Sitting in the "private room" in an undisclosed location on a world far away, he enjoyed upping his bids. Transferring funds to secret accounts, he awaited the conclusion of this.

From the confines of the undisclosed office, located on a planet far, far, away, the Echani continued to watch the proceedings with great interest. Of course, his funds were private, his identity was anonymous, and his money was where his mouth was.

Zaiden sent a mental message from his ship to @[member="Sargon Vynea"], one that held his secret weapon.

Domino rather liked grand ol' places with genteel feelings and had actually shown up to the house in person. Which wasn't to say she had come alone. In the streets surrounding the building an entire mechanized division of the Black Sun Guard lounged next to their machines or barricades. Smoking and chatting or ordering treats from the surrounding shops.
lot N: cr60,000

Behold, the triumphant return of anonymous bidder Sh'kh'a'l Mior'n. Wielding his datapad with great justice, he placed the following bet.
  • Lot D: cr105,000

Juthan walks over to Aedan and makes himself known, giving the slight bow he always gives. "Hello Captain Miles, Void sends his regards. I assume you are here for the same reason as everyone else?" He keeps an eye on his bets while he talks, also watching the ones he was not betting on and who their buyers are. @[member="Aedan Miles"]

From within one of the many, undisclosed locations, the clone continued to watch the proceedings which occurred upon his data pad. Of course, like most, his identity was anonymous, his funds in private accounts, and all the Grand Marshal had to worry about was outbidding the opposition. To this end, he maintained his bets and upped the ante.

Lot D - 250,000 credits

Sargon was in a private room, but not on another planet. He'd arrived for the bid in person in lieu of the military junta of the Fringe. He did however see something he wanted though personally, and would not be out bid for it. For the moment though he merely added to his bid by a small margin.

Lot V- Refuge, transport, and a true second chance at life
It was in truth a silly bid really, but he believed he could manage it. It was up to the seller to see if they believed him.

The Echani decided to up his bids all around, so that the odds may ever be in his favor.
  • Lot B - 10 million credits
  • Lot C - 1 million credits
  • Lot J - 1 million credits
  • Lot K - 5% Czerka Arms
  • Lot R - 20% Czerka Arms
  • Lot N - 15 million credits
(Changed due to outbidding that I did not see)

Juthan looked down as one of the bids on an item he was shooting for was updated, that being Lot V, and laughing as he saw it. "Really... not even going to challenge that as i still am higher than it." He checks through his bids one last time, keeping them unchanged and going back to his attempted conversation with Aedan.

Sven sat quietly in the back of the room, a slight smile on his face as he saw his fathers artifacts go for literal billions of Credits. There was a hint of amusement in his eyes as people kept upping their bids on Moridins trinkets. He wondered if they realized that those very same artifacts were just copies of copies, there had been hundreds of them in the Sith Archives, likely the place that the lot owner had received them from. When the next lot came up Sven frowned slightly.

There was a particular item that worried him, that in the wrong hands could be entirely devastating. The Force Dead son of Moridin looked over the current bids and scoffed slightly. This particular round of bidding was summed up best in the words "Beauty was in the eyes of the Beholder". Nothing was really worth anything unless the lot owner deemed it to be valuable, Sven knew this though he doubted that others did with how they were throwing around the things they owned. Slowly Sven keyed in his bid.

"Lot T: Sample of Force Dead Humans Blood."

Sven's DNA was precious. There were other humans in the galaxy like him of course, but each had their own unique way of becoming force dead. Sven was a mix and match of Yuuzhan Vong and Human DNA. It had made him completely dead to the force, more so it was a process that could be reverse engineered and replicated. He smiled slightly, and then waited.

@[member="Juthan'Athar"]

Aedan looks up almost as if he had been sleeping not really paying attention he first checks his bid and then stretches nodding to the man almost absently. "Juthan'Athar was it good to see you are you here on behalf of Void or doing some bidding of your own?"

In disputed space near the Mando-Republic border, Contruum could have been claimed to be Republic space. Republic officials asserted that it was so, despite knowing that the Mandalorians would have an interest in the world for border integrity.

The highly publicized auction quickly garnered the attention of Republic officials. Once the lots were disclosed in order to gain the eyes of potential buyers, the Republic immediately made plans to act. The Darkstaff and the danger it posed was enough for the Republic, yet action would have also benefited the Jedi Order and its quest to reclaim its lost holocrons.

Legal paperwork ensued as the Republic obtained a search warrant for the auction house. One of the goals of would have been detaining the employees of Bayse, Bayse, and V’nnuk’rk, Auctioneers, Ltd. for questioning. It would have allowed the Republic to quickly obtain bank information that would have been related to Velok, as the auction house would have likely needed such information beforehand in order to charge Velok for renting the facility in order to exclusively sell his goods as well as for the extensive marketing that this auction required. The staff would have also needed to know where to send the money and goods acquired by buyers. Further contact from Velok would have also assisted these investigations.

While reclaiming the stolen goods was the top priority, the Republic could not have been certain that all of the holocrons and the Darkstaff would have been kept on site. Yet, allowing the items to be sold off would have scattered them around the galaxy. In addition, buying back the items would have gone against the Republic’s policy of not compromising with terrorists.

Meanwhile, above Contruum.

A Rupublic command ship flanked came out of warp and maintained an orbit above the planet. A message was sent down to the building in place of a bid, because being generally kind of a hippy didn't mean that Aleidis Ijet didn't have a sense of dramatic irony.

"Attention: Bayes, Bayes, and V'nnuk'rk Auctioneers. This is the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic, Aleidis Ijet. I am here to inform you that you are attempting to sell stolen Republic artifacts taken from our Jedi Archives by a man known as Velok - who is suspected of blowing up Rhoomasol and Osarian." She explained. "Any efforts you undertake to assist in our efforts to regain what is ours and bring that man to justice will be looked upon favorably by the Galactic Republic - and refusal to comply will have your company deemed accessories to this most vile criminal."

"This is my bid. Please consider it carefully." Aleidis finished. "Your expedient reply is appreciated."

Whatever was going on on Contruum was not known to the man on a impossible to trace signal, on a ship in the middle of nowhere actively sending a false telesponder code. His accounts where anonoymous, and his identity was a secret. The information he was sending wasn't even going to Contruum, so he had no idea as to the Republic's sudden appearance.
