STRENGTHS
Concealable: Baton collapses down to 20cm, making it easily portable and can be concealed if the need should arise. The addition of the nykkalt coating makes it imperceptible to electronic detection.
Electrified: Capable of producing a powerful electric shock to stun and incapacitant droids and organic creatures. Longer contact is required depending on specific species tolerances. Your average near-human should go down in 3-5 seconds, while Wookiees in 6-7. Larger sentients, such as Hutts, should be handled on a case by case basis, with the general preference being ‘hold until medium-rare’.
Resistant: Particularly resistant to damage thanks to the use of Phrik in its construction. A skilled and motivated user could potentially block lightsaber strikes with this baton if the need should arise.
WEAKNESSESShort Range: Measuring in at 55cm when fully extended, requiring the wielder get close and personal in order to make us this baton effectively.
Coating: While the Phrik baton itself resistant versus lightsabers, the Nykkalt coating is not. Sufficient damage will destroy the covering and negate its ability to shield this baton from electronic detection.
Power Requirements: Runs on a powerful, but limited power cell that can be quickly drained the longer contact is sustained. As it stands, the power cell provided with this model is good for one full minute of full contact.

Its robust composition of Phrik makes it incredibly durable and resistant against everyday wear and tear, making it ideal for tasks such as clobbering that overly enthusiastic Weequay loanshark or engaging in rooftop duels with your local lightsaber brigade member.
To give it an extra edge, the Blackout Baton also features an electrified stun setting for when you really want to drive a point home.
