OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Maji Ironworks
  • Affiliation: Maji Ironworks
  • Market Status: Closed-Market
  • Model: M.I. ‘Sunstroke’ Jetpack
  • Modularity: Highly Modular
  • Production: Minor
  • Material: Duranium, Duraplast, Beskar, Durasteel, various other materials.

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Secure wireless link between device and wearer.
  • Fire control system connected to weapons and systems onboard.
  • Personal deflector shield for wearer
  • Powerful ion engines and repulsors
  • Usable both in and out of atmosphere
  • Water jets for underwater usage.
  • 2 modular missile launchers
  • High intensity battery pack.
  • Gyroscopic stabilizers
  • Electromagnetic connections with a quick release.
  • Insulation against EMP and ion attacks
  • Features a “jump” mode and a “flight” mode.
  • Missile kill switch in jetpack.

STRENGTHS
  • Power: Using electric propulsion systems and a battery pack, the jetpack only requires sunlight to charge, resulting in a device that could potentially fly forever.
  • Speed: The jetpack has a high flight speed and gyroscopic stabilizers to maneuver effectively in any environment.
  • Stealth: With a pair of repulsor lifts built in, the jetpack can be used for stealthy situations.
  • Security: The jetpack has a variety of systems in place to keep the jetpack and its weapons secure from tampering or premature detonation.

WEAKNESSES
  • Battery: While the device doesn’t need fuel, it still has to charge for a significant time before usage in order to run for a reasonable time. The auto charging feature also only works when in direct sunlight or openly catching solar radiation in space.
  • Presence: The ion engines put out a big heat signature, and the deflector shield can be easily overwhelmed under stress.
  • Stealth: The repulsor lifts are useless in areas with no atmosphere, forcing the wearer to make use of the ion engines.
  • Damage: As is typical with jetpacks, the machine can malfunction badly if compromised with damage.

DESCRIPTION
Meant to be a cheap and effective product, the ‘Sunstroke’ jetpack is highly modular and very economical to use. It can fly indefinitely if used correctly and utilizes two missile launchers for offensive capability.

Another useful feature is the onboard deflector shield for the wearer, giving them a bit more protection from shrapnel, grenades and typical handheld weapons when flying and maneuvering. It also sports a secure connection to its user’s suit as well as insulation against electronic attacks such as EMP or ion, allowing it to keep flying no matter what.

Unfortunately, it’s still a jetpack and flying can put its user in a severe disadvantage in some situations. Some force users can also manipulate it and the deflector shield does not protect against heavy weapons or anti-air devices.
