The Good [Ambered Alert Investigation Thread]

Beth took a breath as she squeezed [member="Caedyn Arenais"] hand. She wasn't exactly aware that she was still holding it, she was just trying to figure out how to survive in this whole mess. The only comfort in Beth's mind was that if someone weaponized it, chances are they had a cure for it. Someone wouldn't weaponize something without being able to reverse it. Or at least, that's what she hoped. On that same note, she couldn't imagine what Caedyn was feeling with his mom being turned into a block of AMBER with no real concrete knowledge. But, she could tell that [member="Tiali Orazio"] was on his way towards them. And he could tell that they didn't target the woman next to [member="Lady Kay"], which meant Lady Kay was a target.

If Lady Kay was a target... Then so Caedyn, assumably! That meant this was planned, too. Frack... What were they going to do? Beth was just trying to think of a game plan. They would be more valuable alive than AMBERED, so Beth was trying to figure... Something out. It looked like a Jedi might be engaging. Plus, she heard [member="Skosk Australis"] in the air telling him to leave her alone. She loved her, for all purposes, brother. He'd do anything for her. She almost screamed out to him, but he probably saw her from his vantage point since he was literally in the air.

Her mind was pulled back to Caedyn as he said he had to get to his mom, "Caedyn, don't, they want you to go back..." She tried to convince him to not leave, also instinctively gripping her hand on his but he broke free. Just like that, he was already gone, running back to his mom. She couldn't blame him - if [member="Yasha Mantis"] or [member="Kaine Australis"] were in a similar situation, she would do everything she could to get to them. To somehow save them, even if she had no idea. She groaned, her long ears pulling back into a defensive, worried position.

Her attention was turned to a momentarily angry Skosk as he yelled at her from... Somewhere. How did he manage to yell that loud, actually? Sheesh... Firstly, she noted in her mind, she lost [member="Mavarah"] at the spaceport. That wasn't her fault! Hopefully, she was still there and not anywhere near here... Ugh, she didn't see her around here at least... Secondly, lover boy?! It wasn't like that! ... Was it? Beth liked him, sure, but... Her cheeks flushed bright red as she stared at the ground for a moment. Gosh, he didn't have to embarrass her like that in front of literally the people who would probably kill her or whatever happened to someone who got AMBERED. Plus, what if Caedyn heard?! But, there was more important things than to argue with Skosk. She had to cause trouble. Draw them away. She could do that. She was kinda good at doing that. She and Skosk working together was always a good team - at, well, getting into trouble. It was a reputation they had acquired. Whether sneaking into kitchen cabinets at night or bashing faces in, they could always rely on each other.

Urgh, mom is going to kill her when she hears about this. She could only imagine the scolding she was going to get from Yasha. With a deep breath, she pulled a small Force shield in front of her as she ran out from behind the cover, trying to attract the attention of [member="Tiali Orzaio"]. She ran towards him, but did her best to stay behind either those were already AMBERED, hovercraft, or something that would block any direct shot. Whether she was successful in this was a whole other story. Maybe if she made enough of a ruckus, his and his goons attention would be turned to her. It might give Caedyn enough time to weave through the crowds and get to Lady Kay. And maybe give [member="Dax Fyre"] or [member="Petria Breguet"] enough time to figure some type of plan out. Secretly, she just hoped she could give Caedyn enough time to get to Lady Kay and somehow be safe, whether it was realistic or not.

She kept her connection to the Force as strong as she could, allowing her free hand without the shield to crackle with the emerald colored electricity. Just in case. "Hey! You jerk hats! I'm Mand'alor the Infernal's daughter! And General Kaine Australis's daughter!" She yelled as loudly as she could. She was throwing out names that he or the others might recognize, as people with power. She hoped it would get his attention in some way - they were powerful people, at least in Mandalorian space. Whether he knew or even cared was a whole 'other story, but still. The goal was to distract and she hoped that her running around with a bright, white colored 'shield' and yelling at them would get their mind at least somewhat off the others - or at least Caedyn, who was running to get to his mom still.

Dax's retaliation called for a quick response lunging to the side he activates his jetpack in a burst flames behind him he narrowly dodges one of the slugethrower shots, but the other he wasn't so fortunate being armor piercing the rounds it slices across his durasteel chest plate leaving a newly formed grove across it. Tiali grunts almost losing control mid air from the impact, spinning he quickly regains control as he fly's towards [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"] and [member="Caedyn Arenais"]. Hoping to put himself closer to his new targets and further from this annoying Jedi knowing that the said distance probably wont last long anyway, but hopefully give Tiali more cover for the short time he needs it.

Disengaging his jetpack he has a close to a controlled fall he rolls onto his shoulder and back onto his feet close to Beth. Quickly regaining his posture he looks between the two Beth and Caedyn, smoke still coming off his newly damaged chest plate. He stabs his sword into the ground underneath him freeing his hand, "Probably should have listened to her kid she seems to have her head screwed on, and that's a very pretty force thingy."

He understands the fact that she is trying to steal his attention but he also thinks if he purposely takes the bait it may drag lover boy back here. Though there always seems to be a type of.... energy that force users forget about. Aiming his wrist mounted sonic pistol at Beth he takes two shots firing a duo of a concentrated mass of sound towards his target. Tiali knows that the sound will upon impact disorientate but even if it doesn't hit the sound should break concentration making it hard for Jedi's to use their force powers. After the use of his sonic pistol he raises his Amber pistol emptying what's left of the clip at Beth.

His HUD continues to scan the area around him ready to warn him of oncoming enemies or fire to help him in situations such as these.

The Reaper of Won Shasot
Dax swore as the man managed to slip out of range of Dax again. Unfortunately for the Rogue, he'd drawn the attention of a few of the bad guys, all of them firing their peculiar weapons at him. Luckily for him, he wasn't alone. One of the three assailants dropped to the ground, a blaster burn in his chest as Halzyn fired several more shots at the the remaining two, dropping the other. Dax poked out from behind his tree and fired a round into the last before chasing after the man again, firing a sonic something or another at two teenagers, one of whom was holding a saber. The Rogue swore as he sprinted after the man shouting, "Hey!"

As soon as Dax was close enough, he leapt high into the air, assisted by the Force to get that extra distance he needed. The Rogue knew he was exposed, in the air like this, a prime target for anyone with a ranged weapon, but that was the point. Dax needed to draw the man's attention from the teens to himself.

To boldly alchemize what no one alchemized before
So [member="Dax Fyre"] was attempting a distraction in an attempt to buy time for [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"] and/or [member="Caedyn Arenais"] to safety while [member="Skosk Australis"] was taking cover? It could only mean one thing: Petria had to get to safety, and not simply behind a barricade made up of AMBERed people. No. She had to return to [member="Mavarah"] and quick; Mavarah is the one that was left behind for their getaway needs. I hope that Mavarah actually can fly in a getaway capacity; then again I do not trust Terrance to actually solve the crime problem on this planet, even if he had an actual electoral platform to run in a legitimate recall election, or even a fraudulent one, she thought, while knowing that electoral frauds are typically harder to detect if the candidate that used fraud actually had a legitimate platform and made a good-faith effort to run a campaign. But she took haste to take a cab, ultimately shared with a few panicked bystanders, up to the spaceport where Mavarah seemingly awaited - and, in fact, a good portion of the cabs in this city were taken up by the panicked bystanders that were yet to be caught in AMBER. Plus the poor Petria had a feeling that the Bes'solegot would be filled with panicked residents.

In most situations like this, you would hope that by telling someone to stay behind cover where it's safe or otherwise find a break and run for their lives, that they might actually seek to try and better their situation by listening and then fleeing at the first available opportunity...Right? Apparently [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"] didn't agree. Rather than listening to his wish for her to remain out of harms way, she went and did the complete opposite, calling out to their supposed opposition and declaring herself the next in line for Mandalore's throne (if they did things like Commenor did things, anyway...-Honestly, Caedyn didn't know with those people).

Throughout all the Chaos, it had been difficult to know exactly who was to blame for all of this. As it turned out, the one good thing about Beth's recklessness was that Caedyn had a clear view of [member="Tiali Orazio"] who looked to be targeting her, yet goading and trying to bait him away from [member="Lady Kay"]'s position. What a mess, caught between getting to his Mom whom he had no idea if he could even free her from that stuff or falling back to try and protect Beth from this guy with the Amber Rifle, or whatever weird looking blaster it was.

'Sorry Mom, at-least you're not going anywhere...'.

His boots skidded along the surface of the permacrete floor, catching the loose stone that had been loosened during the rioting, Caedyn soon and swiftly maneuvering to turn himself back in the direction he'd come from, now moving with far less caution and a great deal more urgency as he sought to catch up with this Tiali Orazio. He couldn't place the man's familiarity but there was definitely something about the guy that struck Caedyn as though he'd run into him before. The guy's comment regarding Caedyn's lightsaber would be met with a response from his Side-Arm, set to Burst-Fire mode and armed with Turadium bullet points for maximum penetration they were designed to put down the largest of threats; quite frankly, this was the first time Caedyn's heart had been lodged in his throat to such a degree of panic that he'd ever resorted to their use.

Three rounds screamed out of the pistol in high velocity each time he pulled back against the trigger, the slugs not like those of standard blaster rifles, they went unseen and unable to be deflected by the likes of lightsabers. The burst-fire modification meant that his Silencer and Laser were not able to be used, this also meant that the noise of each shot was let off with a deafening roar for the lad whom acted more upon instinct than thought. Still he moved to sprint towards Beth, his precision shaken by his need to get to her as quickly as possible, though the closer he got to her, the better his chances were of hitting their foe.

Finally.
A chance to stretch my ligaments.
An unassuming civilian shuttle blasted over the battlefield, engines roaring like a mighty predator. It landed amid the battlefield, surrounding the battle unfolding around the ambered body of [member="Lady Kay"]. With a metallic k-thunk, it opened it's rear cargo bay, dispensing four unarmed thugs, wearing bandanas and medical aprons. They filed out, one after the other, pushing a hover platform.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
"Finally."
A hulking, brutish form stepped from the shuttle. Plate armor, welded and thick, rose eight feet into the air, making small indentations into the dirt below it's feet. Attached to one arm, an enormous blaster gattler, in the other, an AMBER pistol. The hulking figure laughed when he saw the frozen prize, and his mirth only grew when he saw the carnage and battle around him.
"Get the asset onboard," the figure rumbled reluctantly, and the thugs began loading the payload onto the hover platform.
He activated his laser gattler, and began spraying fire across the battlefield indiscriminately, hitting remnants of the police and his own men alike. A maelstrom of blaster fire, and at the epicenter, the terrible, grating sound of Simultas laughing.
As if he had received the best Life Day present of his life.

Beth made it behind a hovercraft. She breathed hard. Her mind raced with the possibilities of what to do next. What could she do? [member="Skosk Australis"] was trying to get to them, but was just a little too far away. [member="Petria Breguet"], unlike Beth, had the sane sense to get the kark out of there. [member="Dax Fyre"] was doing his best to take down the guy too, but with a bunch of henchmen all trying to get at them, it was hard to get to the main bad guy.

She saw [member="Tiali Orazio"] using his jetpack and flying towards her. Well, her plan kinda worked, at least. She sent a message through her comms to [member="Caedyn Arenais"] once she was behind one of the scattered hovercraft, "If they weaponized it, they have a way to undo it. You gotta find out how to get it, you'll have better luck than me at finding it." At least, Beth hoped that the criminals had a way to undo the AMBERED state. It didn't make sense to Beth for them to weaponize something without a cure. She knew that organizations had created such biological weapons without cures before, but Beth solely focused on the positive. Surely, they had to have a cure! Beth couldn't believe otherwise. And Caedyn probably had a lot more resources open to him than Beth did - like his own ship, for example.

"Probably should have listened to her kid she seems to have her head screwed on, and that's a very pretty force thingy."

She ran out again, trying to find a way to get a good target on him as well as keep his sight away from the people who were armored & more equipped to attack him. On the plus, side, though, at least he complimented her. There was always a bright side, even in the direst of circumstances! Granted, he probably didn't mean it but still. She had noticed the way he landed, along with aiming his arm towards her.

Beth felt the two waves hit her body, hard. She stopped running almost immediately. The sudden vertigo made her realize that it was only seconds before she would be AMBERED. Her body was trying to realign itself, reorient. The world was spinning. She took a deep breath, trying to reorient herself but sent a quick message to [member="Yasha Mantis"] and [member="Kaine Australis"].

"Mom, Dad, I love you."

And just like that, the AMBER bullet hit her. She was standing straight, although it looked as though she was trying to regain her balance. In less than a second, her body was encased in the AMBER substance. Her mind was only aware for a few seconds afterward. She could only hope that Caedyn would get somewhere safe and find a way to get [member="Lady Kay"], herself and the others out of this mess. Maybe with Skosk and Petria's help. And hopefully, her parents got her message, just in case, it would be the last thing she would ever be able to say to them. Seconds later, her consciousness faded. Darkness.

His hands move like a blur with speed quickly reloading the Amber pistol dropping the empty clip on the floor, afterwards looking over to his last target he was firing at providing the proof of his success. Releasing a sigh "Unfortunately for you, your head wasn't screwed on tight enough." finishing the reload his HUD lights up with warnings noting Jax's advance on this position behind him and highlights Caedyn in the distance.

Spinning around tearing the sword out of the ground as he does so he sighs seeing Jax's approach by air "By the stars you're a persistent bugger aren't you." Raising his sword almost ready when the loud sound of Caedyn's weapon interrupts before he can look the round hits his sword shattering it in half, most shrapnel thrown out to his side some stabbing into his forearm. The next round skimming his shoulder while another narrowly missing him, grunting in pain he releases a curse before shakily raising his pistol firing off a couple shot's towards Caedyn in retaliation just before raising his probably what can be now considered a short sword ready to block Jax's incoming lightsaber.

Ready for the incoming duel he assumes Caedyn isn't cruel enough to fire into a close quarters fight with the possibility of hitting a person seemingly on his side. With that in mind his focus turn's to the fight soon to be at hand concentrating on his defense stance rather then offence.

And hey guess who's here big boy [member="Simultas"] finally decided to join the fun even knowing his shot were indiscriminate and close to Tiali's area probably already more helpful then the guys he supplied so win in Tiali's books.

For the first initial moment of transition from unconsciousness to the reality which had taken over the park, Marina awakened to what she thought was a new morning.
Quite comfy awakening from what she thought was sleep... wrapped up in a warm blanket too-
Wait!...what the hell was grass doing in her bed?!

The cool smell of green grass which she suddenly found herself laying on, opened her eyes wide open. She were sprawled out on a lawn?...and about that comfy blanket...a cloak?! Where the frak was she?!
The sounds of what she slowly became attuned to, which followed her initial belief of waking up to a new morning having left her holo-monitor on playing some action movie was in actuality real.
The sudden rush of her last recollection of what had transpired made her sit up, dispensing with the cloak that she had been covered with ( [member="Tiali Orazio"] cloak), flicking it off her as she shockingly realized her surroundings.
They had gotten worse!

Before her lay not just [member="Lady Kay"] 's Ambered tomb, but many more!. It was like she were in the midst of monuments... graveyard monuments! And they seemed to be the lucky ones.
In horror her eyes were witnessing the atrocity of the others who had escaped the Amber, but had been cut down by what had obviously been blaster fire. They seemed to be a varied of people...some security from before. They lay there between the Ambered and herself..all dead. There was no coming back for these unfortunate souls.

And then the full scope of her situation came in full blaring stereoscopic reality. The clear sound of what her full consciousness was now picking up.
"Oh my God!.." Marina was still on her butt looking about her, not knowing where the blaster fire was coming from, nor who or what was behind all that were happening around her.
The many that were Ambered, like tall tombstones in actuality was providing cover, unbeknownst to her. What had initially saved her from being Ambered like the many around her, and saved her from being shot indiscriminately, had indeed been Tiali's cloak. That man who Ambered [member="Lady Kay"] had for one reason or another thrown his cloak over Marina when she had lost consciousness. Now, it were the Ambered mounds that were hiding her from whomever was massacring everyone in the park.

And with the sound of blaster fire suddenly seizing, came the sound of engines descending not to far from her. Had the authorities finally broken through this madness and had come down to rescue survivors?..her too?

Marina crawled weakly to see. It was a daunting task to even do that, for she had to go around the many dead... but she had no choice. Marina didn't even realize she were in tears as she made it to one of the Ambered entombed peering around to see what exactly was that craft. Something was telling her to stay down..stay small and hidden. And she did, for many times her intuition served her right...saving her ass countless times.

"Who the frak-..." It wasn't a rescue team. They were not friendlies at all and what came out of the ship certainly struck even more fear in her heart. It was a monster!
Not so much by the looks of the giant, but by his indiscriminate enjoyment of laying strafe, decimating anyone in his line of sight.
"Ahg...oh God..." Marina closed her eyes, turning away, well hidden behind one of the Ambered.
But not before catching a glimpse of some poor girl ( [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"] ) getting gassed to then suddenly be encased in hardened Amber.
Marina suppressed her scream, as the blaster rounds were not only heard but then felt on her back. She had turned away and pressed herself up with her back to the Amber and the source of the blaster fire. The blaster fire made a few strafe rounds across from her and she could see it's searing impact on the ground, then on the Amber behind her and then once more on the ground as it moved away. She plainly was one lucky girl, as the beast ( [member="Simultas"] ) continued for a few more rounds of killing anything that seemed to move...indiscriminately. Lucky that she was well hidden behind his line of sight behind one of the Ambered victims.

Like flies. Mortal bodies drop like flies.
It is truly a shame they also fester like maggots.
Simultas glared at [member="Tiali Orazio"] through the helmet of his armor, trying to project his disgust at the being. He didn't like hired help. The fact that Tiali had done such a good job at acquiring [member="Lady Kay"] for him only made him more angry. He wished he had a reason to kill the man.
Sadly, he didn't.
"You live today, Mercenary," his voice projected across the battlefield, at Tiali and his fighting partners, [member="Caedyn Arenais"] and [member="Dax Fyre"]. "Everyone else here dies, but you live. A gift from me to you." More hideous laughter.
The hidden [member="Marina DeVoe"] was nearly trodden upon as the workers lifted the AMBERed Royal onto the hover platform, and began escorting the expensive cargo onto the shuttle. They hadn't quite made it on yet, but the situation was quickly becoming dire.
For anyone facing Simultas, that is. The Gen'dai himself was having a blast.

The Reaper of Won Shasot
The booming and rather sinister voice of another man echoed as Dax's saber collided with his target's broken blade, sparks flying off it, alighting their faces with an orange glow. "Your a persistent bugger aren't you?" Damn straight he was. The Rogue had had a lot thrown at him, and he was still standing, all due to being as stubborn as a mule.

The Rogue pushed his saber against the man's sword, blades locking in a duel. Dax knew he wouldn't win this on strength alone. But thankfully, he wasn't aiming to win a blade lock duel. The Rogue's right hand still held hi slugthrower, and the Rogue pushed the barrel against the man's abdomen.

Right before his very eyes Caedyn watched as [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"] was hit by the Amber and quickly overrun, consumed by the stuff ! The shock of it all tore his concentration away from [member="Tiali Orazio"] who had nearly been sconned by one of Caedyn's blaster shots, apparently breaking his sword. The Force swelled within him as his emotions all churned up and were brought out of him in a desperate cry to reach her; "BETH!?" he called, stumbling mid-run and going full-front into the pavement, panic at it's worst. Those sensitive to the Force would feel the young boys unbridled power, his aura reaching out to everything and anything, his control lost from him in the moment of horror.

Picking himself up, clothes torn and his lightsaber having been disengaged, he scrambled as quickly as he could to reach her, encased within the gold-yellow rock or crystal formation, whatever hardened amber was. "Damn it, not you too !..." He exclaimed, slamming his left hand, hilt in hold, against the solid and immovable object now weighing far heavier than he had muscle to account for. His fear was evident in his eyes, seeking any sign that she still somehow lived, buried within the hardened shell. That fear turned feral as the realization quickly sunk in that there was little he could do to change what had happened; having lost both of them, his Mom and now his Girl, Caedyn turned to glare back at their aggressors, the ones responsible for all of it and in that particular glint the sun reflected the makings of the boy's first real experience and the embodiment of what Bogan meant to the Je'daii.

Hands down, his strongest weapon and tool on his person was the Bo Staff as it had been empowered with the very Force itself and had not yet failed in dealing with the greater threats that had come before him. Returning his Side-arm into the sleeve of it's holster and soon his lightsaber back upon the clip of his belt, the two rods were removed from the back of his leather harness and brought before him, fitted together in order to produce the full length Staff, thin and flexible yet too ever so powerful and with a presence of it's own. Turning to look towards the one nearest to them, while Tiali was seemingly caught up dealing with [member="Dax Fyre"], [member="Simultas"] was standing around talking and smirking something as fiercely ugly as he was.

The boy simply didn't think about it, the only person he had left in his life was [member="Loreena Arenais"], his twin-sister. Otherwise his family and his closest friend had been, in his mind or as far as he knew, killed by that Amber stuff. Perhaps [member="Asha Hex"] might have felt the change, though she were so far gone from the world he currently stood upon it was highly unlikely. The raw emotion of rage and loss drove the boy into a mad sprint towards the Goliath of a creature, bringing both hands to slide down upon the Staff and leash out, the rod bending from the momentum as he lept up at the massive target, the force carrying him high enough that he might have a chance of whipping Simultas across the face with the blunt-force weapon.

The orange gloom glowing over them with sparks flying off his sword to the ground between the two, Tiali's footing changes holding his stance better to continue the blade lock. While the blade lock is still holding he raises his pistol still in his hand shoving the Amber blaster into Dax's abdomen. Almost ready to pull the trigger when he stopped in his tracks glancing down viewing the situation.

The barrel of Dax's weapon rests on his own abdomen they both seemed to have the same idea. Tiali's finger starts to squeeze the trigger as he accepted the reality of the situation until firing the Amber round point blank range at Dax's abdomen. At the same time he tries to pull away from the fight, but all too late when the sound of Dax's weapon floods into Tiali's ears even knowing the barrel being silence it was still loud to Tiali.

Dax's round exits the barrel hitting off center to the side of Tiali's abdomen the round pierces straight through exiting out the other side along with a spray of blood. With solid thud he drops his sword onto the grassy ground, dropping to his knees his now free hand moves to his abdomen putting pressure on the open wound. Grinding his teeth as the sharp pain strikes his abdomen blood still leaking from his newly formed wound, this isn't gonna be fun for Tiali.

A challenger
Simultas growled when he saw [member="Caedyn Arenais"] approach. He boomed out the beginning of a threat. "You DARE..."
Whap!
Caedyn had been a bit quicker than Simultas had thought. The powerful staff cracked across his helmet, sending it flying away, revealing Simultas' face.
Two beady eyes, full of contempt and confidence. A toothy maw, gnashing horribly. Ears, folded down around his jaw. The remnants of a wound from the blow, stitching itself together before their eyes. And Simultas coud only smile, imagining the terror on the faces of his enemies.
"You dare..."
The Gen'Dai's other hand lashed out, the AMBER pistol appearing in the large mitts. He fired the dangerous weapon point-blank at the young Arenais, taking the gatler in his other hand, and firing in the direction of [member="Dax Fyre"] and the kneeling [member="Tiali Orazio"].
He'd said he would spare the mercenary. But he wouldn't care all that much if he accidentally killed him.

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
The AMBERED Kay was heavy, much heavier than one would expect. The four goons pushed and pulled, trying to dislodge it from the pavement to the awaiting hover platform. The pieces of AMBER that the goons were used to picking up were much smaller. "Get the CASM!" With [member="Simultas"] firing away, they knew that they couldn't get his help- not that they wanted to have it anyways. The man was a brute and would probably kill them for even asking.

The CASM device was brought out by one of the goons. He positioned it near the AMBERED Kay and powered it up. The electric current was clearly visable, and a melodic hum was created. "Get ready!!" The three goons moved away from the AMBER, all of them getting to the other side of it. Within a few seconds, a strong bolt of electricity jolted out of the device and hit the AMBER. Sound reverberated from the device, sounding much like a well amplified chord of an electric guitar. A crack appeared in the AMBER before it then exploded in a puff of yellow smoke. Kay was sent flying into the awaiting arms of the goons that caught her, stumbling back as they too were hit by the shockwave.

"Go! Go! Go!" Foregoing the hovering platform, one goon hoisted the unconscious Kay over his shoulder, while another carried the CASM device. The other two took up the rear as they all headed back towards the shuttle.

How much worse could it get?
The thugs which seemed to be in working with the horrid creature [member="Simultas"] had brought out to what looked like to Marina as another horrid weapon..or the same kind of Amber weapon that had enveloped Miller Park.
"Oh no..." She couldn't help but whimper those words to herself as the huge weapon...what those thugs had called out for, the 'CASM' was positioned and soon powered up. Marina didn't know whether to continue to stay hidden behind one of the other Ambered victims or make a run for it. She knew if she ran, that she'd most likely blow her cover and then blasted to pieces by that horrid monster...or whomever. It was difficult to know or even guess as to who was who and who were shooting at who or for what rhyme or reason. Nothing made sense. The park had gotten Ambered and just a moment ago when all Hell of Mastera broke loose, everyone was either shooting, blasted or Ambered. It was a melee!

"Frak.... Oh God...help me..." She shivered as the CASM suddenly fired, letting loose a bone tingling reverberation.
Marina was certain this was the weapon they must have used on the Park days ago. The individual Amber slugs they were shooting from smaller weapons may not have encapsulated enough victims. Not knowing if she should take a deep breath or exhale before the entire area would be encased in Amber, she did neither and just closed her eyes wrapping her hands tightly around her knees as she tightened up into a smaller sitting fetal position.

The sound of electric plasma along with the smell of ozone would certainly bury her deep inside the Amber any second now...

...any second now...

Uhm...was she inside the Amber and didn't know it?...the sound had stopped and so did the vibration.
Marina dared try to move her head, raise it maybe to see?

Oh hell yes, she could move. And no, to her relief, she wasn't encapsulated in the Amber. If she wasn't hurt, as far as she could tell at the moment, then what was that CASM?..or what the frak did they get that ominous contraption out for and to do what?

Catching her first breath since the CASM was fired, she dared peek back around the Ambered victim she was hiding behind.

"Gasp!..." to her shock and still horror...although it was currently her only reaction; she couldn't believe her eyes.
[member="Lady Kay"] was out of the Amber!...unconscious..but out!
But who were these thugs and why did their leader, the horrid monster [member="Simultas"] first Ambered people, besides plainly blasting them with a rapid cycling repeater...to then free the Ambered?

Oh wait-
"What the-?" ...no, he wasn't freeing anyone. Not in the sense of saving them, no. The monster had freed Queen Arenais to only have his thugs retrieve her...no, kidnap her! It was clear, that aspect at least. They wanted the Queen...Cessy..her friend.
Marina couldn't understand why. Why all this to kidnap her? How could they even have guessed that the queen would even come to Mastera on account of the Amber?
And of the others? Would they use that CASM to set everyone else free too?...or would they leave them encased in Amber like that forever?...

Marina watched as the monster Simultas was engaged with some resistance. Who they were and if they were even good or some other underworld group...it was all still up in the air. But one thing was certain, they had Lady Kay and were bringing her on board the monster's ship.
Marina could do nothing but watch...Her eyes went from the thugs disappearing inside the ship with the queen, to the men, including the one who Ambered Lady Kay in the first place...to the other poor unfortunate souls that were still Ambered around her. Her tear soaked eyed could make out some faces. One was of a woman not much older than herself... [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"] , one of the unfortunate victims that had apparently been flash Ambered right there on the spot during the melee. Marina had been unconscious during the initial strike, following Lady Kay getting Ambered along with some others. It had been too much for marina and she had passed out from shock.

"So there is a device that can free people out of the Amber..." She then said, turning from the poor encased girl back to the ship which Simultas had dropped down from and where the CASM was. It was now adding up. The Amber was a weapon...and they had a means of freeing those encased in it. But what good would knowing this, if she couldn't do anything about it...or get that info to some good authority. It was difficult to know among the few still duking it out, who could be trusted....if she got up enough nerve to stop cowering under cover and maybe do something to help....

The Reaper of Won Shasot
The Rogue would've sworn if he could've as the heavy impact of the AMBER round struck him like a punch from a Zabrak. The AMBER acted quickly though, the orange material quickly forming and crawling over Dax's skin to encase him in crystalline tomb, a live mummy on display for everyone to see. The Rogue's brief moment of panic was somewhat quelled at the knowledge that he'd at least managed to dispatch his opponent. Although he couldn't move his head to look, out of the corner of his eye he could see the injured man kneeling on the ground, attempting to stem the flowing blood from his abdomen.

Taking a deep breath Tiali grinds his teeth together still holding his abdomen as he spots the incoming fire from [member="Simultas"] he grunts as he rolls behind Dax's Ambered figure blocking the shots flying in their direction. Pushing his back against the Amber he places his amber pistol on the ground freeing his other hand reaching to his head he slides off his helmet placing it on the ground next to him allowing him to breath easier for what come next.

Digging his hand into the grass ripping the first top layer off allowing easy access to the dirt underneath, taking a handful of the dirt he takes multiple quick breaths pumping himself up before then holding one deep breath just before removing the hand from over the wound. He then continued to pack the dirt into the wound releasing the breath shortly afterwards, grabbing more dirt his hand moves to his back repeating the process on the other side.

Knowing it's only going to help him temporarily with the addition to more work recovering later, but it will have to do for now. His bloodied hand takes hold of the Amber pistol the other grabs hold of his helmet sliding it back onto his head. The same hand falls to the ground pushing off helping as Tiali struggles to stand, releasing a almost regretful sigh he peeks around the corner waiting for Simultas to stop firing.

Once in the clear Tiali will leave the cover slowly approaching where this all started where the once frozen Lady Kay was.

Objective: Stop Amber at all costs

Auxiliary objective:Revenge

Much had happened since the warrior became cornered amber blasts constantly holding the protective berserker back from keeping beth'ika safe. To make things worse, Petria had completely abandoned them to their fate. This angered the horned demon more, the heavily armed monster firing at the distracted henchmen focusing on the screams of the pointy eared teen. Blaster bolts screaming of their death, something that was seemingly permanent as the amber substances effects. The five soldiers quickly falling to the harbinger of death, the t-visor of the individual searching for his endeared clanswomen.

Beth, was taken into the moment of no ending, she was ambered, her lover boy confronting the man behind all of this. The gaze of the hunter slowed, watching as the rogue jedi was also ambered. The motionless bodies of innocent victims littering the path to the vengeful mandalorian, the helmets sensors spotting the perpetrator. This being expected at the start, by the professional to be apart of this scandalous event, " YOUR MEN ARE DEAD AND YOU ARE NEXT !" . There would be no more crude wordings, no more jokes, things were serious, specifically with the future godmother of his child being asmbered before his eyes. The towering workhorse activate his jetpack, the roaring machinery carrying the powerful athlete into air once again.

Skosk not caring whether reinforcements would try and amber him,as Simultus was now threatening beth's "friend" , the hoax that was. The horned veteran dropping his heavy repeater , and now firing an electrical dart from his left arm at the wounded being. The rational side now gone as the giant entered a fitting rage, the blood crazed being planning on ramming the hireling into his employer. Despite all of this, the angered being said one hell of a line before impact. "Be prepared to say hello to mommy, you pathetic excuse of a gundark dropping.". The black and red armored battering ram speeding up for impact, the head of the aggressor lowering for contact. The vengeful vod wanting to hurt the already injured foe as much as humanly possible.

Should the Australis not be shot down, and the charge connect the two bodies would then head for Simultas. Giving a nice surprise to the seemingly victorious villain, the impact of the three bodies making a massive SMACK! as the bodies would collide. Each being shaking from such rough trauma, however the armor of Skosk would lessen the effect the gel and layered protect soaking up most of the force involved. What started out as an action to stop amber in order to protect the clans, has now become personal upon the harming of Beth, hopefully the two not being ambered before reaching the armed mastermind.

The goliath foe was quick to turn upon him with the Amber launching slug thrower of his, the blaster of immense and dangerous design turned Caedyn's way and sent him running upon the mere sight of it. Franticly he sprinted, veering off sideways to seek to circle the giant that [member="Simultas"] was compared to the lad while his bolts of Amber hit miscellaneous targets around him. Caedyn was swift upon his feet, his training within Stav Kesh had taught him to focus his physical energy, to harness and push his body to it's limits that he might bring out his full potential in any situation, most often dire and otherwise deemed necessary. There were of course short fallings, consequences of exhaustion that would come later if he were to survive all of this yet in the given moment he didn't have the time to afford such concerns.

[member="Skosk Australis"]' taunt hadn't fallen upon deaf ears though Caedyn was a little confused by it, he couldn't tell whether this 'Mommy' Insult was meant to be thrown his way or at the giant beast of a thing before them. A moment of doubt given the youth's startling age gap compared to all those who had been engulfed in the battle thus far. [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"] excluded of course.

The moments raced by faster than he could gather any tangible thought, his instincts launching the lad to pivot across fallen debris, using his momentum and speed to carry himself over obstacles that would otherwise hinder his evasion. By the time he reached the other side of his foe, Caedyn turned to notice a break in the large one's attack, possibly distracted by this Skosk friend of Beth's? Far be it for Caedyn to look a gift horse in the mouth. Bo Staff in his right hand, his left reached out for the Amber weapon that Simultas was holding, calling upon the Force in the hope of ripping the firearm out of the enemies hands and into his own; though he knew not whether his ability in Telekinesis would have the strength to pry it from the beasts grasp.
