when he gave his company to Sasori. The sword and robe are neutral force equipment that is considered a rarity among the jedi centric company. This limits some aspects of it but does add a few other chances... mostly to see what they could accomplish from a more technological standpoint over force enhancement. THey were able to use some of their more exotic materials like tetherite that would allow a force user to bond with and recall the blade to their hand with practice and skill. It would still have the problem of things within its path but as a force blade it is superior with its durability and ability to repair itself.
