As the wreckage cleared and the portal to the Netherworld dissipated in the wake of the final fight, both fighters rushed to emergency care following the mutual impalement, the lights dimmed all across the arena.

The rounds of combat had left their mark on the audience too.

The stands still smoldered with the wreckage of the orbital bombardment of Sars Sarad. Elsewhere, bodies left by the attack of Whotto's conspirators lay in pieces. And half the audience was still recovering from the deluge of glitterstim.

The carnage only heightened the excitement of the survivors, eager to see if their bets paid off.

The lights flared to life, centering on the not-Ragnos announcer, who floated high above the ruined arena floor on a repulsor pod and spoke into his staff-a-phone.

"LADIES AND GENTLEBEINGS.

YOU'VE SEEN FIVE ROUNDS OF BRILLIANT, GLORIOUS COMBAT WORTHY OF THE MIGHTIEST SITH LORDS!

BUT THERE MUST BE A VICTOR."

A scrawl on the holoscreen behind him portrayed a list of all of the fighters and their sponsors.

"Before we arrive at the ultimate conclusion and announce the GALACTIC KAGGATH CHAMPION, we must honor those who came before. That's right! The votes from the panelists and crowd are in. Your favorites might still be in this thing. So listen close.

The fighter with the most MEMORABLE lines and WINNER of the title DUN MOCH GURU: Antar Antar !
"AHHHH! AGHHH!"
"Oooh," Antar is impressed with Fenn's quick reaction as plasma clashes with beskar.

"Oooh!"
Kyric said:
"I feel like you get what I'm sayin', Mister Antar. There ain't nothin' like bettin' life and limb on nothin' but raw grit and the strength of yer arm."
And now Kyric is losing Antar. The enforcer frowns.

"I don't really want to lose either of those things," Antar contemplates aloud to himself.
For his efforts, he wins... the ORACLE STONE!

The fighter with the move that SHOCKED us ALL and WINNER of the HIGHLIGHT REEL: Delsin Shaw Delsin Shaw
A massive bolt of Kinetite blasted through the center of the tree, through the shadow to be directly aimed at Taregh.
"Oh my! Looks like someone

BROKE
THE
TREE!"

"My oh my, will our duelists survive that whirlwind of broken branches and shattered wood?! Either way,

the top half of the Wroshyr tree is gone!"
For his efforts, he wins... a Krath mask and dagger!
ukZqYe8.png

The fighter who caused the MOST collateral DAMAGE, who can forget him, the CORPULENT: Whottoomuzz Chantin Whottoomuzz Chantin

The moment the Flesh Curtain rose to intercept the orbital cannon, the plan shifted from passive threat to open extraction. Twelve assassins buried across the coliseum moved with perfect violence—each synchronized to Whottoomuzz’s final contingency: “If the game turns rigged, burn the board.”
For his efforts, he wins... a Chrysalide beast!
tJPJTOu.png

The fighter with the MOST KILLS... (our condolences to the families of 5-WCH (Switchblade) 5-WCH (Switchblade) and Vagabond Vagabond )... A TIE: Arris Windrun Arris Windrun and Mercy Mercy

He breathed a final breath. His sulfur eyes pierced the ashen cloud, fixing directly on Arris' own.
One final robotic message was left by the droid before his head became a heap of broken circuits and wires.

"I'll be back."
For their efforts... a sniper rifle!
M8dnKrN.png

The fighter who went from nobody to almost winning it all... the DARK HORSE: Arris Windrun Arris Windrun
"If you're not first..." A mutter and a dry chuckle. "What a stupid karkin' slogan."
For her efforts... an earring!
wdlap5m.png

The fighters who went the distance and wow, what a display, WINNERS of FIGHT OF THE NIGHT: Kyric Kyric and Koda Fett Koda Fett .
"It wouldn't be the real deal if yer poisoned, Fett."
kqfyi7R.png

For their efforts... they win: a starfighter and a sword!
AND OF COURSE.

WE COULD KEEP IT FROM YOU NO LONGER...

THE VOTES ARE TALLIED.

IN THE FINAL ROOOOOUND OF COMBAT BETWEEN KYRIC KARIS, JEDI KNIGHT, AND MERCY, SITH LORD.... ON A SPLIT DECISION.

THE WINNER OF YOUR FIRST. EVER. GALACTIC.

KAGGATH.

CHAMPION.

....

.......

............

MERCYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"

RUUSAN

Darth Adekos watched in sulky silence for a long moment and eventually discharged a long sigh. Disappointing, to say the least, but what was life but the long march between disappointments? This wouldn't even crack the top five worst things that had happened to him on or near Ruusan.

His eyes lit up a sickly red color as he remotely accessed the HoloNet, authorizing the transfer of 50,000 "underworld credits" to one of Varanin's various proxy accounts. Yes, he had the routing numbers already. Nothing with a digital connection remained hidden from him or his minions for very long.

"Well. I believe my business here is concluded. All that is filthy and chaotic has triumphed over that which is orderly and clean. A terrible portent of the future."

Not that he had forecasted anything but misery in the first place. His mechno-chair rose with a mechanical groan and Adekos finally gave up his wine glass to the serving droid, declining a refill. Perhaps something stronger once he got back to his shuttle.

"May all your future endeavors be so memorable as this one."

I am not your rolling wheels, I am a hive mind
"Well. I believe my business here is concluded. All that is filthy and chaotic has triumphed over that which is orderly and clean. A terrible portent of the future."
Say many things of Ashin Varanin; say she was unnecessarily cold, impulsive, rootless, a failure and hobbyist as both parent and monarch; say she was washed up, mercurial, lazy, abandoning all ambition except the personal, quixotic, and strange; but never say she was a poor or crowing winner.

"I hope you'll take it as vindication, then, that with her winnings my apprentice should be able to afford her first bath. Until next time, Tyrin."

Alright, so his given name slipping out could be taken as disrespect rather than familiarity or some faint glimmer of unthinkable fondness. Given her typical inflection, it probably would be. Ah well.
