Aboard the cloaked Prowler-Class Covert Observation Cruiser Interloper a mission was now underway, a Tier-1 Crossroads Republic Special Operations Command team was gearing up for a crucial state-sanctioned mission.

had managed, through back-channels, to get the agreement of a rather brilliant young scientist to come work for Crossroads Defense Industries on one, perhaps even two strategically-vital projects. So, the Interloper was in the upper atmosphere of Lothal, in the darkest part of night. Each individual was a highly-trained operator, the best that Crossroads had. Although even the best needed a hand sometimes, which was why they had someone on the ground, watching

to be sure they would be arriving at the right place and at the right time. So long as their cloaked cruiser remained in the heart of contested territory between the Bryn, the Sith Empire, and the Silver Jedi Concord they were vulnerable. So the entire ship was getting antsy. The entire ten-man team was ready, standing at the entrance vertical drop tubes which operated very simply: A powerful airtight hatch would open, and then each team member would step off, and slip into the night, the ship never having to partially uncloak to open its hangar for traditional long-range insertions. This was a pioneering new tactic for the Crossroads team, with their all-black SOCOM-AAS (Assault Armor Suit) they'd be able to easily breath, see, and communicate with one another as they descended. At pre-determined altitudes their SOCOM-ER (Exoskeleton Rig) system would break their fall entirely without the need for a parachute by using its mix of thrusters, powerful impact-resistant servos, and inertial dampeners to allow them to hit the ground quick and clean, and above all, quietly. Even their CSOR-230 Blaster Rifles were rigged for stealth, designed for covert missions and built-in suppressors and powerful stun settings, their training setting which would be enough to put an adult Wookiee on its back with one shot but keep it alive.
There wasn't a known military presence on Lothal, the flat farm world was peaceful at this point, no signs of warships in orbit, and no signs of army presence on the ground. But the space around Lothal and the trip to Crossroads from Lothal was a long one and a dangerous one. With all of these powers around her it was believed that a special mission had to be undertaken to insure she wasn't intercepted. Therefore, for her own protection Liddaat was going to be kidnapped by the people who hired her, although communications were purposely-vague so she wasn't aware of who'd hired her precisely, it was possible a smart girl like her would probably get a good idea of who it was she was set to work for. The kidnapping effort was being done entirely without her knowledge so that she couldn't be followed and tracked, and with as fast as one of these missions happened it was nearly-impossible to intercept them with anything but a pre-emptively positioned grab team, hence the reason for them being so heavily-armed and combat-equipped, just in case. One thing that Liddaat would come to understand was just how careful the Crossroads Republic's covert operations people were.
"We ready?" Lieutenant Alask Terrano asked his mission manager, the ship's ESD (External Security Department) senior agent on board.
"Not yet, we don't have the confirmation order from the asset on the ground," the man replied tiredly, having been the asked the same question over and over again by the antsy spec-ops team leader, "Just have some patience lieutenant, we'll get you into motion soon enough."
"Yeah, roger that," Alask rolled his eyes as he turned back to his team, who were just waiting less-than-patiently for the go word, "Come on..."
