-Fearless: Roth fears neither death nor pain, and so has very little to prevent from acting recklessly and without concern for his safety.
-Like most star fighter jockeys, Roth has an overinflated sense of his own worth and skills in life, even though he only truly excels at piloting and talking. This comes out in too much bravado and somewhat reckless behavior.
-Borderline alcoholic: He drinks too much and it's getting close to a serious addiction, sometimes hampering his abilities.
+Protective: being raised in the Jensaarai tradition has given Roth an instinctive protectiveness for those around him.
+More or less a kind guy, once you get past the bravado. Enjoys goofing off with kids, playing catch, and teaching them piloting, with or without parental permission.
APPEARANCE:
He's built lean rather than muscular, and somewhat short. He says this helps him fit better in a cockpit. His hair is dark brown, and worn combed back into a retro hairstyle, going down to just below the top of his jacket collar. The jacket is a dark brown military cut jacket with protective patches on elbows and shoulders. Beneath it, he wears a tan shirt and pants combo, with brown knee high boots, and a holster belt slung low across his hip.
Biography:
As a member of the Tillian family, and it's long Jensaarai heritage, Roth was taken in to be trained as a Jensaarai before he was a year old. He wasn't anything exceptional when it came to Force skills or lightsaber combat. Nor did he excel over-much in other the philosophical studies the way his younger cousin Jeela did. What was obvious though, was that he was born to fly. He spent every spare moment with the Ring Defenders or the mechanics, listening to their stories and learning from them. In the moments he couldn't spare, he dreamed of dancing in the starlit voids, nicking nebulae, and riding comets, or running off to practice in the simulators on swoop bikes with his friends, sometimes convincing Jeela and Veino to come along for the ride as well. When he was old enough to try for Defender, he failed the tests, and deciding not to try again for the full Defender title, settled as a member of the Ring Defenders, but working instead with the Suarbi Defense Fleet, acting both as a pilot and reconnaissance freight captain, plodding through the system in an old tramp freighter, carrying cargo and keeping an eye out for trouble. He acted as bait, using the Force when necessary to draw in and distract targets. He also served as a member of the fighter squadron protecting the shipping lanes, getting involved in multiple skirmishes with pirates, smugglers, and other shady folk. This saved him from most of the fall-out of Jeela's leaving and subsequent exile, but he was brought back in to Susefvi for his loyalty to be retested. He passed, though not without arguing with the Saraai-Kar that Jeela had a point. After reconsideration,the council agreed reluctantly, and sent him out into the galaxy to gain a better picture of the galaxy than they currently had. He ended up with the Rebel Alliance, although he had a distinct hunch that this method was not what the council had had in mind.
