Faction Proof Of Concept (NJO/GA)

Rhemti felt the tension melt. The pain, disappearing. He watched the creature change, shift before him. His own eyes widened in awe, taking it all in. He'd helped. The sithspawn was no longer a sithspawn.

It was a loth wolf. But it wasn't, all at the same time. The sith alchemy, although the dark energy had been purified, had left scars. Physical or not, the loth wolf would never return to what it used to be, but the Jedi... Rhemti. They could still help it, and that was enough to make that goofball grin wider than ever.

"Rest well. See ya later, big guy." The Nautolan gave a brief wave, letting the connection between them fade so the wolf could get its much deserved nap.

He'd have to see if the Boss would let him visit the wolf later.

He gave a wave to Jasper and Tarish, to all the other jedi and bystanders who'd joined them, flashing that wide grin of his before turning to race after his master.

While her conversation with Holly continued, Valery's eyes were drawn back to the healing efforts rather quickly. She could feel a shift in the Force — a fading of the Dark Side, and a huge sense of relief. It had worked. The Loth Wolf was still scarred by what the Maw had done to it, but it was no longer in the same kind of pain that it was before.

A proud smile tugged at the corners of her lips, and her eyes shifted to her husband.

He seemed not only satisfied with the outcome but also determined to continue his work. To analyze the results and figure out ways to help other creatures affected in similar ways. It hardly surprised her, given his devotion to the protection of others, but she could also tell that this took a lot of effort.

Even without their bond, she knew that he also needed to rest. So as he turned away, drawn into his own world, Valery quickly hopped over to pull him out of his thoughts for just a moment. "Heyy, well done," she said with a smile. "I'm not going to stop you from working more, but don't push yourself too far, alright? You've made a lot of progress already today. The next tests can wait until after dinner and a good night of sleep."

She shot him a grin, knowing that she was usually the one getting these talks, but she was being serious. So, together with him, she'd soon leave the facility as well, to return home.

Amani kept her focus tight as the procedure began, so much so in fact that she almost didn't even realize when it had finished. The healer blinked, and relaxed as the creature opened its eyes. The effect was even more similar to the purification of a kyber crystal than she imagined. Amani couldn't help but break into a smile at the amazing results. The potential of this breakthrough was monumental, if they could apply it further. She walked out of the operating theater with the rest, absorbed in her thoughts as she made her own recordings of the experiment.

"…It can talk?" Amani eventually said to herself, having not even fully registered that in the moment. She chuckled quietly, and shook her head.
