- Fortifies the wearer’s mind against Force Suppression via a tuned mental shield.
- Protects the wearer against attempts at severing their connection to the Force by reinforcing their strength of will, in the manner of Force Body, thereby sustaining their connection to the Force. However, this is not a passive effect and only “activates” when an attempt at severing the wearer’s sensitivity to the Force is made.
- Anti-Mage Hunter: Grants the wearer an extreme resistance to Sever Force and Force Suppression, abilities which would otherwise be capable of severing their connection to the Force.
- Stuck in Anchor: The Spirit Anchor will in turn, nullify any of the wearer’s own attempts at severing or suppressing an opponent’s connection to the Force, unless the device is destroyed.
- Lizard Bane: The talisman is optimized to defend against Force-based attempts to cut off the wearer’s connection to the Force. As such, it can not protect the wearer’s connection to the Force in the presence of Ysalamiri-generated Force-neutral fields or Void Stone.
- Focus on the Track: A sustained and focused effort to sever the wearer’s connection to the Force by several Force-users can possibly break down (and eventually break through) the talisman’s defenses, at which point, the wearer’s only defense against such powers will likely be their own willpower or endurance. It goes without saying that a more efficient option is attempting to destroy the device outright, which is vulnerable to most, if not all conventional methods of attack.
- Purification by Fire: By itself, the Spirit Anchor is vulnerable to Force Light or its derivative powers.
Developing her skills as a novice alchemist and enchantress, after finishing her work on the Supernal Infusion, the Sister sought to begin learning the arts of imbuement and working with Sith Runes. In doing so, she sought to craft a talisman that would aid her in facing opponents capable of severing her connection to the Force, especially after a training duel against Alina Tremiru, in which the woman’s ability to break her connection to the Force seemingly at will left her relatively helpless owing to her small size and lack of skill with a lightsaber. Seeking to protect herself against this in the future, the Sister began work on Spirit Anchor, talismans intended to assist her in defending against attempts to sever her connection to the Force. Much like her work on the Supernal Infusion, the Sister took advantage of the privileges afforded to her as one of Carnifex’s apprentices, allowing her to make use of Malsheem’s laboratories in pursuing her work.
Eventually, the Sister finished her first design, built as a choker for herself. From there, the Sister quickly created more, gifting one to her idol and mentor, Laertia Io, with plans to give away or sell others.
