DESCRIPTION
The protest-turned-riot at Sakedo Tower was a sobering moment for members of Darkwire who found themselves rounded up and arrested by CorpSec, even those who might have fled the initial encounters. An illegal shadowfeed broadcast to the galaxy enabled Denon's law enforcement to parse and analyze the footage, identifying some individuals not previously associated with Darkwire.

After Darkwire was declared a terrorist organization, it was clear that their activities and identities would be used against them without hesitation. CorpSec and other security organizations became an enemy to be defeated, and this new gear became Darkwire's first line of defense. For future protests, riots, or activities where Shadowrunners were unlikely to stay hidden, the mask and jacket were designed to stop common security feeds or identification methods from afar.

The mask alone may allow Shadowrunners to blend into a crowd without risk of facial recognition matching their identities to any terrorist databases. The jacket itself can obscure and deflect common holo-recording technologies, potentially making the recording itself useless without intense forensic software analysis. Combined, these technologies are a low-tech method to keep Shadowrunners on the streets and out of a CorpSec lineup, though they may not escape increased scrutiny by on-site security personnel. The gear also have a low resistance to weaponry, relying on evasion and obscurity instead.

Note: Species with uncommon lower, or additional, limbs may desire alternative gear to obscure quick identification from their body's profile alone.
