Being proven right was supposed to feel great. Saram however had lived long enough to know that was rarely ever the case. It was a vicious cycle it seemed. A cycle that some just couldn't seem to break out of. The Enclave would have to learn the hard way what came of adopting the Death Watch's senseless crusader mentality. Galactic instability wasn't the best for long term business. Conflict, as long as it stayed stable, was always profitable. Or so she'd been told in any case. As far as she was concerned, the Enclave's threat to Mandalorian reputation and the potential repercussions were the real issue. Not that her ori'vod and alor disagreed with her on that front, it was that his priorities were keeping the company that kept gal and kai'tome on their tables and tebec in their guns, afloat.
Heinous as their actions had been thus far, there was little point in sparking conflict where there was none yet. That said, that wasn't to say that there weren't other ways to stop this before it got too far.Teams like hers were being put on standby across the company in the event that an opportunity arose to act. Then they got word that some GA Marines were looking for some pointers on how to beat the osik out of their Enclave burc'ya. Saram was happy to oblige.
She and hers had not only trained to kill their own, but had in fact killed other Mandalorians. Strider Garon's cavalry were among the more ntoable among them. That fight had been far from fair of course. Only there was a misconception that Mandalorians fought fair. Honorably, yes. Fair, no. The difference being that while any Mandalorian worth their salt would not under any circumstances take and leverage hostages, especially unarmed civilians, there were very few Mandalorians who would balk at using what would balk at using 'illegal' weapons against their opponents. The way she saw it, it was up to her to make it very clear that it was that distinction that would make all the difference out in the field when conflict did come knocking.
"Final in t'ad, "chimed Rav's voice over the intercom. She nodded absentmindedly even though Rav couldn't see her and glanced out the projected view of the exterior. A quick glance over at Vikhar and Anila seated across from her and then at Ran confirmed what the acknowledgement signals flashing in her HUD told her already. Saram did a quick check of her own gear, flicking off the safeties moments before she felt the gunship begin it's descent. The deck plate beneath her boots rumbled slightly as the landing struts came out of their housing and the gunship set down on them almost without her noticing barely a moment later. The ramp popped open with a hiss of hydraulics and Saram and the three of her fellow ramikade fell into step with her without further prompting.
She took a quick look around the base, aware that if the personnel had not been informed of their arrival there would be a lot more firepower aimed in their direction. Instead she and the others kept their weapons stowed and stood patiently waiting for their GA client.
