With hostilities with the Sith Order likely to resume any day now, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant and the The Imperial Confederation have continued to develop technologies aimed at removing the advantages provided by the use of Sithspawn on the battlefield, with one of these new technologies being the so called "Swift Assault 5000". Based upon the ancient Swift Assault 5 design, the Swift Assault 5000 is primarily designed to carry a highly unusual weapons system into battle, though it can fulfill a variety of other roles as well.
That weapon is something called a Sithspawn Revitalization Projector, a device that it designed to reverse the effects of Sith Alchemy, turning Sithspawn back into their original forms. As one might imagine, such a weapon is of high interest to the Imperial Remnant and Imperial Confederation, and the Swift Assault 5000 platform was chosen to house it for future missions.
Unlike traditional Repulsorlifts, the Swift Assault 5000 is a hovercraft system, riding forth on a cushion of air to allow it to hover off of the ground. This arrangement of propulsion has both advantages and disadvantages when compared to Repulsorlifts: they are capable of operating in environments and conditions that would leave standard Repulsorlifts grounded, but cannot achieve the same level of performance that Repulsorlifts can.
As such, the Swift Assault 5000 can operate on nearly any planet where Sithspawn might be present, giving the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant and the The Imperial Confederation a potent tool in the fight against these horrible creatures.
