Objective 1 - The City

Take a guided tour of the Clan Rodarch town, meet some locals, try the cuisine, marvel at the beautiful underground gardens and the sandswept village that hides the stronghold below.

Objective 2 - The Desert (Hard)

Join a survival expedition into the sands and heat to face the dangers of Mandalore's wild and untamed surface. Many dangerous animals roam freely, and there is the environment to consider, as well as potential dangerous flora mutated by radiation and worse.

You will encounter dangerous animals, some of which may be captured, some may be tameable, others have been driven mad, and will be extremely hostile.

Objective 3 - The Deep (Very Hard)

A guided expedition into the deep caves and caverns that stretch endlessly into darkness. This is the very heart of Manda'yaim and holds wonders and treasures beyond wildest imaginings, but it is not for the timid.

You will certainly encounter dangerous flora and fauna, as well as lost technology, some of which may be booby trapped, or have contaminated the immediate area. Endless miles of dark and cramped caves and caverns well away from the sun's light. There are stories of colossal beasts that live in the deep places, monsters, and hidden relics from bygone ages.

The city, when it had to have a name, was referred to as Yaim by the Clan Rodarch, and Rodarch to the outsider Mando'ade who had been honoured to visit. The surface town is a collection of rock hewn and sand tent dwellings spread out in a canyon valley, masked from the outside on almost all sides by high peaks and cliffs, surrounded outwardly by a seemingly endless desert.

Once inside the town, visitors are often taken by its simplicity and efficiency, with dwellings positioned to take advantage of the cover provided by the rock formations. There are wells that take advantage of natural springs, and shade is provided both by the high wall-like rock faces and the trees here and there.

This is the face that Clan Rodarch shows to the galaxy. Spies and satellites will see only a small village. Artfully concealed within a small cave is the main entrance to the true city.

Once underground, this is where visitors are often struck dumb by the green oasis hidden away. The buildings linked by trees and gardens are dimly lit by shafts of light, a whole underground plant city beneath the surface, stretching down into the depths.

This city is both ancient and modern, with rock hewn galleries dating back thousands of years filled with the most advanced and new equipment. Here the population need not hide their numbers, and the size and breadth of the main cavern system is able to house many thousands of Mandalorians.

Beyond the city, tunnels lead off in all directions into the complicated maze of passages, dead ends, flooded and collapsed ways, caverns both natural and unnatural, and the deep darkness of Mandalore's underground. The creatures that live underground beyond the Clan's city are wild, dangerous, and deadly.

Those who had traveled to the Clan's home by ship or speeder were met at the edge of the canyon, so their craft could be quickly camoflagued. They were all to meet in the village before the three tour groups would set off. Arla was proud to be able to represent her Clan, and there were others who had stepped forward to help.

Archimedes, a proud but quite old warrior had volunteered to take the city tour. She had no doubt he would give a warrior's approximation of the place. The desert tour would be led by a young female. Arla was going along on the cave expedition, which was led by a strange and apparently half-mad scout known as Yom, and his apprentice, a young man who would serve as translator. The cave dialect of Mando'a being particularly difficult for outsiders, even vode, to understand. Everyone wore beskar'gam, there were no aruetiise in a place like this. Even a group of vode was a rare sight.

Clan Rodarch was making a great show of trust and inclusiveness, solidarity with the Protectors and the other Clans, by opening their home in such a way. It went against the grain for some of the arch-conservative types, but the wisdom in building ties took the majority, and swayed the Alor to sanction Arla's request. Several elders including Archimedes spoke in favour of the proposal to invite their vode to visit and enjoy their hospitality, and partake in the hunt. They would share food and drink, and share the dangers and wonders of their home.

Arla stood next to the towering Archimedes, who wore his full battle plate, and cut an impressive figure, magnified by the huge battle axe he toted. Arla was content to stand easy, blasters and blades arrayed within easy reach. She wasn't going to need them here in the city. Even in the aboveground village where the group was assembling, they were quite safe, well within the Clan's territory, and physically shielded by the high rocks around them. Still, the cave guide Yom looked nervous and uncomfortable outside to Arla's eyes.

The soft flapping of gigantic[ feathered wings filled Mairéad's ears between the gusts of wind as she soared high above the deserts of mandalore. She wore no helmet as this was not a combat ride and she wanted to enjoy Snøvinge properly. She also didnt wear the bottom half of her breastplate as her pregnancy made her uncomfortable. The dragon had been keen to come her once he realised that Mairéad was exploring mandalore with new allies. The bonded pair lazily banked across above the sands while descending towards the canyone below where she had been informed the others were gathering. She was interested to see who might show up, she had begun to get to know the various mandalorians that were now following the lead of Ijaat Mereel Ijaat Mereel and his house.

Of the clans that had gathered, the Rodarch were most interesting to Mairéad, obviously the financial side of the more cosmopolitan clans were a different interest, but from.a cultural curiosity perspective, it was the desert dwellers below.

Snøvinge entered the canyon and Mairéad heard a crackle from her earpiece that they were tracking her. She had Arla Rodarch Arla Rodarch she would be arriving. It would be heartbreaking to have some over zealous huntsman put a shot into her mount.

The creature's wings flared to arrest his speed and he landed in the clearing amongst some gathered speeders, seeing Arla and another tall warrior standing proudly to greet guests. Mairéad hopped off of the dragon and walked over, stroking his feathered neck and speaking in Mandoa to him. He made a soothed noise and sat to watch the proceedings. "Hey, How are you all doing? Whats the plan for today?" Mairéad said with a warm smile and she checked her helmet, ready to put it on if needed. She also looked around her and gave a short greeting to any others that might have arrived including Arla's towering associate.

As much as Mia was desperate to join the hunt, but all she had done was hunt and fight in the last few weeks. If it wasn't the eradication of the sithspawn Carnifex had left crawling all over Manda'yaim, it was Malum and if it wasn't Malum it was Carnifex himself. She was supposed to have returned to rebuild, but time and time again she was called in to fight, to clear the path for Ijaat Mereel Ijaat Mereel so that he could lead the rebuilding.

That was fine, that was what she was here for, but every fight was bringing her closer and closer to the edge, if she wasn't careful. she'd burn out before she reached her end goal. She listened intently to Archimedes as he told them of the city and its survival. It lifted Mia's spirits to see so many Mandalorians in once place, to see them thriving.

"Mairead!" Arla moved forward to greet Mairead, even as more than a few of the Rodarch that had gathered, both adults and children, marveled over the dragon. None of them had seen its like before. Archimedes, meanwhile, had already taken to Mia Monroe Mia Monroe ,who was a heroine of his, and was positively gushing about the Clan's home. For a man of such few words, to get multiple sentences was a wonder, but Arla was elsewhere.

"So, the village 'ere keeps the prying heyes haway from the city beneath. We've got quite a few cantinas down there. Heh..." The giant bear of an old man went on in his low growl of a voice, his accent quite strong.

The boy Vaar stayed silently with Yom the uncomfortable in the open cave guide, while Tuur the desert girl followed close behind Arla as she greeted Mairead.

"Welcome vod." Arla said, smiling. Though Archimedes and many of the others wore their helmets, Arla and some chose not to. Vaar and Tuur were both orphans, wards of the Clan, but were worlds different. "This is Tuur." Arla introduced the younger girl, who was apprasing Mairead intently. "You're pregnant." She said. Arla cringed inwardly at the lack of decorum, but Tuur was a Mando, a female, and of the desert people.

Vaux grumbled as her patchwork project exited hyperspace of the striped waste of her people's homeworld. She was born on Concord Dawn herself, so she didn't have the same attachment as others, but it at least was a sight. That wasn't what she was annoyed at though. Her brother made her take a vacation after hearing how many escort missions she'd been on straight.... And maybe her impromptu scouting mission. Either way, if she had to do something, going to a dangerous, hostile world sounded great. Way better than some vacation world, that's for sure. Plus she wasn't sneaking off to do it this time.

She'd land the fighter near the Clan Rodarch town, getting out and patting the rusted fighter before looking out. "Always did get me into Osik old girl." She then started down to the town, noticing where a few vod were gathered. She didn't exactly know anyone there, but to her mind maybe that was a bonus. Meant less talk about the same old same old at least. Vaux would slowly walk up, nodding at the others. The pilot had to admit, this place seemed nice all things considered.

"She is, i'kaad" a soft voice came from behind, confirming the suspicions of Tuur. The tall blonde walked past followed by her folded golden wings and looked at Mairéad. "I'm guessing five months and, hmmm... do you want to know what you are having?" she asked, Mairéad shook her head so Daesyn did not spoil the surprise.

"Alor," she kissed the air next to the cheek of Arla Rodarch Arla Rodarch feeling, or at least not feeling her presence uncomfortably. "Achimedes and Mia, it is good to see you both, we need catch up, former Mandalor Monroe." then she looked at the new faces to their home. She greeted Mairéad, slightly concerned that the pregnant woman was to go on the expedition, she would strongly suggest that she remain above ground. Then at Vaux Gred Vaux Gred "A daughter of Gred, I'm Daesyn, I hope you are ready to enjoy our home, The Alor has quite the treat planned." she smiled with wild eyes and her wings gently shimmered as she was excited. If Vaux was into her mandalorian religion she would recognise Daesyn as a Manda'kyrja.

The blonde turned back to look at the gathered explorers and pulled her pistol out to check it. At her waist was a large headed beskar mace which telescoped into itself. She looked ready for battle.
