Shot Down at Tatooine!

Doom was doing his routine check on Tatooine. All of a sudden, there was a ship on his tail and attacked him. Doom spined out to control and crash landed onto Tatooine. Doom was very hurt. He climbed out of the ship and tried to restart it. Doom could not restart it, so he sent a message out. He hoped that someone would get it. Doom started to walk to a city, if he could find one in this sandstorm.

Riaane walked aimlessly through the desert her hair and blaster flowing in the sands of Tatooine. Her eyes were covered by a pair of goggles and she was very very hot. She hadn't drank any water or ate any food for over 10 hours trudging through this dessert hoping to god she would find a town that wouldn't immediately sell her back into slavery. Of all the places in the galaxy to end up Tatooine next to Nal Hutta and Nar Shaddaa has got to be the worst. She continued to walk through the dessert on the verge of collapse when she heard a loud explosion in the distance followed by a ball of flames rising in the sky.

Her body was broken but still she went to investigate only to find a man climbing out of the charred remains of a ship.

Riaane stood idly by when the crimson blade of the now apparent Sith before her ignited. She petrified horrified at the man but she managed to regain her composure as she leveled of and stood confidently.

"I saw your ship crash at a distance i came to investigate and found you here half dead i might add." Her voice was timid but her words implied a sense of tenderness.

From a far the incessant roars of beast and Tusken raiders could be heard echoing off in the direction she was headed. Her attention turned to the man and she spoke.

"Your about 25 miles away from the nearest town we should probably work together if we wanna get back to civilization."

"You certain about this"? Fomrota said speaking into a communicator as she jumped onto a speeder bike outside the Vicory's residence. "Certain, the ship was that of the Jen'ari empire, possible scout ship but so far that is all the information we have on it". "Our patrolling ships shot it down over the east dunes, more could be on the way so we are setting up a small blockade over the planet".

"A blocked of a fighter squad is not really a blockade but okay, think they are preparing for an attack"? Her hands revving up the engines, the hover like bike starting to make it's way out of the compound. "Maybe, but after their defeat by us and the Sith Empire I would assume they wouldn't take the risk, but out of all the planets under CIS control Tatooine is the least defended, either way we should be prepared".

"Roger that Formorta out, ill be at the crash site soon". With a trail of dust behind the masked assassin sped towards the crash site as marked on her map, weapons ready and loaded for what ever threat was inside, if it was still alive. If not, well she'd either take in it alive or make sure it was dead.

Doom was happy that [member="Riaane T'ribol"] did not want to kill him. He looked at his odds. There was a 75% chance that he would die, since he never been there before. Doom shut off his lightsabre and put it back. He said, "I would need some help, probably. If you help me survive here, I will get you off world. Deal?" Doom really hoped that she would say yes. Without a word, he started to walk to go to the next town. He did not see anyone ariving to the ship.

(This was a couple of hours before [member="Formorta"] showed up)

Riaane looked intensely into the seemingly worried bravado of Doom, Her life as a slave had many encounters with the Sith none of which were even in the slightest bit pleasant. Thinking back on those times she rubbed the scar on her left arm that was left after a Sith tried to cut her in half for "Being an insubordinate welp." Everything about her past brought on negative emotions yet everything new brings on positive experiences despite the fact she was constantly bouncing from place to place.

She slid down the the crater made by the crashed fighter and came face to face with the man and spoke in her regular volume of tone considering the circumstances. (Imagine her having a Russian accent)

"Well since you need me and i need you i say we have better chances of getting out together." As she spoke she clasped her hands together and pointed westward.

"That way if we move now we can be there buy 8 am tomorrow!" She walked in that direction cheerfully side stepping as if waiting for the Sith to follow behind.

"Well come on then!"

Doom heard a rumbling sound. He looked around and saw a speeder that zoomed towards them. Doom saw that the bike stopped. Formorta was on the bike. Doom went up and said, "Hey!" Doom had a bad feeling. He said, "Get off the bike!" The bike exploded.

The mood in the transport was grim. A dozen Imperial soldiers sat quietly in their seats, eyes staring directly at the floor of the shaking transport as it entered orbit of Tatooine. The soldiers were quite, only moving to ensure their armor and weaponry were in proper order before they hit the surface. They all made sure to go out of their way to not look at the dark figure standing in the center of the transport. Darth Animus was armored in his full combat armor, purple flames escaping from the edges of the armor as his emotions raged within him. He had dispatched his Apprentice towards Tatooine on a routine assignment, but he had since lost all contact with him. Only a single, garbled and message had reached the small Jen'ari task force Animus had been operating out of in the region. He had secured a small, unmarked transport and personally flew it to Tatooine, narrowly avoiding the detection of enemy vessels, with the aid of Sith sorcery. This retrieval mission needed to be quickly and quietly. The Jen'ari could not afford a confrontation at this time. Still, if all went poorly, Taskforce Delta, a small fleet of three Vyrassu Class Star Destroyers were waiting a short distance away to launch a rescue. Animus hoped they would not be needed.

After several minutes, the transport touched down on the surface of the world, in a small out of the way valley, the troopers disembarked. They hastily secured the perimeter of their landing site as Animus himself stepped out of the transport. He turned to the small squad, waving for them to hold position as he set out across the desert, towards the location where he felt the presence of his Apprentice. To be certain, he sent out a small data message on a secure Jen'ari channel. If his Apprentice was alive, he would be able to receive it. This day, someone was going to be punished. Who it was, Animus truly did not care at this point. He had to cancel an appointment for this, and he hated changing his schedule, especially when it affected others.

It was rude.

Aboard the ship, the Aegis Eternum, Adenn stood on the bridge. He looked out across the planet below him, Tatooine. A dry, and airid planet. One covered in desert, and useless in most regards. However, it was part of the CIS, and thus could be used against them. That's why Adenn found himself here, on a little recon mission. While belonging to his enemy, it was still a planet where one could come and go. That's why Adenn had been able to hunt here a while back, a hunt where he had captured his Krayt Dragons. Said dragons where currently in the cargo bay of the Aegis Eternum, waiting for something to do. That something had just come up. A few moments ago, the sensor crew had spotted a ship being shot down, deciding it wasn't their business, they had went about their business. That was until the ship had sent down a shuttle.

With his curiosity now peaked, Adenn had decided to investigate the scene, to see what had happened. Thus, heading down to the hanger bay, Adenn made a quick stop by the cargo bay. Adenn decided to take the Krayt Dragons with him. They hadn't had the chance to spread their legs, and here they could be back on their home planet. So, Adenn took both of the dragons with him to the hanger. There, he boarded a shuttle that was just big enough for the 2 dragons and Adenn himself. Within moments the shuttle was out of the hanger and headed towards Tatooine.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Making a pass over the crash sight of the ship, Adenn and the pilot quickly saw that the crash site was abandoned, however, there were tracks leading away from the ship. Not being able to clearly see them, Adenn ordered the shuttle pilot to land next to the crash site. There, he along wiht his Krayt Dragons disembarked the shuttle before it took off back towards the Aegis Eternum.

Adenn took a knee next to the tracks, they were recent and headed away from the crash site and towards a settlement. Then Adenn noticed a second set of tracks, this one coming from a different direction, but then heading off in the same direction as the first. Either someone had come here and followed the other set, or they had met. Curious now, Adenn had his Krayt Dragons take in the scent before they began to follow the tracks.

Several minutes later, Adenn saw some figures in the distance. There were two, and they were walking together. Then a speeder appeared, it went towards the pair of figures before stopping. Adenn couldn't quite see what went on, but suddenly the bike exploded, no doubt showering the surrounding area in shrapnel and other debris. Now even more curious by what was going on, Adenn quickened his pace. Soon, he arrived on a dune right next to the figures. There he climbed it and looked down upon them.

As Adenn went up the dune, so too did his Krayt Dragons, one on either side of him. The people down below would see a Mandalorian, in full armor and armed to the teeth, flanked by two massive krayt dragons. Both were above the average size of Krayt Dragons, and both were battle scarred. They no doubt looked fearsome, and no doubt so too did Adenn. Adenn knew all of this, that is part of the reason why he did it. Both the intimidation factor, and to get a good look at the figures down below. Noting them all, Adenn then called out.
"Well well well, what do we have here. It seems you're in trouble, eh. Care to explain?"

The low rumble of her speeder echoed through the dunes before going silent, the red eye'd women scanning the horizon, "status update on the crash site"? Her muffled voice entered into the com link, a few seconds passing before the reply came. "Scans show two people leaving from ground zero, possible survivors of the crash, but it seems like the party is being interrupted by another unknown individual. "Probably a bounty hunter or something along those lines". That, if true was a wild card, she wouldn't know if they would help the crash people in hopes of a reward or want to take them out for personal gain. "Treat all 3 as hostile until conformation, I'd advise avoiding contact until verified".

"Sure, over and out", seemed today was getting very complicated. Giving a small sigh the masked assassin once again revved up her speeder bike, continuing on her new target, soon coming to a halt a few clicks out from where the group was stationed, Formorta wasting no time dismounting from her transport, sniper rifle at the ready. "Shroud one here, approaching target site, any updates on your end over"? "Nothing here, all yours, just be careful, never know what these Sith people are".

With no more words she silently approached a high dune, stealth equipment activating, turning her body into a shimmer like mirage, sniper down and tripod out, scope hanging over the trio at the crash site. "... A mando, Sith and someone else, strange indeed".

The searing noise of the exploding speeder served only to provide an incessant ringing in Riaane's ears. She buried her face in her arms to shield her eyes and mouth from the impending tsunami of sand approaching. When she dug up her head to see what had happened she was met with the sight of a now burning speeder smoke billowing off of it and setting fire to the sand below. In her worry for the situation she turned to the Sith next to her and gave a look of confusion that in any case spoke louder than words.

"What the? Did you do that? Why would you do tha-?"

She was cut off short at the sound of a man speaking to the duo. She turned her head to access the person before them only to her heart drop, Her legs turn to jelly, Her oxygen supply cut short and her eyes became bloodshot at the image of a Mandolorian with two monstrous Krayt dragons that could fit Riaane and her companion in their mouth and still swallow them whole. Her body was instantly turned to stone but regained its posture at the very thought that the man intended to FIGHT the being.

Her sense of survival kicked in and she immediately shut the Sith up and turned her attention to the man above eyes glistening with fear.

"Well this idiot over crashed his ship i went to investigate while on my way to town and this ended up happening. Trust me i'm not a threat to anyone here."

Her legs were shaking she desperately hoped he wouldn't not notice the bounty set on the capture of escaped slaves like her.

Animus could just begin to make out the figures in the distance as he walked across the blaring desert. Among the three presences he felt in a single area, one was his Apprentice. The other two were strangers, and only one of those held a presence of hostility. However, in the distance Animus could also sense another, shrouded presence. He could not pinpoint them exactly, but unlike the others they were immobile. They were watching, waiting, preparing themselves to react to whatever was going to be going down here. He would have to keep that in mind as he drew closer, finally making out the physical descriptions of those gathered around the large dune. Grimacing beneath his helmet, Animus marched forward, a single thought and use of the Force disengaging the locks that kept the lightsabers at his waist locked in place.

Stepping forward, Animus put himself slightly beside and in front of [member="Darth Doom Destroyer"] and [member="Riaane T'ribol"], his helmet sensors quickly analyzing the Mandalorian warrior and beasts he had with him. This would not be an easy if it turned into an engagement, especially if Animus had to cover these two while defending himself. It was going to be an interesting afternoon to be certain. The purple flames that had been escaping the edges of his armor suddenly ceased as Animus brought his body and mind under full control, extending his senses and readying himself for whatever was to come.

Looking up at the Mandalorian, Animus remained silent for another few moments before finally speaking up, his voice neutral and yet filled with irritation. "These two are under the protection of the Jen'ari Empire, Mandalorian. I urge you to turn around, and depart. If it is credits you desire, the Jen'ari Empire will be more than willing to accommodate you should you assist us in departing this plan. If not, then I am sure another bargain can be made." At these words, Animus extended his right hand out, and the lightsaber on his hip shot to his hand, though he did not activate it. He did not want to fight, but he would not hesitate to do so if required.

The dune was empty. The brisk wind blew granules from it's crest in a wave of cascading sand that swept down the gentle slope. Then without warning a tremor shook the dune disrupting the shape of it's form sending more sand falling. A distortion appeared at it's summit. Slowly a hand rose from it's grave.

Up it rose, an arm becoming visible. Bracing his palm against the dune the bare arm flexed and a head and torso emerged. Another arm broke free of it's cocoon and a man pulled himself free from the depths. He was coated in moist sand coating his nude body as he surveyed the landscape momentarily. Several forms were grouping together just a dune over.

Reaching within the hollowed out hole that was rapidly beginning to fill, he pulled free a satchel. Opening it revealed clothing and weapons. Unconcerned he slipped on khaki pants and boots before wrapping a gunbelt around his waist with a kal resting in it's sheath opposite of the pistol. The holster was tied low on his thigh. The last item was tossed across his back, the hilt of the sword resting across his shoulder.

Blue eyes glowed with an internal light as he watched the gathering taking place. A shadow passed one of the suns in the sky, appearing as a bird. A smirk crossed his face as he reached out with his mind and lightly caressed the mind of Puff, the Magik dragon. His focus returned to the figures now engrossed in a discussion as another party joined the first group.

With a smirk he trotted down the dune and began to approach. Opening his senses he felt the Force weaving through several of the individuals. Releasing a light, maniacal laugh he spoke up.

"Pretty armor. Now what would Jen'ari be doing on Tatooine. And a Mandalorian of the Empire. Sooooooooooo very interesting. Though I should warn you baldy, you ignite that lightsaber and you're gonna have some trouble. Mandalorians don't take kindly to aggression. And while I may not be part of the Empire, he is still ner vod. And didn't you see the no trespassing signs? This is Confederate space. And you don't have the hairline for a confederate."

He tossed a wink as he stopped.

Madalena wasn't sure why, but she loved the ship they were on. It was modeled to be identical to the Scimitar, built for speed and stealth, and could easily ignore many different kinds of planetary shields. Not that they had any need of that today; no, they'd broken through Tatooine's atmosphere long enough ago, and that planet belonged to the very government she, [member="Kyrinov"], [member="Aitir Kor'sa"], and [member="Voph"] served – the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

What had begun as a regular patrol sort of McThingie, the kind that most of them did because it was part of the duty and not with any real passion, was just about to quickly turn into something else.

The Confederacy was a rare amongst governments, allowing nearly anyone to join. That meant that that their ranks not only had NFU's, but Sith, Jedi, Neutrals, and Witches, all together. It was recently made so that the Mandragora, the Witches of the Confederacy and the local religion on Ryloth, were added to the Knights Obsidian. To prove their value, they joined hands with the Archivists of the Knights Obsidian. Small headquarters of them existed all over in Confederate space; and when the ones who were on Tatooine noted the presence of undesirable Force Users, a word was sent out.

The ship these fourwere on – Madalena, Voph, Aitir, and Kyrinov – happened to be in the area. Grinning, Madalena sent the order out to the general location that the undesirables were at, bouncing with excitement as to who could they be. Were it slavers? Remants of the Galactic Empire that occasionally made an appearance? Maybe a more recent enemy, like the Jen'ari or the Mandalorians? They were about to find out.

It wasn't hard for the ship's scanners to pick the small group up, as well as – two Krayt dragons? Well, they could deal with that. Along with them was the Shaman, or was he still a Shaman? [member="Muad Dib"].

Madalena set the ship to land next to everyone, wondering if those Imperial-looking guards (or soldiers?) around the area were smart enough not to try to shoot a Confederate ship.

"We ready to have fun?" she grinned as she looked at Voph, Kyri, and Aitir, "I know I am!"

The young woman was trying to keep up with her father. Not her biological father for he was long dead but the man that had adopted her into his clan. They had agreed to meet here on Tatooine, a place she had thought she had left behind. Her family had been killed and she had been taken captive by a man she ended up killing.

Only after searching and learning about her past had pieces started to fall into place. Tatooine was her birth world and where she had been raised. Over the course of her adult life, she had returned here a few times and once again she found herself walking over the sands.

Finally, she caught up to him and peered at the group he was observing.

"Buir, I have a bad feeling about this..."

Who were these strangers here? What did they want? As a ruler in her own right, that would be what she asked if the chance was given. Tatooine wasn't her world and she didn't want it either. It might be her native world, but it was not her home.

Voph slowly stood from his kneeling position near the back of the ship. "There is a fine line between fun and securing one's borders." Killjoy. Though he did not react outwardly to the thought, he was somewhat bemused at the thought. He did not know Madalena well, having spoken briefly with her a couple weeks prior, but he figured that she wouldn't be inclined to care that an old man like him wasn't keen on the idea of fun while working. Voph reached out with his gauntlet, and called his lightsaber to him, turning it this way and that as if inspecting it. He had spent most of the trip meditating, reaching out through the force to see what his greatest ally might reveal to him. In fact, it was by his observation that the crew had noticed the wrecked ship below.

The Miralukan turned, stepping over towards the exit ramp to disembark as soon as the ship touched down. His brow furrowed. "Be ready. Tensions are already running high. The dark one is prepared to draw his blade." He looked between the individuals around him, all of whom he'd never encountered before volunteering for this patrol. "I advise caution. Let them make the first move." His head turned towards the beings on the ground, visible to him through the Force, even if there were no windows on that side of the ship. "Lock the ship behind us. I wouldn't want them stealing it."

The ramp dropped, and so did any flicker of emotion upon Voph's face. The hardened warrior of eons past had arrived. He stepped down the ramp, metal boots clanking against the hard surface, then meshing down into the sand. Tatooine. A planet he'd called home for so many years. The loose sand had been the downfall of many an opponent who was not careful to watch their step. Voph, similiar to [member="Darth Animus"] held his lightsaber at the ready, but did not ignite the blade. His strict Imperial accent called out, "Stand down, Sith. By whose business are you here?"

Animus was silent as more and more people began to arrive to the scene. Far too many for Animus to take care of on his own if this turned into a confrontation. As he slowly looked around at the individuals that were beginning to surround him. His instincts were screaming at him to make the first move, to lash out before all his exits were cut off, but he calmed himself. He ignored the childish quip of the one Mandalorian, barely glancing at him before he began moving, pacing slowly as he turned to look at each new comer in turn. Some were evidently eager for a fight, their enthusiasm obvious, so obvious that Animus began to think they knew this would happen. As more and more pieces of this puzzle began to fall into place, he began to realize this entire event could have been planned out by the Confederacy. Whether each of those present knew it or not was another story.

As the latest arrival addressed him directly, Animus turned to face him, his helmet taking him in and analyzing the individual. What information The Jen'ari had on him played across his HUD as he took a step towards him, a small smile on his face beneath the helmet. He clipped his lightsaber back to his waist, though he did not lock it in place. He felt he would need to arm himself at a moments notice very soon, though it would help in the moment to play along with this lot."The business of saving my Apprentice. Your government shot down an unarmed transport in their over zealousness to strike at the Jen'ari. I have come to retrieve my Apprentice, and depart your territory. If you allow us to depart unhindered, I shall not press the matter of your peoples uncalled for and unwarranted attack on the Jen'ari Empire." Animus spoke with a surety of focus and drive. He was the Head of the Dark Council, a single word from him could see this entire world razed. However he hoped dearly that all parties could depart from this event unscathed. A battle was the least of the Jen'ari Empires interests at this time.

Whoever else I missed

(Before all the other people joined)
When @Darth Doom Slayer spoke to him, Adenn couldn’t help but laugh. The fool thought he could take on a Mandalorian, and win? Not even mentioning the two Krayt Dragons, just waiting at his beck and call. But before he could answer, the girl with the Sith spoke up. She at least had some common sense, and was truly fearful. She quickly shut the Sith up, and spoke instead.

As she spoke, Adenn did a quick search of their faces, hoping to see who they were. Immediately, several things came up. One, the girl was an escaped slave, two the Sith was just a lowly apprentice. Then Adenn spoke to the pair.

“Come now Sith, you’re quite the fool. Do you truly believe you can take on myself, and my two Krayt Dragons? They could swallow you whole, and have room for more.” Turning his helmeted head to the girl, “Now you, that’s very true to what you say. An escaped slave, no doubt you don’t have any weapons, and if you do, they won’t be good. However, you fail to understand something.” He paused for a moment, letting what he said sink in. “I’m a Mandalorian, we despise slavers. So, you are safe, I won’t harm you, in fact I’ll help you. But, this Sith, I will not.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was at that moment that [member="Darth Animus"] appeared in front of the pair. As he looked over Adenn, so to did Adenn look over him. The man had a familiar appearance to him, doubly so when he spoke of the Jen’Ari. Once the man was finished, Adenn laughed. Even though he had more people, Adenn was far more skilled and could most likely take them all. However, before he could speak, another Mandalorian appeared (@Maud Dib).

Adenn listened to what he had to say, and several thoughts went through his mind. Karabast, another one. And. Thank Manda that he’s supportive, even if not of the Empire. Does that mean he’s part of the CIS? Though, rather than say anything at first, Adenn nodded his head in thanks to him. Vod was vod, no matter their alliance, unless they were dar’manda or dar’ali. This day kept getting more interesting; and then another person came, and another, and another.

Suddenly the small group was rather big. Sithspit thought Adenn to himself. Now there were more Sith here, and more enemy troops. They were also CIS, which meant that if they found out who he was, they would no doubt try to attack and apprehend him for whatever crimes they thought he was guilty of. Snarling under his breath, Adenn simply watched as the two Sith had a little measuring contest.

It was at that moment that both Krayt Dragons growled menacingly at those in front of them. Adenn held up a hand, and they both quieted immediately. No doubt all these people here had come for some reason or another involving the crashed ship. Adenn was really regretting coming here, it just turned out to be some sort of unintentional trap, or maybe an intentional trap. He didn’t know, nor did he care. Things could go horribly wrong if the wrong things were said.

Adenn didn’t move, merely repositioning his arms slightly to be able to get to his weapons more easily. If he had to fight his way out of here, he could do it, even if it would be costly. Knowing he had to be careful, Adenn inclined his head towards Maud, he spoke “Thank you vod.” Then, he turned his head towards the rest of the group arranged there. He then spoke with a confidant tone, one that said I have everything I need, under control.

“This all seems like a misunderstanding, for you. Whoever shot down the ship, isn’t here.” One of the Krayt Dragons nodded its head, before looking in @Formata s direction. “Whoever did this, is over there.” Adenn pointed the same way the Krayt was looking. “I’m sure you can ask directly, and receive an answer to whatever questions you may have. However, for myself, I suppose this answers my questions.” At that, Adenn swept his hands encompassing all of them in the gesture.

Adenn then chuckled to himself, before motioning for [member="Riaane T'ribol"] to join him.
“I can get you off this rock girl.” Turning his visor to face the others. “Thank you for such an entertaining time, however, I don’t wish to cause further incident.”
