The 5 Standing Orders of Imperial Society
"Order 1: All Orders Shall Be Obeyed Without Question
Order 2: Punishment Shall be Executed Swiftly
Order 3: Justice can be Dictated
Order 4: Your Loyalty is to the Empire
Order 5: There is but one Penalty for Treason. Death."
From the Ashes of what was, a New Empire Shall Arise

The Imperial Remnant is a society of driven men and women who long for the return of the order and stability offered by the Galactic Empire long before The Darkness. Based on the philosophy that it takes more than strength and power to effectively rule, The Imperial Remnant has abolished the idea of a Force-User centric system of government. Instead, Force Sensitives and Non-Force Sensitives share power in the interest of furthering the cause of their Empire as a whole. This keen understanding and philosophy built the moral framework for this new Imperial society; a framework based on the ideas that:

  • To Keep You Must Earn - A Society Built on the Pillars of Charity is a Weak Society. Thus all Citizens of the Empire Must Serve in Order to Live.
  • To Rule You Must Serve - Only Those who Have Fought for Their Empire can Truly Come to Appreciate it. Thus, Only Military Veterans are Allowed to Hold Seats of Government.
  • To Serve You Must Conquer - The Empire can Only Grow Stronger by Reclaiming What is Inherently Its own. War is a Necessary Evil That Must be Used Until The Empire is Restored and all Citizens are Expected to do Their Part.

The Imperial Remnant is ruled by a sovereign who receives the title of Emperor/Empress upon their nomination to office by the Grand Moff Council. The sovereign rules for life and upon his/her death the eldest child of the family will ascend to the throne. However, the Grand Moff Council may call a vote of no-confidence against the Sovereign currently in power at anytime they please.

Upon a unanimous decision by the Grand Moffs to remove the Sovereign from power, the Emperor/Empress is decreed by law to vacate the throne. If the Sovereign refuses, the Grand Moffs are legally inclined to rally forces from their sector and forcibly remove the Sovereign from power. In the event of a vacant throne, The Grand Moffs must decide amongst themselves who will take the throne, with any Grand Moffs who are nominated being immediately barred from the voting process. If the previous Dynasty in power has a next of kin when a throne is vacated by vote or by force, the Grand Moffs may elect any of the surviving Dynasty members to power; or they may vote a new Dynasty into power altogether.

Live to Serve, Die to Protect

The Imperial Remnant has a cunning military force that is divided into three distinct branches. The Imperial Army, The Imperial Navy and The Order of Imperial Knights. Together, these branches defend and protect the systems of the Imperial Remnant; using their collective abilities to crush their enemies. Warriors within any of these three branches will have the opportunity to create unique squads that, with enough activity and effort, can become Elite Squads (A Sub-Faction entity within the Imperial Remnant itself).

The Imperial Army: The Imperial Army is the driving factor in any and all Imperial military campaigns. In effort to improve the system used by the Galactic Empire of old, the Imperial Army is a consolidation of the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps and their lesser brethren. Now, collectively known as Stormtroopers, The Imperial Army charges any hill and takes any mountain with the longing for order in their hearts and the visions of peace in their minds.

The Imperial Navy: The Imperial Navy was once the most feared force in the galaxy. The Imperial Remnant intends to make their naval power the most feared force in all of history. Taking the galaxy by storm, the Imperial Navy utilizes the iconic models of the Galactic Empire in their conquests to bring peace to a chaotic galaxy. Pilots are trained extensively, taught to know no fear and to flee from no enemy.

The Imperial Knights: Conquerors. Rulers. Inquisitors. These Force-Sensitive warriors are known by many civilizations, each bestowing them with a title of fear or envy. To The Imperials though, they are known as guardians. Protectors of peace who come bearing the burden gifts of order and security upon their shoulders, giving their lives to Throne and Empire forever. Once an Imperial Knights vows his blade to the Empire, he is forever sealed into a contract to safeguard the security of the Imperial Remnant. A contract satisfied only in death after having kept his/her promise to help bring the dream of a safe and structured galaxy into fruition. To break this sacred promise is treason and through battle or execution; each Imperial Knight owes his Empire a debt of blood.

Imperial Knights can satisfy their vow in many ways throughout The Imperial Remnant; serving as pilots, infantrymen, spies, scouts or even personal guards to the sovereign. Regardless of what they choose to do, Imperial Knights are warriors first and citizens second. This is taken so seriously in Imperial Society that the Imperial Knights have done away with the religious morality that hinders other Force Users. The Knights believe that The Force is but a tool that must be commanded just as any saber or blaster; it is not some mystical God to be worshiped or feared.

Rule Through Mercy, Conquer Through Fear

The Imperial Remnant is ruled through feudal system of government in which the Sovereign is at the head, followed by the positions of Grand Moff and Vice Moff. Between them rests a very delicate balance of power in which the Sovereign rules on behalf of the Empire and the Moffs in exchange for their loyalty and military power. Unlike the Galactic Empire in which Moffs were simple extensions of The Emperor's own power, the Moffs of the Remnant hold power all of their own.

Vice Moffs: Act as counts who caste their shadow of rule over individual systems within the Imperial sphere of influence. The position of Vice Moff is considered a gift to the individual by the Empire and as apart of this gift, the Vice Moff is allowed full governing rights over his planet in accordance to Imperial decrees and laws. Vice Moffs are in charge of all operations and recruitment on their given planets and all troops who happen to be stationed on a Vice Moff's planet are considered his/her to command until they are called upon by the Grand Moff or the Sovereign.

Grand Moffs: Act as dukes whose shadows loom over entire sectors of Imperial space, encompassing several star systems. Grand Moffs are responsible for the appointment of Vice Moffs in their given sectors and are considered to be the Supreme Commanders of all military forces in their sector. No forces in a sector can be raised for inter-system deployment without a Grand Moff's permission and they may use them as personal levies if the reason for doing so falls within benefit of the Empire. Each sector is purposely divided to maintain close to equal power between the individual Grand Moffs and the Sovereign to maintain peace. However, it is not impossible for the armies to overcome one another.

The Grand Moff Council: The Grand Moff Council is second only to the Sovereign and acts as an advisory board as well as the voice on Imperial domestic, governmental and foreign policy. Each Grand Moff is allowed to rule their sectors as they see fit, but the council is in place to assure that certain laws are maintained throughout all sectors and that each sector is as close as possible to equal footing. This is the basic limit of the council's authority, aside from the ability to unanimously vote the Emperor from the throne.
