Warden of Concordia
.
Siv remained quiet for a moment, letting Dral-Kar'ta's words settle as his eyes followed the man's attention toward the old weapons. There was something to the thought that, despite all the advances Mandalorians had made, the act of fighting itself may not have changed all that much. Weapons became more refined, armor more advanced, but when two warriors stood against one another, the same instincts remained."Perhaps that's why the old weapons are still worth looking at," Siv said quietly. "They remind us that for all the things we've changed, some things probably haven't changed at all."
His gaze moved across the Hall again, lingering briefly on the relics of those who had come before.
"And perhaps that's why this place can be humbling. It's easy to look at what they left behind and wonder if we'll ever measure up. I suppose we'll never really know. They probably wondered the same thing about themselves."
Only then did Siv turn fully toward the stranger.
"Siv Kryze. Warden of Concordia."
His eyes briefly settled on the heraldry across Dral-Kar'ta's armor, studying the red Wurm and yellow sword. The sigil was familiar enough, though not from battlefields or old stories.
"Sandyr..." Siv mused. "I recognize the heraldry. I've seen some of your clan's supplies come through Concordia. A few of the shipments have crossed my desk at the Anvil."
There was a faint hint of amusement in his voice.
"Seems your clan has found a rather effective way of contributing to the Empire without needing to put a rifle in every pair of hands."
Siv glanced back toward the displays.
"Not that there's anything wrong with that. Building something that lasts is its own kind of service."
His attention returned to Dral-Kar'ta.
"So, what brought you here? The old weapons caught your attention, but I'd wager there was more to it than curiosity."
