HISTORY
Sophelia is the younger sister to Helios Ardemark and the second heir to House Pelagia. She is the second oldest child of Lord Athos and Lady Malana Ardemark, born in the City of Pelagar, the capital of Pelagon and Pelagia Province around it. Like her brother,
Helios Ardemark
, and being of noble birth, she was richly educated in all manner of things: histories, fencing, painting, leadership, politics, commerce, negotiations, etc. At a young age, Soph discovered her love for biology and anatomy and soon became aware of her own force sensitivities when it came to healing. Fearful of disappointing her mother and father and not quite understanding her new gifts,she kept her connection to the force a secret. It wasn't until her brother enlisted for the second time with the Alliance marines did she become brave enough to come forward.And the timing didn't work out.
She had obligations to the family and to the house to fulfill while her brother was away. They were in the middle of a growing war. And her father was sick. She was encouraged not to speak about her force aptitude. This was around the time that Soph began seeking other means to 'let off steam.' Always good with reflexes and craving speed, she began to find underground speed-bike races. Disguising her appearance, she became known as one of the best up-and-coming racers.
It was a charming life, even though she craved to learn more. Sparkling oceans, beaches, and classes during the day. Parties and illegal races at night. Still, she felt empty. This was about the time she began volunteering at local clinics. Even as her connection to the force called to her. Its calling growing ever more insistent. She wrote to her brother often during this time and confided in him. She'd also get his advice about boys-boys-BOYS.
When her brother returned, things went from bad to worse. Their father died from illness. One she could not save him from. The Alliance collapsed. The Sith came, infiltrating one of the other houses and setting them apart, rumors circled around one

being the cataclysm.Soph and her brother fled to the Southern Systems, seeking refuge in the High Republic and leading what was left of the Tapani people. She recognizes she owes a debt to
Aurelian Veruna
for the King's role in aiding the fleeing refugees. Though her brother took the brunt of the leadership, Sophelia also felt a growing weight of responsibility of her shoulders. Because she knew what it was like to lose almost everything in one night.
