A familiar inquiry, one that Korr had grown accustomed to over the years. However, the complexity of his journey to becoming a Jedi Knight remained a puzzle, one that he struggled to articulate fully. It was a narrative that danced on the fringes of comprehension, even in his own mind.

"I never underwent formal training within the confines of an official Jedi Order. Back on my home-world, I assumed the role of an unofficial apprentice to an aging Jedi. They imparted much of their knowledge to me." A soft smile played on Korr's lips as he reminisced about those simpler times, a period in his life that felt less entangled and bewildering.

"In truth, the title of 'Knight' is more symbolic for me; I've never received the formal knighting ceremony from a Jedi Council."

A subtle shift in position conveyed his self-awareness of veering into rambling territory. However, a spark of anticipation glinted in his eyes at the prospect of expanding his training and knowledge.

"Ah, I suppose a visit to that labyrinthine temple is in order next time. There's always room for growth, and I'm eager to see where the path of knowledge takes me."

Braze bristled at the notion of being sidelined, the suggestion to engage in less perilous activities chafing against his spirited nature. The idea of being perceived as fragile or incapable grated on him, igniting a fierce desier to prove himself beyond the constraints placed upon him. The limitations, always there in some form, now seemed magnified by his injured arm, casting a shadow of pity from others that he found unbearable. In defiance, he abandoned the sling that marked his vulnerability, opting instead to conceal his immobile arm in a pocket or wrapped within his coat, creating the illusion of normalcy.

As he meandered, absorbing the culture of his surroundings with a wandering half hearted interest, a familiar figure caught his eye. It was Vulpesen, or more precisely, the intriguing sway of his tail tip that captured Braze's attention. Driven by curiosity and a desire to learn more, Braze embarked on a subtle pursuit. He maneuvered with caution, aiming to shadow Vulpesen discreetly, hoping to uncover more about the man without drawing attention to himself.

"Well, if you did train, maybe the Council can make it official for you?"
Unless he felt not ready for the title yet, of course. But Vera knew that the Council - her parents - wouldn't deny him the rank of Knight if he had actually trained for it. There are many others in the Galaxy who become Jedi Knights in unusual ways, after all.

Some from the past, even.

"I'll ask my Mom to meet with you, then." Vera smiled when he seemed open to learning and figured her parents would be able to help out a lot. But with that said, her eyes turned to the Bazaar again and she started to wonder.

"You want to go see what they sell here? What the people here are like?"

"Hmm, the idea of petitioning for a meeting with the council never crossed my mind. Official knighthood could unlock numerous opportunities for study and adventure." The mere contemplation of the possibilities — the potential for exploration, encounters with new cultures, and the acquisition of knowledge , kindled a profound sense of wonder within Korr's soul.

"That would be greatly appreciated. It's been a considerable while since I last set foot in the Temple, and I must admit, I'm quite directionally challenged within its labyrinthine corridors." While expressing gratitude with a small bow, Korr's attention shifted toward his original destination.

"Sounds like it could be quite enjoyable; I'm genuinely curious about the offerings on this planet." A light smile graced his lips, reflecting his anticipation of diverse cultures and experiences laid out before him. He made a subtle gesture toward the bustling bazaar.

"Shall we?"

In the highlands of AMAR...
OBJECTIVE III: BYOO...

"I knew I sensed a familiar presence," Elias said with a kind smile as he approached the Arch Wilder. He followed the Force through the woodlands, taking a brief detour from his meditative walk to explore what it was the mystic guide wanted him to find. Or in this case, who.

Not only had he caught up to Vulpesen Vulpesen just in time to greet him, but also to witness him conjuring flowers. Elias nodded to the bouquet with interest. "I wish I could do more with plants," he said. "More than tend to them, I mean."

"I've always been fascinated by the way the Force flows through flora and fauna. I recently learned how to manipulate more advanced plantlife, but I fear it was in a defensive capacity rather than nurturing..."

He shuddered, thinking of the way he relied on plant surge to rend Drengir from their hosts on a recent mission with Nathan Bloodscrawl Nathan Bloodscrawl to Kenari. Those monsters were a grotesque hive he wished he could forget. His eyes drifted from the Wilder to the grave stone, which stood out like a sore thumb amidst the forested hills surround them. Elias gestured to it with reverent curiosity.

"Who've you come to visit, if you don't mind my asking."

The woman straightened herself up, her arms slipping behind her back as she clasped her hands together. She was hoping that the pirates wouldn't show, that it was nothing more than a bold claim, and that the annoyance could be overlooked; however, she knew better and wasn't willing to just ignore the possibility that Amar was in danger. She couldn't ignore that possibility of danger given the recent events that had unfolded in the Galaxy as Yavin had fallen to an undead horde and the Galactic Alliance had barely held at Celanon, even pirates had to be taken seriously.

"We've had no contacts yet Master Jedi Noble, though I expect we will find out soon enough. For now, keep with Cobalt and Onyx squadron, I'm sure they wouldn't mind the company."

It was the silence that would usually drive an individual to insanity, the dullness of nothing to do beyond waiting without a means to occupy oneself. Even though, it was something that Amelia would prefer, a dull patrol and holding pattern above Amar, though it was not in the cards, not that day. The first alarm screeched to life as the pirate vessels arrived above Amar, seemingly already deploying their contingent of snub fighters; with her attention pulled fully towards the pirates, it was time to go to work.

"This is Captain von Sorenn of the ANS Nighthawk, all forces prepare to engage the enemy formation. ANS Morning Star and ANS Arcturus, focus on those escort corvettes. Cobalt and Onyx Squadron will handle the snub fighters."

With the orders sent, Amelia would focus her full attention on the flagship, an older Imperial vessel, though still likely to pack a punch of its own. She had full confidence in her forces and their officers; anticipation grew slowly within her as she had also been wanting to see just how capable of a Starfighter the Jedi Master was, and this situation provided the perfect means. With a soft smirk upon her lips, she motioned towards the flagship, giving the order that would begin to seal its fate.

"Gunners, bring up the Ion Cannons and focus fire on their weapon systems. When their weapons have been knocked out, that'll be the sign for the Gunships to begin their run."

  • ANS Morning Star and one squadron of A-wings engaging first Foray-class
  • ANS Arcturus and one squadron of A-wings engaging second Foray-class
  • ANS Nighthawk engaging Flagship with Ion Cannons
  • Gunships holding in reserve

"Don't worry, you'll find your way." Vera chuckled and offered a supportive smile. "The Council will do what they can to help!" She'd always trust in not just her parents, but the others on the Council too. Jasper, Amani, the scary librarian lady... they all had their expertise and experience.

Korr would be in good hands.

"This town is visited a lot by beast charmers," Vera said as they started walking. She had pulled out a little notepad — a handwritten one, rather than a datapad — and looked over her notes of this place. "They go into the wilds and work with the animals there. So, this Bazaar will probably sell the stuff they use!"

As expected, the jewelry and wooden staves they had were everywhere.

"I think I'd like to get some earrings. To remember this planet and maybe to gift a set to my sister." Vera grinned a little. Colette Colette would totally love some earrings related to people who charmed animals, right?

Given a thankful bow in thanks for the support "I am eager to meet the council members, even if my situation is beyond help, the experiences that they offer alone would make the trip worth it".

Matching the others walking speed, Korrs attention would shift from one stall to the next, intrigued by every item on display. "A lot of interesting trinkets on offer."

Musing slightly , a soft smile played at his lips "The concept of 'Beast Tamers' is such a captivating idea, though if its gifts you are looking for this place sure offers a lot to choose from."

"My talents were always better with fauna than flora," Vulpesen had murmured in response to Master Edo's compliment, his hand raising to idly stroke Ace's head. It took a moment for Vulpesen to register that Edo's continued speech meant that he wouldn't be leaving him alone, though that didn't mean that the intrusion to his solitude was unwelcome. Merely, unexpected.

The jedi's last question caused Vulpesen to straighten his posture a bit before he cleared the catch from his throat. "Zarro Verres. Former Senator of Amar for the Galactic Republic, and CEO of the Verres Trading Company." There was pride in his voice as Vulpesen placed his hand once more on the stone. "Before anyone else, I called him Master. In truth, I probably should have called him father. My parents left me with him shortly after I was born. He raised me to see both sides of the cred-coin." His sad smile took a wry turn. "Then he taught me to snatch that coin before anyone else had a chance." His tail swished as he turned and headed off, back towards civilization, a large building built at the edge of the wood.

"I think he'd have liked you lot. He wasn't a jedi. Always said he was too greedy. But I think he'd be happy to see that he wasn't wrong to let me run off to the order."
He looked up at Elias, happy that his golden eyes would help throw off the redness caused by what tears had watered the grass by the old Amaran's resting place. "Nice to see that even after experiencing a bad tree, the orchard can still bear plenty of good fruit."

<Understood, Captain.>

That was all she needed to say before joining up with the two squadrons Amelia designated. They'd more than likely be used to protect the fleet against other small craft — Valery's specialty. Her X-wing did possess some heavier weaponry to engage larger ships, but her true skill was in dogfighting. Keshians and their unique eyesight have often been credited to be good pilots, after all, and Valery's connection to the Force added to it.

It didn't take long for trouble to arrive. An opportunity to show off that skill.

The Captain immediately called out orders via comms and Valery formed up with her squadron. Not as its leader, but in support. It'd hopefully add to the surprise of one fighter standing above the rest.

A chance to overwhelm.

<Master Noble, standing by.>

Her S-foils locked in attack position and along with the rest of the fighters and interceptors around her, Valery moved forward to engage the snub fighters. Her heavy cannons opened up, and with the Force aiding her concentration and precision, she began to fight her way through enemy ranks.

Pirate Flagship: Ardent II Class Fast Frigate
Pirate Escort: Foray Class II Blockade Runner [x2]
Pirate Fighter Core: Pirate Snub Fighters

"Battle Formation...Ahh.....Alpha 2 Quadrant!"

As the Pirate Squadron closed in on the Galactic Alliance Task Force's defensive line, Karkosuchus took a moment to survey the holographic projections on the bridge of the Imperial Ardent II Class Fast Frigate.

Despite not having any prior experience as a commissioned military officer, the Anointed/Trandoshan Bounty Hunter found solace in the wealth of knowledge available in books like "Naval Guide for Dummies," authored by an Imperial Admiral under the New Imperial Order/Empire. It proved to be an invaluable resource in the current situation.

Glancing at the guide from time to time as the battle unfolded, The Alliance deployment caught his interest, especially the swift movements of the ANS Morning Star and ANS Arcturus, the Kota Class Corvettes, as they raced to intercept the Pirate's Foray Escorts. Although the Foray's were primarily designed for blockade running and supply deliveries, they seemed to possess formidable strength in the hands of a skilled tactician.

Their opponents, on the other hand, were of a different make, unfamiliar to the Bounty Hunter. However, it was evident that their bridge section was left vulnerable, inviting a direct assault.

"Foray Class Escorts; this is Captain Croc speaking. Use your Medium-Point Defense Systems to engage the enemy squadron of starfighters; while focusing your frontal firepower on their bridge section." The order was sent out by the communication's officer to the command bridges of the Forrys as they concentrated their frontal batteries on bashing through the bridge section of the ANS Morning Star and the ANS Arcturus.

"Have the Ardent II take evasive action using our high maneuverability, and send them a volley of heavy turbolaser fire downrange to bombard their shielding. We will use our speed advantage once we get closer" The second order was issued to the bridge crew of the Ardent II Class Fast Frigate as the vessel began to take evasive action to avoid some of the Ion Cannons currently attempting to penetrate their weapon-systems. Green turbolaser blasts would soon follow as a counter offensive.

The Skills of Valery Noble Valery Noble did not go unnoticed by the
Pirate Snub Fighters as they engaged both the enemy fighter squadrons and the formidable x-wing variant. Deciding to draw the jedi master back towards the anti-starfighter defense system of the Foray Classes.

"Nobody is beyond help,"
Vera said as she turned to him. "My Dad was born as prince to the Sith Emperor. Now, he's the Shield of the Jedi - one of our most respected Jedi and a Council Member." Vera was obviously very proud about Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble , her father. She always tried to learn as much from him as she could, and she had made it very clear that she wanted to be like him as much as possible.

She wanted to be a shield for others, too.

"I just want to get the earrings for my sister. She loves animals, so I think she'll like this." Vera smiled again and walked over to one of the vendors to purchase a set.

"Would you like to stay here? Or maybe try to find these beast charmers in the wild?"

"Your father appears to be quite amiable. Transitioning from one side of the Force to the other must have gifted him with some truly intriguing tales."

As he examined one of the staves, a hum escaped his lips. "It's fascinating how these are used to tame the beasts of this world—a curious and mystical skill set, to be sure."

Korr shifted his attention to his traveling companion, stating, "Caring for one's family and their interests is a commendable trait." He moved away from the stall, casting a glance toward the bazaar's exit.

"That sounds like a well-thought-out plan. Experiencing the wonders firsthand is undoubtedly the best way to discover what this planet has to offer."

Braze spotted his chance, moving with the stealth of a shadow as he edged closer. With a concentration that belied his usual demeanor, he used the Force to gently levitate a pair of bells, tied together with a red cord, through the air. His movements were deliberately slow and careful, ensuring not a sound was made prematurely. He fashioned a slipknot loop and looped it over the tip of Vulpe's tail. Once secured, he tightened the knot swiftly with the Force, letting the bells drop to mark his presence before he quickly retreated behind the nearest tree and bush for cover.

It was a mischievous prank, exploiting a moment of vulnerability as Vulpesen Vulpesen mourned a loss. This was an opportunity to achieve a 'clean' catch in their ongoing game of cunning and stealth.

"My Dad is the best,"
Vera said with daughterly pride and a smile to match it. The Order was full of amazing Jedi, her Mom included, but she looked up to her father the most. He was the kind of Jedi that she wanted to be.

Looking back at the Jedi Knight, Vera began to chuckle a little — he was extremely formal and polite with the way he spoke and addressed her. Not uncommon for the Jedi, but perhaps a little unusual for the Jedi of this era. Most started their training later or had very unorthodox journeys that led to them being Jedi.

Few were still raised and trained since they were a youngling.

"Alright, but you'll have to lead the way. I'm only a Padawan."

"I might need to seek his counsel the next time I return to the temple."

Korr's focus shifted to observe a group of patrons passing by, captivated by the diverse cultures and varying perspectives. It was such a captivating thought process that his attention was abruptly drawn back into the realm of the living.

"Oh, I will strive to guide us along the correct and safe path." Shuffling in place before heading towards the exit of the Bazaar, maintaining a steady pace. "This planet appears peaceful, though if you look closely, there is some form of unrest simmering across the land."

The sudden chime from behind him alerted Vulpesen instantly that something was wrong. peeking around himself, he saw the most unusual sight of bells tied to his brush of a tail, a twitch of his tail causing another chime from the bells. The second odd sight was the swiftly retreating Braze who was attempting to hide themselves in the nearby foliage. That little... A hand rose as he focused on the tree closest to the jedi. When running from a wilder, using natural cover was not the best of ideas.

Branches shifted and lengthened into wood covered vines before diving down at Braze, attempting to pluck the young jedi from the ground and hoist them into the air. "Excuse me a moment," he said to Elias before heel turning to stalk towards the tree line, a hand reaching behind him to untie the ribbon of bells around his tail.

Braze let out a startled squeal as he attempted to dodge, duck, and weave to outmaneuver the trees, gaining a few close calls but unable to evade them forever. Although he was slippery and quick prey, he was ultimately caught. One vine caught hold of his ankle, and his world was flipped upside down. He squeaked and squawked, flailing about, not liking being inverted by the overgrown plants. "By the light! Damn it! Let me go!" he demanded, using his free boot to kick at the vine entrapping his ankle.

Sauntering over to the captured padawan, Vulpesen swept his tail in front of himself to untie the ribbons of bells. "Running from a wilder by running into the wilds. Brilliant idea padawan Braze." With each struggle, Braze would find another vine simply dropping down to loop across a new limb, strapping it down to increase his imprisonment. Walking closer, he took the opportunity to simply wrap the ribbon around Braze's leg. "Good usage of distraction an opportunity though, if a bit cold hearted."

Struggling fiercely against his leafy captors, Braze's movements became more frantic and determined. He kicked out with his free leg, his foot connecting with the encroaching vines with force, even as his teeth sought to tear at the stubborn tendrils that ensnared him. His hand, too, was not idle; they clawed at the greenery, fingers digging into the earthy flesh of the plants in a desperate bid for freedom. Each movement was marked by frustration and resolve, as Braze refused to accept his bound state passively. The vines, relentless in their pursuit to bind him further, met his aggression with equal tenacity, but Braze's spirit was undeterred, fueled by a mix of indignation and the primal urge to escape. "Okay, okay, you got me this time! But remember, payback's a cycle, and I'm already plotting my next masterpiece!"
