Lily Rhodes
Unseen
Lily caught the amusement in his tone, her gaze sliding away from Vess and Zaiya back to him. “You’d be surprised at just how simple it is.”
She didn’t elaborate, her eyes moving again keeping Ziaya and Vess in her peripherals as they walked, listening to Daxin’s story. A long time student the Order hadn’t given up on. That he thought they might said a lot more about the Order than it did about Daxin and whatever was holding him back.
Her attention in the force focused on him fully now, picking up the slight tension in his shoulders, the careful control of his tone. Unlike most Jedi he seemed more focused on physical sense than that which the force could give him.
She gave him a knowing smile, so he had noticed what she was up to.
“Why on earth would a hobby like reading be disapproved of by the Order?” she asked innocently, though her eyes glittered with mischief before her gaze moved forwards again. “Jedi claim to be the good guys, they're not honest about their flaws, which makes them harder to trust. Plus,” she said with a small shrug “I’ll be dead before I call someone ‘Master.’”
Her eyes drifted back to Vess and Zaiya, shifting their path towards them. “So, if you’ve been with the Order for years, what’s holding you back?”
