Stage Two - Freedom for the Common Man: Battle On Commenor

Objective: Kill or Capture [member="Lady Kay"]
Location: Palace Gardens

Gear: Vader's Bane Lightsaber, Kyrel's Harbinger Saberstaff, Raiment of the Vigilant

Kyrel kept up his onslaught, fueled by the power of the dark side and his own rage, he kept trying to land deadly blows with his blades, to her chest, to her limbs, to her head. Yet he was met with parry's The Jedi was quite resourceful, a fight that was perhaps worthy of his skill, she attempted once more to put a gap between them. Knowing that even she couldn't withstand the Harbinger for too long like all Saberstaffs, the weapon worked best when there was limited space between the wielder and its enemy.

His enemies started to converge around him, a familiar sight greeted him in the form of a Lambda class Shuttle. To his astonishment, he recognized who it was from the records of the Galactic Empire. The Former Grand Inquisitor, who had refused to be a part of what had made the Empire obsolete for so long, and that was the First Order. Flanked by Stormtroopers, and a varient of Shadow Guard. Unaware of who he or what he really was.

In between his duel more enemies approached in the form of a Jedi Knight, and armored soldiers. More Jedi combined with that of pathetic Imperials, it seemed that both he and [member="Luther Ando"] would find it unlikely to leave. Most likely they would be left behind by the First Order left to whatever fate would befall them here. Focusing once more on the Queen who shot Force Lightning at him, made of the Light Side he groaned being struck by it, but light a conductor turned it into a darker energy. Absorbing it and sending it back between that of the Shadow Guards in front of him, even sending a few stray bolts to the Jedi Marines.

Kyrel was now looking at them all, some distance between him and Kay as he tilted his head to the side. Letting out a sinister cruel laugh from the modulated Vocabulator within his helmet. Sending a transmission to [member="HK-42"] his anger in his tone apparent. "Grievous leave immediately, the mission is lost. Leave combat now... This is your Master's command."

Focusing his attention back to those surrounded of him, he twirled his blade taking a defensive stance. "If you are going to take me alive, I will make sure to cut as many of you worms down as I can!"

"That's if she leaves at all...-Knowing her, she'll want to stay put in the Palace with the rest of her people" Caedyn spoke under his breath as he watched the outside world, their new Transport carrying them the rest of the way towards the central hub of government across the world, the Palace Grounds. Thanks to their Silver friends, Caedyn followed suit and took a moment to lean back against the wall of the vessel, placing his shield arm atop his lap in order to relax the muscles that had been carrying the Buckler for so long. By no means was it a full body shield, there were still plenty of openings in combat, but it was hefty enough for a lad his age.

"I hope Lori's alright up there with Dad, once the fighting's finished in Orbit then any ground troops will be cut off from evacuating..." it was a hopeful suggestion, offering an alternative potential win to what was likely to be his Mom being stubborn and staying put on their home-world. Caedyn had to assume that by "hanger-ons", [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] meant his Mom's likely allies or people trying to protect her. If anything today had proven anything, it was that Commenor still had a great deal of allies willing to protect and fight alongside them. Between the Silver Jedi, Clan Australis, The Republic and remnants from the Galactic Alliance, they'd all proven that there was still some justice left in the Galaxy and that there were still those ready to fight off the Sith.

In the thick of it. Isn’t that what father always called it? Dysnomia didn’t really know what he meant by that phrase until now. The air around her felt thick and heavy like a bowl of mounder potato rice soup, the consistency of porridge with an even blander taste. She did not know it, but the Force pressed into her causing her legs to feel heavy and her breathing to slow. There were so many strong Jedi, Sith and Ren in the area that the girl had trouble processing all of the strange feelings and emotions generated by the stray energy.

Dysnomia adjusted her repulsor lift skates and floated out of the room.

Wait… was that a kitty?

The young witch searched around her pocket for a piece of string or anything else that a cat might want to play with. She’d never really seen a cathar before, and assumed that it would enjoy things that a feline would enjoy.

She heard the clatter of Cenn Kothari behind her.

Whirling around, Dysnomia asked, “Now what?” Around too many adults, the young witch would shut tight like a clam and let others do the talking.

-- The bay doors to his shuttle opened and the smell was the first to hit him over the ungodly sight he was greeted with. A mix of a sulfur and burnt earth gas felt like it warped the inner workings of his nose. Unable to properly handle the smell he lifted his sleeved arm to his nose and defended against the attack. The next thing he was greeted with when opening his eyes was the black smoke of a burnt building and continued blaster fire.

-- One of the Republic Troopers tapped into the Vice Chancellors Communication. "Sir, it is still to dangerous here, we should return to the station."

-- Tobias just waved him off with his free hand, closing his eyes and dropped his shielding arm. His stare more then a million miles away looking at every detail of the battle below. "No Lieutenant, its not safe anywhere in this galaxy." The yelling and fighting below only made the politician shake his head. "Get me to the command station at the college."

-- The shuttle went into a dive and Tobias continued to stand strong in the face of gravity taking over their decent. Being a Merc in his previous life, this was nothing out of the ordinary. The sight of the once blue and beautiful skies of this beautiful planet now having a black and red smoke angerly hovering in its place. Towers and buildings that housed the most peaceful people in the galaxy were now broken and shattered. He only hopped that their spirits were not the same and they were still a strong cohesive people that he meet some years before. The mass of the Shuttle shifted again as they were now coming into a landing at the college where before it even was stable the Vice Chancellor stepped off with ease.

-- "Vice Chancellor, what are you doing here, Colonel Drox is not expecting you and this i-" A Republic Officer had walked up to stop the politician. However, Tobias ignored the man and walked into the the Communications Tent. "Damn it."

-- Tobias tapped on the table next to one of the radio operators and grabbed his attention, "Give me Republic Command Communication Channel," The operator nodded and modified the terminal, once he was done the microphone was handed over. "Republic Troopers the Sith and First Order Fleets have retreated, increase suppression of occupation forces and get control of the city, Commenorian Regulars will have to clear outside the city so respond to request for aid, Protocol Initiative Eight is still in effect, minimal damage to civilian structures and shelters, no policing, we are here to get these peoples planet back, have uniformed enforcers stand down and secure zones that have been cleared by the army."

-- A wave of clicks over the communications came through with acceptance of the new orders. General Halle trained these troops well.

-- He had the operator switch the channel to Open Channel, "This is Vice Chancellor of the New Republic, Tobias Dracks, Resistance Allies have secured the Capital City of Commenor, Enemy Forces are to stand down and surrender to Allied Checkpoints and protected under Commenorian Law, I repeat, Allied Forces have secure Chasin City, and both First Order and Sith Fleets have evacuated and retreated from this sector of space, Surrender to fight another day troopers."

Well her personal cloaking device seemed to be of no use. Somehow she was still seen. So she turned it off to save the energy pack.

With the distance between her and Kyrel achieved, she reignited her blade, the light crimson colour that bordered on pink soon reflected off the armour of.....

...Wow...

Kay was so focused on her duel that she didn't notice all of the soldiers, guards and troops that had converged all around them. Kyrel seemed to have noticed, for he sent some of her lightning back at them.

"Surrender yourself, Darksider, and I will guarantee that you will be returned to those that you work for unharmed. Hand over your weapons and--"

Her words were suddenly cut off by the sound of a massive explosion. After falling through the atmosphere, half of the CSA Resolute had finally crashed into the Twin Canyons just a few kilometers from the Royal Palace. The ground shook, in what seemed to be a mild tremor. But that wasn't the worst of it. A shockwave could be seen quickly approaching.

"--BRACE YOURSELVES!!!"

For safety she shut off her lightsaber again, then widened her stance in a hope to ride out the shockwave. Any ships in the area had better be quick to get out of the way, lest they be expelled from the sky.

OOC Note: Old post, I know, but I still had to add it.

Grevious was facing away from the Mandalorian when he heard not only the swing of a Lightsaber, but the shot of a blaster of some kind. Although he was able to deflect the bolt in time, the swing, on the other hand, did connect but didn't do much to his leg. He was going to strike back when he heard the Message his Master, [member="Kyrel Ren"], sent him. Leave Immediately. The Battle was lost. "Yes, Master." He said aloud before looking to the blade from before. He decided to take it anyway, as a Momento of this battle. He ran towards the blade that the Mandalorian called Kad'kyramud and snatched it from the ground, running off from the Gardens and off to his Master's ship, which he was going to wait at. Grevious ran fast enough to outrun the Mando, and if he did catch up, then he could just use his Jetpack to get some distance between them. As he ran past Kyrel Ren's position with the Vibroblade, he yelled out "I'll meet you on the Ship Master! If you wind up dead, I'll report your death to your Superior!" This would be the last thing he said before making his way back to the ship and losing the Mando, Being defeated in combat since he ran, but taking the price of the Mando's mistake with him.

The proton artillery bombardment ripped up duracrete and palace wall as it curled around the Palace gates, twisting metal as the torpedoes came crashing down like a hailstorm on equal parts Silver Jedi Marine, Commenori Soldier, Mandalorian and Bryn'adûl Crusader.

The shockwave that followed only served to amplify the destruction.

Bodies burst like fruits under the sheer kinetic force of the bombardment, small buildings and half of the palace collapsed into heaps of rubble around the Palace Garden and the men fighting within. Many were dead, the Mandalorians and Bryn'adûl stood mostly still in rank. Their beskar protected them, whilst the Bryn'aduls heat resistant flesh turned them into badly burnt and disfigured creatures.

Nonetheless, the Bryn'adûl Horde continued. They cared not for injury, nor for death. But to serve the will of their Chieftain.

Crashing up, and out of three feet of rubble; Tathra had his com activated on his gauntlet. His eyes observed as almost all of his own Brutes and the Mandalorians had been buried under the rubble, a thick vapour of ash and smoke filled the air.

"[Draelvasier]: Hel Shards on my waypoints. Now!" Soon, the Brutes followed; their metal shells and heat resistant skin allowing them to easily shrug off the heat as they continued to move forward, however struggling under the thick rubble. Two Hel Shards landed both within the Palace Gardens and nearby the Mandalorian Artillery sites. From each shard was released ten Brutes and ten Drones, all fully armoured and carrying their heavy weaponry.

The Brutes leaving the Shards nearby the Artillery would use their thrusters to quickly board the slow moving vehicles and attempt to commandeer them. In the Palace Gardens, a total of twenty of the Bryn'adûl Brutes and twenty Drones swarmed into the Palace Gardens, opening fire at [member="Lady Kay"], [member="Kyrel Ren"] and all within.

Tathra's eyes observed as the drop pods released an assortment of Mandalorians between him, his seven Brutes and the Garden. "[Draelvasier]: Kill them! Rip their from their petty shells!" Tathra barked his Command as his Eight and the Mandalorians Sixteen moved to climb and push their way out of the rubble to reach their commander.

Tathra dashed forward, keeping a steady pace as the force charged his feet; moving nearly a metre in the blink of an eye as his Mace swung with his speed, crashing into three of the Canis Brigadier as they moved between Tathra and their Commander; the kinetic shockwave either killing or knocking them a few metres back.

Tathra slammed his Mace into the ground a foot away from Sigurd, allowing a dark rage to empower the shockwave that would hopefully knock Sigurd off his feet or crashing back toward his pod.

[Our atmospheric forces are here, sir.]
Two Providence-class light destroyers had broken through the lower cloud layer, and now loomed directly above the city's spires. Their three escort cruisers also remained unscathed, and the five vessels joined the Empire Reborn's fleet in their barrage. Missiles soared over the palace itself as the larger Destroyers rooted out the last of the Sith air support. Even more missiles impacted the streets of Commenor, eliminating the last of the Sith soldiers while avoiding civilians as much as possible.

At last, one of the Providences hovered a kilometer above the castle, its form darkening the gardens where the most significant fighting was occurring. The Destroyer did not fire even near the castle, its captain knowing the cost of friendly fire or even just disrupting friendly property. Instead, the ship's crew waited for an opportunity.

The third phase of Rick's plan had begun. Now, a the humming of the engines of a single A-10 LAAT could be heard behind Rick. Turning around, he found the gunship, quickly descending from five meters to half a meter off the ground. Two dozen armored Mon Calamari soldiers hopped out, pointing assault rifles at the two Sith. Rick withdrew his lightsaber and instead equipped a pistol attached to his belt, pointing it at the Sith engaging the Queen of Commenor.

"Multiple factions have surrounded you, and Commenor is no longer a Sith refuge." growled Rick. "You can surrender now, or we will guarantee you are punished for your sins."

There wasn't time to see if the missile was going to strike where he had aimed at. Instead, his opponent was powering through the air right to him. But even so, the settling dust would act as cover, at least, slightly enough to temporarily obscure his vision as he drew the Ripper from its holster. Small, but deadly, against an armour like that though? Magnus wasn't sure what was going to happen if he fired a shot.

But he'd be damned if he didn't get a chance to.

He's faster than I thought.

It was the last coherent thought that went through his head when the larger armoured form crashed into his body, bringing them both tumbling down to the ground, much faster than he had originally been planning for.

The Ripper raised up into his opponent's midsection while he still could.

His finger depressed on that trigger in the direction of that armoured beast's midsection, just as they crashed into the rubble covered streets.

It appeared as though Tathra had regained his feet quicker than his opponent, far quicker. The Mandalorian leader in his metal cage of armour was like a rock, blade embedded in the ground as he held against the storm; his blade and body only shifting a few inches in response to the repulse of energy.

A wasted effort on Tathra's part. Still, his opponent was moving to his feet as Tathra moved, lurched as he freed his Mace from its place amongst the rubble at Sigurd's feet. The Mandalorian moved with speed greater than his comrades, but he wasn't quicker than his predatory senses. Tathra saw what was underneath the guise of a metal warrior, nothing but flesh.

Tathra moved as he stood, watching his metal arm rear back as he swung his blade. The metre long weapon came swinging for Tathra's arms, however the titan had risen to his feet when his foe had attempted to strike. Tathra had range on his side, raising his Mace's greater length to meet Sigurd's weapon.

His Mace, held in his right hand met the energy sword shortly into the Mandalorians' swing, the shaft of his mace pressed against its hilt; attempting to halt the weapon in its tracks before the Mandalorians momentum could carry through. At the same time as he took to his feet against his opponent, his left hand moved shot upward in a blur of motion to grasp around Sigurd's throat, and if successful, his Gladius would extend through it.

As soon as Kyrel deflected the lightning towards them, the Shadow Guardsmen immediately raised their saber pikes in defence, absorbing the oncoming influx of energy into their blades. They retaliated swiftly. Each Shadow Guard was an experienced wielder of the Dark Side in their own right, but working in unison? That was another matter entirely. Each guardsman drew upon their power, attempting to grasp and each take a hold of one of Kyrel's limbs with the force to restrain him and prevent movement. "Lightning. Really? Very well, but do let me show you how a true master wields such power.", Morcus said in a definitely not amused tone of voice.

Morcus's visage suddenly took on a pale complexion, his eyes glowing red with the corruption of the dark side as he drew forth the true scope of his power. Thrusting his hands forward towards Kyrel, he unleashed a powerful, violent torrent of crimson force lightning into his body, a sign of one deeply infused with such dark power. The lightning sought to painfully agonise every muscle and nerve in Kyrel's body, Morcus attempting to bring him into utter submission. "You will submit, fool. Victory belongs to us this day!", he spoke, his voice deepened and echoing in this darker state of being.

They were gone, all the fighters. Silfe struggled to take a deep breath and coughed. It sounded like a Bantha bark, gravely and deep. Her hand covered the bruised skin of her neck though she was careful in touching the tender flesh there. It was possible the Sith, [member="Kyrel Ren"] had done some damage to her beyond depriving her of life giving oxygen. She was dizzy and laid against the area under the desk trying to regain her nerve. She was shaking and weak. Whatever had happened to throw Kyrel back had left her drained even more than his strangle hold had done. She sat, curled up and struggling while battles both large and small raged outside in the sky and on the ground.

Several minutes passed before she felt steady enough to attempt to get up, to crawl out of her hiding spot and try to find people. Silfe felt a little cowardly hiding injured under the desk, not knowing that her attack however inadvertent and unconscious, had bought [member="Lady Kay"] time. Before she could however, an explosion rocked the Palace. Her hands shot out to hold on as the walls and floors moved in alarming ways. She... was terrified and had no idea what to do except hold on for dear life. Her eyes widened as she looked out the balcony and could see the descent she was now a part of happening. While she was not in the section completely obliterated into tiny pieces, she was far from being out of danger. The durasteel around her broke around her in massive chunks. The desk slid along the floor taking her with it. It came to rest against the outer wall of Kay's Office and there she remained pinned in a pocket of air with floor, desk and wall all around her. She was tossed around like a doll and screamed in fear and pain.

As the destruction of the palace settled, Silfe opened her dark eyes. She was injured, she knew... badly. In the darkness of her entrapment, she could not see to examine the extent of her injuries, but she felt pain all over. Some was more sharp, some more dull and throbbing. Tears fell freely from dust encrusted eyes and she coughed. Fire lanced through her throat and her lungs. She gasped in shock and coughed again. Laying her head back on the hard surface, she breathed carefully so as not to irritate her lungs and throat further. She had no idea when rescue would be coming, if it would come at alll, but she was in no shape to rescue herself.

Objective: Kill or Capture Lady Kay Survive
Enemies: [member="Silfe Sosuri"] [member="Drystan Marakos"]

Kyrel was surrounded by enemy forces, and even though high in the sky he saw what looked to be a Rebel flagship, it had crashed over near the mountains, which would no doubt send a shockwave, he planted a firm stance to remain grounded, his eyes trailing all over his enemies, he had sent his droid away, by now all he could assume was that First Order forces had left, and now he was the only one. Being perhaps the last man standing did not bother him in the slightest, he was however quite curious as to what the enemy might do to him.

One thing was for certain despite the words of both [member="Lady Kay"] and [member="Rick Kaloo"]. He would not surrender, they would have to forcibly capture him, and even then could they even hope to take him in without suffering any casualties. Now that would be a challenge, Kyrel did not dignify either of them with a verbal response, only making his choice by keeping his weapon raised. If need be he would cut them all down before giving up.

The Shadow Guards that belonged to the former Grand Inquisitor made the predictable move of blocking his attack. The old fool then proceeded to think he had power, by launching a violent bolt that was red Force lightning towards Kyrel. Kyrel didn't block it however he welcomed it, the pain engulfing him setting his pain receptors into overdrive. His armor could only take so much, but this is what Kyrel wanted. The Enforcer of Ren was not some mere low-class warrior, he was a Master of Ren, one of Sieger Ren's chosen elite.

What the Inquisitor didn't know as the same as Vader's Bane, Kyrel's Harbinger saberstaff doubled the pain and agony inflicted. Not only did he experience excruciating agony that made the blast of Force Lightning seem as if it was only a stab, but the fact that both weapons that caused such agony had allowed him to amplify his strength in the dark side. At first, allowing the bolt to strike him, he seemed to writhe in pain but then not a moment later looked to absorb the dark energy, the agony caused by both of his weapons, increasing his strength allowed to turn the bolt into dark energy that bent to his will. The red bolt that had showered him in violent destructive energy started to turn inwards as if Kyrel had used the pain, his agony as a pure conductor for the dark side of the force.

What had transpired next was a surprise even for Kyrel, as the dark energies he absorbed combined with the raw emotions and feelings of pain, rage, and hatred transformed into a bubble around, him the dark energy grew until an even bigger field. His feet grounded the attempts made by the shadow guards useless, as within an instant the field first launched a telekinetic barrage around him. Followed by bolts of lightning. The chain reaction unleashed by [member="Baron Morcus"] caused to be an undoing. As Kyrel's first manifestation of Force Maelstrom took place. Himself fueled by pain and the raw powerful energy he absorbed from Morcus unleashed tenfold into a violent attack, if not disintegrating Jedi Marines, and Imperial Stormtroopers, and Shadowguards alike. Sent them flying if not the enemies such as the Queen or the Mon Calamari Jedi as well.

Kyrel had no words, as the bubble dissipated. His armor and robes with it were now a char black color due to the violent energy unleashed by Morcus, yet he still remained standing, yet he didn't know how long his armor could sustain. Around him the ground was scorched, as bodies of Imperials and Jedi alike were either flung across the area or disintegrated. He would prove to still be a tough foe to defeat. Looking at the Inquisitor he spoke his voice filled with venom. "Yet here I stand. Unlike you, I am more than a match where I do not need soldiers to aid me."

Objective : Become Charlie the Dragon Slayer

Engaging : [member="Tathra Khaeus"]

Charlie went on her own, she was able to keep low to the ground, hidden with the shadow armor she wore. Quiet feet allowed her to move around the battlefield for the most part unnoticed. Every so often, she needed to drag an enemy solider into the bush subdued so she could continue onward without anyone noticing. As she loomed closer she took a scan of the battle area, it seemed like the Mandalorians were on their side this go around, it was quite the interesting sight – confusing, but interesting.

The pair of hammers remained on her back as she tried to see how far [member="Drystan Marakos"] had gone, but it seemed the woman had her own agenda. Charlie wiped her nose with the back of her hand as she looked back towards the large lizard looking man. Her little face lit up with glee as she watched him move. He was a formidable opponent, though it seemed someone else had engaged him. No matter, she would help – he reminded her of dragons and she had always wanted to fight one.

She moved quietly, while each hand grasped a handle of the hammers. Rubble from the palace surrounded the area leading to the dragon man. She crouched using her lack of height to her advantage. Charlie needed to get close, when she had the opportunity, she focused her mind using the force to solidify and fuel her body. With Force body helping the padawan, she poked her head out and charged forward from the left flank of the dragon man. Hammers raised and her speed increasing by means of the force she slid with one leg slightly tucked under the other in full control of her momentum, while he was occupied aiming to take out his ankles with the hammers.

The fresh Brutes that poured into the Palace Gardens alongside the Drones overwhelmed the tired and beaten Commenori and Jedi soldiers, they're animalistic brutality overwhelming even the fiercest foe. The Brutes used their thrusters to draw close, savaging any who came in their way, those who stayed behind used their LMG's to rain down a scorching rain of plasma on all caught in the crossfire.

In the midst of rubble the Golden armoured man moved back, his only option to redirect himself as Tathra had him stuck in the midst of his plan. A deep cry came from his opponent as he turned his arms to swing from Tathra's left, aiming for the head. Tathra's arm was tense as his foe pulled himself back from his grasp; as his other hand worked to slid the Mace's pole between his lefts fingers.

Stepping back with his left foot, his right turning on the heel to position himself. With the twist of his right wrist a length of nearly three feet of metal moved to his left hand in a flash as his upper torso turned with his left arm pulling back to throw the Mace forward in his enemies direction, the head of the Mace moved to meet Sigurd's arcing blade as it came into the strength of its strike. A guttural grunt left Tathra as he thrust the head of the Mace toward his opponents weapon, striking at the lower half of the weapon as his body lurching into the swing as his momentum carried through.

If the weapons collided, the Golden Mandalorian would not only clash with Tathra's own mettle but a powerful shockwave releasing from his weapon, equal to the strength put behind the swing. It would very likely disarm his opponent, and at the very least shatter every bone in his lower arm.

It was at that moment a small thump collected against both of Tathra's legs as two blunt instruments collided against his well armoured legs, causing him to stagger. Tathra had intended on following up his strike against the Mandalorian with another, but instead he instinctively shot a foot back, turning to see whatever had tried to proverbially nibble on his ankle.

On the other side of the battlefield, the forty Bryn'adûl that had landed by the artillery batteries had managed to destroy one of the batteries; but were ultimately outgunned and wiped out in a matter of moments after the batteries destruction.

The CSA Resolute's devastating crash planetside, coupled with the sudden & violent reaction to Morcus' dark assault, knocked many of her marines flat; with powerful bolts of lightning slamming into a number of the SJO Warriors and knocking Drystan to the ground. The pulse of lightning which had struck her was drawn in, and she allowed it to pulse through her body & down her legs, out of her and into the ground. The robotic Synthetics which comprised part of her marine fighting force were mostly rendered inoperative, and in the prior airstrike, some of her forces were destroyed or rendered unavailable.

Fighting for breath, Drystan struggled to regain her feet, reaching for her rifle and bringing it to hand as all her senses screamed "FIGHT!" - and fight, she did. The report of her rifle began as she rallied her remaining troopers; the Carbine itself was protected against electrical attacks which might otherwise fry its' circuitry, and she began to fire upon any attacking brutes which might overwhelm or slip beyond [member="Kaine Australis"] and his Mandolorians. In the distance, [member="Charlie Nooran"] and the Warmaster were heavily engaged with a great beast - within the Gardens, the blonde Jedi Knight was at war.

She silently cursed [member="Baron Morcus"] for his foolishness... Now, instead of rising above [member="Kyrel Ren"]'s desire to slay them all, the Dark Jedi Master had fed into the rage, only making the situation worse. It was time to go home...

"Sparrow! This is Sentinel! Our Forces are heavily engaged, requesting immediate Evac on my position!"

Tossing her spent carbine aside, Drystan turned to her melee weapons - activating her Ancile shield & lightsaber, its' purple blade springing forth and rising to defend herself from all-out assault. A quick scan of the battlefield allowed her to locate The Queen of Commenor, who was nearby, and Drystan fought her way to the woman, fending off attackers as she went - channeling, in her mind, a communication through The Force to her allies: [member="Rick Kaloo"], [member="Charlie Nooran"], [member="Alkor Centaris"], and others; it was time to go.

Drystan's remaining Marines rallied around her, joining the fight with hellish fervor. The Jedi Knight gathered [member="Lady Kay"], allowing the Sith & The Mandalorians to fight it out on their own terms. [member="Jyoti Nooran"]

Morcus was briefly caught off guard by the oncoming Force Maelstrom unleashed by Kyrel Ren, as were many of his Shadow Guardsmen, several of whom immediately disintegrated by the unleashed power, while others were merely blasted away, falling unconscious. The former Grand Inquisitor was sent skidding back by the force of the blast, his cloak and armour singed and his skin lightly burned in places. He dropped to one knee, grunting slightly. Then, all of a sudden, laughter escaped his lips. He arose from the ground, a smirk formed upon his face. "Impressive. Most impressive. At last, a fight that might be worthy of my time.", he said with a degree of respect to Kyrel.

He threw off his cloak casually, before retrieving the Inquisitorial Lightsaber hilt attached to his back. He drew forth the complicated weapon, igniting both blades before adopting an offensive stance. He moved forward swiftly, with the speed of one a fraction of his age. His blades began spinning around the hilt like some sort of saw between blows, as he unleashed a relentless, merciless assault upon the Knight of Ren with his blade, attempting to unleash blow upon blow at him and his defences, not allowing any time for his opponent to recuperate. For all of Kyrel's rage and hate currently fuelling him, Morcus knew his opponent could not sustain such might indefinitely....

Just as Rick was about to correct the Imperial Sith's methods, a brilliant explosion knocked him off his feet.
His soldiers were either fried or knocked back substantially by the powerful blast, and Rick struggled to get up, even with his prosthetic legs holding up to the damage.

The Imperial Sith, while a help in the space battles above Commenor, had made a simple mistake in his arrogance. He had given the other Sith exactly what he wanted, his pain fueling his power until he released it to devastating effect. There was already enough of an allied presence to cause the Sith to submit or at least retreat, but the Imperial's ambition got the best of him. Rick just wished the man had waited another second, in which Rick could have caused the Imperial to see the Sith's trap or at least diverted the man. But it was too late, and the allies of liberation would pay.

Evac. A voice he recognized as that of [member="Drystan Marakos"] spoke to him through his head, signalling that the time had come to flee with the Queen. Then, Rick replied with his own voice in the Force, one he had only learned to properly use recently.

My gunship is still intact, get in! We don't have much time before the Sith come here and destroy our only chance of escape, so grab the Queen and go! As soon as the shuttle takes off, I'm taking all of us to the safety of my Destroyer above the castle.

Then, Rick made hand gestures for his remaining soldiers to follow, laying down cover with their assault rifles as they bolted to the scratched but functioning gunship. They jumped in, and the pilot, still in the cockpit, started the engines without any hesitation. Rick jumped in as the shuttle slowly gained altitude, until it was about a meter above the ground. The horizontal engines were to be activated any second, to guarantee a swift escape from the rapidly decaying warzone. The castle was now filled with Sith and Jedi alike, armored Mandalorians and massive, brutal creatures. It was not somewhere Rick would stay for long, especially with one of his own Destroyers looming just a kilometer above the castle.

It was eerily quiet in the dark of her small bubble. She lay against one side of the desk, tears falling down her face, burning trails of emotion through the durasteel dust that had settled there. A little light slashed jagged into her small space. This meant she wasn't far from the surface but every attempt to move the rubble around her cost her precious energy and she could feel herself bleeding more when she tried. Attempts to call out were met with blinding pain in her throat and barely more than a whisper coming from her.

I could just remain here... I would not be missed, she thought to herself, allowing her darker and most dismal thoughts to fill her mind at last. There are countless people probably trapped along with me. I am no more special than them... probably less so. She had to half laugh at that, even though it came out as more of a sob than she would care to admit. She didn't technically work for Commenor anymore. She had no family. [member="Bradshaw Ku"] was missing. [member="Jairdain"] was likely off helping someone in the city, as was [member="Darlyn Excron"]. [member="Lady Kay"] was quite busy handling Sith problems. Her children were hopefully far from danger though knowing her family... they were probably just as much in the fray as Lady Kay was. [member="Veiere Arenais"] had only met her a handful of times. She was likely not on his radar during the best of times, much less during battle.

So she laid back and closed her eyes. It was hard to let go of the despair, but she had been able to detach herself from her suffering for many a year... perhaps that was the only bright side to a tortuous father. Jairdain had said she could train to use her new abilities. Perhaps she could try to put out a call for help to those who were force sensitive? She didn't know how to do that... or how to reach that part of her that had thrown off the Sith earlier.

While she sat there in the dimness, she directed her mind to call out like her voice in an impassioned plea, repeating it over and over in her mind and thinking in a way she hoped would be very loud. It might not work, but she was willing to try.

Kay braced herself as well as she could against the shockwave sent out by the crash of the Resolute deep in the Twin Canyons. Still her body flew into some of the guards protecting her. Thankfully her light armour protected her from the kinetic force of flying into the soldiers. She got up onto her feet and observed the chaos all around. Soldiers from both sides, strange Brutes that fought so relentlessly had also joined the fray. Her Palace was half destroyed, partly crumbled into piles of stone and rubble. Where was Kaine? A quick look around and she found him, fighting a large creature of a man.

And there in the center of it was Baron Morcus and Kyrel Ren engaged in combat. Or rather...in a power contest. Most often Kay had seen Morcus in war rooms and on his ships taking command of his navy fleet. To see him on the ground in battle was an eye opener for her. It made her wonder if she had reasons to be concerned.

Hopefully not.

The sudden burst of energy from Kyrel sent her flying back into more soldiers after she had only just regained her footing moments earlier. The heat stung the cuts on her face from when Kyrel had backhanded her. But that wasn't the only issue.

Kay's suit was great against kinetic energy, lightning and some blaster fire; but what it couldn't stop was one if two things. The first was lightsabers, so she had to be mindful of avoiding being struck by one. And the other was impalements or stabs by sharp metal objects, such as the tip of a pike that found it's way into her abdomen as she landed on another group of soldiers after Kyrel's blast of energy.

Her world went nearly silent then, much in the same way that it does when one got too close to a bomb or grenade explosion. But that was only due to shock entering her system as her mind processed the the pike's blade sticking into her. Slowly Kay stood up, her free hand clutching the wound once the blade was out. Blood began to seep through her gloved fingers. The first face that she looked at was Drystan's as the Jedi approached with her men. "I need to get to...I need a...medic..." She needed to get to safety, to a quiet place where she can get patched up so that she could rejoin the fight. Or at least co-ordinate.

Meanwhile, in the Palace, Olivia was beside herself. Not only for the mess and utter destruction of her home, for being covered in dust, but as well as in her shame for not having any combat training whatsoever to help keep that home safe from invaders.

A voice was heard then. A cry. And it seemed to come from Kay's office. Olivia snapped her fingers and gave non-verbal signals for one of the Mandalorian soldiers to follow her. Then Olivia ran. Yes, she ran as fast as her senior years would allow her to, up the steps and to the broken doorway of the Queen's office. Bookshelves had toppled, half of the ceiling had collapsed. Still the voice was heard.

"Help is here! Where are you?!" Olivia searched for movement, searched for clues, as did the soldier that had followed her. She had no idea that it was Silfe under that desk that was buried under debris.
