The Empire had had a fairly calm period for months, that is, since they had won against the Sith Empire during the invasion. Since then, the rebels have been able to strike back at them once. But this day, this evening is not about that. Now the other side of politics and business was important and came to the fore.

Money, luxury and glamor also have a place in every Empire. The Eternal Empire is no exception. As is usually the case in the Empire, it was the Vexillium, or Vex, that brought luxury and glitter to the inhabitants of the Empire. This time, however, they were determined to take some unexpected action.

They held a grand opening party on their recently purchased luxury ship. Where underworldly people, rich, nobles, were invited from all parts of the Galaxy. Of course, anyone else could go have fun or even discuss business matters. In order not to violate any law, the Vexillium luxury ship named after the company was in neutral space next to the Eternal Empire. Arrivals were waiting here.

The ship was so large that thousands, or rather tens of thousands, could have had fun or lived at once. The ship itself was a luxury, no one could find anything better than this kind. At AMCO AMCO ‘s company, they knew exactly what the rich should impress. Because they wanted a huge party, the entry fee was also just a token amount that anyone could easily pay if they wanted to. Because they were in neutral space, anyone could come, be the enemy, or be a good friend.

Today, everyone could put aside their differences and worries, because everyone had only one task here. Have fun in immeasurable luxury. Today the Golden Hand was generous.

Objectives

Objective 1: The Ball
qpZKB6M.png
No one has anything other than to have fun in nightclubs, ballrooms. Food and drink are free, the music is lavish, there were countless places on the whole ship to entertain anyone who came here.

Objective 2: Gambling
vBT5cmK.png
The ship had not only ballrooms and entertainment venues, but also casinos. For those who didn’t want to spend their time dancing, dozens of casinos were also open to anyone who wanted to gamble there. And maybe, not always the house wins. Who knows who will be lucky during the evening.

Ingrid had arrived aboard the Vexillium a little earlier. Like the CEO of HPI, she had other things to do here than just have fun. Among other things, she had to meet Rip Sure. Tubrok didn't accompany her now either, the woman's husband stated emphatically that he would not go to a place owned by Vex and would be happy if Ingrid didn't go either. Well, the woman was here, alone.

The woman had known Vex leaders since she was a small child, including the one she met, so their relationship was a little deeper than just professional. Rather, it was such an uncle-niece relationship, thanks to the fact that Ingrid’s mother had a very good relationship with the management. They were already done with the discussion, but they were still talking a bit, no longer about the business, but about the topic of small talk.

“Well, I have to say, your lover’s company and I assume he also has a great taste for luxury stuff.” chuckled Rip Sure a little. “If Tubrok hadn't come tonight, you could have brought him with you.”

“We are at war with each other, at faction level, so close to the border of the Eternal Empire, I would not be able to defend him even with my power. But yes, his tastes are pretty much the same as yours, but since you’ve been to Tower Vandiir before, that may not be such a big surprise, Mr. Sure.”

She didn't say a word that AMCO AMCO was a shapeshifter now, so she could actually have come. There were things they didn’t need to know about. Kainan Wolfe Kainan Wolfe only recently inaugurated her in his plans, which still shocked her. She just wanted to drink herself down to the yellow ground so that there was no Force user nearby. Maybe tonight, though it wouldn’t have matched her rank in a place like this. Then home.

“But I don’t want to hold you up, go and have fun. I was glad to see you, and please tell your mother and husband that I welcome them.”

“At any time for Mom, but not Tubrok, you know how she would react. I was afraid the necks of Vex leaders. Maybe you should find your heads after it. Another nice evening, Mr. Sure.”

The man also said goodbye, and then Ingrid left the office. She wanted a drink, so moved to one of the nightclubs nearby. There was also a large dance floor here, lots of tables to sit on, not to mention the countless guests. Ordered herself a cocktail from the barista and sat down at one of the empty tables near the bar counter. From there she watched the crowd at the moment…

Objective: 1

Lori walked along one of the corridors of the luxury ship, ever mindful that there was a chance that she could be recognized, even while dolled up in a pretty dress, with her hair and make-up overly done.

But what did it matter if she was recognized? Kessia Miran Kessia Miran had already shown her what could happen if she didn't do as she was told. The only difference was that at least this way she had some manner of control. And if the Empire killed her in a bid to use her as an example to the Rebels? Well all the better. She'd become a martyr. Her family and friends would remain untouched.

Curtis Learchin Curtis Learchin had gone missing however. They were growing a Force Bond and for a brief moment, she had been able to hear him reach out to her from a vast distance. Yet now he was gone. Not dead, just...out of reach. Whether or not he had been taken by the Empire remained to be seen. And the only way for her to find out was to investigate and ask questions.

This was a good place for that.

Yet she recalled the broadcast by Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim ; one that nearly put up a reward for people to turn in anyone suspected of being part of the Eclipse Rebellion. And as Lori's face was associated with the Rebels own broadcasts and actions, there was the chance that someone would leap at the opportunity to claim the reward.

Caedyn Arenais would no doubt find her actions within the Rebellion to be reckless. But he was used to order and rules. Lori couldn't quite handle that. She tried. But it just wasn't who she was. Twins or not, they were different people. Yet that didn't prevent them from being close, despite the distance between them and the large gaps in between their communications.

Lori was used to going about things on her own. Improvising was one of her strongsuits. Tonight would be no different.

She walked over to one of the bars, a little taken aback by the amount of luxury displayed on board both in decor as well as the attire of the guests. So much credits that could be used to help others were instead being spent on a party. What a waste.

"Whiskey please." It was her late Dad's favourite drink. Lori started to get into the habit of having a glass of it once a week in his stead. The strong flavour of it certainly kept her awake and focused.

"It will be good for us to make our presence known. If you wish to attend, you have my leave to do so. And don't forget to put in a few good words with the people in charge for me."

The words still echoed in Sentiri's mind, accompanied by a greed-stained grin. Never had she been so irritated at a superior. She had always bristled at commands given to her. Sentiri was an independent thinker and doer, that was just how she operated. But never had a commander been so condescending and invasive and managed to get so far under her skin. Only Larz Blackheart, Cyber-Security Chief of the Corporate Authorities of Denon had that capacity. He had things that the Investigator wanted and that was enough to warrant his prying eyes and constant reminders of her position beneath him. Making her Commander of a CorpSec taskforce was just another reminder of how much he controlled her coming and going.

Still, the longer she worked for the man, the more she could plot his downfall. And that thought was a satisfying one; enough to help her forget the skin-crawling conversation and remember the reason she had taken this trip. After years away from each other, Sentiri was finally going to see her sister again. No one could thwart her joy at the reunion.

Sentiri had arrived via a dignitary shuttle with other people's foreign to the Eternal Empire. Truthfully, she hadn't had the chance to interact with the political organization to that point. But what little she had managed to dig up, her sister had been entitled a Baroness. If Karisa had devoted her time and effort to the group and they had rewarded her devotion with such a title, then Sentiri couldn't be happier. Even if their diverging paths had kept them apart for so long.

No, she reminded herself. It was your insistence that took you away. Just like you left Terminus. Just like you left...

She shook those thoughts away too. Today was a good day, and she would not spend it pitying herself for the decisions she had made. Standing at the entrance to the biodome, the lone Chiss woman waited for sight of her sister.

The trip from Verkuyl aboard Destiny's Flame to the hosted ball to be held aboard a luxury starliner in neutral territory between the Eternal Empire and the Agents of Chaos' border didn't take long, though Brask'ari'sabosen was uncharacteristically impatient to see her sister, Sabosen'tir'irokini. It had been far too long and so much had happened since their last sisterly in-person chat on Sposia at the Sabosen family estate located on the outskirts of Ch'avz.

If only we could roll back time...

The door behind her opened jostling Karisa out of her wistful thoughts and a short, dark-haired Verkuylian walked in. He cleared his throat discretely, then bowed his head. "Milady... The ship has arrived at our destination and your shuttle is ready when you are. And he is not here as of yet if you were wondering."

A pair of glowing red eyes flicked from the vanity mirror in Karisa's bedroom suite aboard the Chiss cruiser she used for diplomatic missions to the man standing there. The Baroness had bristled at first not having a Chiss for an assistant, but the local had been just the ticket to bridge a line of trust and communication between the citizens of Verkuyl and herself. Plus, the Verkuylian's slightly dry humor was growing on her, kinda.

"Thank you, Julio. Please tell the pilot I will be ready momentarily... and no, I was not, but it is good to know nonetheless," the Chiss noble answered her dutiful assistant with a curt yet appreciative nod, then she finished putting the back to her earing on before picking up her clutch purse and exiting the suite.

Hopefully, Malicar Malicar would attend. It would not be like the CEO of Interstellar Shipping to miss a social event such as this where opportunities for business and pleasure could be handled at the same time. The tall, dark, and handsome excelled at both, maybe a little too well in Karisa's opinion especially if the two were to proceed with her proposal. Though the final details of that arrangement were still a work in progress... One taking a bit longer to bring to fruition than she would like. Time was ticking and the Sabosen would not wait forever to secure her future and that of House Sabosen.
~*~
The Vexillium was impressive. Whomever the new proprietor was, they had chosen well. Karisa's crimson eyes quickly spotted Sentiri standing at the entrance to the biodome. She flashed a warm smile as their eyes met, then gracefully walked up to the other female Chiss.

"Salutations, dear sister. It has been much too long. I have missed you terribly," Ari greeted Sentiri sweetly in Cheunh, grabbing her hands and leaning in to give the older sibling by marriage a mock kiss to each cheek so a lipstick stain would not appear on the Chiss' blue-hued, dewy skin.

"You look absolutely divine, Tir. I love your dress. How have you been?" she remarked after taking a step back and eyeing her big sis.

“Hit me”, he held an average hand. The night had been going well, a nice pile of casino chips piled up around his cards, it was enough to not draw attention to himself but for Eldin to walk away with a profit. Old habits die hard, even when here at these celebrations to gain intelligence. The Eternal Empire, for the most part, had been keeping their nose out of the Outer Rim, but since Bespin, he wanted to get a little more oil on them.

A deft hand flicked the dealt cards, placing them among his hand before his eyes flicked to the rest of the table. The Force was coming in handy tonight, the emotions of those around him seated at the table, easy to read. One was bluffing without a leg to stand on, another to scared to up the ante, take a risk on a firm hand, another down on her luck and starting to grow desperate. Those are the dangerous ones.

He pushed a pile of chips into the centre of the table, enough to get at least the three players to fold, it was the fourth player sitting opposite to him, he could not ‘read’. Which intrigued him. Best poker face he had seen, and he could not sense them through the force, any attempt he made was blocked. Which of course, told him that they were a force user and probably doing the same thing he was. Manipulating the ‘table’.

He sat back in his chair and waited to see what the young girl's next move.

A whiskey on the rocks arrived to his side, he had to admit it was a good drop, as he took a sip.

The Vexillium, a vessel of pure luxury and opulence, drawing in the greats from the Eternal Empire and beyond. Upon arrival, it did indeed look the part, with every line as crisp and clear as polished argentum, everything looked bright and smelled as if one had sprinkled fresh perfume. it was...nausciating to a man like Credius, who had gotten used to the smell of grandeur and decadence to such a point that it disgusted him, he very much preferred the smell of sterile, clean spaces or the metallic smell you could find in the engineer's department of most of the facilities he controlled. Yet, even so, he had to endure the lavishness of his surroundings, as this was not just some party, but a challenge, a hunt. Yes, there was no doubt that this place would see more credits move from one's hand to another's pocket in a single evening than a laborer at his factories would earn in a decade. That alone was enough knowledge for the man to endure these obnoxious surroundings.

Asz he had done so almost continuously during his reign as Chancellor of the Left of the Zweihander Union, Credius wore one of his finest garments, with a red shell spider silk vest adorned with chromium clasps and cords, a black shell spider silk's pair of trousers, black lacquered leather shoes with black leather gloves to boot. With his Dolos amulet well hidden in one of his pockets, the Chancellor could comfortably walk around without shades, his eyes retaining their original silver-gray hue as his strength and depth within the force was cleverly hidden and suppressed.

The man found himself quickly being served an exquisite crystal of liquor, all the while moving on to the ballrooms the ship held within its bowels, quite intrigued to see what kind of people he'd find himself mingling with upon entry of the lavishly decorated hall, with the tones of brilliant musicians reaching his ears, Credius took a sip from his glass and looked around, his eyes eventually settling upon someone who looked rather out of place in her outfit. Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim , he had only briefly noticed her when he had been a guest and speaker at the Eternal Empire's hearings, yet at the time he had been wearing his armor and mask and she had been dressed in a militaristic outfit befitting her status within the empire.

Walking up close to her, the Chancellor made a graceous bow, which as expected of a man of his pedigree and position would not be misplaced in such a place of wealth and opulence. "Lady L'lerim, I had only seen you from a distance quite some time ago, but to see you up close now... I wish I had paid more attention," Slowly raising himself back to his full height, Credius looked down upon the woman with a gentle, yet somewhat faint smile on his face. Calmly, Credius took a seat at her table, completely ignoring the etiquette of requesting permission, crossing his legs and raising the glass he held in a salute to her health. "So...may I assume you to be busier than usual with the current situation of the Eternal Empire? I must say it would be quite a pity to see a woman of your talents and alure to work herself ragged."

Objective: The Ball

A cute pink dress and a pair of towering heels which were so high that they lent her a new perspective on life.

Surprising herself, Ivixa found that she enjoyed the extravagant attire very much, especially for someone who normally only wore armor, a uniform, or casual clothes. She could perhaps say the same for the event, which was full of society’s most noble, accomplished, and powerful, whether via merit, luck, or innate talent. For the first time in her life, Ivixa felt like a true princess, albeit of a dead empire that had existed in a world that was now reduced to an uninhabitable, irradiated wasteland. Any lands, armies, or great palaces that she would have been entitled to were now defunct or existed as burned out ruins, abandoned in the wake of a cataclysmic event that had indirectly created the circumstances of her entire life.

Nevertheless, given the slums she had lived in for almost all of her life, up until only a few weeks before, all she really needed to feel like royalty was the expensive pink dress, the towering heels, and a flawlessly applied makeup look. In addition, the matching pink colors of her dress and her lipstick created the perfect aesthetic for her, as one of the few ambassadors of the Agents of Chaos present at the high society affair. However, Ivixa was only there as a face. She had become somewhat of a minor celebrity within the Scintilla after her rousing HoloNet speech went viral, which she had delivered before the successful liberation campaigns on Rodia and Talay. Although she was primarily a Wild Huntress, she had been an ideal choice as an attendant for the more important Speakers of Discordia. Still, if people thought of her as nothing but a propaganda princess, she might as well look and perhaps even act the part.

Upon arriving at the Vexillium, Ivixa and the few Speakers she was accompanying, entered the ballroom after passing through security. While the Agents of Chaos were considered a terrorist organization by most large governments in the galaxy, one of the leading figures in the Eternal Empire maintained secret connections with them. As such, there was surprisingly little danger in openly affiliating with a purportedly terrorist group in Eternal Imperial space. Ivixa had initially been extremely surprised to hear of that, but her apprehension was quickly dispelled when security passed them through with only a flash of an electronic badge, while conversely subjecting many others to more intense scrutiny.

Now, with little else for her to do but to mingle, Ivixa moved towards one of the bars, guided through the crowd by a much taller Arsenian woman, who was acting as her personal guard for the night, even though Ivixa had insisted that she didn’t need one in spite of the fact that she was less than four-feet tall. However, she had to admit that it was much easier to navigate a crowd when she had someone big and imposing clearing the way for her comparatively small frame. Thanks to the towering Arsenian, she arrived at the bar relatively quickly and was helped up onto a too-tall stool by her guard, who then proceeded to lightly gesture to the bartender for a drink on her behalf.

To say the least, Ivixa could only hope that she didn’t get used to this too quickly...

Kessia has been trying to keep an eye on Loreena ever since she left the girl and her crew at Lotho Minor. When she just didn’t have any work, she dealt with it. The woman still trusted that she would one day lead them in the wake of the Rebel fleet. And now the girl was here, on the Vexillium. Ironically, she walked into exactly one of the enemy's centers. Did she know that this place is owned by House L’lerim? Even if indirectly. Kessia thought she did not know this.

Since she didn't want to threaten Lori this time, she just wanted to torture her, so she took on the look of her lover. Even in the Force, she chose his Force pattern and transformed her own into the man’s, to fully believe that she was Curtis Learchin Curtis Learchin . She also chose this because she hadn't seen the man in a while. This will have the effect of turning the knife in the heart of the naive girl. Since she had followed her so far, it wasn't hard to get to the bar where Lori was currently, and she had just ordered a drink.

She also headed for the bar counter in the crowd, where she saw another young woman, Ivixa Nera'kas Ivixa Nera'kas , not far from her target, in a very flashy dress. As she was currently in a male body, she looked closely at the young woman and nodded appreciatively at her appearance. She finally took the last few steps to get to Lori. For now, she was still behind her, as if searching for the words on how to address her. Eventually she coughed a little, and if Lori turned around, Curtis (Kessia) grinned in confusion.

”Hi Lori! You look wonderful tonight…”

For a while, Ingrid could only enjoy the company of her cocktail alone. At times, looked through the crowd to see if she could see any acquaintances or not. Just because today she would have been very much hidden from them. And soon she noticed a person who apparently noticed her too. Lord Credius Nargath. Had only met the man once before, though they didn't talk to each other. At the time, she was only present as a consultant in a meeting with ZU alongside Kainan Wolfe Kainan Wolfe .

At the man's words, she allowed herself a professional smile as she looked at the man with her blue eyes, high enough as she was still just sitting in the chair. She wasn't embarrassed by the words at all.

”You flatter me, Lord Nargath!” she said.

She pointed her hand at the chairs at the table so that the man could sit still if he wanted to. That is, she just wanted to do it because Credius was just sitting in one of the chairs before Ingrid could make the move. Since the other man was also a high-ranking person and also the leader of a faction, the Emperor’s hand could not have sent him away from here if she had wanted to. Returned the toast and took a very small sip of her cocktail before putting the glass on the table and smiled a little before answering.

”I don’t work today, that is, not in the usual way. If I were to deal with the affairs of the Empire, you would still see me in my uniform. No, this ship is the latest piece of movable property owned by my Consortium, purchased by a subsidiary called Vexillium. I came to check what the company was spending its money on. Such a ship almost costs more than a star destroyer.”

She laughed softly at the end, her voice could have the effect just like when a lover gently stroking along her chosen’s spine kindly, caringly. Ingrid didn't even have to strain herself for that, it was her natural laughter.

”And you are Lord Nargath? I never thought you would visit places like this.” she asked curiously.

What's Your Pleasure?
Location: Vexillium

TE-236 walked through the crowds of the luxury ship, looking around. Such a large waste of money, spent on such frivolous items. Ugh, Organics, didn't they know that in order to be successful, you had to spend most of your money on your military, to crush your opponents? Such luxury ships were easy targets, with little defenses, making them a complete waste of money.

Gin had been invited by the Eternal Empire through the Zweihander Union, where he worked. Seeing as how the Eternal Empire was friendly with them. So, Gin decided to go, why, he had no idea, most likely because it said that there were going to be drinks, and Gin was absolutely obsessed with drinks, despite him being a droid, and not being able to drink.

Gin approached one of the gambling tables. This, he was good at. Being a tactical droid, he was able to quickly run statistics and probabilities in less than half of a microsecond, so he could easily know the best chance for winning. He approached the table, and sat down in a chair. A hand was already going, so he would have to wait for the next one, only two people were left, a man and a girl. Instantly, the statistics started running though his head for the chances of either of the two winning. It was very close, as both of them seemed confident in their abilities and their hands, so this would be interesting.

Objective: 1

Lori took hold of her whiskey and had a sip, but not before giving her late Father a bit of a silent salute. That was another part of her habits these days. She missed him a lot, yet she couldn't change the past. Being a bit reckless and not following in the family footsteps was just the kind of person that she was. It was the only kind of person that she was comfortable with. And these days she could take all the comfort that she could get.

Ivixa Nera'kas Ivixa Nera'kas soon arrived nearby and Lori just gave her a casual smile. No doubt the lady was of some wealth, given the fact that she appeared to be well guarded. "Nice ship, isn't it? I can only imagine some pirates just salivating at all of the luxuries here." Yet there was little doubt that the luxury liner was well equipped to handle such a thing.

Another sip of her whiskey was given before she felt his presence. Curtis Learchin Curtis Learchin . The clearing of his throat and the sound of his voice made her smile broadly. She set her glass down and then turned on her stool, getting to her feet in one swift movement. "Curtis!" Lori wrapped her arms around him tightly before giving him a soft kiss. The fact that she could feel his presence set her at ease, giving her no suspicion at all that it could be Kessia Miran Kessia Miran in disguise. "I've missed you. And I'm all healed up from my wound. Isn't that wicked? Where have you been?" Curtis had a habit of leaving for one mission or another. A lot of it had to do with his past as a Sith working for the Sith Empire. Yet he always came back to her.

"Hmm," Upon hearing that the luxurious and lavishly decorated and upholstered ship they were spending their time in was in reality owned by a consortium which was run by the person he was talking to, the Chancellor could not refrain from chuckling slightly. He hadn't thought about owning a luxury yacht, let alone a cruiser of such magnitude as this one solely for the purpose of entertaintment and showing off wealth before. Could he have bought something like this? Surely. Dide he want to? Not really, it was not his style to flaunt wealth too openly, except perhaps when it came to clothing and sense of dress, though even there he had gradually been losing his taste for outward appeal and opulence in favor of simple, yet effective garments rather than jawdropping masterpieces of various known couturiers. "I would reckon it does indeed. One can not forget that in most cases, weapons cost less than the mere handkerchief of a noblewoman's handmaiden. It really shows the reality to us all: style cost more than function."

Holding his glass with his thumb and pinky, the man took another sip of his liquor, before gently running the index finger of the hand holding the glass over the edge in a subtle manner, tilting his head a few degrees to the side when it looked like the one he was talking to did not expect him to be at events such as the one they were at at that moment. Lady L'lerim was right to wonder such a thing though, he had never liked lavish parties, not even when they were part of the political scenes he functioned in. Credius had once been told by a young woman to simply enjoy parties as they went, lest he'd remain sour for the entire time, yet still he could not bring himself to actually like them at all.

"Events such as these, as you are to my account, perfectly aware of, Lady L'lerim are a cesspool of the most cunning, devious and depraved minds in the galaxy," Raising an eyebrow as he looked at her, the Chancellor made no attempt to hide that he now clearly counted her among the group he had just mentioned, letting out another dry chuckle as he felt quite surprisingly amused at this point. "But it also brings people born into wealth, people with no idea other than to spend and flaunt the riches they have gained through inheritance, eager to find the next best trinket or fad to prove their worth or value. Events like these, thus bring the sheep among the wolves, the wealthy to the ambitious, the oblivious among the wicked. The reason why you wouldn't see me so often at parties like these, is because I simply find it more amusing to fool the wicked, rather than be wicked to fools."

Initially, Eldin was too focused on the girl opposite to notice the arrival of the droid. His mind playing with her's, through the force sowing a seed of doubt. That was all it took, just one small ambiguity and her index finger started to tap on the corner of the cards she held in her hands. Her eyes flicked up into his, as if trying to find an answer, or waylay the doubt, but all she found was confidence staring back at her. And she folded. Just for a small moment, Eldin felt the pang of guilt, but the whiskey soon washed that away as he drained the last of the contents of his glass.

As much as this was fun, he had not gained any information on the Eternal Empire from this table. Only the mundane chatter of peoples lives, their hard luck stories which fell on deaf ears as far as he was concerned. Everyone has a hard luck story, it would not be the galaxy without it. He had his own troubles to worry his mind. Maybe he would have more luck in the ball room, the music drifting in to the gambling and the sound of muffled chatter of the crowd. Eldin turned in his seat preparing to leave when he bumped the metal leg of the droid. An odd sight to say the least, and one not expected. Usually he is met with a suit or a over dressed rich woman putting on airs and graces.

"Pardon", he apologies for the dump.

A wandering waitress arrived to refill his drink, compliments of the house she insisted, but that was not anything unusual this evening as everything was. But he had the feeling someone in the room did not want him to leave. Whether it was because he was fleecing the table, or if he had been detected as a 'person of interest'.

"So, you interested in the game?", small talk, as he lifted the whiskey to his lips and looked around the room over the top of the rim, looking for any sign of 'interest'.

Gin watched as the game went on. The girl seemed to be slowly losing her confidence, while the man kept his, raising the man's probability of victory by 37.9461845%. Eventually, the girl folded, and victory went to the man with the whiskey. Gin, of course, knew what whiskey just looked like, through his memory that remembered everything, and stored quite a bit of information, especially drinks. Plenty of his data core was dedicated to just drinks, because of his obsession with them.

Then, the man accidentally bumped Gin's leg, and apologized to the droid. Interesting, most people did not apologize to droids, but this man just apologized to Gin. How intriguing. "No problem, I cannot truly feel, I am merely programmed to emulate feelings and react accordingly." Gin replied.

The man then asked if he was interested in the game. Gin was, but he could tell the man's thoughts were elsewhere, as his eyes wandered around the room. "Yes, I am quite interested in the game." Gin replied.

"What is your desig- I mean, your name? Mine is TE-236, but you may call me Gin." Gin told the man.

"As I have you, Ari!" Sentiri gleefully exclaimed, returning the gesture of greeting with her little sister. She gave Karisa's hands a little squeeze before they released and regarded one another. Always the formal one was the Sabosen heir. From her mannerisms to her attire, every ounce of Karisa's being went into her proper demonstration of her social rank. Though Sentiri found putting the same effort in exhausting, she always admired and respected the ease with which her sister-by-marriage managed her appearance and decorum. Luckily, most humans considered Chiss to be overly stilted most of the time anyway. Considering she didn't see any other Chiss around, Sentiri wasn't too worried about her own etiquette.

"And you are quite stunning yourself, Baroness?" she added the title with a question and a raise of her eyebrow. She offered her arm to Ari and turned, indicating they continue on into the biodome and the rest of the festivities. Though she had no intention of dancing that evening, the atmosphere of the ship was quite lovely. Having spent so much time recently in the manufactured foulness that was Denon, the flourish of life onboard the opulent ship was a welcome respite.

"I've been...," Tir trailed off, trying to think of an appropriate response for the moment. Try as Sentiri might, she simply wasn't good at small talk. Aside from being superfluous, observing the pleasantries of social situations were dishonest. And if there was one person in the entire galaxy who deserved Sentiri's complete honesty, that person was Ari, the sister who had chosen and acknowledged her beyond anything the Ascendancy had said on the matter. Still, this was the first time the two had seen each other in so long. She wasn't yet ready to expound upon her innermost feelings or all the unfortunate happenings since they had last seen each other. Nor was she ready to divulge the details that Sentiri had left out when she had returned to the Ascendancy. But she would. She needed to face her past. And she needed her sister's help.

But until she was ready, small talk would have to suffice. "I've been busy. Travelling the galaxy over has not been an easy task. From Bilbringi, to Terminus, to Alderaan, to Nar Shaddaa, to Denon, to a whole host of worlds. There is never a dull moment. And what of you, Ari? Things seemed to have changed greatly for you since we last met."

Kessia had no objection to Lori hugging and kissing her. Being a trained agent, she didn’t really have a problem getting into a situation like this with either gender. It was simply a job description for the woman. Especially that she was a shape-shifter. Lori wasn't the first woman to kiss her, not even that Kessia was really attracted to men.

”My love! I missed you too! We’ll sit back?”

Asked, and if Lori had no objections, she was just playing a gentleman, hugging her waist, kindly and gently, and leading the girl back to the chairs. Here she even pulled out the chair, if they were already in such a prominent place, she tried to do the same. On the news that the girl's wound had healed, the "man" smiled with relief and happiness, but frowned at the question afterwards. Pulled out a chair for herself and sat down on it. She ordered Curtis's favourite drink for herself.

”I'm so glad you're okay now. Where was I?”

Meanwhile, the drink she ordered arrived and then took a sip. She seemed a little nervous and even looked back.

”I noticed that they were following me, I think the Imperials. I didn’t want to put you in danger either, so I tried to trick them and get them astray. I think I managed to lose them. You? They didn't track you, did you, my love?” she asked at the end, a little worried.

Ingrid may have seemed to outside observers to have devoted her full attention to Lord Nargath, but that was only an appearance. The red hair woman also watched the area unnoticed with her eyes and through the Force. She wasn't worried she could be attacked here, but it was a habit. In her profession, this level of “paranoia,” or rather readiness, was mandatory. Who was not so careful had not lived long ago. She nodded in agreement. By the way, while the man was talking, she watched him, however, not much could be read from the woman's face, what her opinion was about the words.

”I can’t argue with that, Lord Nargath, though yes, if we look at it in the long run, there’s more money in war than in the distribution of luxury goods. War is a business where you can never lose a lot of money, just win. After all, wars have always been, are and will be.”

She took a sip of her cocktail again as she watched the other man. His movements, his facial expressions. She wanted to know who she was facing during the conversation. Who was her “opponent,” even if it was just a simple conversation and not more. She doesn't really go to places that are so luxurious either, except for a case like this. Ingrid preferred private clubs. True, Vexillium also had an abundance of such things, but here it was as if it was trying to surpass the rest of the Galaxy in wealth. Did AMCO AMCO keep such a ship, or did he just catch up with the yachts? Although, if her lover had had such a ship, she would have seen it by now.

Smiled at the man's words again and laughed softly. Oh, if he had known the Vexillium (Vex) company was what kind of people were in contact with and traded with them, he might not have said that out loud. That "society" was now just diluted in this place, and lower-ranking filth came into the cesspool. The woman didn't care that the man listed her here too, because he was partly right. But in this respect, Nargath also fell into this category.

”Well, I have to admit that you are also a great fit for this company, even though neither you nor I are used to going to places like this.”

In the end, she chuckled a little too, this little hassle among the nobles wasn’t even an insult. A lot of people preferred it to praise or compliment. At least Ingrid is known for quite a few such people. Then chuckled again.

”Well, I didn't even know we were so similar. I also find much greater joy in what you have mentioned.”

She sipped her drink again, smiling a little mysteriously as she watched the man the whole time.

”How are ZU's affairs progressing? Is everything okay with your faction?” she asked politely.

Lori nodded at the idea of taking up a table. It was good to have him back. They both tended to worry equally about eachother, most often when they were apart. But he had his past to deal with and didn't want her caught in it.

Besides, she had her own troubles. Like the Eternal Empire and Kessia Miran Kessia Miran .

Lori sat down on the chair, waiting until he sat before thinking of how best to answer his question. It wasn't easy. "I'm glad you got away. I don't think that I've been tracked here, but they have found me once already." She sipped her drink and leaned back in her chair, glancing around at the crowd of people on the luxury ship. "I'll have to tell you about that later though. I don't want to chance anyone listening in. We'll all have to watch our backs though. We've almost got bounties on our heads. At least while in their territory."

He pursed his lips as he placed the glass on the table. “Daine, Eldin Daine”, a thought crossed him mind that maybe this droid was sent to the table to keep an eye on him. Wasn’t he one of those military droids? He was in ‘enemy’ territory after all, or at the very least, tense territory.

“Good to meet you Gin”, Eldin gave the droid a friendly nod. “I’d offer to buy you a drink but, well… you know. Droid and all”.

The girl that had just lost the round sat quietly staring at him, there was a sense of hate pouring off her through the force. For the moment, Eldin sat talking to the droid ignoring it, unless the girl so much as twitched in his direction, he wouldn’t make a move. The table’s croupier called for the players to lay their bets.

“You wanna sit in on this one?”, Eldin would sit it out this round, watch and lean as they say. Not sure if the droid had chips on him, “Happy to give ya a marker if you need it”. It would be a win win for him either way. Besides, he still had not established if he had been clocked.
