GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Red Team, Red Dragons, Dragon Team
  • Affiliation: Dazzle, and the United Thraedar Navy
  • Classification: Black Ops and Recon Squad
  • Description: Red Team is one of a dozen or more squads of RAPTRS, specially trained Thraeda infantry whose original use was as super-elite combat forces capable of causing havoc on the battlefield. Yet, due to being trained as independent tightly knit squads with a large variety of skills and specialties, they became the perfect candidates to scout out this new galaxy they found themselves in. Red Team has adopted this goal wholeheartedly, often decorating themselves and their armor with small trinkets or trophies from their little excursions and often going against the official standard of keeping their armor decal free. COMBAT INFORMATION:

  • Combat Function:
Spec-Ops: All RAPTRS are highly trained infantry meant for small squad missions such as assassinations, data retrieval, subterfuge, supply line disruption, ship to ship boarding parties, hostage rescue, and other kinds of mischief the general public isn't supposed to know about. Red Team is no different, in fact, they excel in the more stealth orientated missions far beyond friendly territory. They are incredibly independent and resourceful, and this has led them to become one of the leading scout groups of the United Thraedar Navy.

Large Scale Warfare: RAPTRS and by extent Red Team are usually deployed in large-scale warfare to take care of specific 'hindrances' to the campaign. They spend most of their time behind enemy lines disrupting supplies, assassinating officers, and sabotaging heavy armor or weaponry. Whenever they're deployed to the front lines, their high level of training and cohesion as a group makes them an incredibly deadly force, focusing on the heavily fortified areas or large heavy armor that other infantry simply aren't equipped to handle. They have a very special role. Stay mobile, take care of the big targets, and hope that the rest of the army can clean up afterward.



Strengths:
  • Walking Arsenals: Red Team is equipped with every weapon the U.T.N. has produced, as well as some equipment and weapons salvaged from across the galaxy. This has made them incredibly deadly both in firepower and team tactics as their armor constantly keeps each other updated on their positions, line of sight, and communications across large stretches of terrain.
  • Wall Runs: Red Team is incredibly fast as their armor takes most of a load of their equipment and they have been specifically modified to be the perfect Thraedar soldier. This means they can run for miles and even temporarily run along walls for a few seconds. Not to mention their increased jumping capability thanks to both biology and their armor.
  • Expansive Training: Red Team has members who have been trained in everything from demolitions to hacking.
Weaknesses:
  • Naive: To put it simply, Red Team is new to this galaxy. Sure they've heard things and been briefed on others, but to truly experience the galactic culture is another thing. It's clear they're not from around here and they often find themselves going into situations with little to no info, especially on the combat tactics and gear of their enemies. After all, they are the team supposed to be finding out that information for the larger Thraedar army.
  • Slugs and More Slugs!: Red Team carries no blasters, relying on the ballistic weapons provided by United Thraedar Navy. This is fine, but it means they have to physically bring ammo with them and makes long-term engagements problematic as running out of ammo is a very real threat to them. They either rely on a bunker or ship for supplies and if that's gone they'll be forced to use unfamiliar technology or none at all.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Red Team was one of the first RAPTRS Teams to be commissioned by the United Thraedar Navy and it was Red Team and those few others that would be put through the grueling testing required of them, far more grueling than the later RAPTR teams as the program was refined. Yet, they persevered. Through every simulation, they built group cohesion, the 12 combatants (Dazzle [Squad Leader], Shock, Techy, Romeo, Firefight, Scales, Wendigo, Tutor, Bogs, Time, Foxhole, and Knock), as well as their designated pilot Vapor, practically became a family. Together they rose to be one of the top RAPTRS team and were certainly the first to volunteer to scout out this strange new galaxy. Under Dazzle's leadership, Red Team would be the first Thraeda to step foot onto these alien worlds in a whole new galaxy.
