to ask, but in what ways do you intend to make sure this faction can stay the course, unlike previous attempts at Imperials on the board (excluding the FO which has been doing quite well)? Just curious really because this curse needs to be overcome

The plan is easier said than done, I have to admit. One of the major issues that felled the other Imperial factions (save the First Order) is OOC drama as well as IC and OOC leadership intersecting with each other. I plan to ensure that this stays at an absolute minimum as best as I can as the FO, be it a simple warning or removal of authority. I know this seems destructive to the cause, but I feel it might be best to prevent us from developing even more stigma.

The second issue is usually activity, which dies down after the initial excitement of starting the Faction, usually by fault of the FOs who lose interest rather quickly. I can give my word that I am serious about getting the Imperial Remnant into becoming a good faction, and will try to promote activity with fun new threads and opportunities for my members to take advantage of.

Other than those things, I can really just hope that it goes well.

Truth be told, I love Imperial factions, the Imperial Remnant has always been my favorite group in Star Wars. I too plan to give my all to this faction, and see that it comes together with teamwork, and fun writing.

It is easier said than done, but it can be done. :)

[member="Tanomas Graf"] I wish you well with this. The Empire needs more love.

As I believe 'The Force Awakens' awoke (no pun intended) our imagination for the First Order, I believe 'Rogue One' will do the same with the Empire back on the big screen. AT-ACTs, TIEs, Death Star, Imperial officers, Stormies, flowing capes...just what the Empire needs.

It should serve you well with people looking to replicate a slice of that Imperial war machine back here on the boards. I think we need more Factions like the Empire/First Order with that mighty NFU leadership up front.

Good luck!
