New Card Types Introduced
Developed as one of the structure decks for the new expansion to Age of Chaos, Sword of Ashla is a structure deck created by Galactic Illusionary Gaming that takes heavy inspiration from the Jedi that are constantly on the frontlines: the Guardians. The deck features one of the most recent Swords of the Jedi, Ryv Karis, along with several other notable Jedi that had led forces against the Sith Empire such as
Maynard Treicolt
and
Loske Treicolt
. The deck pulls heavily on the cards created to represent the Ashlan Crusaders considering the close ties between Ryv and the founder of the Crusade,
Cedric Grayson
, who is included in this deck as a White/Red Jedi Master Legacy card after his inclusion as a Planeswalker in Age of Annihilation.
Also included in the deck is a new Force Power Action card for Enhance Attribute to quickly give your cards a boost, while many of the cards in the set gain some sort of bonus when in combat against Sith or Dark Jedi Forceful Being cards or are defending against attacks. In addition, a special card was created to once again commemorate the soldiers that served under the Treicolts, the 104th Wolfpack.
