Private Rejoining the Order

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Alexandra had long ago ended contact with Jedi. It was before the fall of the Bryndul, back when the Sith Empire and the Republic still were strong in the galaxy. Back when the Confederacy ruled in the Galactic South and before everything had changed. She remained quiet though in her little corner of the Galaxy, meeting Noah and Yasha, making a life with the former general and the former Mandalor. She would not care for the attempts of the galaxy to bring her back into the light of action and yet she still kept up her skills with her family, both her children and her wife and husband. Yet, as time went on she found that her home was empty, it's purpose long lost as she ran her hand over the bark of the tree beside her.

That was why she had Noah reach out to the Galactic Alliance, to allow their home's doors be opened up to the Jedi Order that served this new protector of the Galaxy. Decades had passed with her in isolation away from any such order, and yet even now she sat with the old silver robes she wore. She remembered the days of her Grey Order, of her students, and of her dear friend Taeli Raaf. She wondered if Taeli was still doing well, after all she never blamed the woman for turning to the dark side.

After all, she had originally been a servant of Carnifex before he had become Emperor, learning in his home, becoming a weapon for him and over the years she has fought and found herself almost toyed with by the man. She wondered if he respected her for resisting him, for turning away from him and forming her own path? Surely if he found her to be a disgrace or annoyance her home would have been destroyed a long while ago instead of the half hearted attempts that have occurred over the years. Especially considering she stole Yasha away from his grasp and has kept her out of his reach ever since then.

Those thoughts would be shoved down though, after all she had a guest she could feel coming closer. She wondered if the woman would arrive in a personal shuttle or if she had taken a speeder to come here from one of Alderaan's cities. Their home was secluded after all, guarded by shields, droids, towers with laser cannons. It was a fortress thanks to her, Yasha and Noah. The three of them had created a place where even a concentrated force would find it a bit vexing to assault. Surrounded by a vast forest that Alexandra knew and could travel through blind if she had to. It would make her laugh a little at the thought while she leaned back against the tree that she was bonded to.

Even now it held half her soul, even now after six decades it stood tall and strong, and even now her eyes cast up to the leaves of the white tree. It shone like a beacon in the force, telling all that this place welcomed the Light, that it breathed with the force itself. Alexandra couldn't help but think of the old days, when she had maintained a dark side forge beneath where she sat now, those days when she operated as a balance for the force rather than a beacon of the Light. She would sigh at the thought, at how often she almost died and the times that she had. OF the time the Netherworld encroached on the galaxy, when she had fought beside sith and Jedi to hold back forces that were beyond both.

Today was going to be interesting, that was certain. Her looking over to the door and waiting patiently for Valery to arrive, probably escorted by Noah.

"Anything I should know before I meet her?" Valery asked Noah Corek Noah Corek as the speeder drew closer to its final destination. Noah had waited for her arrival in the capital city's spaceport, and from there, the two had taken a speeder to travel up to where his wife resided. Valery had heard some stories about her and the children she had with Noah, but beyond a name and those brief stories, she knew little to nothing about her.

Something she hoped to change today.

"I always thought your family wanted to restrict contact to most of the outside world, you know." Not a weird thought, she imagined. Noah had met her family years ago and occasionally visited, but Valery had never really been introduced to much of his. So, it made her curious. What had changed?

Why did they want to meet her now?

"But you do seem eager for me to meet her," Valery teased Noah with a little smirk. He had always spoken fondly of his wives and children, so it was only natural that he felt eager today.

Noah had to admit, he was surprised when at breakfast, or more accurately when Noah was cooking breakfast this morning, his wife Alexandra Feanor Alexandra Feanor had asked him to contact someone inside the Alliance so she could have Padawans and Knights of the Jedi Order over to the estate to help train them against the coming darkness. He was so surprised that he had asked his wife to repeat herself, which as usual led to a typical remark about his growing age which led to Noah's typical retort that she was indeed much older than he was despite not looking it.

This had lead to a conversation about how while Noah had Hekler'Kok and the Legion and Yasha had her terraforming work to keep them occupied, Alex had not much to do the same. Most of the kids has long since left the nest with only their youngest, Cahira and Alexander, remaining in the house. To put it in simpler terms? Alex was bored and as such had enlisted her husbands help in finding someone within the Alliance who could arrange a training program where Padawans and Knights could come to train.

And Noah had the perfect person to contact, the grandmaster of the New Jedi Order Valery Noble Valery Noble and it was with that he found himself traveling in a speeder with said grandmaster to his family's home. His shot shot towards Val when she asked her question and he shrugged a little before turning his eyes back toward the small path that had been cut into the dense forest that surrounded the family estate. "Alex is...Alex. I know that's not helpful but it's hard to describe her to someone that doesn't know her. I'd rather you make your own judgements when you meet her. But she's smart, smarter than probably both me and Yasha combined."

As the speeder ambled toward the estate he heard the next statement out of Val's mouth and once again shrugged. "We still do for the most part but we're less concerned about it now. We had always restricted our contact not for our protection but our kids protection. Now though? Well the only two who are still at home are Cahira and Alexander and only for a few more years at that."

A few more minutes was all it took for the speeder to reach the estate, and a proper estate it was. Driving down the driveway lined by veshok trees on either side, having been imported from House Corek's holdings, Noah finally pulled the speeder up to the front of the estate and parked it. He chuckled when he heard Val's teasing statement and saw her teasing grin before hopping out and leading Valery to the front door. "We've been friends for a many a year now Val and I've had the pleasure of meeting all your kids, except Eryx which we must change, but now I'm happy to be able to show you my family for a change."

Alexandra figured out that she would not have to wait long, her closed eyes seeing them getting closer and closer before she knew she would need to stand up and greet them. She would brush off the clothing she wore, careful to make certain that things were orderly in her garden. Yasha would likely be on the far side of the estate today, knowing that she and Jedi never really did well around eachother. After all the woman had once been ally to Carnifex, and had threatened many of the worlds that once served under what was the Galactic Republic.

But, she would never fault her dear beloved for such things, Alexandra herself never truly believed in one side over the other when it came to the Galactic Balance. No matter what they did, the light and the dark in the Galaxy would always move to counter and grow when the other was too dominant and for her the Dark had become too much. Even if the Galactic Alliance protected the Core, there was still much of the outer reaches of the Galaxy that remained in pain and struggle.

She couldn't do much to help herself, her connection to her dear tree made certain of that and made any trips away difficult for her, but she still believed that she could do more to help.

When Noah and Val entered the main hall, they would find Alexandra waiting there, her hands behind her back and her eyes opening up to look right at Val. She looked the woman over, studying her more intently than Noah likely had seen from Alexandra in quite some time. After all, the woman was someone that Alexandra did not know well even if they were a friend of Noah's and at the end of the day Alexandra still took the place of guardian of the house.

Its the least she could do considering so few of those who had lived here remained in the galaxy.

"Welcome, I hope your trip did not take too long, and that Noah didn't take up too much of your thoughts with conversation. Im sure he had alot to say about our home on the trip here. Shall we all go and have a seat, and something to drink?" She would wait, offering to the two something to drink without hesitation.

"Well, I look forward to meeting her." Valery offered a smile and briefly turned her gaze back out through the window. Alderaan was quite a beautiful planet, so even after visiting it many times before, she still loved it whenever she returned. But when Noah continued about his family, Valery did turn back to him. She understood the want to restrict contact for the sake of protecting the young — she essentially did the same.

Very few knew where they lived on Niv Hani.

Similarly, she understood it was exciting that he could finally introduce his family, "You'll see little Eryx soon enough, I promise. But first it's time to meet yours." She chuckled and turned her eyes towards the front of the speeder, just in time to see them arriving at their location. With Noah's help, she stepped out of the vehicle and followed him into the estate. As expected, it was taken care of quite well and truly felt like a home.

Not too strange, considering how lose this family was.

After passing through a few hallways, Noah eventually led her up to the one and only — his wife. Valery dipped her head in greeting and offered a polite smile. She had noticed how Alex looked her over, but she assumed that was merely curiosity or her being on her guard in her own home.

"Thank you for the warm welcome. The journey here was fine and it's a pleasure to meet you," Valery said with a genuinely warm tone of voice. "Taking a seat with some drinks sounds lovely. Please, lead the way."

Noah smiled happily when Val mentioned meeting Eryx finally. "Ah good, it's been so long since I've held a baby. I've talked with Alex and Yasha about having more but...well anyways you'll probably meet my youngest today as well. Cahira is shy but she warms quickly while Alexander is...well 'excitable' is probably the best word to describe him."

Noah's eyes lit up and a smile graced his features when he saw Alex greet them and he left Valery's side to instead glue himself to his wife's, one arm wrapping around her waist while he leaned to press a kiss against her cheek. Turning towards Valery with a smile he bowed his head and using his free arm gestured towards Alex. "Valery may I present to you Alexandra Feanor Alexandra Feanor , mother to my children, love of my life and my wife. And Alex may I present to you my friend and Grandmaster of the New Jedi Order, Valery Noble."

When Alex mentioned taking a seat and having a drink he nodded his agreement. "A great idea honey. I think the family dining room would be best. I'll lead the way so the two of you can get acquainted." Gently taking his wife's hand he beckoned Val to follow and quickly led them through the halls of the estate.

Valery Noble Valery Noble would notice as they walked through the halls they were decorated with an eclectic amount of paintings, artifacts, sculptures and general knick-knacks, though it seemed that the theme of aforementioned items could be derived from three distinct cultures: Echani, Epicanthix and Mandalorian.

It would not take long for the trio to arrive at a rather small dining room for the size of the estate, cozy in design and obviously meant for informal family dinners. Walking to the table he pulled out a chair for Alex and then Valery before nodding. "You two talk while I get the drinks." With that he made his way towards a door just off of the dining room that was most likely the kitchen.

Alexandra would be rather silent, listening as Noah introduced her to Valery, the eyes of the woman seeming be exploring every inch of the Jedi Grand Master but not making it clear what she was looking for. Eventually her smile shift, one that showed a bit more of a relaxed manner to her thoughts while Noah took her hand and beckoned for Val to follow. Alexandra still seemed to move with some caution, and if Valery reached out she would notice that there was an area deeper into the estate where she could not sense. Alexandra had ensured that the estate's collection of Ysalamiri were in place, cutting off any access to the very garden and the tree within, not yet trusting Val to be allowed to connect with the creation and thing that Alexandra had nurtured for close to sixty years now.

Along with other things Alexandra had no interest in Val meeting quite yet, being a bit more protective of Yasha and keeping Jedi away from her than Noah might even be at times considering how distrustful Alexandra could be.

Either way as they reached the small dining room, Alexandra would smile to Noah and nod, letting him go and get the drinks while she made herself comfortable, the process a little slower thanks to the tail she had to account for but not overly awkward. Instead Valery would find Alexandra's eyes back on her again, this time though Alexandra didn't seem to be looking at her and instead was looking past her her and above her, studying something that wasn't there.

"I must apologize, I am quite curious." She finally said, letting her eyes return to Valery Noble Valery Noble 's own eyes. The eyes Valery would see would be ones that almost looked like a predator searching for prey, not quite threatening but definitely searching for something.

"Its been a while since I have gotten to meet Jedi, the last ones I remember well being the Heavenshields. They were a good family... Kei Amadis was also such, and of course Dragonflame, Sochi, Romi, and so many others. Alot of names and faces I remember quite well, both fighting in the early days when I had served under Darth Carnifex, and later when I ran my temple and fought for the Republic. Even during the times I fought for the Mandalorians I got to see just what so many were capable of and I needed to know what I was looking at with you today." Alexandra was never the most... polite or diplomatic with her words, no that was Noah's job. Alexandra was an assassin, a mercenary, a warrior, and only in the later of part of her life a more reclusive sage type.

Even then, she had taken every chance she could to find the next fight.

"Noah has mentioned your family before. It is good to hear that the Jedi haven't become dogmatic over the last years and cut off relationships again. I must know though, is your Order committed to extinguishing evil in all it's forms? Removing from the Galaxy any sign of darkness?" She leaned forward, clasping her hands together in her lap, staring into Valery's eyes and waiting for the answer.
