Sea, Sand and Sun (Open to Teen Characters)

WELCOME TO CERULEAN COVE
``'-.,_,.-'``'-.,_,.='``'-.,_,.-'``'-.,_,.='``'-.,_,.-'``'-.,_,.='``'-.,_,.-'``'-.,_,.='``

OOC NOTE:

Our second teen thread takes place on Quila, a canon planet with so little information that makes it perfect for our purposes. It is not on a map, so it can be anywhere and is open to any teenage character from any faction, and we can make just about anything happen on it.

As advised in the OOC thread, this is open to all teenage characters in the galaxy, basically any character that fits the functionally equivalent age to 13-19 in Humans, as well as those already invited through tags. We're just looking for some fun social or adventure RP, so bring what items makes your character comfortable, but this isn't a PVP thread, so burn out your competitive spirit in a waterspeeder race instead.

Get in the groove with a theme song and the description below.

"Like waves washing away the footprints on the sand, Cerulean Cove gives everyone a clean slate."

A sandy bank climbs gently out of the water of Quila's ocean for a few dozen meters before it inclines sharply in a towering set of cliffs that ring the beach on three sides, on top of which is a landing pad for starships with a pathway down to the beach. The ocean pokes into the inlet, providing a relatively calm area to swim and snorkel within, and a beach that isn't too prone to erosion. This means that its upper reaches are green in color, the foliage from the cliff has eagerly crept down and sent its roots into the sandy soil, providing a softer and cooler place to take a break from the sand and sea, and aided by a row of broad-leafed trees that seems to have grown for that very purpose.

Umbrellas are scattered about the beach, proving some respite from the sunny rays of the planet's star. That sun means warmer waters though, and makes the beach's cove an unlikely place to find one of Quila's predatory eels who prefer the colder temperature of deeper waters. A low reef lives on the cove floor instead, home to a dazzling array of corals and aquatic animals for sightseers to swim among. Snorkeling is such a popular past-time on Quila that equipment can be borrowed on just about any beach, such as the beachside cafe that occupies the high point of the beach.

Built halfway into the cliff, the cafe is a half stone/half wooden structure that serves the cove's beachgoers. It juts out into the grass-covered sand of the upper beach, providing a thatched-roof patio with a bar counter and half a dozen tables and chairs. Served by a small but dedicated staff led by a long-necked Quermian named Kael Vo, it offers refreshments, food, the aforementioned snorkeling equipment as well as any other necessities a beachgoer may have forgotten, first aid in the event of an injury, and rescue gear should the worst occur.

Rented out specifically for the occasion of today's teenage beachgoers, the cove neighbors a public beach which offers some more modern amenities like waterspeeders and diving gear for anyone interested in going out farther into the water. A well-known wreck of an ancient freighter lies submerged a few kilometers offshore, but while most tourists heed the strongly-worded warnings of locals who are familiar with the predatory eels that infest its wreckage, a few hardier —or more Force-imbued— souls are bound to attempt diving to its depths every so often, since rumors still persist of a treasure trove hidden within the vessel's unsalvaged cargo bay.

The sea seemed to breathe when he did.

Inhaling the briny air, Jerek stood facing the ocean of Quila as its ocean lapped the shore, its waves rushing up the sandy incline in a foamy expiration, only to be inhaled back into the depths as the cycle began anew. He stayed in sync for a few moments, the swash of water mimicking the tides of his own meditation, and it would have been easily to slip away from the beach and drift into the Force. The teen boy didn't have to resist the urge too strongly, today was a day he wanted to be in the moment for, and he was happy to be in the here and now.

Here and now, with Allya, on the beach of an ocean world.

Jerek grasped the hand of his girlfriend with his own, interlacing her fingers with his as the breeze blew off the ocean into their unmasked faces. This was not a time for armor or heavy apparel, and the blond-haired teenager had donned a pair of red-and-blue-patterned board shorts with a lightweight, sky-blue, buttoned shirt he left open to flap in the breeze. A pair of sunglasses perched on his face, shielding his eyes from the glare of the sun. His toes wiggled unshod in the sand, but just behind him lay the leather sandals he wore down to the beach level, anchoring the corners of the towel he had lain flat in the shade of an umbrella, their rented snorkeling gear tossed haphazardly on top of it.

"Force, this is beautiful, Allya," Jerek said, turning to her with a smile, wiggling his toes deeper beneath the hotter sand to contain his pent-up excitement. Having spent most of his outdoor childhood in prairie or wooded environments, the boy felt like a kid again, nearly manic with his giddiness. "I can't wait to get into the water, it's almost like being weightless. Like flying or," he leaned down close to his girlfriend's face, "like kissing you."

The girl stared out at the ocean for a minute as her boyfriend did the same. Fingers laced with his, and her mind drifted on the ocean breeze. For Passion Sith, places like this were important. They focused the mind, and gave you that awe inspired emotion. They were beautiful, and alive. Allya stood there, in a white shirt, and white shorts. Her yellow bikini could be faintly seen through the thin fabric. Her sandals sat on the towel next to Jerek's on the towels. Her toes also wiggled in the sand. The scars on her arms and legs were visible, faded but definitely there. She always felt naked without her armor, and weapons. However, she had learned to trust that Jerek would keep her safe, and so, she allowed her guard to be lowered.

Her emotions were wrapped up in this place, expanded across the entire beach, out into the ocean, and below it. She could feel so much, and her mind explored around. Whenever Jerek's mind wandered, when he began to explore through the force as well, her own presence was there, and it nudged his, wrapped around his, and she had him explore it together with her. It was a very intimate act, caused by her having allowed her guard to be lowered. But it was so much fun for her to to have someone close by that could explore like this with her.

Once their entwined minds went back to the present, to the physical, she giggled and gazed into his hazel eyes. She swayed a bit, and smirked. “It is beautiful. But...not compared to you Cyar'ika. But I can't wait to go swimming with you.” Allya's eyes definitely wandered down a bit, over Jerek's open shirt and well formed body. Yeah, this was definitely a good sight. As he mentioned kissing her, she couldn't help herself. She leaned over and pressed her lips softly to his for a brief moment. “Thank you for coming here with me, Cyar'ika. Gah! I haven’t had a vacation like this in forever! And I get to have it with you. I’m way excited.” The girl practically bounced up and down on her toes, while she stared into his eyes.

As the electric feeling of the kiss subsided, Jerek closed his eyes to savor the feeling, trying to capture the memory and affix it forever in his mind. He opened it to find Allya's eyes in his, and needed no greater effort to remember this moment. The boy chuckled, trying to regain his composure. It was too easy to get lost in the moment with this girl. He took his eyes, reluctantly, from Allya's and scanned the rest of the beach to the other teenagers who had come along today, making sure he could spot Micah as well. A getaway on a beach, away from all the cares of the galaxy, it was just what they all needed right now.

Nodding to nobody but himself, the youth stepped back with enough space to shrug out of the shirt, tucking it quickly in a casual fold and then setting it down on the towel with his sunglasses on top. He stood, looking back over Allya in her white outfit, the bright color of her bikini showing through in the bright sunlight. Now his chuckle was a mirthful laugh, "Are you going to swim in all of that? Come on!"

The Café

Sitting at the bar, Nida sipped on her virgin Tatooine Sunrise. While not afraid of the others, the Zeltron was rather shy and had taken to this spot, out of the sun and above the sea where she could comfortably watch everyone having fun.

Normally self-conscious enough, being surrounded by other girls roughly her age that were more…mature didn’t help matters. It didn’t help when your mother and sister were curvy ladies, and it especially didn’t help when you were adopted. Regardless, Nida still wore a swimsuit, but with a modest sundress over it. Even though she was a Zeltron, Nida didn’t like showing off her body—not that there was much, she figured, to show off in the first place.

She was simply here for the pleasure of a warm, sunny environment with happy people. “Another round please, Kael.” The girl pushed her now empty cup towards the Quermian, who gave her an amused yet kindly smile. “Of course, dear.” He went about mixing her up another juice.

Tarix sat in the sand watching the waves lapping the beach. He hadn't been to a beach before or seen so much water. Taris was not somewhere someone saw either of these things. He had been offered an invitation to this location from someone who thought he could use some time learning more about the galaxy and they weren't wrong he kinda did. What was more surprising they had somehow managed to find him in the first place. Tarix still didn't think much of it.

Think all this he continued staring out at the sea watching it roll in and fall out again. He had left Taris shortly after the mandalorians had occupied it with some echani mandalorian supposedly be the one to fully actually allow the people to start coexisting peacefully he realised he was no longer needed. So he had ended up in some cantina and now he was here. He sighed looking out at the waves once more keeping his spot a distance away from [member="Jerek Zenduu"] and his friends. He may have been invited but he was still shy.

They sucked. They wanted you to go to bed at an appointed hour. They wanted you to do school work, to wear the right clothes, to talk proper and act in a way they expected. They were jerks. But they had also chosen this place for him to be. As locations went it had a double benefit of being beautiful and secluded. What purpose could they have in sending him here? What cryptic purpose. And who were they anyways? Were they his parents? Nope. Clones don't have parents. Socialize, meet people your own age. Jaeson shrugged, it's what he wanted to do anyways right?

Jaeson approached the cabana and the four armed bartender manning the cafe with a smile on his face. Swim suit on, towel under his arm ready for a calm relaxing day, rays of sun caressed his skin as the sea breeze wafting his hair, he ordered a drink. Kael, the dutiful server, poured in proper order matching Jaeson's smile, his dexterous arms on full display taking bottles and glasses and spinning them about as he prepared their orders. At the 'bar; so much as it was, sat a pretty girl. "Would you let me buy you your next drink?" he asked turning around and leaning on the bar. He looked her int he eye now seeing the sun reflect off of her pink skin. His smile broadened a little bit, "I was sure this place would be empty, but it's a breath of fresh air you're here."

Persephone loved. . .and hated the beach. As with most things in life, although it was the essence of a picturesque sanctuary, a place to escape and lose yourself from your troubles for a short while, there was definitely a list of things Persephone could do without. Ironically, although the sun made everything beautiful - lit the water in a green-blue haze, twinkles of light playing upon its surface, lit the path for the foamy tides to pace back over the white sands, and pinpointed the shells like a constellation in the sand from the vantage point she took atop the edge of incline of cliffs, she still held her parasol close to her and grimaced as it teased her face with its intense warmth.

Coated multiple times in the strongest sunscreen that Cassus had helped her find at the shop a little ways back, and of all things cloaked and hooded in a silver-gray mantle, Persephone was quite the odd display with Med standing watch over behind her left should, the sun reflecting off his translucent milky coverings and gleaming onto her. She looked back and cast him a sour look. This trip would be good for her, Tyl said, she was at a place now where she could have more freedom. And that's what she thought she wanted all along, so then why was she tossing and digging her feet into the soft warm grass so frustratingly?

She felt Cassus's glare from over beyond the borders of this little haven from the neighboring beach, checking on her through the force, always worried like Med, it seemed like they competed over it. He was the only person she allowed to perceive her through the force as she slowly began flexing her muscle over the force presence within her. And with all the therapies the Order of the Lotus has performed on her, it was slowly growing again, but they warned her not to get too ahead of herself.

Persephone just picked up the tropical drink she had ordered from the bar and began sipping it, dragging her sunglasses back up her nose to block out the sneaky little rays that had begun to steal through.

"Is there anything else you need, ma'am," The politely firm mechanized voice came from behind her shoulder.

Persephone didn't respond, she just reclined on her chaise and sighed softly.

"Just do what we practiced and you will be okay."

Kiran heard the words from the instructor as they were out a ways from the shore. Kiran and a handful of others opted for a surfing lesson, which at the time was a good idea.

However....

Kiran couldn't help but seem a little unsure of himself as he showed a smile to those with him and even a somewhat forced laugh as they all seemed to have their own reactions to the predicament they were in.

"Okay, get ready." The instructor said as a wave was coming there way. One of the good things that Kiran noted was that there wasn't no thirty foot waves they were surfing. Something small to start out with, which was nice and he was more than sure he would wipe out on these. The wave got closer and Kiran laid down on the board and started using his arms to urge him forward to give him that slight momentum for takeoff.

There were some yelps nearby as one or two people lost balance while trying to stand up, Kiran didn't. However when he was stood up on the board he did find it hard to keep balance. And then just a few moments later he lost balance completely falling of over the right side of the board. The water was pretty cool, he was underwater for a few seconds until he reached the surface and he flung his arms over his board. He couldn't help but laugh at his misfortune.

It was fun nonetheless.

A haunting whisper seemed to linger in the air.

It was the language of the Sith. The power of the Dark Side moved in and around the figure of a small, cat-eared boy, as the young Cathar stood atop the beach and softly uttered an invocation in the forbidden tongue of the ancient Massassi architects that had constructed so many of the wonders of the ancient world. The Great Temple on Yavin 4. The Ambria Obelisk. The Temple of Oricon.

As the Cathar kitten repeated the mantra, over and over, his body was swaying as though in time with the tidal forces that shaped the contours of the beach. His arms were outstretched, hands alternating between pulling and pushing motions. The Force rippled, as the very air itself seemed to bend to the child's command. An ill wind moved over the shore, sweeping up the sand into a miniature hurricane funnel. Which was when everything started to change.

Bringing his hands together, the youngling pressed his palms as though he were starting to mold an invisible ball of dough. As his fingers began to pull and knead the space between his hands, the sand funnel began to compress and take on a different shape. A towering spire began to appear, meticulously detailed with windows and parapets.

As the eerily accurate rendering of Sand Castle Vader appeared, complete with a sand dune cliff face and etched out sand waterfall, the kitten stepped back in order to appreciate his handiwork.

Building sand castles was actually a very educational activity. It promoted good elemental awareness and fine-tuning of telekinetic control. Which, if one could find educational value in a trip to the beach, then they were salvaging what was otherwise quite a wasted day.

At least, from what he could judge, none of these teenagers seemed to be doing anything productive.

The Cathar badawan was dressed in a pair of Sith Academy swim trunks that left his upper body bare, revealing the tabby coloration that ran across his body. His tail flicked behind him, hanging low without dragging along the ground.

Plopping down next to where a handful of action figures rested in the sand, the kitten picked up a juice box and fiddled with the straw until he had pierced through the packaging. As he sipped on his juice, the boy flipped himself around so that he was crawling along the beach on all fours, starting to arrange his action figures.

With Jerek's subtle encouragement, his desire was made known to her. She couldn't tell him no. Not because she couldn't physically do it, or because there was some compulsion she could not resist. But because, frankly, why would she want to? She was his, by choice. He had earned her through his actions, and heart. Until such a time he harmed her, she would trust him, and do all she could to give him what he desired because, she desired it too. She wanted to keep him as happy as could be, because he did the same in return.

The girl had serious issues with her body, and Jerek knew it. That little blurb about what she was wearing, just helped her push the doubts to the side. She smirked at him, and twirled around. “Want me in my swimsuit that bad, huh, Cyar'ika?” Her small tongue came out and was stuck out at the boy. “Fine.” She brushed her hair out of her face, and looked down at her white outfit. Finally, she pushed the thoughts out of the way, and smiled. Alright, she could do this. She pulled off the top, and then the shorts, then tossed them onto the towel. Allya revealed her athletic, toned, down right strong body to Jerek. She was wearing a small yellow bikini, that showed off most of her form. Scars ran across her body, most quite faded. However, her back was heavily scarred. It was clear it had come from some form of horrific torture. Yet, even those had begun to fade, little by little.

She took a deep breath, and looked up at Jerek, to see if the boy still wanted to look at her, or not. The Empath heavily fed from Jerek's emotions, both as a source of power, but perhaps more importantly, in an attempt to make sure she had done something right, or if it was wrong. She was new to this whole dating thing, and it scared her. This was a good way to make sure she was still wanted. However, she also knew, she had to take the lead, and make sure he kept wanting her.

Allya smirked and crooked a finger. “Catch me if you can, Cyar'ika.” With a laugh the girl dashed towards the water, swiftly, with her powerful legs. The small teen tried to keep him moving at her own pace, to rarely give him time to think to heavily about it all. There was plenty of pain in her past. However, he had shown her, she didn't need to always be in pain. That affection could happen even without it. Finally, her feet found the waves, and she got closer to the water. She got ready to jump into the liquid. Friends and others who had been invited would be here soon. However, for now, she wanted her boyfriend to chase her, and to just play in the water. It would be fine. Everything was fine. [member="Jerek Zenduu"] wanted her. What else mattered?

The sun was warm and being on a beach was something exciting. Being with people around her age was nice for a change, she was surrounded by older people, her Master and her family, they all had ideas and plans on where they wanted to go. Kat was still too young to care and just wanted to have some fun. She was wearing a fancy new outfit that her sister had brought her, it was something new and quite attractive. Not surprising, considering her sister had such good fashion taste. What was more surprising was the fact that Kat would wear it, however, she felt like showing off and with the beautiful warm weather, couldn't resist the urge to try it out.

Walking around the beach, Kat looked for a spot she could sit and sunbathe. She was wearing the appropriate protection to avoid burning her skin but she was hoping to get some tan. While most Echani were pale and pasty, Kat liked to gain some colour, look healthier than a sheet of white paper. Finding a nice spot near the sea that she could dip into the water later if she decided while far enough back that the waters wouldn't soak her shorts and half top, Kat laid down and stretched out. Looking at the blue sky and sighing in relief, it was a beautiful day and she was going to make the most of it.

As bad, as depressing as the galaxy could get there were always moments of light and fun that you could hold on to, the moments that carried you through the tough times. When you were there you know it, it was something in the air, a sense of the moment that came upon you, and this was one of those times...or maybe that was the sunlight bouncing off the sea, the smell of salt and feeling of the sand beneath her feet. It was just so hard to tell these days. A smile pulled at the pink-haired Jedi's lips as she reached up, using one finger to push up the lens of her sunglasses as she burrowed her feet into the sand, feeling the warmth of the particles as she heard the sounds of laughter rolling off the beach. It looked like she wasn't the first one here, but then at least it wasn't too crowded either.

Kicking her feet loose of the sand that had surrounded them the girl started towards the beach shack, slinging her bag over one shoulder. The sun and the sea were perfect, but before she settled down there was one thing she was missing, a nice cold drink...and a big hat...ok so maybe two things. Regardless, that was something she planned to rectify momentarily.

So far I'm doing okay, Seaja thought to herself: she pushed herself forward, her arms slicing fluidly through the water with ease, mimicking the movements shown to her by the instructor only moments ago. Suddenly, the water began to surge around her, and she felt, more than saw, that it was time. Lifting herself up, balanced (however precariously) on the board, the young Mirialan rose to her full height, foamy sea water splashing all around her and the joyful yells of her fellow surfers mixing with the noise of the ocean. Somehow, miraculously, Seaja managed to guide herself forward on the board, staying upright as the wave grew behind her. I'm doing it! She thought joyfully, a rush of excitement building up inside her.

So happy to be succeeding, she lost focus on what she was doing, and with a yelp of surprise, was knocked off of her board, rolling head over heels through the waves. Spinning about in the water with her eyes tight shut, Seaja became panicked, grasping around for something to hold onto and get control of her body movements. In the moment, her hand connected with a foot, and she grabbed on, using it to pull herself up out of the water and into the air, where she gasped, catching her breath, and latched onto the surfboard she sensed nearby.

"Ohmygosh-" She wiped a hand over her face, clearing her eyes of moisture to see her surroundings -- and whose foot she had grabbed -- and found herself looking across the surfboard at what a human male, about her age, who also seemed to have taken a spill. But he managed to stay with his board.

"I'm so sorry," She said quickly, greatly embarrassed at her own foolishness and lack of skill.

This was.. New. Kahlil sat a distance away from the gathering, his bare feet resting in the waves as he hugged his knees to his chest. When he first arrived he saw [member="Allya Vi'Dreya"] alone with that Jedi [member="Jerek Zenduu"] , and he assumed she had asked him there to help her kill him. Jedi were the sworn enemy of the Sith after all. In but a moment he had his spell prepared, the invisible spear aimed to strike down his peoples hated foe.

Then they kissed.

Confused, Kahlil had wandered away, letting the spell evaporate above him. This was a place to relax. Have fun.

When was the last time he ever had fun?

"The son of the Emperor nose deep in some picture books? How pathetic."

"He's incredibly weak from what I hear. His brothers and sisters all are far stronger and smarter."
"There had to be at least one bad egg."
Kahlil was just a child at the age of five. He was the smallest of his brothers and sisters. The slowest to answer. The quietest. He had always preferred his books. One specifically that he had been given from his mother. A simple picture book about a tortuous and the hare. A simple story for a child to learn the importance of patience. He'd wander the halls of his fathers castle with it clung to his chest.

There were always the mocking voices. The people who saw him act like a child should and assume him weak. It was when another child had decided to make a name for themselves that Kahlil lost any chance to have a childhood. The boy took his book and set it aflame, mocking the young Zambrano as he started beating him to death. Through this Kahlil used his fear, frying the bully in a torrent of lightning.

From then on no one mocked him. But he no longer had the chance to relax. Rivals rose and fall, threatening to kill him if he faltered.

Sitting alone in the waves the Epicanthix let himself smile. Maybe for once he could let himself relax. He dug his toes into the sand, taking a moment to to just appreciate not being threatened for the first time in a long while.

Milla stood on the beach, where the ocean met the sand, her arms stretched out and eyes closed. She breathed in the sea breeze that drifted in from offshore. The waves rolled across her bare feet, causing her to dig her toes into the wet sand. This was all a new experience for her, as she had never seen the ocean before.

The young girl opened her eyes and let her arms drop to her side. Her blue eyes watched the equally blue waves for a few moments longer before she began to make her way up the beach. Every once and a while stopping to pick up a seashell or two. Her eyes scanned out over the water as she debated about going swimming, she did have a new pair of black and green swim shorts with matching top. The water was a lot deeper than she was used to, which made her a little more hesitant. For now, she made her way up the beach, enjoying the sun and warmth.

A day at the beach! And not only that, but just for teens as well! Lori heard about it throughthe holonet on one of those teen chat groups that she joined into. With her life being a bit topsy turvy, what with her home life on Commenor, Force philosophy training, lightsaber building and such, she needed a distraction. And now she had her first boyfriend! So of course she just HAD to bring him along. Even though he was older than 19 standard years by... a few years. Ahem.

Lori had found the perfect dress for it too. Not to mention a hat and sunclasses to protect herself from getting too much sun. She was pretty fair in skin, so it didn't take much for her to get sunburned.

After parking her training fighter, Grey Sparrow, on the landing pad, she opened the canopy and climbed out, landing with a thud down below. She turned and looked up to [member="Zeke Tune"] that had sat in the seat behind her, smiling as she adjusted her hat and put on her sunglasses. "It's a gorgeous day out here! And the cove looks beautiful.
I bet that you'll get lots of artistic ideas here. Of course I'm not expecting you to draw. This is a day off, so you shouldn't. But you'll surely find lots of inspiration for later, anyways."

Hopefully he wouldn't be barred from entry. That would be SO EMBARRASSING!

Abigail's eyes momentarily lit up as she saw the beautiful ocean. She gazed at the water for a bit until she was broken out of her trance by some kind of sound. She tilted her head to look at what she just heard and was immediately greeted by Beth looking at her with one brow raised. Abigail let out a small and shy chuckle as she realised she probably hadn't reacted at all to Beth and had just been staring at the ocean for quite a while.

"It's uh... it's really beautiful, don't you think?", she asked, hoping Beth wasn't expecting an answer to some unheard question.

She gave Beth a warm smile before she continued walking down towards the beach. It had been such a long time since she had went on a vacation. Now that she thought about it, she realised that she had probably never taken a real vacation. Not one like this anyway.

Abigail put her black sunglasses back on her head as she looked around. The place was absolutely beautiful. It was sometimes much too easy to forget the galaxy also contained beautiful places like these, and wasn't just filled with the dark warzones Abigail usually visited. But, this change in scenery had, of course, also requested a change in her wardrobe. Abigail had been at a loss as to what to choose, but after some research on the Holonet, she decided upon wearing a sundress with a blue bikini underneath.

As she peered into the distance, she spotted a few people on the beach, and she believed there was also a cafe somewhere nearby.

Halfway down towards the beach, Abigail stopped for a moment before she turned towards her friend and she gave her an uncertain smile.

"I'm not really sure about this", she said. "Aren't all the people here supposed to be - you know - children?"

Then Abigail shot Beth a big grin as she added, "Young kids like you." She kept her eyes locked on Beth, ready to defend herself against some sort of retaliation with a smile. Even though Abigail was one or two years older than Beth, she still enjoyed teasing her.

Unfortunately, Abigail wasn't sure who was coming to this little getaway, but she hoped she wouldn't be the only one a bit older than the rest. Ah well, maybe she'd recognize some of the people here, even though she found that to be unlikely.

All in all, she was glad to have [member="Beth Cadera"] at her side.

Shoden Moz

Lady Mischief of Nordel
How does one get off a planet, onto another, and into beachwear sundresses, all while ditching one's secret service? Rather simple! You ah, well it actually wasn't simple. But that was just what Shoden had managed to do for like, the third time that day. Honestly she paid them way less than she ought to to deal with putting up with her, what with the stress she put them under. Still, it was nice to be free from their watchful eyes a while, as she stepped out of the borrowed transport with a delighted sigh of relief. It was nice here, especially in the sundress she had picked out. Granted less fun were the bandages wrapped around her left stump wrist, so that she wouldn't freak everyone out what with the way her stump looked. Wasn't usually something that sat well with people's stomachs for some reason.

Putting on a hat and sunglasses, she was quite delighted as she felt the wind against her skin, puffing away at the cig she'd brought with. Ever since she'd caved and borrowed her driver's she found them quite efficient at keeping her from eating several pounds of candy a day, long as she was careful. Another puff and it was like, half-ish done, and she noticed [member="Loreena Arenais"] (and [member="Zeke Tune"]) and offered her cousin a happy wave, with the stump arm. Not that she was going to move in and steal her moment, instead she planned to find the cutest girl she could and have fun herself.

The real question, which girl wasn't.. occupied?

It was lucky that her legs didn't get hot easily, being out in the sun with metal legs was a risk but Kat knew her legs were more than capable of keeping cool, it took a lot more than a nice day to get them hot. Looking around, she noticed that plenty of people had come as couples, there was a few faces she recognised, giving Asaraa a wave and smile as she waved to a few other familiar faces. However, she wasn't too disappointed to be on her own, though she might have brought Shorty her droid along, but he'd just cause trouble with a lot of the boys around. There was a mixed bag of people, some Sith, some Jedi, some neither and some just people without the Force. Kat remembered when she used to be a normal person, just obsessed with her tech. It made her smile thinking to those days.

Sitting up, Kat gave a big stretch and lifted her sunglasses. She pulled out a design on a type of armour she was curious in trying to build. Even being a Jedi wasn't going to stop her from being the best tech-head she could be. While she wasn't actively looking to join people, most of whom were with their partners and no way was Kat being a third wheel, she wasn't against being approached. Kat scanned over the armour, seeing different ways she would have gone about things and alternatives that might prove to improve the design she already has. It was fascinating to read it. Her father loved these type of things, she just wished they could have built the armour together, she always loved to bond with her father.

Taking a sip of water from a bottle she had, she looked up and daydreamed a little.

Abby?”

Abiiiiigail?”

Beth almost started to wave her hand in front of [member="Abigail Meredydd"] face. Lucky for her, Abigail replied and asked her if she thought it was beautiful. Beth chuckled and nodded – almost like Westralis. “It really is,” Beth agreed after she took in the white sand and clear, beautiful blue of the ocean water. Granted, the cozy cove itself was spectacular. A real beauty.

But, I was asking, what kinda music do you like? I brought a speaker, so we can jam some to our own music…” Beth patted a relatively large bag that was hanging on her shoulder. Alongside, it contained plenty of sunscreen for them too.

Beth’s hair was placed in a fairly messy bun. A light-yellow dress draped over her frame, hiding a light peach colored bikini. She thought she could see some of the figures now – a were familiar. Perhaps Loreena Arenais? And maybe… Kat? She couldn’t quite tell, yet. The sun was bright in the sky and Beth used one hand to act a bit as a 'visor' as she looked through the sandy beaches. She quickly gave up as she digged in her bag for her own sunglasses, then putting them on once found.

Beth perked a brow as Abigail stopped, which prompted a small shrug. “I dunno, I think it’s like… Teens. So not kids.” Beth put one hand on her chest and acted quite offended, “Abby! I’m older than you, technically speaking.” she retorted matter-of-factly. “But, come on! It’ll be fun. We don’t even really have to interact with each other. You’re busy, I’m busy, let’s just enjoy some fun together without all the stress of the Republic or Mandoland and just rock out to some music, swim, and maybe get a little sunburn that we'll regret tomorrow.

She nudged Abby on the shoulder playfully, with a big smile. With that in mind, they returned their journey to the beach. “Hmmm, how about right there? It’s close to the water, but pretty close to the café too.”

Zeke Tune

Your Secret Dark Obsession
The fighter ride had been rather enjoyable. She was an amazing pilot. [member="Loreena Arenais"]would give him a run for his money, and probably win, if he was being honest. He was good, but she was on another level. As they hopped out, and she spoke, he took the time to admire her in the dress. A bit of color went to his cheeks. She was a beautiful creature. He always wanted to draw her, but she was insistent that today be a “day off” so, he was going to oblige her. Make your girl happy above all else, was his mother's instructions on the matter.

Zeke was a rather large, imposing figure on the beach. He wore a white tee-shirt and swim trunks, flip flops on his feet, and sunglasses. While most of the others were teenagers, including his young lady, he was not. In his mid twenties, Zeke was a full grown man, and looked every bit it. He stopped and pulled out a basket from the fighter, as they walked towards the ocean. It had a few surprises, like a large foldable umbrella, a large beach towel, food and drinks, and of course, sunscreen to protect Lori's delicate skin. What kind of man wouldn't be keen on protecting the girl who had swept them off their feet?

Haha, yes dear. Hmm, did you know I love the ocean? I think I mentioned it. It's so beautiful, but I really love swimming. Have since I was a kid. One of the few times I just could relax and let myself go.” He reached out, and took Lori's hand in his, not caring as the people she knew came up. Oh he wanted them to see. It was the brat in him.

He gave her hand a squeeze, as they walked onto the beach. “Lori, lovely, should we place the umbrella near the water, or closer to the shack?” Zeke didn't even notice everyone else, honestly, his mind was memorizing the look of her on the beach, in that dress. A small part of him hoped she didn't change into a bathing suit, because, he didn't honestly want to act like a totally mesmerized idiot in front of everyone....because lets face it, that was pretty much the reaction she had on him. His mind just couldn't keep up or cope.

Demitry sat away away from most ofthers, sulking in a corner. He'd originally been enthusiastic about coming, but had lost enthusiasm for this when he had realised he was as socially competent as a dead fish. He'd barley spoken to anyone his age.. Ever. Not just this, but he'd came expecting it to be a little colder, and was ridiculously overdressed. He'd placed his coat against the floor to use as a towel, but this didn't solve his problem at all. He yawned as he sat up, looking around idly for someone who he thought looked interesting. He stood up, running a hand through his hair. "Right..." He said to himself, continuing to look around. "Wasn't expecting to be this bored."

He frowned, eventually walking over to [member="Kahlil Zambrano"]. "Alright? I don't know anyone here, and you're the first person I saw.. I'll go if you'd rather be alone, of course, I understand that as well."
