NAME: Ticca

FACTION: CIS, (other philanthropic factions)

RANK: Medic, Knights Obsidian Squire

SPECIES: Miraluka

AGE: 28

SEX: Female

HEIGHT: 5'4"

WEIGHT: 160 lbs

EYES: None

HAIR: Silver

SKIN: Tan

FORCE SENSITIVE: YES

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Strengths:

Force Sight(Innate): All Miraluka are possessed of an enhanced level of force sight which they use to navigate their surroundings. The Miraluka rely on this power constantly to compensate for their physical blindness. They can not perceive colors but could distinguish organics (even dead) and their alignment from the surrounding environment by their characteristic aura. Most objects, including doors and walls, appear translucent, allowing the Miraluka to see through them. The Miraluka are the most skilled experts of the technique. Thanks to it, their reflexes are strengthened enormously. Additionally, Ticca has taken this innate ability and channeled it through her rigorous medical training in order to be able to accurately diagnose a person's injuries from an extended distance.

Camaraderie: Miraluka treat each other as members of one big family, calling each other sister or brother accordingly. Ticca has taken this and extended it slightly, including those that she meets and forms bonds with as a part of this extended family. As a result, Ticca's attitude towards strangers is open and she makes friends easily. And Ticca would go to great lengths for her family, so those fortunate enough to earn the titles have made a steadfast ally. Of course, the expectation is that these lengths are returned should Ticca have need of them.

Force Training: As a Squire of the Knights Obsidian, Ticca is currently undergoing Force training.

Medical Training and Force Healing Aptitude: Ticca has undergone strict medical training giving her extensive knowledge of the body and how to treat its wounds and ailments. Additionally, Ticca displays an aptitude for Force Healing, having discovered that she possessed the ability early on.

Force Stasis Martial arts/ Martial Training: Ticca has developed her form of combat, using her force healing techniques to paralyse an opponent’s nerves and thus deal with them non-lethally. (Force Stasis) The potential styles she has interwoven are Teras Kasi and Varon Coh. Additionally, Ticca is quite proficient with her energy bow and several forms of martial arts.

Mixed:

Cautious and Deliberate (Strength and Weakness): Ticca is a thoughtful, cautious, and deliberate person. She enjoys possessing the most information possible about a situation and acting accordingly. This cool head allows her to maintain her focus under high stress situations such as a firefight or dealing with severely wounded patients. It also however means that Ticca possesses a slight pause in making snap judgments as she tries to process all the information.

Weakness:

Reticence to Violence: Ticca is a medic at heart. Her goal is to heal everyone she can. Therefore, Ticca will only use violence as a last resort. Now, it should be stated that a reticence towards violence does not mean that Ticca is defenseless. Her innate Force Sight and medical knowledge can be formidable. Rather what this means is, Ticca will most likely attempt to deal with the opponent in a non-lethal way or flee if at all possible.

Claustrophobia: Ticca suffers from a fear of small spaces. Yes, it is an irrational thing to fear given the fact that walls are translucent due to her force-sight, but nonetheless, small spaces bring a surge of panic to her mind.

APPEARANCE:
Ticca is a short, olive-skinned Miraluka with a lithe frame, that hides a wiry strength and speed one would not expect. Lustrous, silver tresses that would spill down to around the midst of her back are tightly bound into a bun, with only two rebellious bangs curling and framing her face. One can almost always find a smile lurking at the corners of her mouth, as if there is some joke being told that only Ticca can hear.

BIOGRAPHY:
Ticca was born to Orthorion and Tyrael, a BladeWalker and Huntress of Vylmira. The Miraluka couple were happy to be blessed with a child and Ticca was cherished from an early age. Ticca’s parents made sure to hone Ticca’s skills taking immense pride in her growth. Ticca remembers the pride her mother felt when she had mastered her Force Sight, her training with her first energy bow and martial arts, and the skills of moving quietly through the wilderness. More than once during her training, she could remember her mother's words guiding her through the stances. "No, shift your foot there otherwise you'll lose your balance. The spear should be an extension of your body. Keep that shield up if you want to live." Her father, gentler in temperament was the one who taught her the importance of protecting others. He once said, "Ticca, I want you to remember this. This was taught to me by my father as I teach it to you. Those who care for others are the strongest of all."

Ticca didn't understand then for she had no need to. She was a young lady at the time, her breasts barely beginning to grow in. Rather she spent her days exploring the jungles with her friend, Tynal. An uncontrolled ball of energy , Ticca often could only be soothed by Tynal, a sickly human child, who was her complete opposite. Where she was harsh, he was gentle. Where she was angry, he was calm. The two spent much time together exploring the temperate jungles of Vylmira. When Ticca was hidden from even her parents, Tynal somehow managed to bring her back by the ear. One of Ticca’s fondest memories of her childhood was her promise to Tynal to join the Bladewalkers together. They had scrambled up to their secret spot in one of the alcoves of the White Gold Tower and made their pledge. After that, they ceaselessly worked to get the Bladewalkers to acknowledge their efforts. Tynal wound up on the administrative side, directing responses and units, while Ticca had wound up placed into the general force. Eventually, the pair had even made Journeyman.
That changed when Tynal died. It was during one of their forest excursions that the pair had been forced to enter the jungle beyond. They splashed through puddles and leaped over underbrush, pursuing a criminal of Vylmira wanted for the murder of a competitive industrial businessman. They hadn't expected to run into any beasts, and were thoroughly unprepared when a frenzied Eremochloa (for reference, a eremochloa is a segmented, herbivorous, centipede-like creature which uses mimicry and a symbiotic relationship with the grass nearby to escape its predators. Its back is adorned with thousands of razor sharp “grass” blades, differentiated from normal grass by only the slightly off hue of green) burst through the jungle, charging straight towards them. It appeared to have taken an energy arrow in the leg, and frothed slightly at the mouth as it ran. Ticca's Force Sight allowed her to see it coming through the brush, it’s dark green aura form splintering through the trees. Her reflexes caused her to jump out of the way, tackling Tynal. As she did, the Eremochloa plowed into him, scoring a deep wound upon his leg before the Hunter chasing behind it managed to finish it with a well placed shot.

Ticca remembered glancing over Tynal, and watching as the energy and blood leaked from his pale aura form. The blood was viscous and clung to her hands, ceaselessly flowing despite her and the Hunter’s best efforts to staunch it. It trickled through her fingers like an endless tide. So much blood in such a frail body. All she remembered was wishing that it would stop. She watched in surprise as the energy permeating in the world around her, and even her own, came together in order to seal the wound, restoring Tynal’s form to normal. Or so she had thought. Ticca had failed to notice that the wound on Tynal’s leg wasn’t the true problem. The true problem lay in the internal injuries caused by the wound. Injuries that Ticca was unaware of and by sealing the cut had simply slapped a bandaid on the problem.

After a moment’s pause to rest and process what happened, Ticca wrapped Tynal's leg with strips torn from her shirt just in case the wound reopened and this seeming miracle patch failed. "You'll be alright." She said to him, "Just lean on me. I will get you home." She started to carry him towards the city. It seemed so far. Along the way, she continued talking to Tynal, telling him about the aura forms of pretty flowers she saw on the way. He would like those kinds of things. His responses grew less and less frequent though Ticca figured that he was just saving his strength. It was only when she reached the edge of the city, croaking for help with her sore throat that she noticed his aura form was empty of the spark of life. She had carried a corpse through the last leg of the journey. Tynal, her friend was dead.
Ticca sat there in the waiting room of the BladeWalker’s autopsy department. Dimly, through fervent whispers, she could hear the frustrated beratements of the Chief Medical Officer. She remembered the medical professional saying, “Who did this? Who healed his wounds without checking for internal damage?” Something broke inside Ticca then. She barely rested, barely slept for months at a time. She dared not, for that emptiness would stare back at her. "You promised that I'd be fine." It seemed to accuse. Ticca couldn't bear that unblinking stare. Later though, and with patience from her mentors, friends, and teammates, she finally remembered the words her father had spoken and the shell of apathy she had built fell.

Ticca discovered new motivations to pursue medical training, and reapplied to the Vylmira University. When she described the way in which she had sealed the wound, the mentors realized that she could use the Force to heal. They began to instruct her in the ways of the force, and how to properly use and control her new abilities.

Following this, Ticca naturally progressed towards a position with the Knights Obsidian and found herself as a trainee at the Acanthus School of the Neutral Force. (This was also where Ticca developed her form of combat, using her force healing to paralyse an opponent’s nerves and thus deal with them non-lethally. The potential styles she has interwoven are Teras Kasi and Varon Coh.) As she progressed with both her Force Abilities and understanding of the duality of the force, she mellowed and came to accept her loss. Life and death were both a natural state of things, but her purpose lay in protecting life. Something was lost when a life transitioned into death, something precious. And Ticca had seen enough death to last a while.

SHIP:
"Cavalry" - One T-5 Deliverance shuttle.
Description:
Being a variant of the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, the T-5 Deliverance had a tri-hedral foil design, with a stationary center foil and two articulated flanking wings. When in flight, the side wings folded out for greater stabilization. When landing, the wings folded in. It measured 20 meters in length, was equipped with a hyperdrive, and mounted with two forward-facing double laser cannons, two wing-mounted double cannons, and a rear-facing double laser cannon. Under its belly, the Deliverance variant featured a boxy container that was absent from the regular Lambda-class. On both sides of its stationary foil, the Deliverance bore the cross-like red sigil, a universal symbol that identified medical vehicles.

Supplies:
One Emergency Pack containing: A breath mask, electrobinoculars, Medpacs (to supplement her Force Healing and stabilize patients before she can get to them), a cloak, mess kit, rations, a vibro knife, and a X-B military issue hold out blaster.

Armor:
A leather tabard and pants of various hides that were stitched together to provide enough material to create the outfit. The stitching isn't likely to win any awards, but it is functional. Upon this base, Ticca has fashioned removable, interlocking shoulder plates that are held in place by a system of buckles. These shoulder plates can be removed fairly quickly and provide a decent amount of protection while not hindering Ticca's mobility.

(More personalized armor to be built upon graduation from Squire Rank.)

Lightsaber: (To be built)

KILLS:
None.

BOUNTIES COLLECTED:
