Tanaski joking, Glade’s small smiled curled, peeking out beneath her hair as she beamed. Beamed her bright face turning to spot him through her cockpit. But serious stuff needed her attentions, and her nose itched, and she couldn't reach it. Help those tiny people on the ground, or Hotelier, or in space. She pfffftttt blew her hair up out of her face again, which was a futile effort given how long her locks were these days. How she saw anything was anyone’s guess. Techno gadgets and mcgubbins inside her helmet and over her eyes courtesy of Fyor Bot.

“Hmmm. Maybe we pop to Hotelier, chase bad guys away then zoom where we are needed when she's all clear.” Zoom really quick, they were needed everywhere! Her fighter’s nose was black but that didn’t matter, well, maybe. Swinging that splattered wasp’s nose around, wrenching her little body and her fighter, Fyor made a comment about safety protocols but Natoline tilted her head and meh’d to him, or would have done but she couldn’t be bothered.

“Race you there!” [member="Tanaski Yumi"]. Nato shot off ahead. Because of the damage she’d taken her fighter’s nose was shaking slightly from turbulence which was slowing her down, he’d easily catch her. What she was doing was looking for targets along their ground to shoot up to support their jedi friends. Maybe [member="Tanaski Yumi"] could spot a few on their way over to Varindar.

[member="Varindar Asyt"]
Hotelier would find Glade and if Tanaski followed her, both coming in across her target's side, or anyone else giving Hotelier problems if she needed any help, just so they could all regroup again. Trying to blindside their bandit(s) if her wingman's missile or Tanaski didn’t fry him first.

OOC:

Can assume she follows you both to space or back to the ground, depending how both situations are going. Fun thread.

"Roger, roger"

Now that both Glade and Tana were racing to get to her, and attempt to engage the remaining fighters near Wallpaper and her, she still managed to kill one of those clean, in such a way that the explosion did not make for debris chunks that are big enough to cause any specific damage to Xi Charrian property. Of course, Wallpaper came to serve the Silvers around that time, but never had much of a chance to train anybody until now; he knew about the necessity of clean kills, and not simply kills-via-mobility-kills kind of kills; Varindar did realize that killing a fighter by first inflicting a mobility kill to it may cause some of the Xi Charrians below some problems, many of whom were already traumatized when the GE attacked the place. And it was about the remaining one enemy craft that the other two are left to deal with. Now that the remaining help is forthcoming, I'm grateful for them, for their support, for them saving my bacon, she thought. That was going to be a step in the right direction, or so Varindar would be led to believe...

Sukai would have liked to continue the conversation with the oddly dressed woman, but a sudden force signature and physical presence drew her attention, not the current Sith, nor another coming close, no it was Azarra herself, but seemed to be a different person all together. It was no mere falling to the darkside, no the aura emanating off the Torguta was that of another person, a signature that Asaraa could wield or get a grasp for in such a short time span. It did not take long for Sukai to realist the woman was possess, containing two soul, on of the Jedi General everyone knew and love... the other a Sith, using the Padawan and her knowledge to attack Silver Jedi assets.

"I a sorry that such a thing has happened to you Asa-sama, if only I knew about this I would have helped", Sukai voice was sombre, sadden, the love of friendship she had to the Togruta being easy yo see in her voice. The sudden moment of peace before the storm came to a crushing end, literately as pieces of stone where thrown at them, Sukai raising her hands to block the incoming attack, turning her head to the Padawan's. "Those unable to use force shield get behind me"! As the pirates unloaded onto their group the Jin would raise an invisible barrier around herself and those standing behind, slugs and blasters bolts slamming against it power.

It was intense, Sukai straining to keep the shield from collapsing, 'brother, now would be a goo time for you help', she could only hop that the enemy was thinned soon or ran out of ammo, there current position being an open plain like area, not ideal for the current fight. "Asaraa, you do not have to do this, nobody does, you are stronger then this I know it, you have to fight the corruption", though not similar if Sukai was able to control her dark side urges and taint then she was confident the Togruta would be able to wrestle control of body.

Novan's meditative reverie was the first victim of the sudden crossfire. The Padawan's energy had been gathering, his focus zeroed in on remembering how to move faster than his body was physically capable of. But as the Togruta - whom Novan recognized from the briefing as the objective of their rescue mission - started flinging rocks and her little cohorts started to open fire on their group, survival instinct kicked in. Novan was a fighter and always had been. But in an open field, the fight response would have left him soaking up blaster bolts like a drunk soaked up brandy. The Pantoran had come to this realization just an instant too late, his ever-widening eyes coming to stare at a blaster bolt making a beeline straight for his head...

...only for it - and many others like it - to dissipate almost into thin air as a surge of energy erupted from the pale woman helping lead the attack.

The young Padawan could feel the Force radiate from the wall she'd created. But more than that, he could feel the strain it put on her. It was an impressive feat, far and away the most incredible thing Novan had seen since becoming a Jedi, but it was clear to him that she would not be able to protect him and his fellow Padawans for long. With each passing second, with every hit it took, the shield's power ebbed. And if he - a rank amateur in the ways of the Force - could sense it, there wasn't any doubt that the rest of the Jedi could as well. The soldiers alongside them could provide covering fire, but it still left them no closer to their goal of stopping Amber-Eyed Scary Witch Face or rescuing their brainwashed Jedi friend. His senses went into overdrive as, just beyond the barrier's protection, a few of the soldiers were taken by stray blaster shots. And if they held here, more would go down.

The world around Novan began to slow as his determination and focus coalesced. The pale Jedi woman had begun to speak again, but her pitch had lowered, and the words seemed like they were on a light jog out of he rmouth as opposed to the mad sprint they should have been under the circumstances. Boulders flung by the same invisible energy that protected them all seemed to sink towards the group, rather than rocket down from above with murderous intent. Even the blaster bolts racing through the air had noticeably slowed down for the Pantoran youth; while still faster than he could ever hope to outrun, Novan was now able to trace their motion through the air, giving him enough time - however barely - to get out of their way.

Diplomacy had been tried.

Diplomacy had been kicked square in the teeth.

Diplomacy, in dying, had given Novan the only opening he'd get.

Novan sprinted towards one of the fallen soldiers, away from the protection of the Force shield and in direct violation of his orders. He seized the rifle from the ash-coated ground and held it firm in his hands, years of experience with hunting rifles and his own studious mind taking an incredibly brief moment to familiarize himself with the weapon. Novan looked towards the pale Jedi. He looked towards the leader of the mission. He looked towards the Padawans still behind the shield. He looked to the marine that the pale Knight - despite her best effort, Novan was sure - had failed to save. From there, he looked to the Sith, whose focus was squarely on their leader. He looked to the Togruta and her band of scum raining fire from above.

Novan looked at the still-open door to the compound. And when he did, he ran like hell.

Joon wanted nothing more than to bludgeon and boil the man before her. His very tone made her skin itch and she had enough already of his passive, compassionate words. So blinded by their arrogance – when would they ever truly learn?

Her amber eyes flicked to the group of Padawans, and then she decided to bring out the monster to face them herself. Killing the blade of her crimson saber, which took a great deal of strength to do as she wanted to plunge it into his chest right there, Joon held her hand aloft and pointed to the Padawans.

A couple of blaster bolts rang out, hitting the floor around them to remind them eyes were watching from above.

"Let’s see what she has to say, shall we."

She lifted her arm, pulled back the sleeve of her robe and held the signal button on her com-link.

"My child. [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] I request you at my position outside the fort. You will not be harmed. The Jedi wish to see you. We can end this together.”

Never taking her eyes off the Jedi Master, she then lowered her arm and waited. She took a step forward, looking into the fire burning before her. Teasing danger and death.

"Because of you, your Padawan learners will not survive. I will remember them. I will make them suffer. Because of you. One day,” she hissed.

Tanasuki returned a smile along with a silent chuckle to the long haired woman as their fighters flew along side each other, was nice to meet others with a relateable sense of humor. He kept his fighter in place, keeping an eye on the fellow pilot, 'Nice girl think she need a hair cut though, such long braids have to affect flying'. He was not really on to talk but at the lest Tanasuki kept his long hair in a pony tail, away from the eye and ones of so important view of the battle field.

"Help out manager chick, sounds like a plan, rule the sky then get back to the grounds action", the boy remarked ,rolling his antique fighter around, as if a pet showing excitement over a new goal to attend. Suddenly the woman's wasp shot off, speeding to Asyt last known location, "Oh you are on", pushing the throttle forward Tanasuki sped after Glade, laughing the entire way. Catching up the Jin formed along side the woman's left wing, soon spotting the Dathomir woman clashing with a few more pirates, "Need some back up manager", he would say into the comlines, a sly smirk on his face.

So far Asyt and her wing man had taken down a few of the last remaining enemy fighters, this being more of a regrouping before their attack run on the temple, "Looks to be only a few left, by all means ladies first", would be rude to steal the kill for himself.

She was on! [member="Tanaski Yumi"] Only he beat her. She poked her tongue out and Fyor AI made comment about the velocities of the two craft being unevenly matc..blah blah blah.

Rising upwards... streaking shots burst out of Glade’s wasp swarming an unfortunate fighter who had thought about getting in on the action with [member="Varindar Asyt"]. POP. Natoline wiggled her wings in acknowledgement, doing a twisting roll upwards then over, to bring her back around and slowly come up on Varindar’s wing. Her cockpit juddered as she met air resistance. She’d smile again but nobody would see it anyway probably. “Ya both ready’ta swoop in to help our people’s on the ground?” [member="Varindar Asyt"] | [member="Tanaski Yumi"]

Swooping. She was good at swooping she had decided. Her black nose cone kept hitting turbulence and was becoming increasingly hard to keep straight. Despite that Glade was actually staying in their formation. Something strange had happened. The Kiffar woman finding friends again? Maybe. Kinda up here anyway she had friends.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRfEdcy-buw

“Let’s shake em up. Erm. On me?” Was that right. Probably.

So assuming they all came into together. Natoline was humming her tunes again as she always did. The pirates wouldn’t know what hit em. Her wasp shaking as her speed increased, zooming over the main fight her heavy laser cannons echoed out causing confusion behind the pirates around the temple, making them duck and flinch. Glade was trying to scare them into pulling back. Maybe the others had some fancy ideas to shake them up? She didn't want to risk firing too near the Jedi.

If only she could hold her stick straight, her fighter kept shuddering.

(OOC Note. Please forgive my slowness, internet has been on the fritz for the past two days at my usual posting hours that i couldn't get a post out properly.)

Seras's single remaining eye examined the person in front of her with a calm, focused gaze. It had seemed Seras was correct, she had merely wait and they would come to her. Such was the manner of these things she had found after being in several battles. Force users were drawn to one another on the opposite sides of battle like carrion to the dead. "Correct on both accounts, though more raised Atrisian then born." Seras admitted, her accent decidedly more Corellian than Atrisian, though there were hints of Atrisian as well in there. A odd blend to be sure, Seras herself found it somewhat odd.

The doublebladed lightsaber which had been at her back was withdrawn with a deliberately slow movement, Seras igniting only one of the weapons pale green blades. "I am Seras Rose, Herald of Battle and assistant to the Minister of War." As she spoke her single eye carefully gauged her opponent. Against most Jedi, certain tactics would prove effective but she suspected not so against this one. Quite a few Jedi could have their focus disrupted by having the troopers or soldiers around them attacked and deliberately goading them in that manner. But her gut told her not to try it against this one, not right now at least.

There was a battle that had begun all around them, but there was also something else. Something which had happened to one Asaraa. The Jin she was preparing to face was forced back due to slugthrower and various kinds of blaster fire. Annoyances were getting in the way. Her free left hand pulled out the heavy blaster on the left side of her hip, firing a single shot past several pirates who had been firing at Sky'ito. The shot was dangerously close and was obviously meant as a warning shot. "Don't get in my fight." She spoke over the comms to the pirates. She was not one to go around killing friendlies for such petty things, but the honorable warrior in her detested that kind of interruption.

Moving forward Seras would let her next move show openly, a direct attack that was meant more to get her attention and begin the fight then as a way to injure her opponent. Seras wanted to test her skills after all, not blind side her opponent and try to secure an easy victory. "You are?" She asked when their blades would clash, shifting her footing so that they might both make some distance from the blaster bolts and slugs that were being tossed around the battlefield. Seras did not fancy getting hit by friendly fire.

The chirp of a comms unit broke through the young woman's enjoyment as she stood there, stones levitating around her head as she stared down at the Zabrak and Pantorran Jedi caught out in the open with their troops, vulnerable to the crossfire of from the pirates that surrounded her. A cruel smile played across her lips as she watched them scurrying for cover like little ants beneath the rain of fire the mismatched troops that surrounded her poured out. The Silver Jedi were known for having elite soldiers, some of the best in the galaxy but here they were, rushing into saving this body, they'd overextended and left themselves vulnerable. She could already see the vaunted troops being driven back as they ran headfirst into the trap, just as they'd planned. It was almost delicious in its beauty. It was so simple to pull them apart, not one of them had even thought of this possibility, so desperate had they been to do the right thing.

With a dismissive sneer, she waved her hand the stones around her head spinning faster and faster before they streamed down at the Jedi as she turned away, dropping her hands down to her side as she stepped away from the edge of the building, leaving her troops to fire on the Rangers as she padded up the short distance to where Joon was engaging in her war of words with the Jedi Master. She could feel the pain and anger, the pirates the Jedi all mixed up together into a delectable heady concoction that felt, that tasted like nothing else she'd ever experience. The Togruta raised on hand, waving to the Jedi as the dark aura around her seemed to pulse and grow around her, almost but not quite obscuring the thin sliver of light beating immaterial fists on the aura as she screamed. An unheard cry for the Jedi, for her friend, to run, to escape what was coming.

"Oh hi there. They're not forcing me to be here, I was the one who came up with this whole plan in the first place after all."

"That's the last of them"

"We're going to take out the anti-aircraft defenses while our friends are going in for other areas of the temple"

Looks like the pirates in orbit are stuck in the nagnol mud, she thought, while the others shot down the remaining enemy fighters, and contemplating making a run for the temple proper. The question is: how much anti-aircraft defense does the temple have? Two fighters against localized anti-aircraft? All that she could detect were quad-lasers, and the temple was fairly minor so she could not expect that many quad-lasers around it. Also, she had to be mindful of the collateral damage: it's possible a proton torpedo could cause more damage than desired, both to the temple, and to the Xi Charrian property surrounding the temple. Taking her breath, she was to dive and attack at the joint of the quad-laser turret from underneath it. In doing so, however, she had to perform evasive maneuvers as each of those turrets was threatening her across multiple fields of fire, causing many near-misses, and she let loose a few bolts from the guns, hitting the rotation bearing and, from there, the power generator for that hardpoint, causing the hardpoint to go down in flames, and with some debris from the quad-laser and its turret assembly to smash some temple windows.

Crapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcraprapcrap-

Phase One of Novan's brilliant strategy to bypass the battle altogether had gone better than it'd had any right to. The blue Jedi Padawan had apparently run faster than he'd thought; not one person had tried to stop him beyond the occasional blaster shot from above. Not Scary Psycho Witch. Not Brainwashed Togruta Victim. Nobody. Novan had been elated. Ecstatic, even. But as the world seemed to catch up with him within the halls of the enemy base, Novan encountered a rather troubling setback.

The Padawan had no idea how this place was laid out. And he had no Phase Two.

Crap.

Realizing that - as his plan currently stood - all he'd done was buy himself some time, Novan raised his stolen rifle and pushed forward, sticking to the walls as best he could and softening his footsteps as much as his boots and the floor would allow. For all he knew, each step took him closer to an enemy ambush, or perhaps even another crazy woman with a red lightsaber and a chip on her shoulder. All Novan wanted was a flight of stairs. Maybe a turbolift, if this place would be so accommodating to his little intruding self, but stairs couldn't be shut down. And if he got stuck in a turbolift, he was a sitting duck. As he crept through the fortress, keeping a wary eye and attentive ear open for any guards that might have seen him, Novan began to bemoan his decision. No map. No backup. Not even a lightsaber, as the weight of the crystal around his neck saw fit to remind him right then and there.

...crap...

The sagging of the leather strap around his neck then reminded Novan of something else, something more important altogether. This entire time, the boy had been thinking like a boy. A clever and quick-thinking lad with access to untold power, but a boy nevertheless. In taking up a rifle, he had been thinking as a ranch hand. And in seizing the opportunity to run headlong into the enemy fortress - in doing so gaining a massive advantage if he could stay alive long enough to do something with it - Novan had thought with the makings of a genuine tactician. But he wasn't any of those things.

With a deep breath, the Pantoran Padawan thought as something else entirely.

Novan's awareness stretched out, inch by inch. Foot by foot. A literal stream of consciousness flowed outward from his mind, washing over every nook and cranny of the corridors and doors before and behind him. Exhaling, a wave seemed to ripple across the stream, sending the fringes crashing against the invisible shores...

...where Novan could feel the sharp angle of a stairwell.

Huh. Well, crap.

While he wasn't sure exactly where it would take him, Novan thought as he proceeded to race up the stairs, it got him closer to the Togruta. And that was good enough for him.

Engaging in Samurai Duel [member="Seras Rose"]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1HUc1iEKFs

Sukai could only watch in despair as Asaraa stepped forward with a sinister aura to herself, the hint of once was the Jedi General seeming to be caged inside, trapped to watch on in horror while being forced to be used like a puppet. "You’re not Vaashe, just some Sith using her body for your own goals, you Sith are so contradictory, talking of power and such but stooping to such level of trickery". It made her mad, but at the same time disappointing in the Order that wanted to rule the galaxy, but overall more motivated to free their friend from that cursed body. First things first she needed to get through this hail of bullets and blaster bolts, something that would stop suddenly, the Atrisan woman almost shooting at her own trooper to stop them from firing, 'nice to see someone here values honour in battle'.

The intimidate area around them became void of combat, the two slowly approaching one another, the wind flowing around the two as they faced off, just like the Samurai of old who would duel in the heat of battle, "Everyone, do not disturb this duel of mine". Walking forward she is brandishing her sabre staff sabre, taking defensive stance as the woman's own sabre staff came down in a direct attack easily defended a test of strength and a start of the duel. "It is nice to meet you Roze-sama assistance minister to war, I am Sukai'ito Yumi, Jedi Samurai of house Yumi", she remarked back, pushing off the woman and putting a bit of distance between themselves, "I hope our duel is a fruitful one, but be warned I will not hold back".

Leaping back into the fight Sukai would take a left to right swing with her indigo bladed double-sided sabre, following through with the other side of her blade in a stabbing action at the woman's chest. In all honestly, she did not want to harm the woman, but was desperate to free her friend Asa from Sith control, even if it mean killing the opponent in front of them.

The air around Zavii seemed to physically cool down when [member="Sky'ito Yumi"] made a shield to protect them, but the Zabrak's mind never slowed as she looked frantically for a better position. It was an impossible situation, a perfect ambush they had literally walked into, on purpose. Wasn't there a name for that? She didn't remember. Suddenly [member="Novan Kolski"], -the new Padawan- bolted forth with blinding speed. She watched the young man stoop to grab a weapon from a fallen marine and continue right past all the hired guns and sell-swords. "What the-?" she glanced at Sukai and the Sith who were about to engage in a duel and before she could be exposed to any more fire shouted "I'm going in after him!"

With that she tapped a button on her belt and the buds in her ears started playing as she started sprinting, shooting her blaster wildly at the defenders to make them take cover as she advanced. Before she could reach the entryway, however, she had to reload. Too bad, there wasn't time. Instead, she leaped up with a powerful Force push through her feet and came down upon a man with a repeating blaster, smashing his head with the butt of her blaster. There was a loud crunch of shattered skull and the Human collapsed instantly, his Song stopped before he knew what had happened. At least there was no pain.

Before any of the other shocked mercenaries could capitalize on the availability of close-quarters combat, Zavii drew her lightsaber. Of course, a man in what had to be stolen Beskar plates due to their sloppy fit and filthy finish, charged forth with an electropike. Now that she was able to dance with her blade in hand, the young Silver Jedi could stop thinking for a while and truly engulf herself in the moment as an agent of the Living Force. This was what she had trained for. This was her element. They wouldn't stand a chance...

He looked at it, having stayed back for a time and watching the others run off. The jedi knight held up his hand as someone appeared before him. "Well aren't you spiffy." He said it as the one came at him, slashing a sword almost across his chest getting a grin from the man. before he flexed witht he force. Muscles becoming tighter, energy spiling forth to make his body stronger before he grabbed the hiult of the blade as it came around and smashed his face against the mans head. Knocking him to the ground and grabbing the sword to throw across into the shoulder of another. Blaster bolts coming as he held up his hands and focused on the force.

He reached towards it and the energy as it froze in place and one of the guns came at him. Between the lines of red energy and spoke. "I know just hwo to stop you jedi." The knight looked at him and spoke. "Really.. well it is good that you know something then isn't it?" He saw him rwact and once he was coming at him Barinthus side stepped and rolled stopping his mental focus on the energy as it slammed into the back of the man and he was moving seeing rocks get thrown at a pantoran and zavii the zabraki padawan. His instincts were to hunt, to smash and stop the predator that might be threatening them. Jedi were pard after all as he was moving in.

Then there was another scent in the air, he had faced Allana with this, he had seen his sister and mother with this. Asarae the padawan they were here to help was facing off against Kei and his internal struggle before he was moving. Rushing and jumping up to the back of the sith slamminginto it and forward with the force energies in a push. A makeshift board to get up towards Kei near another sith. He was moving up and could see something there.. the Togruta raised his eyebrows a little when he reached out. The danger sense, the feeling between his shoulder blades before he needed to try and activate his saber. "Well Asaraa seems things have changed a bit."

Kei Amadis walking into a trap was like casually ordering coffee for breakfast. He seemed at ease.

[member="Asaraa Vaashe"]

“Decided to bring us here. So we would stay away?” Amadis talked. But his talk was giving him time. Time to search her for any manipulations, physical, force bound, or mental. Though he talked to Joon and Asaraa. Amadis senses were looking over Asaraa carefully.

Force sense

Faint very faint. Had he not been a Jedi Master he probably would have missed it. If Asaraa had wanted Kei Amadis to run, that wasn’t in the guardian when there was hope. He saw that sliver of her, that hint that something was off and nodded firnly. Taking a look above them at the starfighter's, and around at the chaos. It wasn’t all going the pirate’s way either. Kei looked directly back to Joon.

[member="Joon"]

“Don’t know what has been done to her. This.” He deflected a blaster bolt, almost in one movement. The saber flying into his hand and pushing it aside. “Gains us nothing.” Kei couldn’t reach into Asaraa’s mind effectively, an Epicanthix’s own mind an iron dead wall. He could reach into her aura, into her. Subtly wasn’t his forte, and so as his force sight and senses pulled toward her, anything could happen. A tug. A yank. A pull. To whatever was left of of the padawan, inside of this dark cloud that stood in front of him. Clouds were not centered sith warriors. They weren't chosen Sith disciples. Something was blocking him from her.

[member="Asaraa Vaashe"]

~If you are there. Anything in there of you. Now’s the time.~ Kei’s mindspeak was like a whisper speaking to a whisper. Lit like a beacon in the force for her to come to, radiating outward. He felt the tug of the darkness as it looked and searched for a hold on the padawan further. If she felt the pain and anger from others, from Kei it would be the opposite, an aura of peace and tranquillity redoubled, pushed toward her like a blanket against that cloud. There was more than one reaction to violence, to pain, and to suffering, she had a choice.

[member="Joon"]

And it was Asaraa's choice then and there. Joon would still be met with a thunderous force push if she interfered. Amadis would have the truth before he called a retreat. If she was here willingly and that was her final word, he would bid them to leave.

She didn’t take her eyes of the male Jedi as the confrontation continued around them. It was pointless, it was noisy and it was primitive. Joon was here for the girl and that was that. The sleek fighter was prepped and ready to carry out a quick evacuation of the planet and she would drag the Togrutan away with her if need be. The pirates could kill themselves and the Jedi in the meantime, it was all fodder.

On her mental cue, the Jedi Vaashe came from the fort to stand with Joon, and the clone didn’t look away from the male. As he spoke, she felt a swell of energy around him.

"Don’t you do it," she hissed.

She rooted to the spot.

"It is sickening to watch your desperation in clawing back one of your own who no longer serve the Light."

Her fists clenched as she felt the Jedi’s aura swell.

”Child of the darkness," she countered into Asaraa’s mind against the expected lull of the Jedi. ”You will prove nothing but weakness if you fall to the Jedi. You are stronger. You are more powerful than they are. You will not succumb to the Light again!"

Joon’s amber eyes bore with a dark energy, a battle of Force persuasion with the Jedi Master working on Asaraa as she kept her stance strong.

Super Tactical Droid "Sobek", Flotilla Commander

The pair of corvettes continued evasive maneuvers as they fire missile at long range from mass driver launchers. Because of their small range, they were able to dodge a good deal of the incoming fire. What few energy bolts did hit them was partially absorbed, triggering an energy feedback effect that essentially reflected some damage back to its point of origin.

This was a handy feature, as the well trained crews of the Sith warships were able to benefit from the feedback feature to accurately track the movements of the Dawn's Grace by noting the trajectories of the outgoing energy charges. This technique was paired with the tracking of raw energy transmissions from the cruiser. While its electronic signature was somewhat obscured by distortion projectors, they wouldn't help much against an alerted enemy that already had a tail on their approximate location.

Enemy missiles were intercepted by a combination at all ranges with a combination of the fast tracking plasma cannon batteries, flak guns, and flechette cannons. Clouds of nagnol gas became dispersed upon the destruction of some missiles, creating physical obstructions that could cause trouble for targeting sensors. Fortunately, as the corvettes remained on the move around the relatively small pockets of gas within the vast expanse, they were hindered much by this development.

Unbeknowest to the Sith crews, shells packed with buzz droids had also been fired at them, but what shells connected with the corvettes were vaporized by particle shields.

As Sith and Jedi warships continued to exchanged fire, Sirius observed quietly on the Reiver, serving as commander in place of his Master, only the bright crimson flicker of his photoreceptor indicating any activity.

The Super Tactical Droid had yet to order any changes to corvettes' attack patterns, but there was a reason. He was deconstructing the enemy cruiser, noting weapon types and firing arcs, defenses, positioning, and maneuverability. All items would be considered before making more aggressive moves.

The other matter was that the lead corvettes were only there to serve as distractions after all, by the orders of his Master. The Dawn would be dealt with, but only reinforcements were delivered on the ground.

"Activate Cronau Emitters and Gravitic Amplitude Modulators," he finally ordered, voice raspy and metallic, "and configure jammers to mask hyper-spatial disturbances and tachyon emissions."

Sensor operators within the lead corvettes immediately carried out Sirius' orders, setting the stage for an easy insertion for ground parties.

Once he had confirmed his orders had been fulfilled, he contacted Arlen in the troop bay.

"As you hoped, the Jedi are being tied up by our skirmish element. The assault element now has a clear window for ingress."

"Then give the word to deploy. Once I make it planetside, destroy their air assets and cruiser."

"Your will shall be done."

Another order, and Reiver and five more corvettes were now away on a microjump into the system. Moments later they reappeared at high latitude in relation to the planet, far away from the battle taking place between their Sith brethren and the Jedi Cruiser.

Distortion projectors were active to obscure their signature, while mimic sensor decoys (12) were deployed during their flight toward the Sith fortress, all programmed to disguise themselves with the visual and electronic appearance of the other corvettes.

Within a matter of seconds from orbit, the Sith corvettes would finally be in range for deployment, spewing dozens of droppods from their berths, containing a mixture of Sith warriors and battledroids to supplement their relative small numbers. All aimed to basically land on top of the encroaching Jedi and Rangers now assaulting the fortress.

The New Order had finally made planetfall, and now they would continue their war with the Silver Jedi that had began in the Outer Rim and Torn Station.

Charlie had taken the moment that everyone was focused on Asaraa as the perfect time for her to slip away and do her own search for the Sith. She wasn’t the type to stand around and chat. It was obvious there was a stronger Force at work on the girl and she wasn’t strong enough to help her. Charlie needed to do what she was, in her mind good at. As she pulled away the voices of the group started to fade and her complete focus was on the falling drop pods that were cutting through the sky. Charlie paused for a moment looking up and watching them. Her mind went to quick work trying to calculate where they were aiming to fall.

The fire and the smoke that kicked up on the planet surface, shuddering Charlie shook her head and tried keep her mind straight. Inhaling deeply, she could smell the smoke that was coming from the attacks. The Force gathered around the small padawan and her legs moved quickly as she ran towards the area where the pods would hopefully be dropping. She couldn’t be completely sure, but she needed to be there to fend them off.

Maybe coming alone wasn’t the best idea, but it was the only one she could think of right now. Her mind was focused on destroying the Sith and her own revenge. Her lightsaber flew to her hand as she ran, she needed to stay focused, but something inside of her kept fueling her to keep moving forward while some sort of conscious of hers was telling her to go back. She needed to go back and be with the group she was with. Going alone was stupid and reckless. The smoke and the calculated drop area drew closer and she felt her adrenaline flare. A smile crossed her face as she could imagine the feeling of the Sith being cut open with the tip of her saber.

Asyt had finished off the last pirate with a well place blast along with her wing man, what was his name again? Whatever the case their job was not over, the ground troops still need support again the pirate base, only problem that dam AA which had shot down one of the drop ships, how would they be able to deal with those, 4 single seat fighters. Before Tanasuki could pose the question, the hotel owner was off, madly diving down towards the planet’s surface, firing off her laser cannon at the anti-air, "well Glade I think the plan is try and stop Asyt from getting herself killed, sound decent enough for you"?

Without waiting for an answer, the boy pushed his own fighter into a dive, taking subtler route around the complex, trying to get into the blind sport of the AA, feeling through the force he could the Jedi and others where in a fierce battle along the ground. Once himself has cleared what ground defences they could it would be a foot battle from there, and he could tell sis needed a hand with something. Though having a few AA emplacements turn on himself Tana's fighter remained unharmed for most of the fight, before hitting the ground the craft suddenly pulled up, entering a loop before once again facing the ships guns against the Sith temple, green laser bolts firing from it twin cannons, pounding the enemy defences.

Glade was settling down a bit. Thrill of the explosions and scurrying sith beneath her, sending some to running away was starting to get boring. Depression setting in. “Mmmhm betta help her then!” [member="Tanaski Yumi"] but something else made Glade pause. Something sinister approaching, hmm maybe nothing. The feeling made her hesitate following Tanaski, but soon got herself into formation with him taking his clever route out of the guns arc of fire. Something she’d not have done herself.

Many laser blasts later…

“Woohooo” Natoline could have almost grinned like a cherish cat through their comms, perking up. "Two. How-bout you?" Two smaller AA guns burst up ahead of her. Adding to Tanski’s and Varindar’s work to keep the skies safe.

Drops of metal were pinging off her shields. Too close, too low. She was always pushing too far, and was almost tagged again. Zig-zaging unpredictably to avoid any lock from the ground, she pulled herself into a tight turn and spotted 12 new signatures appearing above.

“Fyor baby what are those?”

“Corvettes.”

“Dontcha think they are coming in a bit ‘weird'?”

“Define weird. I am revaluating their approach. To adjust for the location of the enemy fleet, minus the three, carry the four and we have 56% chance that their…..” His voice was turned off, and he beeped something thankfully incoherent in binary.

“Gonna check something out. “ She commed to Tanaski and Varindar, pushing her little fighter to its limits again, burner on, screeching and meeting extreme resistance against the damaged nose. Ascending rapidly in her wasp, she felt like she was in a blender from the turbulence, just as those pods started coming into view.

Well what’da ya know. A shooting gallery! So she did. Not as if she could miss. There was just too many of them to stop.

@All
“Erm guys. Might want to hurry it up down there. Things just kinda got Weird. Not the clearest message ever, but they'd see pods or what was in them soon enough.
