The Domain of Agony (Clans of Mandalore Dominion of Orinda)

Tyran Numeck

Mandalorian Supercommando
Tyran was going to start carrying anti-venom with him from now on. It was stupid on his part to come to a Vong occupied world without any, but Cassi had him patched back up in short order. "Thanks doc." He said as he put a new charge into his blaster. The cries coming from the passage way that had been opened up by Yasha were too loud to ignore now and by the looks of things Yasha was now under control and in capable hands so he joined Adenn in rushing down the corridor.

Vong worlds stank and that was just a fact. The smell that hit him as they stepped into the pathway was so strong that his helmet air scrubbers couldn't cancel it out. There were people locked in cages but Tyran couldn't seem to see anyway of opening them easily. A hand reached out from behind the yorik coral bars and grabbed his inured arm and it made him wince but the malnourished face on the other end made him pause for a second. The face was pleading with him, looking at him with hope and the promise of safety. Which was a real first for him. Tyran ejected the beskar blade in his forearm gauntlet and motioned for the people in the cell to stand back and began hacking at the yorik coral bars.

Noah Corek

Cocked, Locked and a Smoking Barrel
Factory Judge
Location: Orinda Wilds
Objective: Kill Vong
Allies: [member="Tyran Numeck"] - [member="Yasha Cadera"] - [member="Alexandra Feanor"] - [member="Kaine Australis"] - [member="Skorvek"] - [member="Cassiopeia Caranthyr"]

Noah tore through the cavern with the rest of the Mandalorians, those who arrived before him and those who arrived after him. He swiveled his rifle from left to right, putting double taps into any Vong that dared cross his path. As he did this his eyes caught the Shapers platform and more importantly how Kaine grabbed his own wife and tossed her aside. White hot rage built up inside Noah as his focus was now solely on the platform. He began to stomp towards the platform but in his singular focus of at least giving Kaine an earful he missed a Vong warrior launch some sort of projectile towards his head.

The projectile created a low whistling as it tore through the air towards his head. As the projectile made contact with Noah's helmet the sound of metal tearing was heard followed by a sickening noise one couldn't place no matter how heard they tried. Letting out a guttural cry Noah refocused on the Vong warrior, his adrenaline blocking out the pain. Bringing his rifle to bear he put the sights on the warrior and put him down. With the warrior down the pain finally began to set in, a head splitting pain. Going down to one knee he became aware of the sudden wetness just above his left eye. Reaching up he disengaged his helmet and took it off.

Reaching up he gingerly swept his hand over his forehead and came away with blood and some white flecks. The blood he expected, it was the white flecks that caught him off guard. It took a few seconds for Noah to process it but he finally understood what they were, bone fragments. Shaking he lifted his helmet, visor facing him, to his face and peered into it. What he saw in the visor almost made even him vomit. The projectile had torn through his helmet and into his head, above his left temple there was a massive gash that torn skin and bone away to expose part of his brain. Falling from his knee onto his rear he began to hyperventilate and one word ran through his mind to his mouth. "MEDIC!"

Shadows and shouts were the greatest stimulants in Yasha’s ruined senses. Devoid of the protective measures in her armour, overcome by pain and the agony of the interdiction field, Yasha’s instinctual programming remained as triggered as when her dear Alex grabbed her.

Kaine reached for her arms, and Yasha bellowed. She cursed and struggled, the pain in her right shoulder increasing to a mind-dimming throb. Her legs kicked. She hissed and gnashed her teeth, making no purchase. Body thrashing, the corrupted woman stuck both feet on his stomach and shoved. They untangled. Her body hit the wall, as [member="Nicair Claden"], [member="Tyran Numeck"] and [member="Adenn Kyramud"] rushed to the aide of the Orindans the Mandalorians had originally thought they would find above.

Before Yasha could attack Kaine, he lunged and wrapped her in his arms. No matter how hard she struggled, he bucked and held firm.

A voice in the dark.
It’s going to be alright.

Amidst the blinking and the blotches, due to Alex’s last action of dimming the lights in the cave, Yasha’s eyes began to focus. [member="Skorvek"] roared and kept a barrier between herself, her attacker, and the others.

Skorvek’s ears cleared first. His snout. That voice again, it’s going to be alright. I love you. Yasha bashed her head against Kaine’s helmet. Once. Twice. It hurt her skull more than the beskar and transparisteel buy’ce. She panted and shrieked, trying to break free. Shake the dim fuzz out of her mind.

“Great.”
“Everyone! We have new problems!…”
“Manda…”
“It’s going to be alright.”
“MEDIC!”

Yasha’s body began to tire in its’ thrashes. The sound of her own breathing broke across the thunder of her ears. She shook her head, feeling hot moisture pour down her nose. Tasted it upon her lips, the copper of her own blood.

Kaine’s voice whispering ‘I love you’s’.

“K-k-ain… ik… wh-where.. Vong... I.. I can’t see… I can’t see! Wh-where…” Her lungs resumed a heady hyperventilation, as her left arm went from struggling against him, to trying to grasp his armour, hold herself up. Her right arm dangled lifelessly. Wound seeping, yet less than it should have. The Vongformed additive staunched the flow of torn musculature and tissue.

“… NOAH!” Yasha shrieked, as [member="Noah Corek"] went down. His body hitting the ground the first thing Yasha could see all but clearly. Vision going dark, Yasha slumped against Kaine, left hand attempting to reach around his neck and hold herself up.

“K-koemi?” Yasha’s voice rustled down to a near sing-song quality, as the wounded Epicanthix descended to a dangerous and potentially life-threatening state of shock. Her openly wounded shoulder slumped, in dire need of attention. “Koemi.. uisn… uisn Naou… Uuisn (Kaine… help… help Noah… Help)…”

Kaine. Her safe space. The sometimes aggravating, but perpetually protective riduur, who sacrificed nigh everything to protect his loved ones… Yasha shook her head wildly for another reason: to stay awake. She was beginning to slip.

As [member="Cassiopeia Caranthyr"] hoped the child lived, emaciated and horrifically injured experimental captives reached through the bars of their cages, weeping, screaming or the worst of them slumped apathetically against the walls of their confines, incapable of the energy to fight or rise.

Each changed by the Vong Shaper. Each requiring aide. In a nest-like cradle, a human infant laid. The baby’s lungs shook with caterwauling cries, as the Vong children, crèched together in the back of the laboratory, crouched behind their two remaining protectors.

One of the children growled and reached for the infant, a knife in his young hand.

Location: Orinda Wilds
Objective: Save the Captives

To see a child, even a vong, attempt to kill an infant was a puzzling and he was sure some would find it disturbing to see. The man had a task at hand, to save the Orindans trapped down here. Everything else was a threat, a vong threat at that.

Time slowed down, or that was the commonly held concept of when the nervous system encounters stress and the adrenal system activates. His mind was processing more than it usually does, factoring in everything happening around him. It was why people commonly felt like time slowed, their minds were just being bogged down by how much their bodies thought they needed to process in order to survive. If someone can harness that ability, they can learn to use it at will. The Sociph have more than the average number of cortical receptors leaving little to actually damage their bodies that doesn't end up being absorbed. Much that regular humans experience when faced with extensive periods of stress. It meant they could enter into this state of adrenaline frequently, or as often as they could will their bodies into.

His beskad he put back in its sheath and withdrew his Hullcracker. There wasn't time for him to goad the warrior forward. So he had to go himself. The noise would be the worst part. In this confined space the already loud discharge of his hand cannon would be next to deafening. It was. The blast removed a good portion of the warrior's skull with the blast while Nicair was moving. He crossed the distance quickly, but his second blast didn't hit as on target as he would have liked, either clipping the warrior or hitting somewhere unimportant.

What Nicair was primarily focusing on was his boot and making sure it landed on the chest of the vong child. It wasn't a complete kick, it was more him forcing the thing to the ground to keep it from getting to the infant. He and his hand cannon returned focus to the warrior in whatever condition they were in.

Then he heard it, the smallest scratching of metal and fingernails on metal. For the briefest moment he turned his attention to the child. It was clawing at his boot and trying to find the gap in his armor near his foot. It spoke in what he could only assume to be curses at him. Nicair put his tomahawk away and allowed himself to trust that the other Mandalorians would kill the remaining warrior. He then leaned down, trying to balance his weight enough so that he wasn't putting all of it on the child's chest. With his now free hand he forced the knife away from the child and grasped it at the brachial plexus origin and with a grip of steel he squeezed just enough for it to have a limited array of movement.

"What is your name." The vong proceeded to spit on his vizor.

"Not anymore."

Tyran Numeck

Mandalorian Supercommando
Tyran flinched at the sound of [member="Nicair Claden"]'s Hullcracker going off and so did the Orindans that they were rescuing. Before Tyran could say anything though he looked up to see the second Vong warrior rushing forward and Tyran put five rounds from his own blaster into the alien's skull and throat. "Maybe some warning next time vod?" He said as he helped a very malnourished Orindan up off the ground. "We're going to need to find an LZ clear of the battleground to get these people up to one of the cruisers and Noah is hurt pretty bad too." This had turned into a real mess. Why did he think it was going to be the routine science expedition that the job had been described as being? Nothing was every simple when the Yuuzhan Vong were involved.

The adrenaline filled rage that fueled him subsided when he saw that the Infernal was being tended too and that the vong that fought were dealt with he went over to help free those imprisoned for the shapers twisted experiments. He released a few folk one of them looked to be wearing a government uniform, no doubt the vong intended to experiment on him and send him back to further there hold on Orinda before the Mandalorians showed up.

After the man was set free and was out of his daze he walked over to Skorvek, He did his best to compose himself and at least act the part of being competent despite the circumstances, He walked up to the large bloodied Anubian before he spoke in a respectful if not shaky tone to him.

''On behalf of myself and the government and people of Orinda I would like to thank you and your Mandalorian's for what you have done here today, I would like to on behalf of our government to thank you for what youv done here today and would wish to extend a offer of letting us fall under you and your clan's protection.''

He reached out his hand to shake as a way of sealing the deal, Normally he'd let the Infernal handle this but she was in no shape or condition at the moment for this thankfully he had the authority to approve or deny such deals, He accept and shook the mans hand before speaking.

I accept your proposition, We shall send relief teams shortly after we tend to our wounded and besure there's no vong left to rebuild and start again. But as of now this place is under our protection.

Was all he said before he walked off and called in support to help clean up, free anyone in the vong structures and to remove any vong presence that maybe left as he kept with [member="Yasha Cadera"] to help tend to her condition incase she goes feral again.
