Private Runaway Slave

Mila, ward to Vemric Keldra , and former slave to.one of the lesser Hutts. She, like most females of her species, was slender and well shaped, especially in the more womanly areas, due in large part to her past slavery, when she was put through exercises and diets that made these particular areas more pronounced. Her clothes while still pretty skin tight and form-fitting, were far more modest than what the Hutts would usually permit their slaves, a short sleeved shirt and pants, with a belt and connected leg strap, between which was a large pouch which carried various instruments for math and measurement, as well as a few basic chemicals and empty vials for various purposes. On her left forearm was a computer attached to a broad latex strap that held it to her arm, this was a useful databank and was instrumental to ensuring that she had all of her knowledge with her wherever she went.

She was walking calmly through the streets of Naboo, reviewing her homework assignments and extra credit projects, applying new knowledge to old ideas and changing them as she went. This meant that she didn’t see the two bounty hunters watching her from the rooftops. Oblivious to the danger she was facing, she kept walking.

Ah, Naboo.

It was a paradise, with so much history. Cato had just escaped slavery a week ago. He'd hitched a ride to Naboo a day ago. He bought himself two new Tomahawks, and a set of normal clothes. That's all he had. But he wasn't a material man, he had been a slave, now he was a free man. That was all he needed.

He didn't have a plan. He simply wanted to explore the planets he had seen on holo-tv. Maybe he'd find a job, he knew he'd need to at some point, but for now he just wanted...peace. Naboo was the perfect place to find peace. Oceans, wonderful weather, stunning cities, and kind people were abundant here, from what he had observed.

Right now, he just wanted a drink. Some sort of juice, or maybe just water. It didn't matter, as long as it wasn't the murky liquid the slavers gave him.

Naboo, One Month Before The Enclave

Joti was positioned on a nearby rooftop, Perched atop the overhang beside one of the many green sloped roofs on her side of the street with one hand and knee against the stone, And the other hand clutching her pronged staff.
She was watching one Mila Uhlesifa Mila Uhlesifa ,
A small twi'lek woman who's only crime was fleeing her captors. Little more than Property that had gone missing. Behind the cold and empty stare of her visor, Joti cringed at the sight, And at the idea. Here she was, Hunting runaway slaves for slimey hutts. It Made her sick, Knowing that she had fallen so far since Cin'Vode. And yet? Here she was. The galaxy never cared for your feelings, For your morals. It only cared for two things: Credits. And Violence. Joti had plenty of one, But not the other. Contract after contract she took, Hunting Bounties and Fighting for Aruetiise from the outer rim to the core worlds. And yet? Obstacle after obstacle, Cheat after cheat. At this point, she was paying more for fuel than she was being paid.
But this? This was all she knew. All she was good for...

This Was Joti.
So, Like a ghost, She traces the rooftops, Watching and waiting as the girl goes about her day, Blissfully unaware that Joti was stalking her. Good. It would be easier on both of them that way...

Equipment:
PP-VWN Sonic Disruptor Staff
, Modified NN-14s, Flamers\Knuckle plate & Toe plate vibro blades built into Beskar'gam, (x10)Paralysis Dart(s), (x1)Thermal imploder, "Skeleton Key"(Belt), "Terminus Shiv"(under bracer), Blackout Baton(Under cloak).

~incomprehensible otherworldly screeching~
Ar'tal sat perched on a balcony. He saw who he believed to be a fellow bounty hunter on a rooftop. 'Better not get in my way.' He knew the bounty was for the return of a slave, but he planned on helping them escape after. Helps stop slavery and he gets payed, 2 birds with one stone. His target walked down the street unaware. "Remember Art, just talk them into going with your plan. Violence is not necessary." He reassured himself preparing to jump down to the street.

Mila hadn’t changed her gait or her posture. She was completely oblivious to the dangers about her. She rounded a corner, and passed by an alleyway, a perfect grab spot. She would keep her eyes on her arm-computer, still applying new calculations to various things, things that looked very distinctly like weapons, destructive ones. These images were surrounded by numbers and symbols that would make zero sense to someone who wasn’t verse do in aerospace engineering or physics.

She, while small, was actually a healthy woman, mostly because she went on the jogging track daily, making sure she maintained her womanly form and made sure she was ready to run very far if she needed to.

Now this was perfect. Her target was heading into a dark alley below, And it was only a few buildings away. With this in mind, Joti begins crossing from one roof to another, Taking running jumps and using her rocket-boots to cross the bigger gaps on her way over, Until she had reached the final rooftop.

Folding her staff and magnetizing it to her back through the cloak to free up her hands, She takes a running leap off the roof, Using her rocket-boots to soften her fall just before she hits the ground with a satisfying * Clink* no thanks to her loose rocket boots, As she lands on one knee and one hand on the ground.

Thankfully she was positioned behind Mila Uhlesifa Mila Uhlesifa , Meaning that the little blue thing would have to run deeper into the alley and not into the crowded streets, Should she get away.

"Don't move..."
She says in a calm but authoritative tone as she draws a single paralysis dart from her belt, Raising the bracer-mounted Dartcaster at Mila as she slides it into the firing mechanism.

She froze. Was she going to get mugged? She didn’t have anything of value aside from her wrist computer, but those were neither expensive nor hard to get, and hers didn’t have anything of real value in it either, just homework and extra credit projects.

Wait... all of her extra credit projects were theoretical weapons, armor and military engineering. She didn’t know for certain if they’d work but if there was a slight chance of it, then she had to keep them out of the hands of Confederation enemies. She had to keep it away from them. So she turned, very slowly to the left, and as she did so reach into the outermost pocket of her leg pouch. In it were two, thin glass vials, one contained magnesium powder, the other potassium nitrate. Then she swiftly flung both down onto the ground in front of her, making it look like she was simply dropping what was in her hand to avoid being shot. (These are the chemicals in flashbang grenades), and the resulting explosion of blinding light and absurdly loud bang were plenty enough to by her time to run in the opposite direction. She didn’t think it’d last long. So she quickly began to unstrap the computer from her wrist and once she rounded a corner slid it under a dumpster so that if she were caught, they wouldn’t get their hands on her blueprints or calculations.

Again, she didn’t know what they might want, nor how useful those blueprints or calculations would be, but she couldn’t risk the safety of the people who had saved her all those months ago.

"That was refreshing." Cato said, wiping the last fuzz from his drink off his lips.

He tossed a credit to the waiter and another to the bartender, and then made his way outside. Immediately across the street he saw a glare, or reflection hit his eye. Curiosity got the better of him as he jogged across the road, full of merchants, workers, and other citizens rushing about, doing their daily routines. Cato envied them. They had a routine. He didn't. His life had been a roller coaster that always ended in the same spot. Then again, their lives were weren't exciting, they didn't have the roller coaster, but they certainly had the same destination every day. He wondered which life he'd prefer...a hard one, always ending the same, or an easy one with no bumps or detours, always ending the same.

He knew one thing: Right now, he would never go back to being a slave.

Finally he reached the other side of the busy road. He scanned the area swiftly. Nothing. He looked up. Nothing.
Bit then he heard it. The soft, but strong voice of a female speaking through some sort of face covering.

"Don't move."

Now he knew something was up. He crouched, and slowly crept forward into the alleyway.

Thankfully for Joti, Her Helmet included a "Flash Visor", Which protected the wearers sight by darkening and absorbing light as the level increases or decreases. whereas before one might have seen her chin or the like trough her visor, It suddenly darkened to a solid jet black, Blocking out any and all light for the duration of the flash, Allowing the Bounty Hunter to maintain line of sight and see which direction the Slave was running. What She wasn't prepared for however, Was the sudden loud noise, Which was similar to an explosion right in front of her, And caused her to flinch, Throwing off her aim. The Paralysis dart fires early, Soaring through the air and imbedding itself in a flower bed nearby.

"Shabuir!" She hisses under her breath.
Just once she'd like this to be easy. The slave would have made things easier on herself too... Joti forces herself to her feet, Running after the slave as she loads another paralysis dart into her dartcaster and swerving around the corner with her dartcaster up and ready. Seeing the runaway slave having stopped near a dumpster, She quickly takes aim and fires the dart.

Assuming it hit, Which there was an easy chance that it didn't, The darts
were designed to target the nervous system of organic beings and either outright paralyze the target, Or cause them enough grogginess to make it Very difficult for them to flee successfully. Either one would be enough for Joti If it hit. She wanted to make this as painless as possible on both sides. There was no reason to harm the girl, Joti thought of herself as a bad person, Yes. But a Monster? No. She just wanted to get the money and go.

- This was a mission that he brought to himself, through his large network of spies and connections to the criminal underground. He had received word that there was a new weapons blueprint that was being developed by CIS Engineer. He could use such developments in his own work since most of his lead scientist were killed during the Siege of Mandalore. That single defining moment crippled his company and any means to develop new works was all he could do. House Awaud was becoming bankrupt due to this as many of his contracts for new weapons and ships were being mothballed. New designed needed to be developed and the United Trade Conglomerate had the means, just no talented engineers left. Thus he was forced to delve into the world of cooperate theft.

- Jaster, the Alor of House Awaud stood at the top of a bell tower looking down at the city. He remembered his youth on Naboo, after being Exiled by Mand'alor the Rebuilder this planet was his temporary home. A personal body guard for the Princes of Naboo, gosh it felt like a lifetime ago. Now that his memories were back he liked to relish in them. It was one of his new favorite past times now that he was old and half cyborg. He could see the city as it was all those years ago, the Confederacy really did change the planet during their years of controlling the planet. He never returned after the young princess died, good memories mixed with the bad.

- "Sir, we have found the target." A droid like voice came in over his coms. He tapped the earpiece in his helmet. "Target seems to be cornered by other individuals, how shall we proceed."

- The Mandalorian stood from his seated position, looking out to where the signal was coming from. He could see traces of figures through the alleyways, but not enough to put himself in danger. He touched his headphone again, "Intercept and retrieve data drive from target, do not damage that goods."

- A droid voice came in over his radio again, "Understood sir."

- From the shadows three hooded individuals exited and looked over the Bounty Hunter. They were waring long dark cloaks and hoods with armor on their chest and arms. They looked human enough, but the voice that followed sounded like they had a voice changer on them. "Cease and Desist, Twi'lik Female is coming with us." They brought out a VibroSword in one hand and a Pistol in the other, they had them at the ready should things go badly.

More voices.

Now it was interesting. He continued to creep forward, squinting to see. Finally he made out five figures. One was cornered, and one appeared to be leading three more behind it.

He hadn't understood the latter of the voices, it sounded like "Seas and Crisps", but it was so low he couldn't understand it. If it spoke now, perhaps he'd understand what they were saying. He decided to wait before reveling himself. He wanted to know what was going on before he made a move.

Slowly his vision adjusted, and he made out the individuals. It became very clear that they weren't working together. One was a Tweliek female, skinny, and apparently not very well-off. Another was a woman in bright Mandalorian-like armor. Finally, the three people were robed, in all black attire. He couldn't see their faces, nor if they had any weapons.

As little as he knew, he knew one thing: He had a bad feeling about this.

Mila ducked swiftly behind the dumpster to avoiding being shot, and she almost made it. But her leg was caught by the dart, and in just the wrong place too. She was swiftly rendered unconscious, but she was awake long enough to see three robed men, or women, she couldn’t tell, who seemed to be trying to help her, or take the bounty themselves. She was definitely very, very screwed.

She awoke to bound hands, her wrists locked together behind her back. She was in a ship, likely it’s hold, and it was probably one belonging to a bounty hunter.

(You guys go ahead and duke it out, decide who gets to put her back on a leash =] )

Joti had just rounded the corner, Just barely able to hit her target. Good, Hunt over, Time to get the kark out of here and call it a day. But then a trio of cloaked figures descended into the back alley around her, All of which drew vibro blades as they began to surround her. One on her right, One on her left, And on in front of her.

"Cease and Desist, Twi'lik Female is coming with us."

"Kriffing cowards!" She hisses.

She would have to think fast if she was get out of this with the Bounty... She holds her hands up slowly, Almost defensively, Showing one empty hand to the figure on her left, And the other to the one on her right.
Without warning and in one fluid motion, She clenches her fists and turns over her wrist, Using the implant activated bracer to Fire her "Hissing Ghosts" from either wrist, Hurtling a pair of repulsor powered Kunai at both figure's chests at the speed of a blaster bolt.

Then, Activating her rocket boots and reaching around back, She is shot up into the air, Pulling and unfolding her Staff Rifle from her back and Firing at the third figure below her. This staff of hers morphed into a pistol grip at one end, And from the other came a Screaming Golden burst of light as she squeezes on the trigger of the Sonic Disruptor, Which was capable of disintegrating an organic being atom by atom in a matter of seconds, And short circuit any and all electrical components within any non-organic matter it touched. If this figure was hit, And couldn't stop high powered energy or Sonic weaponry, He'd be a dead man before he knew it...
