SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Three-edged blade (upper 2/3 of blade)
  • Multiple poisoned blood grooves (lower 1/3 of blade)
  • Spell of Concealment
STRENGTHS
  • Completely conceals the holder's Force presence using an unusually powerful Spell of Concealment.
  • Blood grooves along the lower 1/3 of the blade can deliver the user's choice of poisons.
  • Excellent at piercing clothes and flexible armor, even high-grade examples.
  • Delivers wounds that bleed very freely.
  • Cannot be detected as a Force-imbued object.
WEAKNESSES
  • Only conceals the holder's Force presence, not anything else about them; no visual concealment, etc.
  • Can be damaged or destroyed by lightsabers, vibroblades, or blasters. Definitely not a duelling weapon.
  • Poison delivery requires a deep piercing wound.
  • No cutting edge to speak of, though of course the point can still cut.
  • Will skid off rigid armor. Must be applied to gaps.
  • The alchemy pauses while under the influence of ysalamiri, Force light, etc.
  • Extended Force light would remove the Sith magic enchantment entirely, rendering the stiletto just a stiletto.
  • The Spell of Concealment on the holder only functions when the holder is actually holding the handle.
  • Serious Force use would still cause a detectable disturbance in the Force, just not centred on the holder.
  • Force use obviously centred on the holder (e.g. creating lightning) would obviously identify the holder as a Force practitioner.

DESCRIPTION
Lord Azel Moran modeled four of these daggers after a historical example associated with a member of the ancient Krath Council. He and his senior students/forge assistants on the Pomojema constructed them in the mid-870s. They sourced the Drengir wood from the wreckage of the Drengir assault on the Pomojema at Svolten in 874.

The alchemy in these stilettos has nothing to do with supernatural durability or sharpness. Instead, it focuses on concealment. The dagger cannot be detected as a Force-imbued/alchemical object. Holding it places a very powerful Spell of Concealment on the owner, hiding their Force presence regardless of whether they are using the Force or carrying other Force-related objects. To be clear, serious Force use would still cause a detectable disturbance in the Force, just not centred on the holder's immediate location or associated with them. Shooting lightning or some such would obviously still pinpoint the holder as a Force user, too.

The Spell of Concealment is especially strong because of the integration of the Drengir wood. Drengir are powerful dark side practitioners in their way, capable of concealing their incursions and infiltrations from both Jedi and Sith until the appropriate time to strike.

"The way he sneered when he stabbed me, the man with yellow eyes...but I felt nothing dark from him, just the silence. Just the silence."
— the last words of Jedi Knight Dereth Relu, stabbed and poisoned by an unknown assassin on Empress Teta, 874 ABY
