Conceived by the Dark Side genius of Darth Carnifex, the Regrush-class World Despoiler was his next ideological step in the terrorization of worlds. Designed in the shape of a massive chevron, the Regrush could fold each side of itself down into a vertical alignment during transit. When a Regrush approached a designated world, these halves would unfold and lock into horizontal positions. The Regrush would then land on the planet's surface and began to consume the planet's natural resources.
This was achieved by a series of massive grinders located on the front of the Regrush. These grinders would eviscerate and smash anything in their path, chewing them up and depositing what was left into molecular furnaces. The deposits would then be dematerialized in these furnaces and rearranged on the molecular level into other material, primarily construction material.
The Regrush could access this reservoir of material to construct anything from weapons and armor to battle droids and starfighters. Through this method, a single Regrush could infinitely replenish its reserves of droids starfighters that it carries within its ventral launch bays. Standardly, a long Regrush maintained a complement of six-hundred-and-forty-eight droid starfighters and thirty-six shuttles, both of which could be replenished as the Regrush consumed more and more material from a planet. It took about half an hour for the Regrush to replenish an entire wing of droid starfighters when all of its internal production facilities were bent towards that objective, and four and a half hours to fully replenish the ship's entire complement of fighters.
One-hundred-and-fifty heavy turbolasers, fifty ion cannons, two-hundred blaster cannons, eighty proton torpedo tubes, and fifteen tractor beam projectors rounded out the Regrush's offensive complement while overlapping deflector shields and multi-layered reinforced Quadanium, Durasteel, and Impervium armor plating protected the vessel from attack.
A single Regrush was crewed by around fifteen-thousand officers and technicians of various functions, while one-hundred gunners worked in tandem with Tsudakyr drones and overminds to man the multiple weapon systems. The gunners were hooked up to their equipment via specialized neurocrowns, fully immersing the gunner in the control of their weapon.
The vessel's main systems were powered by Isotope-5 reactors while the weapon systems were powered by Amaranth Crystal generators, both producing power on a far greater level than conventional generators.
