Riders on the Sand Storm [SSC Dominion of Tash-Taral]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hEh9LiSzow

Post 1 of 20
Objective: 2 - Investigate Old Sith Tombs
Location: The Great Valley
Arms & Equipment: Go! Mobile Comlink, Amphistaff, Vibroknuckles, Hold-out blaster, "Triple Z"

The dust clouds billowed up from the ground, creating a shroud that rose heavenward for a kilometer.

The wake of sand and dust followed the passage of a swoop. A white panel speeder tearing across the arid landscape at speeds unimaginable. The roar of the repulsorlifts resonated within the shadow of the high walls which encased either side of the valley. The rust-colored horizon was reflected in the blacked out visor of the helmet that the pilot wore, his white garb matching the color scheme of the swoop. A serpentine creature, like a snake of living onyx, was wrapped around his frame. It's dragon-like maw agape as it held it's head aloft to the wind. The beat of it's tail thumped against the pilot's side.

Unlike Midvinter or Rhen Var, Tash-Taral had a climate that was more akin to his amphistaff's native Sernpidal.

Once, he'd roamed like this across the Valley of the Dark Lords on Korriban.

Before the dark times. Before he'd come into [member="Zambrano the Hutt"]'s employ. Before he'd met Anja aj'Rou. Before he'd killed [member="Asaak Tey"]. Before chance or choice or doubt. Before any of it had mattered, or he'd cared about anything. Just a slave, living at the will and whim of another.

He didn't know that the Coalition was here, and he'd be somewhat disappointed to discover the fact. He'd ventured south from Laekia in order to put some distance between himself and the Silver Jedi.

He'd left the lightsaber behind. Just another symbol of something he'd spent too much time chasing. To be the Sith his master wanted him to be. To be the Jedi that Padawan Tey couldn't become.

He wanted time alone. Time in which to simply be him.

And perhaps re-discover who that boy was.

Investigate Ruins

There were more people investigating the ruins she could feel it and it was cool. A number seemed to be around as she was expanding her senses outwards and into the ruins looking for the things. All the fun things they had and could do before she entered cracking a glow rod and walking. The sounds of creatures skittering underfoot and the taste of thick dust was in the air but more then that she felt the force underlying all of it. Thoughts of the dangerous things that might lurk down below had her excited for the fun of exploring as the jedi knight wanted to run forward and get into all of the dangerous things. Who knew what they might be able to find here.

"But wait! ..", there was no time to wait. "There are others in the ship we must get to them and warn them".

Elpsis pulled her along and run for it, Abaigeal knew she could sense the explosion about to occur and that there was no time for rescues. One cannot rescue anyone dead. As the two girls ran for it, the shockwave hit as the ship exploded into pieces her body was propelled in the air as they crested the dune near by and thrown over the head of the large cat. She hit the ground with a hard thud regardless that the sand provide a 'soft' landing it hurt and she is winded once more.

Scrambling to her feet she looked for Elpsis. "You alright?", she asked sensing she is still alive and probably just as injured in the throw as she was. Yet she scrambled forward to the top of the dune. Looking around trying to find any sign that the ones she sensed in the ship had gotten out, she saw some figures below. "Come on Elpsis", she yelled and began down the dune once more.

There was a few more minor explosions in the part of the ship still fizzing with fire but nothing threatening to anyone. But they were too late, the two others had quickly left and flew off, she suspected that one of them had been injured and in need of medical attention.

"Well ... it looks like we are lone out here, well ... except for that big cat. I think we had better find out way out of here". It was time to find some protection from the sun maybe they would come across a ruin or something to offer them respite.

The beast snarled savagely as the two women sailed overhead, though the defensive growl faltered into confusion as it realized they weren't threatening it in the approach. The beast watched the women get up, and start to skirt around it, heading towards the two others ejected by the explosion. A sniff of the air revealed that there was a fifth, bringing others. Too many presences for one beast to deal with. Turning tail towards the ruins it'd been laying low in for the past few days, the beast tore away through the sand, sending up plumes of dust and sand.

A few moments passed, and the beast found itself sliding across the loose sand to a halt, pausing several paces shy of a strange, short 'structure' comprised of sand. Small humanoids were milling about, listening to a large, vaguely familiar humanoid. Red fur atop the humanoids head, also on it's face, gave the beast of a man an imposing mane and a threatening visage to the predators mind. Baring fangs, and snarling savagely, the fur along the beasts back, between the large defensive spikes running along it's spine, stood on end. Tail thrashed as it oriented itself. Why did the beast feel familiarity with the red-furred humanoid? And why did the beast hold so much anger towards him? The beast was unsure, but all it knew, was this man was bad. Not to be trusted. Another snarl was emitted, sending the small humanoids scattering back behind the large man. The beast took a couple cautious steps to the side, making its already massive form look that much more impressive by turning aside, showing as much of it's body towards it's perceived threat as it could. Once it felt it could safely retreat towards the temple, the beast turned tail and fled, charging down the steps, instinctively avoiding trapped stones that would have triggered pitfalls and the like.

Towards the welcoming darkness of the abandoned tome the beast went. Too many humanoids.... why were they here?!

Meet with Traders

"Ah very good." The meeting was going better then she had expected.... well at least she hoped. it helped offering things people could use like the converters for making food and water in deserts and heat. One of the best things she could think about while getting some of their lively stuff like the ocarina and maps to locations they could work for mining and everything. She could recommend some of the reclamation and salvage divisions go into places before hammering out finer details and they were getting some of the things done. She offered a quick smile pouring another drink. "Lets get some more wine in you and we should be able to make some more deal."

Elpsis POV:
Location: Near crater that was the crashed cruiser
[member="Tempest"], [member="Ryn'Dhal"], [member="Abaigeal E'ron"]

And after the titanic explosion both Elpsis and Aba were catapulted through the air as if they were organic boulders. They sailed through the air until they finally impacted upon a sand dune. Elpsis crashed upon the ground with a hard thud and slid across it for a good deal before coming to a halt. Impact hurt, though the sand had cushioned her rapid descent slightly. Speaking of sand, it was truly coarse and got everywhere, especially since her clothes had been partly burnt.

For a moment or two she just lay there before she registered that Aba was talking to her. "Is no an acceptable answer?" she asked sarcastically. "I'm well enough. Fire barely touched me." Well, she probably had a concussion and her body was aching. "Hey, Aba, wait!" but it seemed the Black Orchid was taking off since people might be hurt. Now Elpsis sort of loved her like a sister, even though she had trouble admitting it, but she was such a do-gooder sometimes!

By now she had registered that Tempest had approached. She was still in a bit of a daze when the beautiful Dahomian rushed towards her. Elpsis would probably not admit it, but her concern was sort of heartwarming. "Aren't you a sight for sore eyes," she spoke, coughing a bit. "I'm ok...sort of." With a pained groan she managed to get up, holding on to the Dahomian for support, as she tried to follow in Aba's wake. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the massive cat taking off, sending up plumes of dust and sand. Where it was racing to, Elpsis did not know.

Sumiko POV
Location: Ancient tomb (away from the main action)
[member="Darth Shadow"]

Sith and various darkside Forcers were always fond of prattling about pain had negative effect on them. Somehow they could convert even the most excruciating sensations into power and draw strength from it. Alas, Sumiko had yet to discover how master such supernatural feats, and so she was left with the fact that getting stabbed bloody hurt.

So she did the conventional thing and bandaged her shoulder, as much as that was possible since it was an awkward place to reach, but it should stop the bleeding at least. Now that the adrenaline had run its course the pain was returning with full force. Her head was spinning from the impact of her fall earlier, though her heart had stopped racing at least.

Oh, and the sword was trolling her. "If I were to perish, I'll make sure to drop you into the deepest chasm so it'll take ages for anyone to find you," she said a bit bitchily. The former Inquisitor retrieved a vial from her medkit. She popped the lid and extended the syringe, then jabbed it into her right arm. It hurt, for the substance was rather potent in a torturous way in the first few seconds; painfully so. So she bit down on a piece of cloth to suppress a scream as it worked its way through her system, then dulled her sense of pain and seemingly rejuvenated her muscles, giving her a temporary rush. A few seconds after the initial stab of pain the sensation had settled into a dull ache.

"I am not going to die here." Taking a deep breath, she finally tried to stand upright, though she was rather shaky on her legs. Her willpower wrapped around the sword as she gripped it. There wasa crunch when she roughly pulled her dislocated shoulder back into place, though the drug mitigated the pain a bit. She took her first, tentative steps further down the corridor into the gloom.

Soon she came across...a chasm so wide and deep that it appeared to be dropping into the centre of the planet. Sumiko stood at the edge, then took a step back. No one could jump that far! Well, if Kerrigan were here, she would probably just fly over, but the Atrisian could not do that.

"This is...absurd - and like an awful ancient tomb cliche out of a bad video game," she grumbled. "They must've constructed this so that they could cross the distance somehow." She looked around for inspiration, but could see nothing until she happened upon a carved glyph on the wall. It showed a righteous person walking over the chasm without difficulty while the evil fell. "A faith-based morality tale. How original and uplifting," she added sardonically. Failing to find a mechanism of some sort, she picked up a stone. "Might as well try this."

Then she tossed the stone out. She expected it to tumble into the abyss, but rather it skittered across an invisible surface and then dropped! A bit surprised by this, the Atrisian knelt down, reaching out and touching a thin bridge of stone, which were somehow hidden from sight.

The S&R TZ swoop was resting on it's kickstand.

Propped up against the side of the white speeder, the blue-skinned tween lounged with his hands tucked behind his head. The breeze flitted with the unkempt mass of violet hair, matted and untamed by the time confined within the helmet that now rested on the ground beside the boy.

This mountain region was clearly meant to be a homage to Korriban, but the temperature and climate made him think of Sriluur instead. He'd spent a bit of time there. Time at the beck and call of the Primeval, as their delegate to the Hutt Cartel. And at the beck and call of [member="Sempra the Hutt"], who'd put the boy to task to answer for the actions of his leaders.

There had been a speeder bike store in Meirm City, over by the copper coasts of Sriluur's acidic ocean. He would go there sometimes, when he could get away from the White Palace. Strange that he would think of that now. Save that, perhaps, he thought that he ought to get some more parts for his swoop. It had been some time since he'd tuned it properly. He hadn't raced it on Zygerria, so it had just occupied space in the Equinox's hold since he'd come to the Academy.

The amphistaff kicked up clouds of sand, as the playful biot dug with its nose into the soft ground. Whipping around, the snake-like creature flipped and darted like a puppy that was chasing it's tail. Smiling faintly, as he watched the creature, the boy pulled a small flask of water from his belt. Popping the cap with his thumb, he knocked back a drink as he sat and just watched the clouds.

And let the day slip idly by.

As she stood upon the top of the dune, her eyes found the form of the large cat bounding across the sands heading away from them. There is something odd about that cat and curiosity got the better of her. Her eyes followed his projected path and in the distance she would just make out a structure or rather what was left of it. Abaigeal pushed out through the force trying to location anything or anyone that would give her more information of their location and if there was some form of way out. As the force spoke back to her, a familiar .. very familiar presence is here on the planet not fair away. In fact, the presence was located in the distant structure which the large cat was headed.

"Master Thurion?", she whispered. Her eyes darted back to the cat now only a dot on the sand. Abaigeal began to run, "Elpsis! There!", she pointed on the run. There was more then he in the location lots of force signatures unknown to her and the cat-like beast is on the way. She fell tumbling down the dune until she reached the lower valley only to get up and continue toward the ruins.

Objective: Investigate Old Ruins

Rasu felt old. Resting against a smooth pillar, the Shi'ido allowed herself time to regain her breathe. Having not seen action since her return to Voss, the Jedi Master was sadly surprised to discover that her physical aptitude had decreased. Ashamed, Rasu had no choice but to wait for her strength to return, welcoming the chance to rest and observe her surroundings. Tash-Taral had remained a mystery to the Jedi throughout her years of travelling, feeling the need only now to explore the vast ruins that littered the planet surface, hoping to gain insight into the history of the Sith world. The architecture resembled that of the ancient Sith design, however she was unable to pinpoint which era. This would have been a simple task for her late Padawan Asaak Tey, who had seemed to be brimming with knowledge as if the Togruta had been a living encyclopedia. Rasu forced herself to chuckle, unwilling to allow her emotions to gain control. She had been absent and unaware of her Padawan's passing; her death leaving a void in the Shi'ido's life. Feeling the need of a distraction, Rasu set off once more, leaving the ruins behind.

Entering a vast valley, the woman remained oblivious to her surroundings as she became lost in her thoughts. As she continued her travelling, her mind became aware of another presence, another strong in the Force. She moved on, curious to discover the identity of the stranger, unsure whether they be friend or foe. Either way Rasu prepared herself for confrontation.

"Oh, I'm quite alright, Nagate," he greeted the padawan with a big smile. He would've offered the man a nod but he feared the little one atop his shoulders would fall off if he did.

Still huddled together outside the entrance of one of the many Sith tombs on Tash-Taral, Thurion and the group of younglings were just about to finish up what they were doing and descend into the darkness and do some exploring when suddenly a massive explosion in the distance could be both seen and heard. The huge mushroom cloud rose from behind the dunes of sand, which prompted Thurion to do a quick head-count of all the children. "Wow...!" they all said in unison, amazed at such an awesome display. "What in the..." was all Thurion could say and think.

Before the smoke was given a chance to settle, another oddity happened upon them in the form of something running towards them in the distance. He had to strain his eyes to see what it was, and even then all he could make out was a trail of dust heading straight towards them. It wasn't a speeder, but rather a living thing and it wasn't showing signs of slowing down. "Nagate, take the younglings into the crypt. Protect them with your life, and do not stray too far. The Dark side resides around every corner." He then addressed all the children. "Everyone, go with Padawan Hei. He'll keep you safe. While you're down there I want you all to hold hands so no-one is left behind, okay?"

"Go," Thurion told [member="Nagate Hei"] before turning to face whatever this beast was. Discarding his Jedi robes in favour of the more combat-friendly outfit worn under them, he planted both feet firmly into the ground and summoned the Force into his being. He was becoming as solid as a concrete wall, unbending and unyielding. As the beast approached, he could've sworn he recognised it from somewhere else. It was also way bigger than he thought, the closer it got. Nevertheless, the Grandmaster was not moving out of its way as it thundered towards him.

[member="Thurion Heavenshield"] | [member="Abaigeal E'ron"] | [member="Elpsis Kallikora"] | [member="George O Rourke"] | [member=Kixi Rajki]

The beast intended to escape into the crypts.... But, there were multiple small humanoids, and one bigger one, down below. Ugh, they were everywhere!!! And now the big fire-maned one stood facing him. The beast stood before the man, fur and spike bristling in an impressive show. There was a roiling mass of emotions and sensations rolling off the beast in waves, likely assaulting the man's senses. Rage, in great excess, almost matched by fear. The beast was angry at the man, for unknown reasons, but also afraid of the man.

KILL!! The beast thought to itself, fangs bared, eyes narrowing in anger.

NOOO!!!! A smaller voice cried out as strongly as it could in the depths of the beasts more primal instinct-driven mind. We hunt prey! Food! And threats! He's not a threat to us! The voice reasoned, as the eyes of the beast seemed to soften slightly, the beast taking a cautious step towards the side, it's body still held long to show as much of it's size advantage off to the man, an intimidation technique. It seemed, almost hesitant to retreat or attack, as it conflicted with itself. It saw the man before.... but....

HE WAS THERE!!! HE WAS IN THE JUNGLE!!! HE WAS WITH THOSE THAT HURT US! HE IS A THREAT!!! Fangs bared again, rage boiling as saliva dripped with the force of the roar the beast emitted. Some of the fresh marks on it's flank, a trio of plasma-based projectile impacts. Deep burns. Burns the rifle of Padawan [member=Audren Sykes] left upon the creatures flesh.

"You....... Why........ Here......." The beast snarled, head low to the ground, as it continued to cautiously stalk, steps silent, but the extended durasteel-shreding claws revealing that the wrong step, wrong move, could easily fling the enraged beast on the offensive. Those intelligent golden eyes were narrowed, confusion rampaging in the creatures mind, an odd duality. One instinct screams to flee, another to kill. And yet a third, unheard voice, completely disregarded by both of the more primary presences knew this man. Knew him...

But the rage. The hurt. The weeks of torture. The Beast was unleashed, and lashing out at almost anything it could.... Only a faint familiarity stayed it's claw and fang.

"Why..... Hurt...... Me....?"

Rescue/Flirt with [member="Elpsis Kallikora"]

Elpsis’ comments made Tempest frown a bit. “I thought you were dead, silly girl!” she said as she helped the redhead up. Still, she gave her a hug in relief.
“How did you end up crashing that ship? And why were you flying it anyway?” she asked, looking at the impressive crater.

Abi had vanished, along with what looked like a giant beast of some sort. She frowned.
“What was all that about?”

She looked over where she could see [member="George O Rourke"] and [member="Kixi Rajki"]. They seemed a bit hurt, especially the Knight, so once her medic had finished treating Elpsis she sent her over to see if they might help the Jedi.

The sword scoffed. “You people have no sense of moderation. One moment you’re all investigating the mysteries of the universe with me then you’re threatening to throw me away! All I ask for is a little courtesy when you inevitably perish!”

Finally they came to the Indiana Jones chasm and Sumiko cunningly determined the source of the mystery.
“A perspective trick. How droll,” Souldrinker commented. “Well, lead on, oh wise and powerful mistress of the night. Let us see whether ancient treasures or dust awaits us.”

The young Pantoran invested a great deal of energy into containing his emotions.

Silhouette against the fading of the sun on the horizon, the blue skinned youth presented an image in perpetual motion. Arms lashed out in a series of strikes and punches, coordinated and timed in movement with his upper body and the movement of his feet. It was a form of unarmed combat known as Teras Kasi. He danced like a boxer and defied gravity with sweeping kicks that carried him through the air in flips and somersaults.

Coiled up on the ground, the amphistaff dozed atop the saddle-like seat of the swoop bike, adjusting how it's body lay atop itself as the beast settled and seemed content to lazily watch it's master.

The boy's breath echoed in his own ears. The beat of his heart, the warmth in his muscles, the sweat flush against his skin... it wasn't enough to re-create the adrenaline he craved. The rush that came with life and death, when each were decided in a moment. But it was enough to merely be himself for a moment. Living on Voss, in the Temple of the Jedi, he was careful to contain his base nature and jealously guard what slipped through the cracks. To be innocuous. To be inoffensive.

He wanted to belong, to be better than who or what he was.

Here, he allowed himself to take off the mask.

All the anger, all of his hate, passion and anxiety set free of the fetters with which he tried to keep the emotion bottled up inside. The aura rolled off of his small form, pervasive and cold. A smell like that of blood lingering on the breeze. A layer of frost covered the ground at the youngling's feet, as the boy opened himself up to the Force and unleashed the sum of all fears.

Dancing on the edge of madness. Walking the thin, black line that divided the beast from the boy. Feeling the Dark Side moving through his body... it made him feel powerful. Made him feel in control. A backflip became a handstand, the boy's legs held in check before he sprang back -- vaulting from the handstand back to his feet. Dropped into a leg sweep. Up with a series of strikes that came with dizzying speed.

A roundhouse kick propelled the motion of another, as the boy whipped around in a series of kicks. He finally came to a stop, slowing the arc of his leg until he'd paused completely, his left leg thrown out and up at a level roughly equivalent to his own height. He held it there a moment, before he brought the leg in, and then stood upright.

He had no idea there was another person out here, much less that they were aware of him. Catching his breath, the youth brought one arm up to his forehead, feeling the skin stick against the sweat. Making his way to the swoop, the boy ran his hand underneath the amphistaff's head before he ducked down to dig through the small saddle bag for a bottle of water.

The biot's head came up, glancing back as its tail began to vibrate like a rattler's.

"What's the matter, girl?" the tween asked, rhetorically. Popping the cap off the bottle, the boy took a drink of water and then put a hand between the coils of the snake-like creature. Jostling the animal lightly, the boy looked along the ground, as though expecting to see a hssiss scurrying by. "Smell something?" he remarked, as he paused to take another drink.

In the Darkness there is Truth
(9)
Sumiko POV
Location: Ancient tomb (away from the main action)
[member="Darth Shadow"]

"Don't be so grumpy. I'm sure there'll be things to kill for you soon." And so the puzzle was deciphered. Looking around, Sumiko called on the Force to pull a load of pebbles and strew them forward, so that she could see the bridge before her. That done she began to slowly cross over it, though she still winced. She was no fan of heights and took care not to look down into the deep pit beneath her.

Finally she reached the other side, since surprisingly the bridge did not give way and plunge her into the abyss. Predictably the chamber she reached was rather large and dark. Sumiko turned to one of the corpses lying around to examine it. It looked horrifically mutilated, and through the Force a sense of danger overcame her. Sumiko would have wondered whether this was a pile-up of tomb raiding cliches inflicted on her as some sort cosmic joke because the Force had a warped sense of humour, but she had to focus on not being eaten!

One zombie pouncing her she was forced to decapitate, yet pain shot through her arm at the exertion and the beast's nails managed to dig into the flesh of her upper arm even as it slumped. Pain coursed through her and she grit her teeth as she pulled upon the tangled web of the Force. She'd simply had enough of beasties trying to eat her and, moreover, she was feeling....very hungry herself.

She had been warned about the ability's addictive nature. As a matter of fact, Aesham's journal was vivid proof of that. But the opportunity to drain these foes of their life force while replenishing her own was too good to pass up. So she lowered her left arm and instead stretched out the shaking right hand. Orange-yellow tendrils leapt from her hand towards these creatures, which were kept alive by the Force. She greedily lapped on them like someone who'd been starved of nourishment, as she sucked the zombies of whatever life might have been inside them - and, more importantly, drained them of the Force. One by one the beasts fell to the ground, like puppets whose strings had been cut.

For her part Sumiko slumped, breathing heavily as the corrupted energies surged through her. She felt...better. Invigorated, stronger...yet also hungry. Her eyes had turned obsidian, wells of nothingness. Slowly she came down from her Force-induced high. Pulling herself together she spotted a single door, very large but showing its age. Part of it had cracked open, allowing access. However, instead of storming in right away Sumiko looked at some runes engraved into it.

"'Gods must know humility and be pulled from their thrones. They must survive as mortals do, or be cast down,'" she read out aloud after using a glowrod to provide some illumination, then frowned slightly. "I suppose this means no Force powers and a boss battle. Ah, well." Slowly she opened the door. As soon as she crossed the threshold, Sumiko would feel the Force ebbing away from her, slipping out of her grasp. It was similar to being under the influence of a ysalamiri, only without the convenient solution of shooting the damn lizard. Further inside the dark chamber lay a large, very deep pool, almost a lake really. As she moved in warily, the water started to bubble, then splash against the shore...

Elpsis POV
Location: Desert, somewhere near what once was a crashed cruiser.
[member="Abaigeal E'ron"], [member="Tempest"], [member="Ryn'Dhal"], [member="Thurion Heavenshield"]

Tempest had arrived and looked sexy! The hug was nice too. "Wanted to sell it. Seemed like a good idea. Got caught by the gravity well." Which would not have happened if Aba had typed in the right coordinates! Though on the flip side maybe Elpsis could've been a bit more attentive. Or the hired help they'd had on the ship.

"Think I need new clothes," she muttered, since only now she seemed to realise that hers had been kind of eaten by the fire earlier. Surely Tempest would not mind helping her out! But then Elpsis was pulled from her thoughts when Aba took off and raced across the desert.

"Aba, fething wait!" Elpsis called out to her, yelling, but there was no stopping than the little spitfire. "Dunno. Giant cat appeared on the ship, then ran away. Felt weird. Had voices talking in its head. Come on." Concerned for her friend, Elpsis took off after Aba as fast as she reasonably could since she was not in a good state, though she stumbled over some skeletons, and then tumbled across the dunes before she managed to pull herself up again.

Alas, the crash had alerted various beasties that were eager for a meal...

She heard the yell come from Elpsis to wait up, and Abaigeal only turned to waved her friend onward to Come On! "Hello Tempest", she shot over her shoulder as she turned on the run. The sand was hard going under foot and soon the effort of the run began to take its toil on her physically, it did not help that she was injured as well, the once white shirt that now had the job of stopping her bleeding leg, was now red with the stuff and she could feel the blood running down her leg into her boots soaking her sock. To say that this felt uncomfortable would be an understatement, but her Master was in trouble!

The carrion birds circled overhead, one would cry out to the other to bide their time and soon dinner would be presented. Abaigeal raised her hand to shield her eyes from the blaring sun to look at them, "Not today", she said to them as they bent their long hideous necks downward to watch and wait.

In a crawling motion, Abaigeal used her hands and feet to climb up the last of the dunes before getting to the ruins, her chest heaved with the exercise sweat forming on her chest and running down between her breasts soaking her the only thing she wore, her undergarment. If one thinks blood soaked boots is uncomfortable a soaking sweaty bra is worse. ( :p) Anyway .. moving right along ...

Pulling herself up to stand straight atop the dune she looked down to see Master Thurion in a face off with the large black cat-like creature. Children vanishing into the ruins ushered in by another padawan for safety and the cat prowled.

Arms spread out to the side Abaigeal started off again head long into the fray until she reached the ruins and stood to the rear of the cat. "Master .. Heaven, ..shield is everything .. alright?", she said stammering between laboured breath and now bending over leaning hands on knees to catch her breath, she managed to raise one hand to ask for a minute to regulate her breathing.

His fists wrapped around the throttle as he forced his way forward. His feline friend needed him, he would burn worlds if he had to in order to bring that Jedi back. James never had a younger brother, he had grown up alone. For that he considered Ryn his adoptive younger brother. He was family damn it. This was more than work, this was his most imporant thing he could do.

This world was a big one. It could take days or months even to try and search it all for Ryn. But there was one way. He was sketchy on it, the Force was a fickle friend to him at best, giving out at the wrong times and never there when the Spacer truly needed it. But now, he was desperate. There were no other options.

"If ye be there," he murmured, 'If there be anything good in ye, let me feel him. Or I swear, I will find a way to burn ye to the hells."

The spacer reached out into the existential mess that was the Force and felt for guidance, for Ryn. His mind searched for something anything in this world that felt like the little fellow. Then he did. On the corner of his mind he could hear him: NOOOOO!

The spacer rammed the yoke even further, following it. A matter of a few minutes more he came close to the Sith Ruins, he could see the furry man--in his aflicted form. The spacer shook his head, that was never a good sign. The Angel gave into a rapid plummet to the surface, setting down with a hard jostle on its landing struts. James didn't care at this point he was worried about getting his friend to safety. He unbuckled his safety harness and began clamoring for the loading ramp shouting to the others, "We got him, we got him, move, move move move!"

Kay was ever so glad that she wore her seat belt. The way that James flew, one would think that they were on a raging river. Poor James. He was an emotional mess right now and she was partly to blame. But now was not the time for pity.

Once the ship finally came to a stop, she unbuckled her belt and quickly got to her feet, throwing her satchel over her shoulder as she hurried after James. The ramp couldn't lower fast enough, her anxiety and fear for Ryn's safety growing with each foot it lowered, until finally they could get out.

Kay let James lead as he seemed to know where they were going. She didn't draw out a weapon for she knew that Ryn might take it the wrong way. All she had to do was get close enough to touch his nose, let him smell and see that he was not alone, and that he was safe. Hopefully that would work.

Ultimatum was surprised at the recklessness of James' flight. The droid was calm as he could be given the dangerous situation. Unfortunately, the Fate was still coming from Mustafar, still far away. It did not mean that it would not take part in this conflict, it just wouldn't be very helpful right at the beginning. He prepared himself for a bloodbath, uncertain of how the others would deal with the situation.

He pulled his small blaster pistol from its place in his arm compartment, he would probably pick up an enemy blaster rifle along the way and use that. Until then, raw strength and strategical pistol fire would have to suffice. He felt some distant push to hurry, he had no idea what their friend Ryn was going through and the longer he was in custody would only prolong whatever suffering he was going through.

He waited until the other two organics had stepped out and then followed. His blaster raised and already beginning to search for enemies. He hoped they were not too late. This would be the first rescue he had ever conducted and he intended on succeeding. He was ready for battle, ready for death, definitely not something he would have thought about before, but right now Ryn'Dhal's safety was all that mattered. "Let's do this. Now for wrath."

For a brief moment the Grandmaster eyed the sudden appearance of [member="Abaigeal E'ron"] to make sure she was alright. He was surprised to see her, obviously, but now wasn't the time to exchange pleasantries considering there was a large cat-thing looking to tear them apart. The Beast seemed conflicted about attacking them, so this was obviously no simple creature. Listening to his incoherent rambling, Thurion shifted his Force energy; he'd prepared himself to meet the Beast head-on since he showed no signs of slowing down earlier. Instead he extended his right arm and called upon the Force to stun the berserking feline, removing his ability to move for the time being.

"No harm will come to you, creature, and you will frighten us no longer." Keeping up the stasis field around [member="Ryn'Dhal"], Thurion carefully stepped towards him, arm still raised. Once close enough to touch him, the Grandmaster gently placed the palm of his hand upon the Beast's furry cheek, stroking it gently. With each stroke he would fill the feline with calm and serenity in an attempt to combat its bloodlust. "Ryn... it's okay. It's me. You're among friends. Everything is going to be okay." Once assured that the large cat would not pose a threat, Thurion gestured for Abaigeal to approach him. "Now, I have no idea what's going on here, but I'm glad to see you're safe, Abi," he told her with a smile before resuming his calming of Ryn'Dhal.

"I take it that explosion was your doing?" he asked while focused on the task at hand.
