SPECIAL FEATURES

• Much like previous Aurora cloaking devices, the Hades is designed to be linked together with other devices to create larger overlapping cloaking fields to cover larger ships.

DESCRIPTION

Developed as part of Aurora Industries' Aeon Program, the S-03 "Hades" Cloaking Device was designed as an iterative upgrade to the company's previous Eligor Cloaking Device. The mandate from the company executives was to further increase the energy efficiency of the device and limit the weaknesses of the previous device in some manner. The engineers for the system were stationed at the Aurora facility on Enigma Prime, having moved their facility there from Maramere in recent years due to the abundance of stygium crystals located there. Stygium and Absencite were once again the core of the Hades, and the further energy efficiency mandate was met by adding byrothsis focusing lenses and Arkanian diamond crystal matrices to better channel the energy for the device. The devices would once again make equipped ship's invisible to the naked eye, sensors, and even the Force when their fields are activated, and much like the Eligor, they were designed to link together to cloak larger ships to save space.

The engineers also directly integrated a Ramuh-II power core within each device to give them dedicated power sources that wouldn't require the equipped ship to use its own power generator to fuel the device's use, although they are still tied into the system of the equipped ship, just in case. With the power issues solved, the team also installed a dedicated gravitic modulator within each Hades device. These modulators make use of the unique gravity-warping properties of isotope-5 to precisely control and manipulate the mass and gravity signatures of the equipped starship to make detection by gravtraps and other far more difficult.
