Hrajlmak connected. But not where he was hoping. His prey spun and slashed at his knees, glancing an exposed mobility point in his armour. Hrajlmak smashed through the other side of the hut, scrambling to his feet before the wooden structure collapsed on top of him. By the time he was up and composed, she was running again. This fight was infuriating. But he couldn't simply let her go. Arrogance, fury and an insatiable thirst for violence wouldn't permit it. Fortunately the biggest barrier to this hunt, the deflector shield, wasn't showing. All he had to do was stop her retreat. In the chase the pair navigated countless corpses, native and Draelvasier alike. Hrajlmak scooped up a
grenade launcher from the cold grip of a fallen Brute, skidded to a halt and fired off a rapid salvo of explosives as close to his target as possible.

She got away while he was busy crunching through the wall. Even so, she knew he'd be back after her before long. She made a beeline for the exit tunnel rather than bobbing and weaving, which might have been the smarter play. By the time he righted himself, she wasn't very close to him. Not that it apparently mattered when he grabbed a grenade launcher from the fallen and began lobbing shots in her direction. It was a move of sheer desperation. He clearly didn't want to lose, even though he already had. The moment he'd allowed others to begin firing on her he'd given up and claim to have won the fight. Only the loser asks for help in the middle of a fight.

One of the grenades landed close by. It shattered a wall and sent shards of metal and debris flying through the air. It staggered her, and when she looked down she could see a large piece of metal protruding from her thigh. Well, the medical droid is going to have its work cut out for it, she thought as she stared at it a moment, and then whipped her swords around to holster on her back before drawing her gun. If he was going to play that sort of game, she'd join in. Plus it could buy her some time.

"Incendiary," she said.

The rounds clicked into place and she fired two of them in his direction before turning to run again. It wasn't as fast as before, but she wasn't far from her exit either. She still moved faster than a normal person with a piece of shrapnel in their thigh would.

"Armor piercing."

Might as well be ready.

When Tathra closed the distance, the Jedi leapt back as seemingly a great light radiated from either his hands or the crossed sabers. Tathra rose his right gauntlet, expecting some sort of assault from the blinding light. His eyes reflective tapetum protecting from the blinding light a degree more than a Humans could as he squinted reflexively, yet no assault came.

He felt the force like a warmth with no heat that folded over every molecule of his being. Yet nothing came of it, no grand dark side presence to validate his foes persistence. Nothing. Tathra knew in his heart he was doing the right thing, his strength reigned from a position of neutrality, of strength and balance. Quill's tricks would not avail him.

Tathra simply walked closer, arm still raised in defence as he once again would close the distance on his opponent. Once he was in range, Tathra's stance shifted to bring his left leg forward once again; right hand shifting into an open grasp as Tathra would repeat the intention of the previous strike.

Once his salvo was done he threw the launcher to the ground and prepared to resume a sprint. As he fell into a run, two shells came flying towards him. One overshot, the other remained on target. He batted it with his staff. A mistake if he'd have known the contents. The shell erupted in flame around Hrajlmak's upper body. He recoiled to the floor, twisting away from what could easily melt him to the bone. He patted out some flaming cloth on his armour and turned to face his opponent. She was gone. And the Warlock was left with nothing but pain and anger.

From what he gathered of the myriad minds connected to his own, the nearby farming town had been razed to the ground and any life rooted out. The mission was a success. But here in the mud, surrounded by his fallen brethren, Hrajlmak had only personal failure to contemplate.
