OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Army Name: Techno Magorum Tribe
  • Classification: Renegade Mawite Tribe
  • Affiliation: Arimurkhan the Defiler
  • Army Symbol: Picture Above
  • Description:
Description:

The Power of the Great Vortex (The Force) and the full industrial might of machines form the perfect creation. To belong to the Techno Magorum Tribe is a rare honor that is given to those that excel in using the power of the force and empowering machinery with it. Rejecting the Brotherhood of the Maw's Belief in the Three Avatars and the Pathetic Worship of Ominism, they follow only one deity and that is the Great Vortex of the Force, a swirling maelstrom that all the power of the living force flows through into the cosmic force. They believe that if one was able to harness that power at its apex (Just when it is about to go into the cosmic force) they would gain unimaginable power and strength within the force.

Considered heretics by the Brotherhood of the Maw, they follow the Exalted Prophet of the Vortex and follow their example, of being augmented with stronger personal force reservoirs and increased strength with cybernetic augmentations to their physical forms. Mutations run rampant among their ranks, but this doesn't bother them as they belief that the vortex bestows upon them with a gift to their biological form in order to serve the Great Vortex better.

The Techno Magorum Tribe started out as just a small band of bloodsworn warriors following the Mawite Sorcerer Arimurkhan the Defiler on various battlefields in service of the Brotherhood of the Maw. Raiding into the east away from the main brotherhood forces; they smashed through the defenses of numerous planets. This small band of bloodsworn warriors would eventually expand to include numerous warriors of different species into their ranks after their leader casted off the False Gods of the Maw for a real powersource dubbed the Great Vortex of the Force. No one really knows if the great vortex really exists within the galaxy or is simply a delusion within the mind of Arimurkhan, but one thing is clear in their mission.

Not only to cleanse the galaxy from the unblessed
(Those that lack the power of the force) but to cause such a disturbance in the galaxy that it will send ripples throughout the force itself and spawn the great vortex before their very eyes. Bestowing them with immense power that would be considered unfathomable to wield.

The Techno Magorum Tribe is steadfast in its belief system, although not so overly zealous as to be blinded by it. They believe that by going against the natural will of the force, the spawning of their deity is ever nearer. As such the tribe is considered to be an abomination against the force by the traditional sith and jedi orders within the galaxy. Their main power is the conjuration of foul spells and curses, although they do have considerable knowledge with technology that helps them to augment their spells on the battlefield.

Like all mawites within the galaxy, they are savage warriors on the battlefield and are more than able to defend themselves from whatever goes there way. Although using technology they mainly focus on the creation of great war beasts to serve them on the battlefield. Creating life is paramount to their vision of causing a galaxy wide disturbance that will bring forth the power they so desperately seek. Each warband having a lieutenant that answers directly to the Exalted Prophet and serves his bidding without complaint.

SOCIAL INFORMATION

  • Headquarters:
  • Goals:
    • The goal of the Techno Magorum has always been ever changing underneath the leadership of the Exalted Prophet. However their first goal is to rid the galaxy of people without the vortex's blessing (that being force sensitivity) and cause such a disturbance through the force that their deity will spawn into existence and empower them with its unholy being. The Techno Magorum Tribe will stop at nothing to accomplish this goal, believing that going against the will of the force will benefit their deity. As such they use any foul ritual or techniques that they can think off to increase their power within the force, to such an extent that even the sith deem them to be an abomination of the force itself and needs to be eradicated at all cost.

    • The Great Vortex hungers for force energy constantly and the sacrifice of those without the blessing will diminish this ever growing hunger. It imbues its chosen prophet with its power to lead the tribe to war and conquest. A great addiction is had to those that taste even a fraction of this power and it allows the tribe to gather more and more into their ranks.
  • Reputation:
    • The Tribe is viewed as nothing more than an abomination by both friend and foes. Considered to be heretics by the Brotherhood of the Maw for their following of the Great Vortex and disregarding the Three Avatars as nothing more than delusions. Although not one of the founding tribes of the brotherhood or even that well known among its members, it has managed to avoid being caught off guard and destroyed. It can be considered just as violent and deadly as the other tribes within the maw and more than able to stand up to those that oppose them on the battlefield.

    • They are considered nothing more than techno sorcerers whose beliefs contradict even then most loose understandings of the force, conjuring foul spells and magic to rain devastation down upon their foes. As such even the mightiest sith lord and jedi see them as a threat to the force, and the tribe is constantly battling force sensitives on various worlds, trying to harvest them for sacrifices to their deity.
COMPOSITION INFORMATION
  • Army Size:
    • Large
  • Composition:
    • Unlike the other tribes of the Brotherhood. The Techno Magorum is host to a large number of sorcerers within its ranks that fall underneath the Spellcaster Warband within the main tribe. Using their raw power with the force or traditional magic to boost the fighting morale and overall savagery of the Awakened Warband. The Awakened are the organic warriors composed of various species have have become addicted to the power of the great vortex or simply serve due to their belief system. They can be considered the backbone of the techno magorum tribe as their officers provide the creativity and tactics of the overall army.

    • The Clockwork Warband are droid forces that have been put together with cogs and machinery, powered by lightning cores to make them the perfect fodder and specialized units on the battlefield. Forming the logistics and main support force of the tribe. The clockworks themselves come in a variety of different forms which make them more suitable for different tasks on the battlefield.

    • Monsters are also fielded by the tribe, forming the raw might of the tribe itself, having been outfitted with armor plating and some are even converted into walking platforms of destruction. War Machines powered by lightning are also not uncommon, as electricity can be easily acquired and generated within a specialized core and even using the ion weaponry of the enemy to fuel the forces of the tribe as the ion energies will provide a power source for the core within their internal mainframe.

The First Prophet of the Great Vortex is the Renegade Mawite Sorcerer
Arimurkhan the Defiler also known as the Speaker of Prophecy. He created the tribe from a small warband of Bloodsworn Warriors that followed him into the east to lay siege to various undefended worlds after the Mawite Destruction of Csilla. From this small warband came his lieutenants that run the tribe with peak efficiency, having earned his trust after following him into battle on various worlds.

Discovering the Great Vortex during a raid on an undisclosed world, Arimurkhan would emerge not as a follower of the Three Avatars but as the first servant of the Great Vortex and would begin converting his bloodsworn warriors into a new faithful legion. New members are picked up from birth on various worlds underneath the thrall of the tribe and those with force sensitivity are given to the Spellcaster Warband within the Magorum to harness their power. Those without the force are given over to the Awakened Warband within the tribe to serve as a front line fighting force.

Being trained from birth to die for their deity and are given an addicition to its power through a blessing from the Exalted Prophet.
. Those with certain gifts in machinery are given the task of tending to and constructing new variants of the Clockwork Soldiers used by the tribe, and repairing the war engines of the tribe for use in future conflicts. They are ultimately taken to the Tower of Sorcery, the personal abode of Arimurkhan and are given the trail of stealing a single book from his library. If they manage to accomplish such they are given a blessing and are allowed to live as they received the blessing of the great vortex to succeed. If they fail they are given over to be sacrificed to the great vortex, providing the impoverished deity with force energy to devour.

The Second Prophet of the Great Vortex is Korious Tharenai also known as the Cursed Ashlan Crusader. Once a proud and noble defender of the Ashlan Faith, Korious grew disillusioned with ashla's light after the crusade killed his brother for practicing the dark side of the force instead of trying to save him. Becoming the apprentice to Arimurkhan on the Mawite's Base of Operation on Weik. Korious would be trained in everything that the mawite sorcerer knew in order to become the next prophet if he was slain. Korious achieved his chance to lead after the Death of Arimurkhan the Defiler by a Jedi Strike Team before the Battle of Tython.

He now leads the warbands of the techno magorum into the north to settle on the World of Skraalzzar.

The Third Prophet of the Great Vortex are the Twin Disasters known as Vascal Rotspike and Jurgamond Rotspike. Once a pair of honorable mercenaries working for the Hutt Cartel, they slowly grew disillusioned with the credit obsessions of the hutt species as a whole. They encountered the Second Prophet known as Korious Tharenai who took them underneath his wing to have a clear successor in mind for when he ultimately perished. Korious would train Vasal Rotspike in the art of the force and how to utilized the tribe's most deadliest spells. While Jurgamond Rotspike was trained in the way of the warrior to become a formidable fighting force on the battlefield. Korious Tharenai was slained during a conflict with the the New Imperial Order now Empire and the leadership of the tribe passed to them.

They now lead the warbands of the Techno Magorum Tribe into conflict once again for the Great Vortex

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Before the formation of the Techno Magorum Tribe, there was only Arimurkhan the Defiler. Born from the closed on the planet of Carnelion IV as Kiaus Kaspatachos, the young arimurkhan was taken from his birth parents and put to work for a local mawite cult that had managed to establish themselves on the planet. Weak and frail from lacking proper nutrition, the cult began to transform him using mutant formulas and augmentations to his form until he became the brute sorcerer that he is now.

The Brute Sorcerer now a solid believer in the Three Avatars would leave his homeworld and journey to find the Brotherhood of the Maw to pledge his loyalty to the cause of destruction and rebirth of the galaxy. Joining up with them at some point before the Mawite Destruction of Casilla, the homeworld and capital of the Chiss Ascendancy. Arimurkhan would unleash his foul sorceries in the service of the avatars, studying arcane sith texts and unlocking numerous holocrons to fuel his desire for knowledge within the force. Knowing that the maw would need more powerful sorcerers to combat the various jedi and sith orders within the galaxy, Kasatachos would take a small warband dubbed the Sorcerer's Host formed from the Bloodsworn to the east of the galaxy to raid and pillage for arcane texts and burn defendless planets to the ground. It was here on an undiscovered world that Kasatachos discovered the temple of the Great Vortex, entering inside alone because his host was busy fighting with the various natives who were putting up an impressive defense of their settlements.

Spending four hours inside, the same follower of the Three Avatars would be no more, all that remained would be Arimurkhan, the Exalted Prophet of the Great Vortex. Having believed that the great avatars were nothing more than delusions of mindless ravaging hordes, Arimurkhan would rally his Sorcerer's Host to himself and exit the east of the galaxy after pillaging and burning their way through planetary defense fleets that tried to stop them. Converting his mawite horde into the service of the Great Vortex, he would lead his assembled but ramshackled fleet of warships into the wider galaxy.

Taking several planets and swelling his numbers with devout followers. With him being listed as MIA by the brotherhood of the maw as they destroyed casilla, he was free to enter the galaxy as a renegade warlord with his small but loyal host. Emerging from hyperspace in the far reaches of space, they discovered the planet of weik and begun to occupy the planet after a fierce battle with the locals who had force powers.

Arimurkhan used his superior knowledge in sorcery and the force to wrestle the planet from their grasp, having witness their power and knowing that technology would assist them as well, the Exalted Prophet would reforge his small warband into a large warhost called the Techno Magorum named after an ancient sith warrior known as Magorum who was banished from korriban after doing a devastating ritual that nearly ruined the world. The Techno Magorum has since then managed to establish a reputation for itself both on the battlefield and within the force, assembling large legions of clockwork soldiers and awakened warriors backed up by the immense power of the spellcasters, supported by monsters and war engines of various shapes and sizes. They are not ready to strike from their base of operations into the wider galaxy. Spreading the worship of the great vortex and sacrificing those without the vortex's gift.

After 12 long years of building up a powerbase on Weik; the Death of Arimurkhan the Defiler by a Jedi Strike Team before the Shatterpoint Battle of Tython shattered the unity of the Techno Magorum Tribe. The warbands within the tribe begin to bicker amongst themselves over leadership until the Second Exalted Prophet Korious Tharenai was proclaimed due to him being the apprentice of Arimurkhan. Known as the Cursed Ashlan Crusader; Korious has rallied his warhost into the north to settle upon the world of Skraalzzar bringing into his fold the Skraal and Dwarrow armies that carry on clashing until this very day on the world.

A mighty flotilla will be raised and the flag of the Techno Magorum will expand across the stars.

The Death of the Second Exalted Prophet Korious Tharenai by the Empire brought a considerable weight down upon the techno magorum tribe. Who began to become disorganized and almost fractured until leadership was taken over by the Two Walking Disaster's known as Vascal Rotspike and Juragamond Rotspike who both trained underneath the Second Exalted Prophet. Having brought the fractured warlords underneath their dual reign through a campaign of bloodshed. They now seek to show the immense power of the Techno Magorum to the rest of the galaxy.

Nice detail on the tribe's founding and beliefs! Very interesting group.

Weik has a rich Chaos history that you may be able to tap into for future roleplay. There was a recent faction based there; you might consider looking up their members for further info and roleplay potential. You are also more than welcome to reach out to the Brotherhood of the Maw if you'd like your schism idea to lead to writing with / against them.

I'd highly recommend creating submissions for the Clockwork, Awakened, and Spellcasters if you plan to use them to warpost. The Clockwork may need a Technology submission to the Factory as well as an NPC submission. When using your tribe in combat scenarios, please remember that (per the Codex rules):

  • Only a Major Faction has the resources necessary to role-play having a large fleet, army, etc.

Your submission is Approved.

This is ready for re-approval.

  • Changed Symbol of the Tribe and awarded proper credits to its creator.
  • Major Editing within description
  • Fixed Errors within the Historical Information Section
  • Changed Base of Operation from Weik to Skraalzzar
  • Added the Second Prophet of the Vortex into the story and expanded history.

Spellcaster Warband: Force Users taken from birth and trained into service of the Techno Magorum. Using their force powers to support the tribe on the battlefield.

Clockwork Warband: Filled with Clockwork Droid Units which are droids made from gears and cogs within an eternal mantal, powered by electricity to operate as an effective front line infantry force.

Awakened Warband: Organic warriors made up of many species that are the majority of the fighting force within the tribe itself.

Unfortunately, This submission needs a little bit more in regards to these sections. For the Spellcasters and the Awakened can you please explain what other writers may come in contact with should they cross them on the battlefield? Is there a submission for either of them? What sort of abilities do the Spellcasters have? What kind of fighters are the Awakened?

Unless the Clockwork Warband is comprised of Canon Model droids without significant technical modifications (which must be linked) you must have an Approved Factory Model (which also must be linked). Until that is updated, or, any references to these droids are removed I won't be able to approve the submission. It can remain here while you make edits, or, I can move it to the Pre-Codex so you can repost it at a later time.

Let me know.

Sorry for the long delay.

I have decided to remove those sections completely for the time being until I expand the tribe with further submissions. If there is anything else that needs to be edited please let me know.
