OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Common wisdom dictates that attempting to run through a wall is foolish - unless you are a wizard. Apex disagrees.
By 'realigning wavelengths' and 'showing space-time who's boss' the Spectre-series allows your Average Joe to replicate the feats of arrogant Sith and sanctimonious Jedi! All they need is a hefty wallet, connections with the technological grey market, and the ability to comprehend the user manual. There probably isn't even a risk of being shunted into Otherspace and [REDACTED] by [REDACTED], unlike in earlier prototypes!
Alternatively, you could rob a buyer and throw away the user manual before randomly tinkering with the settings. Fortune favours the bold! Go forth and Cronenberg yourself! Preferably while recording, of course; data does not collect itself.
- Intent: Be the Kool-Aid Man, but with less property damage!

- Spectre-series Personal Phase Modules are arcane, black-boxed devices that allow users to pass through most forms of matter. They can be calibrated in a variety of different ways - for safety reasons, a user override is required to fall through a floor (or a planetary crust). Unless something goes wrong. As with any reality-defying device created by mad scientists, a degree of caution is advised.
- By default, these devices only affect the wearer and their equipment. Messing with the settings can result in the user phasing out without their clothing. Conversely, it is possible (and more practical) to bring external objects and even lifeforms alongside you, under the right circumstances; at a bare minimum, continuous physical contact is required.
- Selective Intangibility: Walk through walls, shift parts of your body out of phase to evade an attack, etc. How convenient!
- Restrictive Intangibility: The inability to interact with matter while fully phased goes both ways, the process isn't necessarily instant, certain materials and forms of shielding are impermeable, and some energy weapons can injure phased users.
- Unpredictable Displacement: Exiting phase while inside an object (or a person) is potentially inadvisable.
