Kaine emerged from another cut grate in the wall, appearing outside of the building overlooking a massive dropoff into the lower levels of Coruscant. Kaine glanced downward and knew that his timing would have to be absolutely perfect in order for this to work. He saw what he was waiting for, a civilian repulsorcraft that was cruising a few meters below his position, and he made his move. Kaine leaped from his position and hurled straight towards the craft, and Kaine landed with a thud on the hood of the craft, scaring the female driver nearly to death with his sudden appearance. Wasting no time, Kaine jumped into the passenger seat and forcefully pushed the woman out of the craft, where she fell to her death. Kaine took control of the craft and redirected it towards the nearest spaceport.

CHANCELLOR'S CHAMBER

As the proximity mine flew toward Darth Apparatus, the Sith raise his right arm further up. His influence on the Force wrapped around the explosive and immediately detonated it at the apex of its arc. Due to the tight quarters, the explosion's shock wave was a more powerful ripple than if the fight was outside. The black cloak that draped over the Darth's body fluttered in the sudden gust of wind and began to tatter.

Meanwhile, as the soldiers sprayed a volley of plasma blasts at both Sith, the Darth drew a red lightsaber and deflected the bolts as well. He stood his ground. None of his deflections intentionally flew back toward the soldiers. Instead, the Darth's focus seemed to lock onto the Jedi Grandmaster - Teferi - standing before him.

Then, the hall was showered by a blinding light and disorientating noise that would be distracting to all within the area - even the Darth - as he began to direct his attention on the incoming threat that came with Dex.

There was no winning this fight. It was time the Republic's soldiers and Teferi escaped, before the death toll escalated any further.

"Escape, we should." Teferi muttered to the soldiers standing around him. "Live to fight another day, we will."

His green skin seemed to burn brightly as he stared at the new Sith (@[member="Darth Apparatus"]), and held us his hand, sending a wave of the Force at the Sith strong enough to shatter the walls of the Senate doors. "Come, come come. Run we must."

CHANCELLOR'S CHAMBER

Even though the Force was enough to give the Darth a decent amount of perception as his sight and hearing were dulled, it was not enough to be able to sense Teferi's Force push in time. The moment the Jedi threw out his hand, Darth Apparatus flew back with a grunt. His body slammed against a wall and landed in a side hall - giving Teferi and Flint a clear run to the exit.

Yet, this chance would not be available for long. A disgusting feeling of hatred and anger poured out from the Darth, which any Force sensitive would have been able to feel. The Darth immediately began to slowly get up. Then, a deafening bellow from the Sith Master ranged through the halls - cracking some of the walls close to Darth Apparatus.

"Pull back! They are deflecting! Switch to Stun mode! Daniels move! Get to the Security teams!"

Pherson waved his troopers to regain their footing and make a mad dash past Apparatus and to the Security Teams. With blaster fire everywhere and their proximity mines between them and Moridin? It seemed the best bet they could make. Just keep shooting.

.. "Heavy Team inbound."
.. "Gunships standing by."
.. "Army reinforcements coming in by truck. Parameter is green."
.. "Air space is all clear. Standing by."
.. "Jedi Forces are Rallying. Coming to you. Time to close the noose."

___

The air space was holding but no gunships had noticed Kaine's wild theft. It seemed the agent had made his escape.

Moridin covered his ears apathetically as Apparatus loosed his howl of pain and anger through the room. The Stump still felt hot upon his ear, a thing that amused him quite a bit as Apparatus roared. The Dreadlord kept his ears covered, knowing the soldiers would cease their firing as the other Sith Lord roared. The Dreadlord felt he had already done his part here, Apparatus could take care of the rest, including the little green alien.

As the force scream came to an end Moridin removed his hands and grabbed several of the fleeing soldiers with the force. He snapped their necks with a quick flick of his wrist and then returned his attention to Apparatus, curious to see what the other Sith did.

"KEEP FIRING! MOVE NOW!"

Dex saw an opening for escape and was going to help his comrades in taking it. He reached into his utility belt and produced the only two grenades he had left: a concussive grenade and a flashbang, before breaking into a full sprint once the flashbang grenades exploded. He was far enough back to not be phased by the light, and the entirety of the Republic force were wearing helmets that would filter out the light. The only ones who would be phased were the Sith. Dex threw the concussion grenade into the Chancellor's chambers, allowing it to detonate with a strength equivalent to that of a force push: just enough to keep the Sith out of the way whilst they all moved.

Dex came skidding to a halt before Tefari and moved to scoop the Grandmaster under his arm and sprint back. In his wake, he left the flashbang, so that if the Sith attempted to tail him, they'd be greeted with another wonderful blast of light. If he was successful in his scheme, the General would have made a mad dash to the balcony where Pherson's transport still waited. Once within, they'd await Pherson and attempt to get out of there in one piece...but this was far from over. The Sith caught the Republic offguard and it would never happen again.

Teferi was scooped under the arm of Dex and immediately went into a trance, using what was left of his body and his mind to shield the survivors from the Siths' dark energies.

Pherson lost one more man to a strange, and drawn-out choking ability by Moridin, before they reached the gunship. The General and the Grandmaster where aboard. It was time to go. Pherson and Daniels climbed aboard and he gave the rest of the Navy a shout,

"Rally everyone with the Jedi Forces. Gunships, Heavy units, everyone! Counter-Attack on Captain Hawk's orders. Push those mutants out of there."
.. "All aboard! Here we go!"

Pilot Taylor fired up the engines and dusted off. Leaving the massive gathering of Jedi and Army forces to clear out the building. They would also find Ned and see him safely away.

Once safely in the air, Dex breathed a sigh of relief before facing Pherson. He placed a hand upon the Commander's shoulder, a somber expression upon his face. "We lost too many good men today...but I swear to you, this isn't over Commander." He exhaled, collecting his thoughts, "Get us en route to a frigate on the double. We need to get Tefari treated, and I want to follow up on the Senators we sent to Saelari."

Moridin howled with an amused chuckle, almost falling over with hilarity. As the soldiers ran out another explosion wafted through the air, slightly pressing against him although he managed to keep himself fully upright. The Grin on his face moved away slightly as he sensed the presence of those outside. Still he found the current situation very funny. The Sith had effectively thrown the Jedi and the Republic from their own home.

The Dreadlord walked over to one of the Chancellor statues and then picked up his severed hand. The Appendage was now a pale white, but still viable to be sutured back into place. Moridin called upon the Darkside of the force, grabbing one of the dying soldiers by the lapel. A massive amount of the force poured from the man and into the Dreadlord as Moridin trained the life from him.

“Do you know that little whelp? The green one?” Moridin asked his fellow master as he inspected his severed hand. He injected the palm with the darkside of the force, keeping the cells and nerves within it alive. He would need an actual doctor to reattach it, but until then he could keep it on ice so to speak.

The moment one of Flint's soldiers fired a stun ray at Darth Apparatus, the Sith Lord made a quick, violent roll to the side. His left hand's fingers jammed into the wall. His gaze locked upon a certain soldier - rank and file unknown yet not Flint. Then, the Sith Lord dashed toward him.

It seemed as if the Darth's body moved across the distance between him and the soldier in an instant. The grunt's body was crushed upon the wall behind him. Death was certainly instantaneous.

Without hesitation, the Darth then tossed, with one arm, the corpse at a few straggling soldiers of the Republic's party. He avoided what fire was thrown at him - his size deceiving just how quick he could be.

However, it seemed as if he need to close the gap between him and those he wished to slay. As he crouched down in preparation to leap at Dex and Teferi, the flashbang and concussion grenade went off. The Darth stumbled, giving more of a head start for the fleeing Republic forces.

Yet, his recovery was quick. With great speed, Darth Apparatus began to give chase. Yet, he was unable to catch up to them before they reached the gunship.

Replying to Moridin, Darth Apparatus said, "Ye̴s, ͟a̧nd̷ ͠h̛e mu͟st̶ ͞die̛.̸"

Then, Darth Apparatus extended a hand toward the gunship and began to wrap his influence in the Force around it - cuing Moridin to help him in this task as well.

"An act of terrorism, it was. Destroyed, they will be, if much longer they remain." Teferi was trying to hint that the General should be redirecting the army of the Republic to the Senate immediately to clear the Sith. "Secure Corucant's borders, we should."

He passed out shortly thereafter.

Moridin scoffed in further amusement but did as he was bade to do by the other Sith. He placed his dying hand within his coat pocket, gently putting it in place. Then the Dreadlord raised his free right hand, his palm open. His own force ability wrapped itself around the transport, it snared around the ship like a heavy chain wrapping itself over and over until it was held in place by the Dreadlord.

Then he seized his palm and pulled the ship towards himself. He mimicked Apparatus' motion tearing at the ship with the force and intending to send the ship crashing into the senate building.

"Taylor! Give that kriffer our regards!" Flint shouted in abject anger.
.. "Coming right up sir!"

A gunship had missiles. And now was a very good time to make use of them. Pilot Taylor didn't even bother with a lock, he just lined up the nose and flipped the switch. Unleashing two missiles into the causeway above Apparatus' position. Their gunship would leave unharmed. The Sith wouldn't.

Teferi opened one eye, slightly gaining conciousness, and waved away the weak grip the Sith had on an entire moving ship. A better bladesman the Sith might have been, but stronger in the Force, he was not.

The missiles struck the Senate building above the location of the two Sith. Rubble began to fall below. Quickly, Darth Apparatus released his telekinetic grip on the ship and retreated into the building to avoid being crushed by the debris. The gunship at this point would have been beyond the Darth unless he wished to fight the entire planet for it.

However, the Darth did not seem to be finished with his short encounter with Teferi. Reaching out with the Force once more, the Darth's terrible voice smothered the ears of those on the gunship.

"F̧lee ͜f̀rom̴ ̷y͠oưr ͏o͏wn sȩnat͟e, ̴Je̸di,̕" he bellowed, "F͟le͘e͞ ̷fro̷m͏ y̸o̡ur̀ ͢worl̨d̀ś.̷"

With growing fervor, he continued, "Į ҉wi̵ll̶ bu̶r̛n̕ al͝l yo͘u̴r w̵o̶rĺds͞ ás͝ ͝I͞ h͘ad͠ ̡yea̧rs a͟g̴o.̨ ͜I w͜i̢ĺl ̵onc҉e̵ ag̴ąin ̛sit on͜ ͞a̴ mo̕unta̧i̧n o̡f͡ Jedi ͘c̡oŗp̷s͏es̡ ̧as͠ ̷yo̸ur ̕Repub̶li̡c͟ wit͢hȩrs҉ ̨an̶d ̡d͘ie͏s̨. ́You͡ wi͡ll ͡no͘t̨ sto̷p̢ mę!"

Moridin as well bounded backwards as the building collapsed on top of them, he moved quite a bit faster than Apparatus being that as he trained to do such things. Eventually the other Sith landed besides him, and then once again yelled out into the open. The Dreadlord rolled his eyes slightly, although what Apparatus said interested him quite a bit.

“Ah so you do know this creature...closely.” Moridin mused silently after the other Sith finished speaking. The Dreadlord began to whistle silently, he found this entire situation far too amusing. The Republic, on its first day of existence had been kicked from its own home. Its most powerful Jedi, and nearly been killed. The situation was hilarious. “I am leaving this world Apparatus. Ive had my fun.”

Moridin stepped back fully into the building, he walked among corpses of Republic soldiers, and those of his hounds as well. The Creatures had stood up quite well in a fight, although he would have to bring more next time. Tendrils of blackness wrapped around the Dreadlord, the darkside of the force began communing him slowly, his way of...disappearing.

Flint finally had a moment to acknowledge the High General's comments. Nodding in reply. They had lost too many good men. Too many good men to monsters. Not just Sith, but Gods. Shadows in the form of men. Vaporous beings. And obviously nigh unkill-able. Such was the burden of the Jedi, I suppose.

"Pilot Taylor. Good work. Now get us out of here."
.. "Thank you sir. Heading to the Rally Point now. ...Oh. And Captain Hawk is on the channel for you sir."
"I'll take him. ...Go ahead Captain. We're all ears."
.. "Commander. High General. ...We're forming up our counter attack now. Mixed units, Bothan Sappers, and Jedi Guardians to lead the charge. We should have those Sith terrorists cleared out in no time. They can't fight a whole planet. We'll get em'. Just come on home."
"Acknowledged Captain. We are enroute to the Space Station Rally Point now. Give em hell down there. Gunboat Seven out."

Flint closed the com and took a moment to breath. His armor was untouched, his ammo clip only half-empty. A mine still lay unused on his belt and his HUD still blinked with green vital signs. In all truth, he was completely unharmed. ...So why did he feel so angry. He was one of the lucky ones.

The Republic Commander took a seat and remained silent for the rest of the trip. He had men to mourn, families to think about. Without someone to quell these demi-gods of destruction? It was only going to get worse from here.

With Moridin's departure, Darth Apparatus was alone inside the senate building. He walked toward the Grand Convocation Chamber, where many repulsorpods remained dormant and unused now that the building had been evacuated.

From there, he disappeared into the bowels of the Senate, and eventually the deeper levels of Coruscant itself. When the squadron of Jedi and soldiers would come in and attempt to secure the building, and potentially find any survivors, they would not be able to find any trace of the Sith that had plagued them today.

There would be one gift the Darth left behind for the Jedi to find, though. It was a crimson holocron saturated in the dark side of the Force nestled in a somewhat hidden crevice. Inside would be vast knowledge of the dark side and long forgotten Sith empires, just waiting to tempt a weaker willed Jedi.
