Ticca

It's harder to heal than it is to kill.
Ticca noticed Des smiling at her suggestion that her lateness was merely another form of the technique. The faint hint of a smile appeared in return on Ticca's own face. And then Ticca focused her attention back to Master Jairdain as she set about answering her question. Curiously revealing that Jairdain too was blind and used the force to see, Ticca understood her statements.
"I am also blind, but not a Miraluka. We both use the Force to see the world around us, but likely in very different manners. However, through both of these abilities, you still maintain the sense of yourself. So you will never be hidden from that. Just because you shrink your ability to the size of nothing, that doesn't mean it isn't there. Only that others can not sense you. You still have all of your abilities. Explain to me how you see, please."

Just because one could hide themselves did not mean that they lost sight of themselves. Though it would seem that Jairdain also sought to understand how Ticca could see, to which she bit her lip. How to explain Miralukan sight to someone that was not a Miraluka. Gathering her thoughts for a moment, she answered. "I see both the physical shells which encapsulate the aura forms of those around me, and the energy flowing through my environment. These shells and objects likewise appear translucent, and I am able to see through them. The aura forms however are unique to each life." Ticca paused a moment, and then remarked. "That simple explanation does not due the clarity of "sight" we possess justice but it is perhaps the simplest way to explain."

Ticca's attention then turned as a student in a hoverchair then appeared to join the lesson. Ticca raised her hand in a friendly wave, and then paid keen attention to the response Jairdain would give to the question asked. The question she asked on whether or not she would be able to hide her hoverchair was transferable to any equipment that Ticca or the other students would bring with them. Ticca nodded approvingly at the curiosity displayed and patiently waited for an answer. "Hello, my name is Ticca." She repeated for those who had just arrived and had likely missed her introduction beforehand.

It would probably be difficult for these students to hide completely from Jairdain because they continued to feel their emotions. However, she could sense it when Desbre started to make her Force signature smaller. The younger woman was able to grasp that ability quickly and the Akk dog searched for her when she faded away from sight as well. She looked to Jairdain for what looked like help. Giving the dog a head shake, she knew why she was here and started looking about for Desbre.

So far A'Sura was only observing the class and that was fine with Jairdain. Sometimes people did not want to practice or try out new skills around other people. The Master would have to check up on later to see if he had progressed at all. If he hadn't, then she could try teaching him outside of this class. His statement about learning something today was met with a gentle smile and her attention was drawn away at the arrival of a new person.

Listening to the question, she nodded. This might be the first time a question like this had been posed to her, she had an answer ready for Glade.

"That chair is as much a part of you as your clothes. Correct? When a Force user goes into stealth, they also make their clothes and any gear they have with them disappear. All you have to do is think of it as an extension of your body."

Taking her lightsaber off of her belt, she held it up in front of herself. Focusing on that extension of herself, it would start to appear to shimmer slightly until it faded away. As she focused on the rest of her body, it too started to fade away. A keen eye might be able to see the lightwaves around her as they were reflected back. At the moment, she appeared to blend in with the land around them.

In the blink of an eye, she had reappeared and was standing next to Glade. Her lightsaber was back on its belt and she had moved silently. Through the Force, she could tell the crippled woman, was deeply depressed. Having been in a similar state before, she wanted to help Glade even if she didn't know how to just yet.

Being as empathic as she was, she would attempt to lighten the burden Glade might be feeling. Something almost like a warm hug or even just a small comforting touch would hopefully be felt by the other woman as Jairdain focused on her in the Force. Provided Glade accepted the offering, the feeling would linger on her for as long as she wanted.

While she was doing that, the students greeted each other and Desbre even answered Glade before she could. They introduced each other and Reggie moved off to try and bring Ura out of hiding. With the two new arrivals, Jairdain had lost track of the original ones that had shown up. Standing with a body that indicated openness, she hoped it would show Ura that she wasn't going to bite.

Turning when Ticca found the words to explain how she saw the world, Jairdain listened quietly. Ticca wasn't the first Miraluka she had met in her life and she probably was not going to be the last. Nodding as to how the Miraluka used her vision, it was different than how she saw the world. She totally expected that though and was pleased to have a better understanding of how Ticca's worked.

She was silent for a few moments before addressing the class once again.

"Please, give yourselves a little while to practice these skills. If you have any questions, please just ask. Both skills have been covered and demonstrated. Reggie might also be able to help explain things if you need that done in another manner."

A'Sura was intrigued of what this class would bring. What kind of knowledge would he learn that the Force guided him here. After being accepted a newcomer arrived just like him. But to his surprise, this new comer Glade Glade , was on a hover chair. To his thoughts, he assumed that she is injured temperately. But kept his thoughts to himself. She waved her hand and greeted her self to the new members of the class before her arrival. "You came at the best time. The class' excersice is about to start."

Hidding one's presence. A very useful practice with one that is connected with the force. He could sense their whereabouts or even join the class. But he is here to learn. And right now he is learning by observing the class and the teacher. He has only one way to say from seeing this go down. "Impressive. I'm going to assume that you next lesson would be to 'sense' " He spoke to Master Jairdain Jairdain on his assumption on her next lesson for the students would be.

“Heya Des, they nicknamed me Glade”, the infamous ‘they’, shaking her hand lightly but energetically, bright smiles, an emotion a minute. Glade’s hand felt earthy, like it spent day after day handling trees, pruning and cutting, blowing leaves around to nowhere in particular. Named back at the forest home by the locals where she spent most waking moments in a specific Glade. She wasn't even a very good gardener she just liked flowers.

But she saw, no she felt Desbre’s solitude beneath the subtext, she was so mentally sensitive, it was all in vivid color, like a loudspeaker in her mind. The isolation and tension. Reflected well in herself too, on that wavelength for different reasons. Beneath the chatty exterior she looked for the same solitude, she was kinda realising a lot of people did. She smiled to Desbre tilting her head, an unspoken and shared life situation expressed in the look she gave her. That sense in the force was shared, Des had a friend if she wanted one, she got it.

But I don’t think it would be significantly different.

“Hope so,” bobbing her head lightly in the hope it could be done.

Reggie Faayare got a quick wave too, and Ticca was sent a ‘mindspeak’ that was a big happy hello with her name, a mental image that was so vivid it might be hard to tell fact from fiction, but happy, light and welcoming till it faded. She actually preferred to speak in mental images rather than words. It let her play with her paintbrush or mindpaint more.

Chair is a part of you. “I get’cha erm.” That’s when she needed the hug. Emotions dipping, up and down. She’d accepted the chair a while ago but not that it might be part of her like her clothes, the change of paint on the outside was a slow acceptance of that reality.

Jairdains hug if it could be returned, came as a mental image if she accepted it, the sensation of a huge excitable hug whamming into her. There was color, sensation, momentum. It was all there till it faded to see or not.

Soooo… envision a ball, remembering the words she'd overheard. She scrunched her nose and tensed herself up. But that didn’t feel right. Hmm, maybe. Her mind, she scrunched her mind up but that didn’t work. There was so much going on in her head, people trying to read her usually ended up going in circles which were a very effective defense too, a maze almost of wonderful pathways that ended up in imaginary worlds of art or life to distract. Her and them.

That’s sort of what was happening, only not very effectively. Outwardly, in the force there was a lot of noise, not a little bit. So much it was hard to understand what it was, or more importantly where she was in the force. Not quite the technique she was going for, she blinked. "Dunno." Was all she said as she opened her eyes again.

You came at the best time.

Beaming smile to A'sura Den, she was enjoying herself. Creatively playing around, failing and learning, throwing the artistic paint and seeing where it landed in her technique.
