I nominate @[member="Sochi Ru"] to be a Jedi Master.
The reasons for this nomination are explained below.
The three biggest qualities of those that receive caps at SWRP are the following: Penmanship, Creativity, and Motivation.
Penmanship is simple one's ability to write. As a play-by-post roleplay site, the ability to effectively convey a character's actions is required. When I read Sochi Ru's posts even at her beginnings at SWRP, I find no difficulty in understand her character's actions and effects in roleplay. I've always thought that if Sochi remains to be an active member of the community, then the character will surely reach Master just on the judgement of her penmanship. I'm certain that others will find no objection to the clarity of her posts.
Creativity is the second core quality of those deserving promotions. Simply put, it's whether or not there is some freshness to the character - some life in it rather than a boring carbon copy of a popular fictional character. Sochi has always been the stereotypical Jedi - conservative, calm, collected. Yet, it's clear that the Writer gives some thought to this character. Sochi's in character speech is usually very formal - or at least as formal as one can get in the English language. Her apparent inspiration - Shaak Ti - is easily noticed in the character. Yet, it is a fresh adaptation I have heard no complaints about and one clearly tied together with the unique lore of SWRP.
Motivation is the final core - as it usually is the last to be accomplished. Motivation is quite varied as it could manifest is many different ways. I see it in Sochi for the following: she actively participates in Faction threads when she can and also reaches out to roleplay with many members of the Republic through private threads. Sochi is one that does not sit back and wait for the action. The Writer takes the character and reaches out to people and attempts to do stuff - and if things are slow, she creates a private thread with a Republic member and has fun.
With how Sochi exhibits these three qualities, I have no doubt that she would make an excellent Jedi Master for the Republic.

Please compare this to my resume of threads that got me Master and you will see that Sochi has reached a level of activity greater than I did at the time that I received Master.
For those that abstain, I sincerely ask you all to make a definitive yes/no vote in this thread. You know whether or not you want Sochi as a Master. If you have a serious, personal reason for abstaining, I will not blame you. Yet, I feel as if many abstained to avoid telling Sochi their true vote or the reason behind it.
For those that would say that Sochi either requires more time or is not ready, I simply ask you to stop for a moment and think. How does either reason help Sochi grow as both a character and a Writer? It provides no actual criticism of the character or the Writer - nothing to improve on. It spits in the face of her activity and her accomplishments - things that matter and are desired of our members due to the fact that we never know how long they will ever be able to stay active in this community.
This is only a simple hobby, after all. For most people, it's not even a year-long commitment. Time is not a quality worth of judgement. If one has done enough and achieved enough, they have already served their time by default.
I believe Sochi has done enough for me to place my faith in her as a Jedi Master, just as others had placed the same faith in you when you were Master.
